I ordered a couple of items through two different channels yesterday, Both Items arrived this morning, I bet they could have delivered during the night if I had stayed at work long enough, but I needed some sleep.

After shopping at websites like Amazon and Play.com, mainly for their free delivery services, I decided to try another site; Scan is much more dedicated to Computer components and it really shows. There are many options that are clearly aimed at people who build computers, such as a custom basket that allows you to pick each of the parts you will need for a computer so that you don't miss anything or forget to buy a specific part. The bundles and pre-constructed components are very good value for money, and have no nonsense like some other websites.
During my time using Scan I did not run into any issues or serious problems, my only minor gripe being that they could improve the layout of the site a small amount, but it is by no means bad. The service is what really impressed me about this site; Throughout the process of purchasing a product, you're given constant updates on the progress of your payment, delivery and other important information, that are sent through both text(SMS) and E-Mail, so that you are sure not to miss any important updates. Very impressive service on Scan's part, that I am really not used to after using sites that I listed above.
The choice of delivery service was also very good. DPD, who I have also written a positive review for on this site, also gave me updates and information on the progress of my package, and even gave me a very precise time-span of when my package will arrive, that - even more surprisingly - was absolutely accurate. The packaging the product (an expensive and somewhat fragile computer component) arrived in was stellar - not over the top with masses of paper and bubble wrap, and not underpackaged in just a shoddy little cardboard box. There was enough bubble wrap to protect the package, but not so much that I had to send a search party out to find the product in it! Well worth the small £4.19 I had to pay for delivery, it really shows it's premium quality.
After my product was delivered, on time and in perfect condition, I sent positive feedback to the staff at scan, and received a very friendly response from the staff there, and so I decided that after this extremely positive experience, it would be rude not to write a review about their service!
Very impressive service that I am really not used to after using other sites, very good choice of delivery service and friendly staff. Top-notch, I will be buying products here again.
They are as good as any tech supplier for delivery and (if you look around) price. If you want to use any of their other services (e.g. to return a faulty item under warranty) other than sales, get the wallet out and be prepared for arguments.
I buy 95% of my computer parts from Scan, always happy to recommend them to others. I have been using them for many years and found them to always be helpful and maintain great customer service even as they have grown in size. A pleasure to deal with.
i bought a NZXT Phantom 630 Matte Black High Performance Modular Ultra Tower Case USB 3.0 w (ebay item number:130972411334) the other day from scans Ebay outlet.
they then declined the sale and refunded me because they listed the item for the wrong price rather than honoring the sale.
i have tried to contact scan through ebay but they have banned me from buying from them and also blocked all my messages.
i have since tried to contact scan by other means and still had no response from them. very poor customer services from a company i thought i could trust and have done in the passed but they will be avoided like the the plague from now on.
Have ordered several parts on several occasions from SCAN, each time they have been delivered within 48 hours, DPD courier and nicely wrapped in bubble Wrap in secure package, No issues ordering from this company again in the future and would highly recommend

After using another big online computer parts distributor for a while I turned to Scan initially for the good prices only to be also very pleased with the service from them also.
The prices have been very competitive and generally lower then the competitors. The couriers they use also provide live updates via text as to what your order is up to (which I think is a great feature).
Buy with utmost confidence from Scan. Keep you informed every step of the way regarding your order. They also use DPD for delivery services, who keep you informed of timed delivery slot within 1 hour time slot. Overall a great buying experience
When you order from Scan, you get information emails about despatch and then DPD take over and email you on the day of delivery with the hour time slot in which your delivery should arrive. Not only do you get your goods at good prices from Scan you don't have to waste your time waiting all day for a courier. Better still DPD give you a map and you can see where the courier van is in relation to your address.
This is utterly wonderful if you have to nip out for milk or get the kids from school. As long as Scan use DPD, I will be ordering from Scan.
Good prices, Q collect is a great idea. The staff are especially unfriendly in store & as others have said taking broken things back can be very difficult. As with everything you get what you pay for. It's cheap so the service is cheap too, understand this & you won't be disappointed
Scan Computers is my one and only source for computing equipment, hardware, gaming hardware and peripherals. The prices are very good and the delivery or collection times are very fast! The support team are also very fast to respond and they are happy to help you with any concerns. The shop itself is very nice inside, there is a lot of gaming hardware and peripherals on display and a member of staff is always happy to help. I would definitely recommend Scan Computers to anyone interested in purchasing computing items.
I've been a Scan customer for more years than I care to remember. Back in the dark ages I remember queuing for ages to order then even longer to collect. I used to have what I called a "Bad Scan day". Not any more, the Q collect system is perfect for me as I live about 20 minutes from Scan. I select what I want from the website, webchatting with a sales rep if I should require any assistance or advice on compatibility issues. I pay online and get a text message from my phone when the goods are picked and ready. My last Scan experience was just perfect, I waited 2 minutes for my stuff to arrive. The staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. Oh, and another small plus, you'll struggle to find anywhere that will beat them on price.
Have been using Scan now for a decade. Never had a problem, always super pleased with the service, quality and competitively priced stock. Wouldn't shop anywhere else! Always a total pleasure dealing with the staff who are nicer than most family members! Cheers for being awesome!
Scan is an excellent company, they always have lots of choice, very competitive pricing and very good sales. I have bought from them a few times before and I intend to buy many more parts from them in the future.
Most of the items are in stock, and if they aren't, it is only a short time until they will be.
Their Q-Collect service is very useful as it allows people who live near their warehouse to reserve items and pick them up directly from the warehouse, saving Scan and the Customer money.
I've never had items from scan delivered but from friends I'm told they are delivered quickly and without any damage due to them being wrapped very well.
They have reviews on items from others so you can see what others say about the product before you buy, as well as having a showroom at their warehouse/store where you can view products before you buy, as well as their 3XS systems, which I have never bought, but my friends have and they speak very highly of them.
Overall a fantastic company that I recommend to anyone who wants to buy PC parts, accessories and other items that Scan stock.
Scan have always been superb for me. I have had to return things and got refunds no problem. I buy lots of things from them but being local I am able to order and pay online, then when they confirm I can go and collect using the q Collect service. This means there is no waiting around and I can just pop in, show my ID and then come away with my item. Perfick.
I had a really bad experience with WEA+ who didn't deliver or refund for £490 worth of PC parts.
Had a look at Scan, saw the same parts, ordered and had next day delivery.
What more can you ask for from an online retailer.

I have bought kit form Scan many, many times and there has never been a single problem with any of my orders in terms of delivery and prompt service.
Having said that however, their after sales service is somewhat poor. I have had delivered an SSD which turned out to be faulty (Lost a good chunk of data after being powered off / on again). I sent it back to scan who proceeded to 'test' it (Connected it, wrote data to it, read it back, didn't power it off like i had said in the RMA), and returned it to me stating it was fine and tried to bill me. After some heated phonecalls they got me to send it back again, tested it properly this time, and eventually sent me a replacement. I wouldn't normally make such a big thing of this, but i have recommended Scan to friends who have proceeded to buy their kit from them, be sent faulty products, and then had to do battle with their RMA department to get replacements, so I know it's not just my bad luck.
Excellent sales service but be warned about their returns department, they're not very good.
I’ve purchased from SCAN almost since the day they first opened. Usually their service seems good – reasonable technical support, pleasant staff on Q Collect and prices that are amongst the best in the industry. However, get a product that fails, or worse, develops an intermittent fault and you’ll see how their after-sales service falls short of the best. All too often SCAN will tell you that you should return the product to the manufacturer or to contact the manufacturer’s support staff for help; forgetting totally (or conveniently) that as a retailer, consumer law puts the responsibility for faulty and/or products not of merchantable quality squarely on their shoulders.
Of the many products I’ve purchased from SCAN only a handful have had problems but on almost every occasion SCAN has opened the dialogue by telling me to contact the manufacturer. When one insists that they, as the retailer, take ownership of the problem their usual response is to point out that I will be charged if, in their opinion, there is not a problem; or not one they can identify.
When an SSD, purchased from SCAN, lost its operating system (WIN 7 message – No Operating System Found) SCAN followed the procedure described above, effectively I was left holding the baby. Having put the original hard disc drive (HDD) back in my computer I got the computer working again. I then set about using another computer to test the SSD. Unable to find a fault with the SSD, but reading on the internet of others who had the same experience when employing an SSD in their computer, I decided to refit the SSD, set it to long-life (rather than performance mode) and try again. Two months on all is well but no thanks to SCAN. These days I think very long and hard before purchasing anything from SCAN, now my supplier of choice is Amazon as their after sales service is, in my experience, exemplary.
I have been using Scan Computers for years now and while a big part of the reason is that they're just round the corner, the main reason is their huge range of products at great prices. I often find the odd part slightly cheaper elsewhere but when coupled with the fact I can just pop to Scan and get everything I want, it's brilliant.
For a first time pc builder I was worried about spending a massive amout of money only to do something wrong and lose everything. But with scans installation insurance I was able to spend £20 to protect a £900 gaming pc from my clumsy hands when I made my order I was flooded with texts and e-mails taking me through the full stages of the ordering process. I was extremly happy and relaxed by there actions. This will be the only site I would use if needing hardware again.
I ordered a PC case from Scan after much deliberation. There were cheaper prices around but I wanted an easy transaction. I ruled out everyone else by checking TrustPilot. As soon as I'd ordered (from Scan's e-bay shop) I got a flood of emails telling me in detail what was going on. The case arrived well within the one-hour window for delivery I'd been given. No problems whatsoever. I'll be using them again.
I have been using scan from the early days, and in all them years they have never let me down! High quality parts, very rare to have a DOA part, I've actually not returned anything in 5years! That says a lot :) and when you need customer services they are polite, fast and informative. Well done scan, keep it up!!!!!
I recently purchased two items from scan one of which was delivered and the other I collected in store (Middlebrook) both times I was kept informed as to when delivery was taking place or my order was ready for collection. The whole process was simple and efficient.
I bought a printer from Scan that, after two months, developed a fault.
When I returned the item, in person, at Middlebrook, they told me to contact the manufacturer.
If I bought a BMW, would I have to take it back to Germany each time it developed a fault?
I stood my ground at the returns desk; refusing to leave until I had the problem solved by them.
Eventually, a manager was called and, on viewing the lengthening queue behind me, they swapped the printer and then advised me that next time I should just contact the manufacturer!
It is noticeable that Scan do not make any effort to come on here and defend themselves.
Couldn't care less, perhaps?
I've been using Scan since around 1988, and over the years I've purchased a LOT of items from them, including several of their excellent 3XS systems. The reasons I use Scan are the excellent customer service, great prices, and lots of stock. It's handy that they're very local to me as well. Just a few minutes drive away. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and courteous of course, as you'd expect.
When items are ordered and in stock, they are lightning fast in supplying them. For example, I very recently ordered one of their 3XS PC systems (I even reconfigured it online, so it wasn't a "standard" item) on a Saturday evening, and just over 24 hours later on Monday afternoon I got an email to say the PC was ready for collection! Fabulous!
If there's a computer item I need, and Scan have it, it's extremely rare that I will go anywhere else.

I had not used Scan.co.uk before and so was uncertain of the kind of service I would recieve. However their pricing seemed to match up or better competitors, they offered a good range of delivery services and had a good selection of products.
I wasn't amazed by their website - which appears too cluttered but knew what I was looking for regardless. If browsing, the website may be a bit overwhelming.
Upon placing my order, I receieved several emails each time my order went through a different stage of the process. It was great to see, and something all online retailers should be doing.
I simply couldn't fault this level of service.
