After checking out many companies to deal with my special product request I chose Scan.co.uk and I didn't know it but it was a wise decision indeed. I required next day delivery and they did just that. With very good packaging I could not ask for more. Will buy from again, thankyou!
Ordered a Case and Power Supply from Scan on the 1st, emailed us an accurate time of arrival (They said 2:15 to 3:15 and it did infact come between then) Items arrived in great condition Would reccomend this site to anyone, great PC Part supplier Only complaint I have was pricey delivery, but it was quick.
I made three orders with Scan over the Christmas holiday period. The first, and most important order - a Christmas present - never arrived at all. The second was an oversold offer that they couldn't fulfil. The third wasn't despatched on the date promised, which was frustrating as I’d taken the day off work to accept the parcel and sort everything out. But none of these things are my main concern as they are all arguably outside of Scan’s control. My disappointment stems from the customer service experience afterwards. Not once was I offered any kind of gesture in the way of compensation, or even a verbal apology. I had to argue for refund for the missing Christmas present - they wanted to wait for the insurance claim from the delivery company first. But how long would that take? - and as of now it still hasn't hit my account. This contrasts sharply with customer service experiences I have had with Amazon, dabs or eBuyer. In customer service terms, Scan are light years behind.
This is my first time using scan an old friend told me about them. most of the time i use Amazon. so took a chance and ordered a seagate 1TB baracuda HDD well packaged and delivered a day late but that's because of New Year delivered early by DPD.
Clearly a difference of definition what is meant by in stock. No explanation of why payment was taken after it was known they were not in stock. No explanation of why 5 working days later and a day after the expected delivery date they tell me goods are not in stock.
I Have Ordered alot from scan ranging from £1200+ worth of equipment. But never had any problems until now. They send me the wrong mouse, and refuse to get back to me. The difference in the price range is huge, and the mouse is a cheap one. They wont contact me or email. Simply ignoring me. I have never been cheated ever, but this has to be the lowest thing they could have done. I will never shop at scan AGAIN! Back to ebuyer.
Firstly I've always been happy with Scan, they're always helpful and I've had nothing but good customer service from them.
Ordered a new PSU late one night and the next day found one a little better for £2 more, I Facebooked them with my order number and asked them to change the order last minute, which they did without any hassle.
Secondly, as I'd ordered on a Thursday (at around 2am) the order was due to be delivered on the Monday (Next day delivery, dispatched on the Friday), but the order actually arrived on the Saturday morning around 9am which I was very happy with.
Previous orders have also gone without a hitch from Scan, I would recommend them to anyone. Great company.
The whole ordering process, parcel tracking and delivery was super smooth. Item ordered in the afternoon, followed by order confirmation emails, plus updates for picking, despatch and a tracking link. The next day I was able to track the driver on the tracking together with where I was in his list and an accurate ETA. The guy arrived 1 minute early. This is how online ordering and delivery should be done!
We've used scan for many years without any problems and have spent a good deal of money with them over that time. Our latest order was to rebuild 2 pcs, so ordered what parts we did need. When we put the first one together we couldn't get it to post at all. There was power going through the motherboard, but that was all, just wouldn't boot. When we took it out and compared it to the second one, we found part of the CPU connection to be missing, including a pin. Lot's of back and forth between scan including pics, them saying that the warranty is voided etc because the CPU was installed (complete bs, how can you tell if something works without putting it together). Sent it back only to be told that I could be liable for courier costs! Scan are now saying on the RMA ticket on the site that the pin is bent underneath and that I am refusing to sign a disclaimer! What disclaimer? That's an outright lie right there, They haven't once mentioned a disclaimer. Add to that the fact that there's now way the pin is bent underneath as there's nowhere for it to go, and that it is VERY clear that it is missing.
After spending so much on this order, you would think that they would be keen to keep our custom and rectify the situation rather than lie and dismiss responsibility. Not happy at all with the service and will be going elsewhere in future.
I was amazed of how efficient Scan.co.uk processed my order. They were consistently updating me about my order. My order was received in record time and packaged incredibly well. This is the best online company I have dealt with in the UK!

Scan Computers provides you with up-to-date delivery confirmation via email and text. You know the exact date your order will arrive, and you will receive a text message an hour before delivery.
So no chasing up your order and worry about not being available when it arrives. :)
