The only reason this isn't 4 stars is that there were initial problems with my order - but the manager did everything he could to rectify it, sent replacement items and gave suitable discount on one cosmetically damaged item.. I'd recommend them despite the small problems as their customer service was top-notch!
Seapets were fine to deal with. The issue is with the delivery comp. £12 surcharge for delivering was a bit harsh. Just as well I wasn't paying delivery on top of that. They also just left the parcel at my front door exposed to the elements and n full view of passers by when I specifically asked for the parcel to be delivered to my neighbour if there was no answer. All in all I'd mabey use Seapets again for a big order but delivery charges and the incompetence of the courier will way in my mind
Item was still not received after 4 weeks so I requested to cancel the order with a full refund. I was advised the refund would be processed within 24 hours but to allow 10 working days - over 10 working days later and no refund has been received.
I ordered my new tank, Fluval Roma 125 with the cabinet on Monday afternoon. Almost instantly got an email to confirm my order, and the day after received an email telling me it has been dispatched! Got a phone call from the courier on Wednesday to arrange a delivery time, although they told me anytime from 9-5... Then on Thursday it got delivered at about 10.30am, the driver waited while I checked the tank, everything was fine and all my free stuff was there! Will be using seapets again for all my aquarium needs! I must admit though, reading the reviews almost put me off, but I'm glad I went with it as they were the cheapest online!! Good customer service for me too!
having used Seapets several times before, in fact I bought all my initial aquarium set-up from them. I knew exactly where to go when I needed something in a hurry. Setting up a 2nd aquarium so that I could do work on my main one. I needed a cheap, simple system of providing CO2 to the plants I needed to keep and grow on to re-use. I ordered the system 60 from them and it arrived fast and well packaged. So simple, that within 10 minutes of receiving the product it was up and running. I will always check out what they have to offer before going anywhere else.
I have been ordering monthly from Seapets for over 12 months for my 4 dogs complete food. The price has always been the most competitive and the order is despatched immediately. Very good service that you can rely on.
I echo what many have said here. An order was accepted for something that wasn't in stock even though the website said it was. No response to emails and the only phone number is a premium rate one, which I was cut off from several times. I was promised delivery on two occasions and told that delivery was definite unless I was advised to the contrary. Nothing - still out of stock apparently when I phoned again. Eventually I accepted a partial order and cancelled the remaining still out of stock items. A refund was promised but over 4 weeks later and after several chasers I still haven't seen it. My first email was responded to but they are ignoring me again now. I found the outstanding product from an alternative supplier where it was cheaper and supplied immediately - I wish I had seen that company (Complete Aquartics) and the respective reviews earlier - I would have avoided Seapets, and I urge everyone else to do the same now. Regarding the money that they owe me, I have raised a chargeback via my bank so should receive this soon. I see that many others have stated that the company were very rude on the phone. In fairness I didn't find this. When I eventually got through without being cut off, the people I spoke to appeared to be very helpful on the phone, it's just a pity that they didn't deliver on any of their promises. UPDATE- many weeks later, I haveheard any more from SeaPets but I did get my money back off them through a charge back via my bank. They should be aware that when their bank reviews the provision of their card services and the amount they get charged for the service, the number of chargebacks doesl have a negative bearing on the banks willingness to carry on providing the service and how much they will charge Seapets for it!
I ordered various dog items on January 30th, received a standard email confirmation of what I ordered. I tried to find the delivery waiting time in the email or their website but there was nothing, so thought it shouldn't take too long to arrive. It has been 11 days so far since I made my order. I contact them via the email address provided to ask what the delivery wait was- no reply. Since then I have sent 3 emails, each with no reply. Fortunately I paid via my PayPal account, so I have now opened a dispute. Hopefully the items arrive in the meantime, but if not then I'm guaranteed to get my money back. I originally ordered from them because I was looking for plastic dog beds and they were the cheapest. I needed the beds before my new hard floor was fitted so that my dogs were comfortable, my floor has now been fitted and my dogs have no beds. I should've just paid a few £ more, so that I actually received them. Seapets so far have been a complete waste of money and time. AVOID!!!
Seapets is a brilliant online pet store, especially for fish and aquatics, but also for your other pets too! I have used Seapets repeatedly for aquarium supplies, fish food and for supplies and food for my dog. The range of product available is very good, and I haven't been able to fault the quality of any that I have received. The delivery charge is very reasonable (though I usually order enough to get free delivery!) and delivery is very quick - usually within 2 days if my items are in stock, sometimes even the next working day!! Also, the customer service department are very friendly and helpful and very happy to help you should you have any queries regarding anything. I would highly recommend Seapets to everyone!!
This company is wholly untrustworthy and seems to be run by a bunch of inept crooks! Despite numerous emails from them to say the refund will be processed in 24 hours. All this for an order which I canceled.
Was going to place an order with Sea Pets for a Terrarium kit and noticed that they were offering half price bulbs when buying a Terrarium. When adding the kit and the bulb to the basket, the price of the bulb wasn't reduced (as per their website).
Upon emailing them, I got a reply saying that the kit was no longer in stock and had been discontinued and removed from their website. This was strange as it was showing in stock and would have allowed me to purchase it from them. After reading reviews on here, this is a common theme that they list out of stock items and allow customers to pay for them.
I spoke to their customer service to see if a kit could be sourced, but was told no, but was told to email them a shopping list of what I was after to see if they could sort out a deal for me.
I emailed them, only to wait for 3 days for a reply after sending multiple chasing emails, even their main sales email address doesn't bother emailing you back !!!!
The response I got was that there was nothing they could do for me, and didn't offer any deal. If I knew I was going to have to wait 3 days for a reply, I would have gone somewhere else straight away to buy the equipment.
Really poor customer services that fail to respond to emails or honor anything, I would avoid this company like the plague in the future, as they aren't customer focused and have a website showing items that are clearly out of stock, but would still allow customers to purchase them. I would consider this fraud, as they are willingly advertising to sell goods they can't honor.
I dread to think what would have happened if I purchased this equipment with regards to getting my money back. I would probably still be waiting.
I recently purchased an Aquael Classic 112 litre aquarium from Seapets and I honestly could not rate them higher. Their service was really high quality, prompt and all correspondence has been very efficient. The product itself arrived in perfect condition and is now set up ready for my goldfish to move in soon.
5/5 for service, product quality - I'll definitely be shopping with Seapets again.
I found Seapets to be the cheapest place to buy dog food for my two labradors. Almost half the price of my local pet shop. The delivery is fast which is great considering it's free if I spend over a certain amount. The website is really easy to use and I would definitely recommend Seapets to anyone. I'll be back next month for my next order!
