SDS were really on the ball, got exactly the items I was looking for at the right prices for my budgets and delivered without a hitch.
Product excellent and delivery service first class. The one negative is the fitting instructions. Typeface was too small and some of the key fitting dimensions were almost impossible to read.
I was only ordering a couple of small items but was contacted quickly to inform me that there was a waiting time on one of the items. A very polite gent had an alternative selected for me and a refund for the difference all sorted out within two minutes. Expensive, but superb quality product. Delivery was quick, although let down by a lack of attention to the detail of the address (the post code covered two different no. 7s). Could have been a disaster, but luckily I spotted it. SDS were exemplary in rectifying their mistake.

Bought some door furniture online. Had some problems trying to input a voucher code and they were really helpful when I phoned them and sorted it all out for me. Then someone else called back to make sure all was ok as they'd seen the orders I'd aborted when messing about with the voucher code, and confirmed all was in stock and ready for delivery. Delivery firm texted that evening and again next morning with an hour slot, and turned up when they said. Goods all as per website and everything came well-packed and in perfect condition. Really impressed with customer service and the smooth next day delivery made for a real hassle-free experience. Would recommend and will use again when the need arises.
SDS have a great choice of stock, and when you order, it is with you next day almost. Beats travelling around the local wholesalers, who probably will not have what you want anyhow -, and will have to place it on order! This the way to go!
Ordered some locks from SDS on a monday, website says next day delivery so assumed all was well, by wednesday i spoke to an adviser and was told they werent in stock. then was told they would definately be with me thursday, they never turned up. by friday after delaying the job had to send a van to collect these from london bearing in mind were in leicester. bad communication from the start! website should have rolling stock levels to give people a chance to look elsewhere if the product is out of stock. F1 Manufacturing probably wont be using sds again which is a shame as the prices are reasonable and the products are very good. it got sorted in the end but at a an extra cost via a courier.
Product very good and delivery was excellent via the timed carrier. The only thing stopping me from giving five stars was my name was missing from the address label. As this was delivered to my work address nobody knew who it was for.
SDS have supplied me with a wide range of good quality kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings. Their prices are competitive and the delivery time has always been outstandingly fast. I would recommend SDS to anyone and everyone!
the beech drawer was excellent quality however delivery to Shetland £12.50 is excessive as I have had larger items delivered for less by royal mail.
Ordered the item online and a couple of days later got a phone call to say that the courier could not find my address and was driving up and down my road to find it.
I gave them my contact number to find m. There are only three houses on the road and from either direction, it’s the 2nd house on the road.
I was expecting a delivery in the afternoon and so arranged for a colleague to sign for the item. Despite the courier driving past various times they didn’t call me or the office or drop off the parcel. I emailed Jacqueline to state that it hadn’t been delivered and that I had been inconvenienced by this.
The next afternoon, around 3pm I received an email from her stating that it would be delivered that afternoon. I waited in for it to be delivered and needless to say, nothing arrived and no phone calls. I contacted her again that evening to say I’d been inconvenienced a 2nd time.
At this point I have lost around £180 in jobs that I have rescheduled or client has cancelled as a direct result of being misguided by SDS.
The next afternoon I had a phone call from her to say the courier is on his way. I eventually managed to speak to the courier directly and gave him clear instructions on how to get to the property and met him there. He even stated that he had been messed around by SDS as well.
For the one item I bought (which I now no longer have any use for) I am at a loss of just over £200 in jobs lost and time taken waiting for this company to get their act together.
there has been no understanding or apology from them, just a cold tone on the phone. They need to know the importance of their customers and recognise that there is a huge market out there to choose from. A customer buying one small item one week may well be putting through a £300 order the following week. We are all important!
Company has an extremely comprehensive range.Would have no hesitation in recommending or using again for my own requirements.
The two brass hit and miss vents are exactly as described on the website and are of good quality. I ordered them in that afternoon of one day and they arrived, well-packaged, the next morning. Great service. Thank you.
