I believe the company behind scentmall also trades as perfumes.bg. Unfortunately I too bought before I checked and have now written off Euros 109.00 on two bottles of Mystere de rochas which didnt arrive. I did get some responses to my email but they just stopped when obviously the perfume didnt arrive and they probably just got fed up pretending to have sent the stuff in the first place.
Who knows what can be done about this but the first thing I do now is to check for review and feedback websites on any obscure site BEFORE i order.
I am very pleased with scentmall. A co-worker told me about your sight and I'm very happy he did. I will continue to make purchases from you. Delivery was very prompt and the product was in perfect condition ( I had ordered from the floor/counter sample). Thank you.
I got a fake Gucci Rush from Scent Mall. I believe I will get a full refund after calling the UK European Consumer Advice center on 08456 040503. I would recommend you contact this number if you have been similarly scammed.
I ordered perfume in time for Christmas and was relieved when it arrived as it beat the bad weather, so very happy. Then I realised it was the wrong perfume but it was too late to return for an exchange. I have no idea if it was fake - as many of the other contributors have mentioned. The packaging looked fine and it was well wrapped etc and therefore in good condition.
I returned the item at the beginning of January as agreed with ScentMall and with their agreement that postage would also be refunded (surprisingly). Obviously a hollow promise as nothing received to date. And as advised by others my emails are now also being ignored.
I have emailed again today and taken the advice of a contributor and added the ECC: Trading Standards in to see if this will have and sway. Fingers crossed!!
Placed an order last July and when it arrived it was not what I ordered. Box was bashed and torn and the pump didn't work so I wouldn't have kept it anyway even if it was what I had ordered. I contacted them and they advised me to return it. I had to pay the postage but they said they would refund it. 4 weeks later I contacted them to see where my reorder was and the next day I got an email to say it had been dispatched. 6 weeks later and still nothing arrived. By this time I was emailing them every few days and got no response. To date I have never received this order but luckily a friend told me to contact my credit card company and after sending them copies of paperwork/emails etc they gave me a full refund. If you paid by credit card well worth contacting them as it worked for me.
My hsband ordered me a bottle Of Giorgio Armani " Gio" For xmas 2010, It arrived on the 11th Jan 2011, but the wrong one. Contancted them, & they ofered a replacement, or I could keep the perfume, & they would give me a £2o voucher. As I didnt like the perfume they sent me, I returned it, costing me £7-26p, which was supposed to be refunded. I have contacted them on a regular bases, being nice, annoyed, threatening, & pkeading, but nothing works. I've even threatened them with legal action, but they have now started to ignore me. I will not lket this go untill I have got my money back in full, & done as much damage to this so called company as possible. The two sites I usually order my perfumes & cosmetics from are, "LOOKFANTASTIC", & "FRAGRANCE DIRECT". Both are great, & delivery is within hours, rather than months. Highly recommend them.
After being burned by these pirates I have investigated this outfit on the net and the scam is huge - tens of thousands of complaints, and probably many more people burned who have just given up because the loss was under $100.
The true scale of the fraud is almost certainly millions of dollars. Some of the scentmall sites have been shut down (and formerly 'dreamstorage')
but they are opening new ones with different variations
www.scentmall.com (closed down)
www.scentmall.co.uk (closed down)
Same crooks, same scams - either they send nothing then email fake delivery information until customers give up or actually ship some rubbish fake perfume. There are a lot of details on the web if you need confirmation google “scentmall” and “fraud” or “scam” or “Cheat” to get upwards of 100,000 hits. Big time scammers!
DO NOT TAKE ANY NOTICE OF FAKE 5 STAR REVIEW on 5TH NOVEMBER!
These guys will offer you a great deal then rob you blind by sending you fake and also incorrect products then offering you a voucher, or refund if you send the stuff back. Then you will not see your money again. I fell for it, bought 2 bottles of Helmut Lang Cuiron for £62 and got 2 fake bottles of Egoiste. It was only after this happened that I did a bit of searching and discovered that they're a bunch of frausters and rip everyone off. I wish I'd found it out before, but looks like I'm not the only one who's been duped. Their website is really convincing. I URGE everyone else who has had a poor experience to report them to Watchdog - I just have. Please do - and I also think that Google should take some responsibility for hosting their obviously fake adds.
SCAMMERS LIARS AND CHEATS.I ordered NU by YSL was sent Chanel Mademoiselle instead.Thought it look wrong took it to two stores in my town both agreed it was a fake.Cost me £61.47 so please lets get this site removed before any more people get ripped off
We orded some perfume from scent mall and when it arrived it was the wrong perfume and i couldnt contact them, the when i seen people writing this, i opend the perfume and it was Fake and smelt like cleaning product. Im really upset about this and need to know how to report them.
FAKE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I will be contacting police in Sofia also all the authorities there and in UK, plus Chanel maybe they can do something about these fraudsters. They sent FAKE Coco Mademoiselle Chanel, I did order Givenchy 111, but then again I should have known better it was too good a deal to be true! Unfortunately I did'nt know about this site .
Stay away from this company. I received the wrong product, badly packed and damaged. I was told that if I sent it back to address in Bulgaria, the refund will be organised automatically. Never happened! Be aware and do not by anything from them!
My first order took two weeks to arrive. When it came it was not the item i ordered. So i have returned this item but have not received the item i originally ordered. So not only i am out of pocket for the perfume. i have also had to pay to return the item they incorrectly sent. The emails are coming back undelivered and the english phone number rings three times and then cuts off. This is not an english company so please beware.
A fraudulent company trading on the internet, on no account should you part with any money on trust to Scentmail.co.uk. They are ripoff merchants and I find it shocking that Google are still lending their site to such a blatant scam.
I wish I had read this review site before I spent over £40!! Perfume arrived but is clearly a fake. Dodgy box, poor quality bottle and spray lid had clearly been removed and superglued back on once filled with horrible smelling imitation. STEER CLEAR and save your money.
WHY THE HELL IS THIS *** WEBSITE STILL ON? THEY JUST RIPPED ME OFF AND I ONLY REALIZED WHAT A BUNCH OF THIEVES THEY ARE WHEN I LOOKED THEM UP AND FOUND REVIEW SITES LIKE THIS... Honestly, as I can see it here, they've been stealing money from people for quite a long time, why the hell aren't they behind bars??? In some countries their hands would be cut off already for this...
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
They say their perfumes are 100% genuine - total lie, they are 100% FAKE.
I ordered Chanel 19 and waited over 4 weeks and wrote 3 emails only to receive a very bad copy of Chanel Allure.
I have just received an email from them asking me to return the Allure but after reading all the reports, I shall keep it and pass it on to Chanel.
Bought some Dior for my girlfriends Birthday, arrived 2 weeks later, sneakly wrapped in selophane, but a total fake. smells like hairspray, bottle is damaged and looks like a market bottle rather than the legitimate spray. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
Totally embarrased giving this to my girlfriend. went in the bin and has ended up costing me an extra £60.00
I placed an order for Paul Smith London 3.3 oz only to find out that the product was discontinued 18 months ago so when I checked the confirmation e-mail, I saw the company used a Bulgarian address. My concern brought me to this website so the first thing I did was complain to Moneybookers.com (08703830232 select Option "0") and asked them why they didn't check that one of their clients is a fraudulent operation. All it took me was a 2 minute search on Google to come across these reviews to confirm this.
I also wrote to the Police in Bulgaria (http://www.mvr.bg/en/contactus.htm) to notify them that there is a fraudulent operation based in Sofia and I would request you all do the same. I only just sent this message so I haven't had a response yet.
When you write to the Bulgarian Police, make sure you quote the address where scentmall.co.uk is located;
Dragalevska 30A Str
I only just sent my message so I'll post another when I hear back from them.
I bought 2 bottles of Christian Dior Jadore perfume over 4 months ago and when they arrived I was disgusted with how they tried to pass off such bad fakes as the real thing. I complained and they told me to return the items so that they could process the refund - which I did, only to have them tell me that they are still checking with their warehouse to locate my returns and until then they would not be able to refund my money! After a while, this one agent Alexander Ivanova stopped replying and a Katy Adam appeared seemingly to be based in the UK with a UK number. But soon she stopped replying, and when I tried to call her with the number she gave, the calls just got cut off (yes they did ring a few times before being cut dead). Lesley, if you are reading this, glad to know that you have engaged the UK European Consumer Centre on your case and I would like to do the same - please advise. I am just not going to take this lying down! Thanks.
I wish I had done a little research before I purchased from here. They had a discontinued perfume that I was looking for so I made the purchase. It was for a KENZO perfume. The next day I received an email asking for ANOTHER credit card payment. When I looked for the website again it was gone! I immediately disputed the charge with my bank and I am currently waiting for the money back to my account.
UPDATE:3 weeks later I received the package in the mail today from Perfumes Ltd. 692 Str. no 10, 1618 Sofia, Bulgaria. Inside a flimsy jiffy pak envelope was a FAKE bottle of Chanel Mademoiselle NOT the Kenzo perfume that I had ordered. However this is what I expected based on all the reviews that I read unfortunately AFTER I had already made the purchase. I took a picture next to a real bottle of Chanel Madeoiselle that I already own. Since I already disputed the charge and got my money back, I am tossing this fake piece of garbage. How do we get these losers off the internet??
I ordered some of my Chanel Allure 100ml EDP when it arrived it was a complete fake, the bottle was not genuine , it smelt odd and the colour was too dark. I managed to ring them and expressed my disappointment and requested a refund, they said if I returned it they would give a full refund. Well, guess what . . . no refund, no reply to my e-mails, what an absolute con . . these people should be struck off the website for fraud. So leave well alone !!
I ordered 100ml D&G Light Blue at a cost of £40, a bargain or so I thought! It is 100% fake and despite emailing the company I have had no reply. I wish that I had read reviews first! Do not waste your money!
Angelica found this review useful
As most of genuine buyers here, I was sent the wrong fragrance first, then offered to keep it and get a 15gbp voucher and was shocked and embarrassed when the person for whom I have purchased the item opened the package. It is 100% fake and anyone who tells otherwise is either their employee trying to bring their rating up or is too blind to tell the difference between a fake and genuine fragrance (no offence). My advice, spend few extra punds/euros and send the fake item you have received to the manufacturer (gucci, escada, kenzo or other). Give them the transaction details and the website where you have purchased the item. Once they get good few samples, someone will take care of those fraudsters, trust me. If you paid with Credit Card and did not receive the item, call your bank and request a chargeback. I have attached a photo of so called genuine top of range fragrance (straight from the box).
I ordered some Chanel Chance over the internet from this company. Stupidly I did not check them out before doing so as the site looked quite professional and it appeared in a few search engines along with other reputable companies I have used before.
After taking a look around and seeing that some people had reported receiving counterfeit goods I contacted Scentmall using their "Contact Us" section on their webpage asking to cancel the order and not take my money.
They took my money and I received an e mail telling me as my goods had not yet been dispathed they would give me a refund. That was over a month ago.
I have since chased it several times but not received any response or my money bag.
I have basically been robbed by this company and I would warn anybody who is thinking of dealing with them to think twice.
