I was very impressed by the service, the website is easy to use and search, and the delivery time was very fast. I didn't pay for the next day delivery service but it arrived the next working day anyway. Would definitely recommend and use again.
I guess that's the problem with reviews. Either great 5stars or very bad 1star. The trouble is if you're the guy with the 1 star problem. I bought a New Laptop from them in Febuary that soon became faulty. The fault was found to be water damage by OEM techs and not under warranty. I was advised to return to seller (SaveOnLaptops). I was not the cause of this damage(1). I had been sold a faulty laptop as new by SaveOnLaptops. The item was sealed and looked fine to me. A faulty damaged laptop was sold as New by SaveOnLaptops. So far this farse has taken 6 weeks and I'm still waiting! I won't trust this site or it's sister sites (box.co.uk) again.
EDIT: (1) "and later found the laptop had been registered in 2012, two month before I had bought it!" I have edited out the quoted text as I have found out since that it's common to start the Warranty period from shipment date. New purchacers can update this but that's not required in the UK only proof of purchace needed.

I am a returning customer to saveonlaptops.
Manage to pick up a very good laptop at an even better price!
Very happy customer, even more than the first purchase 8 months ago, Which I didn't thin was possible. It is rare that a company can exceed your expectations the second time around when originally setting the bar so high.
Very happy.
No hassle, straightforward and delivered on time and in perfect condition, happy customer
I was very pleased with my experience with Save on Laptops. Their website made it easy to filter the laptop requirements down to display the computers that would fulfill my needs. I was then very happy with the laptop I got - a fantastic computer for a very reasonable price.
The delivery was quick and I was kept notified throughout the whole process so I knew exactly when my computer would be delivered - right down to the 1hr slot the delivery man would be here!
The only thing that I would improve would be to reduce the amount of faff at the checkout stage. I don't really want to have to create an account before buying something - particularly with a company that I probably won't need to use for a good few years now so removing that or making account creation optional would be good. Apart from that, a painless shopping experience! I would definitely recommend this company to other people in the future.
Excellent service and very swift delivery would recommend and will definitely use again thanks team
Loving this new laptop, after recommendation from a friend I ordered a Lenovo Z370, I didn't pay for delivery as I already had a laptop to keep me going for the 11 days it could take to be delivered. I ordered my product at 8 o'clock in the evening and by 9 o'clock the following morning I had an email and a text to say there was a problem with my order...I work nights so by the time I got this email Save on Laptops had sent another 2 emails/texts requesting that I call them so that we could sort out the problem. When I did call them at 2pm I had a very friendly helpful man take my call and deal with the issue at hand (my fault not theirs.) Ten minutes later I got an email to say my laptop had been despatched! If that wasn't good enough I got a text at 7am the following day to say my laptop would arrive at sometime between 11.09 and 12.09 that morning, the courier knocked on my door at 11.25! I could not be happier, a great price, fantastic customer service and communication and super speedy delivery....Ordered at 8pm Tuesday night and arrived Thursday morning irrespective of the delay in despatch. A****
laptop was great no problems at all plays games like no tomorrow thanks great item very good service will shop with you again no problem thanks
They refused to accept it back as faulty. The touchscreen was spongy to the touch (£550 spent on this item btw, so not a piece of cheap rubbish) and rattled - the only was to stop the noise was to physically hold the screen down with one hand and then touch it. Typing on the screen sounded like tapping a dinner tray with thimbles on your fingers. I returned the item and their engineer said it was "to manufacturers specifications" (lesson learned - never buy Acer products then) and thus wanted to charge me further to return it to me. Obviously I wanted my money back as it was not fit for purpose and was told I would lose 25% of the original price (about £140) for "re-boxing and the engineers time". I asked to speak to a manager several times and they simply would not come to the phone, or were in "meetings" or "big meetings". In the end I had no choice but to accept the 25% "returns penalty". I have never felt so robbed/ripped-off and had I simply bought the item from somewhere like PC world I would've had a full refund, no questions asked and it would've been worth paying the extra £50. I made a formal complaint a week ago and they have still not responded to it. I doubt they will. Do not use this company.
UPDATE: On 8th May, after a number of emails I was finally contacted by the returns manager and the 25% they had taken off me for re-boxing and engineer's time was refunded to me. While the tone of the accompanying email was indignant (apparently mine was the same standard as many others) in that they still refuse to accept a manufacturing fault, I am nonetheless very happy that I received a full refund in the end. It shouldn't have taken so long, but if you are having an issue my advice is to stick to your guns.

Ordered the laptop on a Sunday night, the laptop turned up Tuesday morning. I had selected the basic delivery option, so that was unbelievably fast.
The laptop is fantastic with no problems at all. Hopefully I won't need to use their customer service for any faults, as there are none. But if I did I'm sure they would be fine.
My only very small quibble would be the need for a surcharge for credit cards. But other than that a brilliant company.
Sent my asus laptop back twice after problem with it booting up. They can't find a problem with it after having it a second time for over a month and even had the cheek to ask me to pay for the engineers time for checking it. The worst online experience ever. If you know what's good for you avoid them like the plague.

What else I should say? Perfect service, excellent product, very good price, fast delivery , thanks guys :-)
I've now purchased two laptops from saveonlaptops. The first was new, competitively priced and delivered quickly. The second was an 'A' grade item that was also competitively priced and delivered quickly. However on arrival it had a cable missing, I reported this same day by e-mail. We then had a bank holiday weekend so I wasn't over concerned about not getting a reply. However a couple of days after the bank holiday I still hadn't heard from them. So I tried again, this time using the web site contact form. I had a reply within hours and the missing cable arrived (signed for post office delivery) within two days. I also had a follow up from my first mail referencing to the the web contact response I'd received. It's easy to give a positive review when things go right, but life's not always like that and knowing I'll get this kind of helpful response when things go wrong will only encourage me to use saveonlaptops again.
Bought for my Mum, very speedy delivery quality sealed brand new product arrived the next day via reputable courier. Set it all up and showed Mum how to use it then left her to get acquainted with her new machine. After a while and some questions later she's very happy with the Asus K53E and very happy with savonlaptops. Thanks very much
Ordered and paid for a Toshiba Satellite Pro gave me a basic Toshiba Satellite standard that was faulty and looked second hand...it definitely wasn't new. When I complained a disheveled, unkempt individual who claimed he was the returns manager was totally unhelpful only returning my money after confrontation. If this individual is representative of the company then buyer beware...shabby and shoddy!!

After researching various laptops, suppliers and reviews of them I decided to bite the bullet and buy one from Save on Laptops and have to say that I'm not disapointed in any way. I've also suggested to a friend of my wife who is looking to upgrade that she should consider doing the same.
I ordered my Norton Internet Security via eBay and it came quickly and as new, in a sealed pack. Installed with no problems using the product key.
At first i had to pick up my Laptop at my door step when there was nobody to sign for the delivery. I spent over 600 pounds on a ''machine'' and i could not even get a call to arrange for the delivery!
on opening the package. it seem intact. but i found out that i got a core i7 laptop while i ordered and paid for a i7-3520M Dual Core Processor. this was so bad as i couldnt return it cos i was already running out of time to install a programm on my laptop to complete some of my assignment.
then i had to re-install virtually all the drivers over and over again. It was like i got a dual core 7 problem for my money.
Despite all trouble, my touchpad wouldn't stop malfunctioning. I cant work without using a old usb mouse of mine cos even the mouse i bought from dis pple will not even work properlly. Evertin seem so not-right with dis.
where im gonna b so pissed to act is when im done with my assignments and i still dont have my cash back.
i beg u saveonlaptop to pls jst contact me asap to pay me my cash back cos im dealing with my problem on this purchase. since i'v learnt that your policy is all customers for himself.
i shld ve seen this coming if i had taken my time to find out that they do not even ve a customer phone number to reach them on in times lik this.
you keep it on lik dis, u'll ...... so pissd

I bought an Ultrabook from Saveonlaptops last week. Quick, tracked courier delivery. Quick, positive consumer services. Highly recommended.
I bought a Z580 laptop on 27/11/12 the reason I chose to buy from Saveonlaptops as opposed to anywhere else, was because of the £75 cash-back promotion.
The laptop arrived quickly and I am very happy with it. Unfortunately, the rest is not so good. After nearly five months! I have still not received the promised cash-back.
I had a conformation email from Lenovo 17/01/13 that the cash-back request had been approved and that payment would be forthcoming. Later, 23/02/13 in a reply from Lenovo to my request for an update on the status I had this little gem.
“Due to the high success of this promotion, we are currently facing slight delays in payments. Please await the cash back amount of your claim within the next three weeks”
That was six weeks ago, still no £75 and now they don’t even reply to my emails requesting updates. To be fair, they’re probably too busy running the new Easter cash-back promotion. You have been warned!
Phoning Saveonlaptops was absolutely useless; as far as they’re concerned, it’s as issue between the customer and Lenovo and is unwilling to take any responsibility for this promotion, despite getting the benefit of the sale due to promoting this promotion, if you see what mean. Luckily I have access to legal advice and it may be that they are incorrect.
Good luck trying to contact Lenovo also. The only working number I found was to their tech support. The guy I spoke to was initially very helpful but when he came back from talking to his supervisor the shutters had come down and he couldn’t end the call quick enough.
This may be an isolated case, I’d be interested to hear if it isn’t ?
Update:
I copied the gist of the above to the head of Lenovo UK and received a reply in minutes saying that it would be dealt with immediately and sure enough, it has been. I have conformation of payment.
I found a laptop on here that was far better than I could get for the same price anywhere else. I checked out the reviews as i was expecting the offer to be too good to be true but this company were excellent. I had a different delivery address to my invoice and the company checked that I was legit before sending, I received the laptop in 3 days. FANTASTIC SERVICE AND BEST PROCE BY A LONG WAY. I recommend this seller!
I ordered an asus n56vm laptop with i5 processor, 6gb ram, 750gb hd.
The laptop was ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and received on Thursday in line with the bargain £3.95 2 day postage i requested.
The packaging was secure and product has been wonderful so far.
The biggest win being the £500 price tag, which was a real steal for this quality laptop.
Will use these guys again in future without hesitation.
Found purchase and website a very positive experience. Bought in last week before Xmas and laptop was ready to pick up on time etc. text message updates all the way through the order processing and beat their estimated completion time by some margin
Ordered a Lenovo Ideapad Y570, delivery within two days.
Was issued an alert [via text message] the day before arrival, stating the date and approximate time of delivery as well as options to rearrange delivery.
Overall a comfortable, hassle-free experience. Will definitely use again and recommend to anyone unsure about this site.
I ordered on a Friday and my bank delayed payment until they verified it was me using the card. This meant I missed the last time for processing. I had a message immediately telling me I missed the time and would not get the item until Tuesday. It arrived on Monday. Query by e mail about the cashback offer was answered the same day.
I have already recommended this firm to friends.
I recently bought an Asus laptop from Save On Laptopsfor work. I have been using the website as a reference and price comparison for a couple of years now, and as someone in the web development business myself, I found their website very well designed and structured, and I like all specification information are in tables and tidy. However this has been my first purchase on Save on Laptop - we needed a new laptop quite quickly, and as many have commented, they deliver very fast.
14th: I ordered just a few minutes past 4pm on Thursday the 14th, almost instantly I got a 'item has been dispatched' email.
15th: got the laptop just after 1pm. Excellent.
It's all good, until the laptop is heating up and the cooling system started to make an enormous noise... fair enough, it's probably Asus' fault, there's no way every retailer can check every they sell and customers won't be happy if they received something that's already been opened. So immediately I submitted a ticket on their website for return, and a customer service person emailed me just before 5pm to apologise and ask me for a time for DPD to pick the laptop back for return. I said Monday, but didn't expect that she can arrange that - it was towards the end of Friday.
18th (Monday): I got an email to say that they apologise for being late getting back to me, and then we arranged for DPD to pick up on the 19th.
19th: DPD picked up and left a slip as well so I can track it.
20th: Got an email saying they have the laptop now, and it might take up to 7 working days to check it.
21st: An email said it was checked and everything is fine. i.e. not my fault, ask me to get in touch to arrange replacement or refund, and I asked for a refund, cause we couldn't wait and have got another one else where. The girl on the phone was very nice and pleasant about it, and did warn me this might take up to 7 working days and the Easter weekend is coming up.
25th (only 2 working days later): got a email saying the refund has been issued (in their system, they put it as 'dispatched', so for a minute I thought they might have sent us a replacement by mistake, but when you login to your account, you can see all that was dispatched is the credit to your bank account), and today (the 26th of March) the money has showed up in our account safely.
So I'd say, if you are patient (I know, it's hard to be patient with these things), and careful, this can be very easy - but I'm sure there are cases that are more complicated. Running a business myself, I do appreciate their customer service, and especially how they keep you informed very well. I was a bit concerned by some previous reviews about how the return and refund process can be a pain when I was returning it, and did think of repairing it myself. Yes, it can be frustrating, but the same for returning anything you bought online, you have to pack them up, and on many occasions you have to go to a post office or find a Collect+ or something. But I'd say it's only 12 days and 7 working days from receiving the faulty laptop until the refund, it's very well done for Save on Laptops.
The only reasons why this is not 5 star is... well, a) you never feel right to give a shopping experience that involves returns 5 stars... (unless they gave you a very generous compensation? - I don't think any budget place can afford), b) there was a damage on the packaging (definitely didn't happen between them and us), but I didn't spot it when it first arrived - only noticed when i was packing it back, and because they dispatch things so fast, they probably didn't check it properly.
Very bad attitude to customers. When I wanted to get help with buying a laptop, I just canceled the order already paid. During a call, they behaved arrogantly and especially not how I hasten to advise properly ordered. Unnecessarily endanger me on additional costs by having to buy a second time. The Bank is counted as additional commission me because I paid the account in euros. Then he pointed me in installments, additional fees, for which a fee charged to my account. There is no possibilities of buying from them using a debit card, and the only stretch of the additional costs by having platic with the commission as a credit card. Giving clients cheat on your website to sell Toshiba Satellite Pro C850 and the laptop does not send plain PRO.
In conclusion advise against all new customers shopping in the store.
Serge.
Ordered a laptop from saveonlaptops, IT never got past the delivery depot before it went "missing".
Ordered a more expensive replacement with a 6 month warranty.Cost of laptop plus delivery was over £500.
Yes, 6 months and two weeks after delivery laptop has ,apparently, suffered a "core component failure" according to the technician who assessed it for repair and said its time for a new laptop. This guy works on laptops full-time.
Saveonlaptops are not interested in any goodwill gesture.
That equates to £100 per month of ownership!
Time to get real saveonlaptops !!!!
UPDATE; MY DAUGHTER got the number of HP technical dept. from saveonlaptops website. She explained the problem.HP viewed her invoice from saveonlaptops, updated her warranty to a full year, collected her laptop by courier, repaired it and returned by courier.Well done HP! You have two customers for life.
Saveonlaptops...you have lost two but judging by your customer service I am sure you will not care a jot!

VERY QUICK ,KEPT ME INFORMED ALL THE WAY TO DELIVERY TIME,,NO WONDER OF EXCEPTIONAL RATING.THANK YOU
The order from Save On Laptops arrived on time.
It wasn't package very well with the laptop box getting damaged slightly, but there was no damage to the contents.
I would definitely recommend this company for any of your computer technology. I am so pleased with my computer it is excellent so easy to set up and couldn't believe the price which included free security download. The computer arrived within 2/3 days of ordering. So a massive big thank you to Save on Laptops for such excellent service.
This was great - from the easy to use website, clear pricing and comprehensive technical information, to the swift delivery and completely satisfactory product. I did some fairly thorough research and couldn't find anyone who could come close on price for the model and spec I chose and a bonus was the option for delivery to a local business - in my case The IT Crowd in Bromley. Not only does that eliminate problems in the event of being out at the time of delivery, but the guys at this shop are great too - so if you have the option for local delivery, do consider it.
You'll generally find me bemoaning the standard of customer service in the UK, so it really is a welcome change to experience some first class service. Other businesses - take note!
Richard
Never heard of Save on Laptops until my son told me about them. I was pondering what to have for my 65th birthday later this month. Choices were a watch, iPad or a Laptop. I have already got a decent watch, I have got a Kindle fire HD which suits me, so the Laptop won. I had been looking at Laptops in PC World and what spec to go for. So on the advice of my son, I went onto Save on Laptops site and found the same models I had seen at PC World only Save on Laptops models had higher specs and better prices. I was more than happy.
I paid for next day delivery and tracked its wereabouts of my order via the tracker facility on the site. It was down for delivery between 13.47 and 14.47. It arrived at 14.45 hows that for timing!
Would recommend Save on Laptops to all my friends, no problem.
I bought laptop from "saveonlaptops" and chosen delivery within 5 working days. I have been waiting for 7 working days and got an email from them - they do not have this laptop in stock. For this period of time they increased price for this lap top on £20. On that matter I asked them to give me discount £20 to swap for alternative. They just ignored me and did not compensate the time I have been waiting because of their fault. Such a bad service from the start. I was lucky I had bad experience with them to avoid any further buys from "saveonlaptops" in the future.
