The worst buy in my life

I bought laptop from "saveonlaptops" and chosen delivery within 5 working days. I have been waiting for 7 working days and got an email from them - they do not have this laptop in stock. For this period of time they increased price for this lap top on £20. On that matter I asked them to give me discount £20 to swap for alternative. They just ignored me and did not compensate the time I have been waiting because of their fault. Such a bad service from the start. I was lucky I had bad experience with them to avoid any further buys from "saveonlaptops" in the future.

Extended warranty is a SCAM!

My laptop broke after a year of having it and i sent it back because i purchased the extended warranty.
I have sent it back to them 4 times and each time it comes back with a new problem.
It has cost me around £40 is phone bills to them and i am still left with a faulty laptop!

I would avoid at all costs! save on laptops and Box.co.uk do not help after you have bought from them!

I bought my ultrabook laptop from Save on Laptops and am very happy with the price and service. I am also glad that I got the laptop around £150 cheaper that any other retailer in the market.

Fast Delivery, Helpful Customer Service

Item arrived the next morning, despite a 5-day delivery option and the problem I had with my billing address. They asked me to call straight away, and resolved my issue quickly and courteously, so that the item still arrived very quickly. Best value I found on the web, and particularly difficult to find model, so I'm very happy with my order.

The jury is out on service

Bought an Asus netbook on free 3-5 days delivery, which arrived next day with a timed slot via DPD, so full marks there. The packaging was the manufacturer's (rather thin) box in a polythene envelope. After charging the battery and starting the Windows initiation, I discovered that the screen was faulty.....broken LCD suspected.

The returns service was very quick to respond, and the machine was picked up next day, with an acknowledgement of receipt by the company the following working day. I am now awaiting information on replacement. Watch this space......

Excellent Value for money. Extremely fast delivery.

I had a great experience with Save On Laptops. I ordered on a Wenesday at midday, it arrived the next day at midday. I live in Dublin, Ireland. Before 9am on Thursday, I recieved a text and email with a time slot for the courier to arrive. On Wednesday, I was asked to phone Save on Laptops to answer some security questions about my Debit Card. I was on hold for about 10 seconds, and then dealt with, it was just a 2/3 min phone call.

I ordered a Lenovo ideaPad Z580. It has an excellent spec. I7 Quadcore, 8 Gb Ram, Nvidia 2 GB Ram Graphics Card, 1 TB hardrive, Blu Ray DVD, USB 3 + 2, VGA + HDMI out. £617 sterling, or 715 Euro. I did a lot of checking on other sites. All those sites were around twice the cost for the same specification.

I had a driver problem with the WiFi, but that's because I use Ubuntu Linux. A little searching in the forums and I solved it. It's a Ubuntu not Lenovo problem, if you're happy to use Windows 8.

The company, EXCELLENT, though the product I bought had some issues.

I bought an Acer Aspire E1-571, Intel® Core™ i5-3210M Laptop. This shop had the best price around (and I did research), the ordering process was OK and the order arrived very quickly. So, service-wise the purchase process was flawless. Now, I never needed to call them for anything so I cannot comment on their after-sales service.

There was, however, a problem with the laptop itself. I am not rating the shop any less than the maximum here because to their defence the laptop came perfectly sealed from the Acer factory, so although they sold me a product with problems, the fault was caused by Acer, not SaveOnLaptops.

The problem: The laptop WOULD connect without issues to a wireless network, BUT the connection was extremely slow. I knew the problem was not related to the network as I have several other computers connected to the same network, operating just fine. It worked, sometimes, and when it did, it was extremely slow: imagine you navigate to Google.com and wait 2 minutes for the search box to show or you get a page cannot be reached error message. The solution was to go to device manager, uninstall the wireless driver, scan new software, and let the system re-install the driver. A relatively simple solution, but 1) How can a machine leave the factory with a dodgy driver??? and 2) I cannot expect anyone without some experience in installing device drivers to resolve this. Had it been anyone else without this experience, they would have just had to send it back.

Another positive remark - they ask for feedback (which I was going to give anyway) and they point you to this site after the sale. This is excellent because I am naively assuming they have no stake in this site (trustpilot) and therefore they cannot tamper with the feedback.

Trustworthy Efficient With Excellent Communication And Service

I have ordered two laptops so far from these guys and the service is far greater than that you would receive from 99% of the suppliers out there, I have become accustomed to the UK and its very subpar service no matter where you shop, but Save On Laptops do not follow where others lead in the poor service industry instead they provide a service to be proud of.

What a vote catcher!

I ordered 2 Lenovo laptops and paid for 2 day delivery - instead, they arrived the very next afternoon, well packaged and in perfect condition. Both laptops were up and running within about 20 minutes. No complaints here! Keep up the good work, guys, very impressive indeed for such a small outlay on my part :)

Faulty laptop sent.

My Asus K53 arrived very quickly so no complaints about delivery. The laptop keyboard didn`t work properly as when some keys were pressed they displayed a different function than that shown on the keys. I explained this to saveonlaptops and they told me to return it (at my own expense). It`s just as well I also contacted Asus technical help because, a few days later they replied that the laptop had been sent with the language set to `English (United States)` and they told me how to reset it to `English (United Kingdom)`. Depending which language the laptop is set to affects the function of the keyboard keys.
The laptop is now working perfectly thanks to Asus, and no thanks to saveonlaptops!

I placed my order late on a Sunday night. The following day I was informed by e-mail that my order was being processed and would arrive on the the Tuesday morning, although I had chosen the 3-5 day free delivery option. My laptop duly arrived on time and I am delghted with it.

Worst service ever, avoid!

Really bad experience. I bought a laptop off them 10 days ago and they sent me the wrong product. I phoned them and they told me I was in a queue and my return would be processed in order of the queue. 2 days later they reply and say they will pickup the product, by this time the birthday I bought the present for has been and gone. Day of waiting and the courier doesn't come so I have to phone again and reorganise. They claim they didn't get the email even though I replied and sent it to their customer services. The wrong laptop finally returned they call me to say the listing was a mistake on their website and I would have to pay extra to get the product I ordered!!
Birthday missed, can't return the accessories I bought from another company as its passed the return period and the company will only offer me a refund. Oh by that way that takes three days.
Avoid like the plague!

no cashback as promised

I bought a lenovo laptop on the basis of a £50 cashback but when I tried four times to claim it I was rejected with an automatic email. Saveonlaptops said they could not help as it was lenovo not them. Be warned.

Acer Laptop 4820T

Excellent price and delivery on a Acer TimelineX 4820T laptop.
All fine so far.
I wish the manufacturers would issue a recovery disc, instead of advising you to make one- which took 4 DVD and two hours to produce.

A friend of mine asked me to have a look on the internet for a new laptop for his wife's surprise birthday present, I looked on EBay, Amazon, Laptops Direct and many other sites to get him the best possible deal.
I then came accross " Save on Laptops" They had a huge selection to choose from, it didn't take me long to find the right Laptop for the right price and I did some comparisons and just couldn't find it cheaper anywhere.
Tip : Save On Laptops sell on EBay but they are cheaper if you go direct to there website :)
I ordered the Laptop at 15:50 on a Friday and it arrived Monday lunchtime, I even got a text telling me the approx time it would arrive.
This IS by far the best service I have ever received on an internet purchase and I can without any doubt fully recommend Save On Laptops.

I HAVE USED THIS WEBSITE 4 TIMES NOW AND HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED EVERY TIME WE RECEIVED OUR PRODUCT ON TIME AND IN VERY GOOD PACKAGING I ALSO RECEIVE AN EMAIL TO LET ME KNOW THE EXACT TIME IT IS BEING DELIVERED.

Good laptop but paying for it was a nightmare!

I needed a laptop urgently for a new starter in our small business and was recommend save on laptops by our IT consultant...
I chose a laptop and paid for next day delivery on my credit card... that was when the fun started...
First of all my company Mastercard was not accepted - I spoke to someone on the phone who said that Mastercard were having problems with their transactions (potentially true but I paid for several other items using the same card with no problems that day). Because of the urgency I then paid by bank transfer (faster payments) - however despite the fact that the money left my account I was repeatedly told that my money had not been received and therefore my order could not be dispatched... Again due to the urgency I then paid on my personal credit card and my order was dispatched.... At this point I had therefore been charged TWICE for one laptop and the reasonably priced laptop I had bought cost me over a thousand pounds... After many many phonecalls where I was repeatedly told that the money had not been received although my bank confirmed that it had left my account and been received I eventually had my money returned to me 10 days after it was debited. This was probably the most stressful online purchase I have ever made and what made it worse was that I was always made to feel like it was my fault and that I had done something wrong, when all I had tried to do was to buy a laptop.
As I said the laptop is great and delivered on time in the end but the experience of buying it was very bad for me.

Excellent value with prompt delivery.

The only reason i have given 4 stars for this purchase is because of a misleading photo they had used to advertise the laptop i eventually bought from them.

The laptop is an i7 Asus, but in the photo that had been used, instead of it saying quad core it said dual core, which, given some of the reviews i had seen, made me a bit wary. Anyway I sent an email for clarification which was promptly replied to and i took the plunge. I am pleased it did. The laptop arrived within 2 days (although i was told it could be up to 5 days). It was well packaged and it works like a dream. So Thanks for the good service.

Easy to order and great value

Ordered an HP Easynote TE, chose next day delivery and it duly arrived.
Delighted with Laptop which I had origionally intended to buy from TESCO's but it was much better value from Save on Laptops now. I would not hesitate reccomending them.

Unhappy with customer service.

The purchasing procedure was straight forward, no problem there. I ordered 2 laptops with leather bags and when the delivery was received there was only 1 laptop and 2 bags. I returned from business 2 days following delivery and there was no communication from them as to why. My card had however been debited for the full amount. I called and spoke to Raj and asked for an explanation. He said there was a stock discrepancy and the Lenovo model had been discontinued. I pointed out that it hadn't and was still on the Lenovo website. So he got his terminology wrong but they didn't have any more despite the website showing that they had stock. I asked if they had an alternative to the spec of this Lenovo model. He checked and the answer was 'no'. I asked for a refund and he said this would be sorted. This conversation took place last Thursday and the refund arrived today. Shortly after the call I checked their website and there was the same Lenovo model but with a larger HD with 20 showing in stock. I sent Raj the link asking why this hadn't been offered as an alternative. He said that model's details had only just been uploaded and asked if I was interested in it. "Only for the same price" I responded. Nah! No chance but I thought it was the least they could do. I ordered the missing one directly from Lenovo in the end.

Well priced, efficient & reliable service.

Recently bought the Lenovo Idea Centre B320 all in one PC as their price was the most competitive and best spec PC. It arrived within 4 days as expected and is excellent. Wireless mouse & keyboard means no clutter. The 21.5" touch screen has brilliant clarity and much better than my office laptop which I realise is smaller, but they are poles apart. The whole family use it and the speed is fast. I had it up & running within 5 minutes of delivery ! Great job, thanks.
