I put in a big order with seapets, Was very happy with the price, but several items were not in stock, and was not noted on website. So I had to wait for items to come into stock. I also paid for express delivery and was slightly over 2 weeks before I finally got everything I ordered. Need to work on this to keep customers. However, the customer service agents were very helpfull and polite. I just wish they would say on the website whether items are in stock or not. Really screwed my order up.
Wow. I have to say Ive never experienced poor service like this from any company or firm anywhere in the world. I ordered a marine tube for my aquarium and clicked express delivery, i received the item 5 days later. I opened the parcel only to realise the tube was faulty and didn't work, so i emailed seapets. I was then sent a reply email 2 days later asking me to return to a free-post address, so i took time to do this. A week later i received another dispatch email. 5 days later After missing the 11am delivery i got to work late after waiting for the second delivery attempt only to open the package and realise the bulb tube smashed inside the packaging. let me warn you, dealing with this company has almost become a comical situation. After one month they still havent been able to get a poxy tube to my house in good time and good condition. Laughable. Don't waste your time, pay the bit extra and go to a proper company because what you save in cost you will repay in stress and time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MICKEY MOUSE COMPANY!
They promise a price match guarantee but when you email them saying you have found the exact same product elsewhere cheaper & to match the price they DO NOT reply.
Also being charged £30 for delivery because apparently I live in the highlands when I live in a major city in Scotland! They say it's to cover courier costs but its funny because the company I originally ordered the cheaper aquarium from did not charge.
I also waited 3 months on a product which apparently was "in stock" when it clearly wasn't I had to follow it up continually even though they promised to keep me updated, in the end I got sick of waiting cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Not even an apology was given.
Ordered an aquarium cabinet a week ago. On their website it said in-stock, so i paid for express delivery. 4 days later still no (item dispatched/tracking details email). I emailed them to ask whats going on? Got a reply saying "they are busy and sorry for delay. Item will definatly be dispatched thursday and will recieve an email with tracking details and be with you before 6pm friday." Its friday today so i check my emails-Nothing!! I email them asking why it hasnt been dispatched. 2mins later i get an email saying "dispatched with tracking details" i check tracking details on ukmail website and to my suprise the details are not recognised!!! Another wasted day by a lying company telling me my order will be here!!! Im fuming!!! Stay clear of this lying company that is quick to take your money and offer express delivery but cannot deliver!!!!!! Awfull!!!!!!
I Ordered a Vivarium from seapets, took over a week to be delivered, the emails I receieved from them regarding delivery were cheeky verging on the Insulting, continuously repeating "DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY OF YOUR AQUARIUM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNLESS THE GLASS OR TRIM OF THE AQUARIUM IS DAMAGED OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR A REDELIVERY. ALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS ARE COVERED UNDER YOUR MANUFACTURERS GUARANTEE!!" etc Will Also they state that 24 hours after despatch you can track the order, which wasn't true "Please note your order has NOT been sent on a service that you can track due to the couriers it has been sent out with. This is because the courier calls you to arrange delivery and they do not have tracking facilities." will not Be using these again, just goes to prove you get what you pay for. Apparently customer service is not included in the price
I ordered some pumps for my ponds. Products were advertised as in stock so no probs I went for them. Asked and paid for express delivery... A week later still no items... I'm leaving in Southampton and the company is based in Essex - 2 hours driving door to door... I don't even imagine how long I would have waited if I did not take the express delivery option... With an Express delivery I would have expected a 2-3 working days delivery... but not more than a week. I have received the first pump yesterday... and I'm still waiting for the second one...
I recently ordered some white sand from Seapets and paid for 'express delivery'. I need the item for an art exhibition and thought that a week would be plenty of time.
After not hearing anything or receiving anything I called them 3 days later, they claimed my Paypal payment had not cleared so the goods had not been dispatched. I emailed them the transaction details from PayPal and the promised to call me back that day to get my order out by the end of the day. At 4.50 still nothing so I called them again. Now they had located my payment and were just about to call me...... Of course I'd now missed their dispatch for that day. I had made clear all the way along how important it was I received the item before lunchtime on Wednesday so they agreed to send it on a pre-noon delivery for Wednesday - the day of the exhibition. At 12.30 still nothing so I called again, apparently my item had missed its connecting lorry and therefore hadn't made it to the depot. Not sure if I believe this at all.
I've now spent the last 3 hours travelling to a very helpful pet store on Richmond who managed to find me the closest item they could.
All in all my experience with Fishpets was a complete disaster, they blamed it on PayPal, then their system, then the courier. Based on the review on here I don't believe a word of it and only wish I'd read the reviews on here before placing an order. Avoid like the plague.
They were quick enough to take my money for items which were marked as in stock, but completely failed to deliver. After a week order was still showing as 'new', so I mailed them to ask if there was a problem. They replied saying they didn't have any dog coats in stock, which was nice except for the fact I didn't order any dog coats (or have a dog!). When they located the correct order, they promised it would be with me in 3-5 days. It wasn't. Mailed again, several times, and was ignored so I had to open up a PayPal dispute. A few days later I got a refund and a mail saying they couldn't deliver because they didn't have stock. If that's the case, why advertise it as in stock in the first place? A very shady practice (which I'm consulting with trading standards about) , I would not recommend using this company at all.
I ordered a Thundershirt for my daughter's dog. As far as I was concerned, the order went through normally. I entered all the details, including the payment card, my address and my daughter's address for delivery and I paid for next day delivery. A couple of hours later I noticed an email from the company, saying that my order had not gone through on their system properly and they would not release the order until I provided proof of my id, my daughter's id, my daughter's phone number and a copy of my bank statement!! What?? All to buy a dog's jacket?? I emailed in short order, telling them I had no intention of providing them with my bank details via email and if that's what they wanted they had better cancel the order, at which point they told me they had already taken the money and it would take 7-10 days to refund it! They obviously had no intention of sending the goods by next day delivery anyway, even though I'd paid extra. I shall be giving them a very wide berth from now on.
Having bought two aquariums in the last nine months from sea pets I can only say how impressed I am with the service, spot on delivery.my first tank was a fluval roma with all the bits supplied wonderful, my next one was fluval fresh, wat a lovely aquarium that one is I highly recommend this company alan lambert.
Last year I ordered from Seapets and had one of the worst online shopping experiences yet, I feel that others need to be warned about the risks they may take with this company if they choose to use it which is why I am sharing my experience even though its a year later.
I wanted to buy the Mamble Rat cage from a well trusted company who were sadly out of stock and so I went looking for someone else who would sell it for a good price. I found an identical cage - the Rat and Rodent 100 - with all accessories for just short of £100. It was a good price for the cage!
I excitedly ordered it, the money left my account immediately and I received a confirmation email saying the cage and accessories would be dispatched the following day.
Two weeks later it still hadn't arrived and so I contacted them via email. A few days later I received a reply telling me that unfortunately the cage was 'out of stock' and would not be back until the end of the month, however next to the cage on their website in a big lime green box and bold font were the words "In Stock" - it had been there from the time I made the order two weeks before and was still there despite them apparently being "out of stock".
I emailed them with a screenshot of this demanding to know why they were misleading customers into thinking they had products that they didn't. The reply sent back had no acknowledgement of this but simply said "Your cage will arrive this Friday" which was a contradiction of what they had said earlier as the end of the month was another 2 weeks away, so if the cage wasn't in stock until then how could they send me one for Friday?
Friday came and went, I gave them until Tuesday as I realised the weekend may have slowed postage down. When it still hadn't arrived I emailed them again demanding to know why. They replied by saying the cage was still out of stock and so I sent a long winded email of complaint ending it by demanding my money back. About 4 hours later another reply from them arrived -
"Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund as your order was dispatched this morning, if you wish to cancel you order we can process this and organise for you to return the cage to us within 7 working days at your own expense"
My mind was boggled at this point! So first they are out of stock until the end of the month but said they will send me the cage on Friday, then they are still out of stock the following Tuesday but when I demand a refund they have magically made the cage appear in their warehouse AND dispatched it?!?
Shockingly the cage actually arrived the next morning, unfortunately this wasn't the end of the troubles. Though I had already vowed to never shop with them again it wasn't until the following week that I realised the cage had arrived without half of the accessories! I had been so flummoxed by everything that I didn't notice, I only noticed when a second order of the same cage arrived from the company I had originally wanted to buy it from (by the way during this whole saga the trusted company had got their cages back in stock so I ordered the second one I needed from them and it arrived in 3 days!) I noticed it has many more accessories and wondered if it was just something that company had added so I re-visited the cage on the seapets site, read the description and guess what? Clearly written in the description were the accessories that never arrived including a water bottle, some tubes and various other things.
Despite being furious and upset that I had not been sent what I had paid for I didn't (for whatever reason) end up contacting them about it and I kick myself because I know I should have either been given those accessories or a partial refund to cover them and I wish to this day I had demanded one of those.
People come to me all the time looking for good, cheap pet websites to buy from and I've had people ask if I recommend Seapets and guess what I do? I tell them to stay as far away from them as possible. There are a dozen other companies who can supply what they do for the same price and less, Seapets are more than a hassle. At one point I even believed them to be a scam site because their service was that abysmal.
Despite have a few good reviews please don't risk it, they are mis-leading, money grabbing liars without a care for customer service. They of course have to provide decent service a few times in order for people to keep coming back to them and giving them money but you really don't want to risk being one of the unfortunate ones they chose to not care about do you? Its more likely to happen than you want to think!
Avoid them at whatever cost. Please.

The aquarium arrived within a few days of ordering and was handled with great care which I was pleased with. Seapets provided all the basics I needed to set the tank up at no extra cost, which was brilliant! I received brilliant service in the run up to the delivery both from Seapets and from their couriers. I am incredibly impressed with their service and will definitely buy again from Seapets!
Searched online for the best price and Seapets came up trumps (puppy pet food). After seeing the overall positive feedback on Google decided to go for it and order. I paid for the order on 29th Aug and still haven't received the food. I tried ringing one day but there was no answer. I tried ringing another and was told they would look into it and send me an email within 30 minutes. After not receiving one 2 hours later I rang to be told they wont get the order until Wednesday and "What would I like to do?"

After an incredible amount of research on tanks with a chrome surround. I ordered a 125 litre Fluval Roma tank from Seapets. On their website the picture has a chrome surround. When the tank arrived it was black. I had to use it as my own tank was falling apart. Obviously I never expected a refund as I'd used the product and couldn't send it back. I just wrote to Seapets to make them aware I was unhappy as the product was not sold as seen. All I expected was an apology perhaps a good will gesture nothing more. However, Seapets had the audacity to say it must be my computer monitor. Which is impossible their whole site would have looked wrong and it's an insult to my intelligence. My computer is always correctly calibrated for work. I took a screen grab and printed out it is definitely chrome. I found their excuse was extremely offensive a simple apology would have been fine. Now I would never trust their site that you are buying what you see. They mis sell. They need to take down their current pictures and re photograph their products. I would never buy from this insulting company ever again.
Do not buy from this company! Awful customer service, I have been waiting for 4 weeks for a delivery, not possible to track order online as site says doesn't exist.... If you ring their office (premium rate number) they fob you off with items not in stock but deliveries every week.... All I can assume is that they have financial problems and are low on stock!
Placed an order with Seapets on 15th of July, all the items I ordered where marked as in stock on their website. I emailed them after waiting two weeks asking where is my order, they replied that items are not in stock and I should expect up to four weeks for my order to arrive. I tried to cancel my order but never got a reply. Today is 13th of August and I still have not received my order nor I have been refunded. Would never buy from this company again.
I purchased a Juwell aquarium and cabinet from Seapets online. The price was very competitive and my order was quickly acknowledged and I was kept fully informed of the delivery process which was very quick. I was worried about the aquarium being damaged in transit, but needn't have worried since it was very well packaged and arrived in perfect order. I cannot recommend this company highly enough they are a pleasure to do business with and I would have no hesitation in recommending them and purchasing from them in the future
I ordered 2 x T5 bulbs for my aquarium and paid the extra to have express delivery as my originals blew. 1 week later i emailed to say i had not seen my order and after forking out £40 with express delivery i was not amused as i had then found them for £28 and had them the next day from elsewhere!
They agreed that, when the order landed i could refuse it and they would refund me.
This was now 2 weeks ago.
Ive had no contact from them and i shall be reporting them to trading standards.
I'm £40 light with no bulbs! The company is a joke and will never have my business again

My boyfriend and I made 2 orders for 6 items which we were told on the website were all in stock. We were also told that we would receive our orders within 5 days.
We waited almost 3 weeks without any information on our order so I emailed the company asking about our orders and they said they were waiting for 2 of our items to be delivered to them which they would have on the following monday and they would send out the delivery the next day.
We did receive our first order of two items on the next day but sadly not our other order.
I do not understand why we weren't given both orders at once as one of the items that was out of stock was delivered when the other item was meant to be delivered.
We are still waiting for some items and it has almost been a month.
I would not advise anyone to buy from this company as they do not tell you that their items are out of stock when they are and they take far too long for delivery.
I wish i read the reviews before using Sea Pets.

I had an injured fish (White Cloud Mountain Minnow) who became trapped in the filter and has damaged his fin and unable to defend himself so I ordered the Marina floating 3 in 1 breeding trap to be able to monitor him. I ordered it around 15:30 which is late in day and paid for priority delivery. I wasn’t sure I would be able to have it delivered tomorrow but after speaking to Alison who went really above and beyond to have it dispatched the same day and it did arrive next day.
A huge thanks to Alison and the team at Seapets for proving customer service is still a priority for some companies and you now have a loyal customer for life.
I purchased my Fluval Roma 125 in April and was very pleased with the price, quality of service and speed of delivery.
After my tank was fully up and running I ordered supplementary products on two more occasions, both of which were dealt with promptly and even though one was delayed by a product being out of stock, delivery was quick.
I am very pleased with Seapets and their service and will continue to use them for my aquarium supplies.

This is my 3rd order with Seapets and I have not been disappointed with any aspect of their service. I ordered a Juwel Rekord aquarium and they answered my many E Mails requesting details very promptly and politely. Delivery was excellent and the driver helped me check it over before signing for it. I have since placed 2 further orders for various accessories and both have been hassle free, pleasant experiences. Fast delivery and great prices! I would definitely use Seapets again.
I have ordered some aquactics stuff off there website, which was all listed as in stock.
I ordered a protein skimmer and some marine lights. I went for the priority delivery service as I was in great need of these products. I waited 7 days without delivery or hearing from Seapets when I contact them to enquire where my order was. When I had the nasty surprise that they had not even shipped my order and infact did not even have my item in stock and was waiting to receive this from their supplier.
I was told i would not get my delivery for another further 4-7 days and I am still awaiting delivery.
Not impressed. The person who was dealing with my enquiry on the phone, was not apologetic and did not seem to think it was a problem. When infact was extremely unhappy with the overall experience with Seapets

I placed an order on their website for a microchip scanner, it said that they had 1 left in stock.
Three days later, instead of the parcel arriving, I received an email to say that it was out of stock and they'd send it when they got more, some 2-3 weeks later. As I needed the item urgently I asked for a full refund to be made to the credit card I paid with.
I received an email to confirm that this had been done, but it said to allow 10 days...even though VISA themselves say it should take a maximum of 3!! Well, over 10 days later and still no refund! I've just sent another email, this time suggesting that I'll initiate either a VISA chargeback or a County Court claim for recovery!
My credit card company have confirmed that no refund has been processed and nothing is pending either!!
Needless to say I am awaiting a response and would suggest that others avoid this company unless you want to be let down!

I ordered my products online on 19th April and I received an email the same day confirming my order but with no mention of despatch date. The payment was taken from my account and I eagerly awaited my delivery. After hearing nothing from them by the 25th I emailed them to ask if it had been despatched yet. I did receive an email back saying that it would be despatched the following day and I would receive it within 2-3 days. I again, eagerly awaited my delivery!! On 1st May I emailed them as I had still not received my products. No reply. Today, 2nd May I telephoned them on their premium rate number, it rang for a while, no one answered and it was cut off, Not amused !! I telephoned the number again, a girl answered and told me that they were awaiting my goods to come into them, and it SHOULD BE tomorrow and then it would be sent out to me. Another annoying thing about it all is that all they say is 'sorry' without empathy, just a word to them.
I have demanded my money back. APPAULING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I certainly will never recommend this company or use them again.
Having ordered a product that was stated as usually delivered within 2 days, after five days I emailed to check that my order was ok, but heard nothing so a further two days later I rang to find out what was going on with my order as I hadn't had any email to let me know if there were any delays. When I spoke to the lady on the phone she wasn't really bothered about solving my problem, she just said it isn't our fault, the supplier doesn't know when they are going to dispatch it. Following this she said it could come in the delivery tomorrow or it could come in next weeks. All the time on the website, it still says dispatched in two days. Which we now know is impossible as they don't even know when they are going to be getting it. A week later I call again, still no emails to give me the courtesy of letting me know what is going on, still saying dispatched in 2 days on their site, again they still don't know when the delivery is coming in.
No money off vouchers, no emails to apologise for the situation, just a useless and hollow apology, they may as well be saying we just don't care, we've got your money we'll deal with your order when we get around to it.
As well as all this, the Only contact phone number is a premium rate number so you have to pay for the privilege of tracking down your order.
Don't be drawn in by the lower prices, it cost me extra in 2 weeks extra storage for my fish, calling the premium rate and time out of my work day, so all in all it's not cheaper or easier. I will not be using them again and would advise that you don't either if you want a good service.

I paid extra for priority delivery of a buster collar for my dog. The item had still not been dispatched 5 days later and Seapets just ignored my emails asking what was going on. Asked for a full refund but still haven't received this. BUYER BEWARE.

I've ordered three fish tanks from seapets in the last year and have found them very fast, efficient and professional. Within minutes of ordering one I got a email detailing all my order requirements and within a matter of days I got a phone call from pelletways (courier) arranging a delivery date. The courier company was very friendly and helpful and carried my aquarium into my ground floor flat without a moments hesitation. I have no problem recommending this company.
I have used seapets for a couple of years for my aquarium related purchases, I can always get what I need as there is a good range of products, and well priced compared to other places I can get the same items. Also seapets are on the topcashback website, so I always get some cash back, and I can collect seapets points!
I like that they use Royal Mail for the smaller items as its so much easier for me to retrieve my package when I'm not in for delivery, I hate companies that use couriers who will only deliver when I'm at work, and make me drive miles to collect the package. They always package the items well too.
I've exchanged emails about returning items before, and about my recent large purchase and have found I had good customer service and quick replies.
I've been happy with all the products I have purchased.
The only reason I have knocked one star off the score is because I recently purchased a new aquarium and various accessories, as this was a big package it obviously needed to be sent by courier, which im afraid i believe the company they used were dreadful, I took the day off work to be in to collect the delivery which I'm fine with, however when the driver turns up, he dumped the very large heavy tank on a large wooden pallet on my door step, got me to sign for it, with me thinking they would then help me get the package in and they can take their pallet away, but as soon as I signed the guy literally ran into his van and drove off, leaving me to wonder how the hell I get this tank into my house on my own, I had to leave it outside for a few hours until a mate could come and help, and the pallet is now in my back garden, I'm going to have to hire a van or something to take it down the dump. Not impressed, but as its not seapets that deliver its not really their fault, just a poor choice of courier service on their behalf.
Very happy with my new tank though, and will continue to shop with seapets.

I searched through a lot of websites, to find my first aquarium, and found Seapets to have a large selection and good pricing, I ended up buying the Juwel Rio 240, with them, and it came pretty quick, in perfect condition, with lots of free extras, I would hightly recommend them, to anyone, great service, thanks a lot Seapets!!!
I have had two terrible experiences with Seapets, I should have learned my lesson after the first, but I have learned now and will never order from them again!
The first time I ordered a load of dog food and was waiting over a week for my order to arrive. When I called to see where it was I was told some of the items (dentastix) were out of stock and I may have to wait several weeks until they arrived, so I opted for a refund on those. I wonder how long they would have kept me waiting before they called or emailed to tell me that. Like a fool I tried again, the next time some dog food and a car seat cover. It's been a week and I called today - the car seat cover is not in stock, but if I cancel it then my order will be below the threshold for free delivery so they will have to charge me! Basically they are fining me for their incompetence. I tried to reason with them on the phone and was very polite and kept my cool, but they were very terse. How are they still in business? I'm appalled and will never use this company again - please, please avoid at all costs! Who knows when my order will arrive, wish I'd not given them a second chance. It's such a shame because all they need to do is be polite and reasonable and people would go back, but they must lose so much money by being horrible to people - I just don't understand it.
I make a monthly order of dog food from seapets. They always have what we need in stock and delivery is fast and efficient. Never had need to complain and have been a customer for 7 months. Pricing is very competitive. Will continue to use seapets in the future.
I order my cat food, the Bozita range from Seapeats and I have always found the delivery to be perfectly reasonable (compared with delievery times from other sites). All my cat food has a years validity left (longer than I have stocked in the cupboard). My cats love Bozita as it is about 90% meat and I have found Seapets to be the cheapest stockiest. I have placed 6 orders now with Seapets (spaning 18 months) and I cannot complain about the product received and the delivery times. I will continue to use Seapets for my cat food orders, and I would happyily recommend this website to my friends.
I bought a leopard gecko set-up. Some items where missing from my order and the terrarium had a crack on one of the doors. When I rang I spoke to a very helpful and very professional customer service staff called "Alyson". Sure enough I was promptly sent the missing item and a terrarium replacement. All I can say about my experience with seapets is that, I wish all companies operated in the same way and employed people like "Alyson".
I've been ordering dog food from Seapets for nearly 2 years, and the service is excellent. They recently changed courier and now my order is delivered within 48 hours - I used to have to guess when it would arrive and plan ahead so as not to run out. Free delivery for a minimum spend, and no heaving bags in and out of the car.
