The car was collected and returned promptly. All staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. £24.99 for an MOT was brilliant value. My only reservation was the £78.00 charge for a diagnostic test for an airbag warning light that had remained on. I was told that it wasn't a major issue and that the light had been turned off. Unsure as to whether this was a competitive price. However, I had been fully informed of the situation including the cost prior to the work being done. Overall a really positive, hassle-free experience. Perfect for when you are time poor. I would use them again.
My car was collected, MOT'd, Serviced and returned to me exactly as agreed and as advertised.
The MOT/Service bundle price was good and the company kept in touch with me to advise of any additional costs or work required following a small fail on the MOT (No work was carried out until I gave the OK)
All in all, I don't think you can beat this level of conveniece and from my first experience with Servicing Stop, I'd definitely use them again.
Really easy to get in touch if there are any queries. The garage was courteous when it called to say my car had failed (on something I was expecting) and gave me a clear and concise breakdown of costs, incl VAT and labour, before proceeding.
Collected my car from work as soon as I arrived and had it back to me by the time I requested.
I booked this on a Sunday to have my car serviced on Wednesday. We received a verification email, and relaxed in the comfort that our car will be serviced before we need it.
They called and cancelled Tuesday afternoon and said there was one slot available on the 19th December otherwise it would be in the new year.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF THE DATE YOU WANT YOUR CAR SERVICED ON IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THERE IS A CHANCE THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN AFTER YOU HAVE PLACED THE BOOKING.
Booked an MOT with collection/delivery.
Failed MOT but had free re-test included, just had to pay £18 for collection/delivery.
Can't fault the price I paid.
Costs for repairs were a bit pricey but I had repairs carried out privately then rang them and booked free re-test.
Book a full service car was picked up as stated no conversation brought back on time .no comments dont no what car had done in service still waiting for invoice. Very bad communication .will not be using again also car was taken to a garage 18 miles away ??? Why
Picked up the car at the agreed time Driver who collected the car had no identification
on a couple of hours later I get a call saying i have to pay extra a different type of Oil
Extra for this Extra for that the service price was £205 and ended up costing me £389
and i could have had it done cheaper at a main dealer
Car was not washed or cleaned inside on paper seat covers
All in All very Poor
I would have loved to have used this company every year. It's so convenient and the guys who pick up and drop off your car are polite and courteous. But I became a little concerned when I got the car back. I paid 199 but the paperwork was for 97. The car had not been cleaned - and because of that I could see that the wheels had not been removed to check the brakes, as I paid for. I also know that my AC has low coolant - this should also have been checked according to servicing stop. It clearly wasn't as the coolant is still low. These are obviously minor things, but if those things on my full service were not done, then how do I know what was done? The paperwork showed a tiny subset of the list of checks listed on the servicestop website. So basically I don't know whether my car has really had a full service or not. When I expressed my concern to the company, there was no apology. They basically accused me of being a liar and told me that I have to take my car to the garage and have it checked to prove the previous checks were not carried out. Kinda defeats the whole point of this pickup service doesn't it? First they do it, then the customer has to take it in again to check it was done? And maybe they have a time machine - how else would they know if a past check was done or not? It's been a week and a half and I've still not received the correct paperwork. Don't risk it. Yes it sounds like a great idea. Better to take the car to a garage yourself where you can actually talk direct to the service engineers. With this company who knows what you'll get in a service? They certainly don't.
Just had my car taken for an MOT. I knew it would fail due to some issues with welding that have been highlighted for the past 3 MOT's as advisories. Got a phone call back saying the repairs were around £600. After phoning the garage directly they are going to do the work for a max of £250 - the same price they quoted service stop apparently.
I can't fault the service stop experience and I understand a bit of comission on top
but seriously £350, thats crazy!!!
3 stars for the good MOT prices and the free collection and return, but high premiums for repairs.
Also there is no need to email me 3 times in under an hour asking to pay my MOT costs after I phoned you on a premium number saying I will pay when I leave work.
In my case, the garage that was used was pretty much faultless, and this is the 3rd time I have used this service. If it was not good, I wouldn't keep going back. They were spot on with the telephone calls to ensure someone was in for the car collection and return, and for keeping me appraised of any issues. I for one will continue to make full use of this service
On 7 November 2013 18:45 I had my Porsche BoxsterS ready for collection for the following work to be carried out by yourselves (Interim Service & MOT £128.50) which ended up being £318.56 that included an adjustment to the front lights and a replacement of the Fog Light Switch (anything to boost the cost). Their driver who oversaw the collection and delivery of my vehicle didn't have any identification from your company which I found very unprofessional considering I’m signing over my vehicle to a complete stranger. When your driver handed me the collection receipt, I realised that he also entered the wrong time of pick up and date of the collection.. The collection time written was 7:45 instead of 6:45 which I pointed out. The driver changed my receipt and not the original copy. I clearly pointed out that you (driver) have the original which also must be amended as I would have been liable up to 7:45 if anything was to happen during this time.
I ask the driver if he had ever driven a Porsche and the driver said no. Not helping my confidence especially when I could hear the driver crunching one of the gears.
I spoke to Servicing Now who went through what was required for the MOT to pass and these are listed in my first paragraph. At no point during our several conversations did Servicing Now mention that there was an issue with my clutch. Not from the driver dropping off my vehicle or the garage who carried out the necessary work.
My vehicle was paid in full, signed off for release to be returned on the Saturday 10 November 2013 as agreed. As the nominated garage carried out the necessary tests on my vehicle they've signed off the work completed and this was released for the driver to deliver this on the Saturday (10 November). I received a phone call from the driver late Saturday to say that my vehicle has broken down and recovered back to the garage due to the clutch failure.
My vehicle DID NOT have a clutch issue prior to collection (7 November 2013) so I’m not too sure what your driver has done whilst driving to the drop off point for the interim service and MOT to be carried out. The garage tested the vehicle prior to releasing (tested and passed Clutch Operation), (Road tested) and at which point there has never been any mention of an issue with my clutch communicated by Servicing Stop. The same driver as above returns my vehicle on the Saturday but my vehicle breaks down due to clutch failure.
I received an email from Servicing Now "Whilst we are sympathetic to your experience and the failing within your vehicle we must flag that the Clutch being a friction plate it therefore wears and a Clutch is in no way guaranteed to last the life of the vehicle.
The fact that the vehicle provided no symptoms of Clutch failure prior to said failure does not suggest that the item was not worn and whilst I take on board your comments in respect of the Driver, Servicing Stop cannot corroborate that the Driver caused damage to the Clutch area."
Bear in mind that the car left the garage to be returned and was only driven 5 miles before it needed to be recovered.
They were going to offer me the clutch kit at trade price
Part Cost £416.00
Labour at 9.2 hours £552.00
Total cost £968.00
To cut a long story short.....I wouldn't use these cowboys ever again due to the fact that I sourced the clutch kit (which they used - still under their guarantee parts and labour for £350) which anyone can purchase at that price so how can they charge £416 at trade price. Not only that when they returned the vehicle with the Tow Eye Cap was missing, MOT was incorrect, Car hadn't been washed as promised and the oil level was 3 bars from the top.
What should have been £128 ended up well over £1000.
NEVER AGAIN!!!! WOULD YOU HAND OVER YOUR PRIDE AND JOY TO A MONKEY?

I booked my wife's car for a MOT and was advised the day before that it would be collected by a garage 15 miles away (that is a lot of wasted petrol in my view).
I organised my day around this (drove my wife's car to work, got there for the required time, changed meetings around to be available when they turn up etc) and was called at 10am only to be told 'sorry, the guy is off sick so we cannot do it today'.
What a farce. The whole point of this service is supposed to be convenience. I took it to a local garage and they did it while I waited.

Excellent customer service from the minute I made yhe the enquiry online to receiving confirmation my car had passed its mot.
very reasonable on price and offer s great service
I've had my car serviced with Servicing Stop several times. Each time they have picked up and delivered promptly and completed the necessary work without fuss. I genuinely feel I am never pressured into accepting any additional work. Needing to replace my rear tyres; I was offered exact replacement, plus medium and low cost options. I discussed my typical usage and was advised the lowest cost tyres were most suitable. When can you recall being sold the cheapest option?! I would definitely recommend.
This was the first time I used Servicing stop, and I am absolutely satisfied with the service received. the pickup of car is extremely convenient, and its delivered quickly. The service price is also much more cheaper. Customer service is helpful, and quickly responding. Only had the invoice a bit delayed, however fully satisfied. Thanks a lot.
I was bit worried about my car service and it was done by this company just half of the original price it may cost as BMW service is bit expensive.Everything was excellent from the pick up and delivery of my car.Only bit late for the invoice to arrive by e email@example.com
I used this company due to it's convenience and had my car collected from work. Car passed MOT, payment made and I was advised car would be delivered for 1700. 1700 came and went, no car. Called the helpline at 1730 to be told by a robotic and non-compassionate advisor that the garage had closed for the day and my car is in the locked compound. I work in a completely remote location with no links to public transport and all my colleagues had left for the day. After 2 hours of bouncing calls around and getting no where with the unhelpful agent, I had to make my own arrangements. Long story short, an apology was made but no reimbursement for expensive taxi, missed commitments with the family and cancelation of business meetings. Convenience turned into a complete nightmare. Avoid at all costs!

I have used Servicing Stop twice now, first time to have my car serviced and MOT, and the second time for my pre-winter service. I love the flexibility that I can get from knowing that I will be dealing with an approved garage either near my home or work place. I have a Jeep Commander and only certain garages can work on these vehicles, and these garages can be very expensive if you don't know where to look. Servicing stop connected me with a local garage at local prices.
After my recent service I encountered an additional problem with the vehicle. Craig in Customer Services was an excellent help for me in resolving this problem, finding me a garage closer to home rather than closer to my work place that I had previously used. Additionally, he was very accommodating to the fact that I am heavily pregnant and NEED a vehicle on standby day and night - although I am sure you will get that service even if you are not with child!
Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Great service and great peice of mind!
Excellent service, easy to book, a call before they arrived - between the given times, a call to discuss what work was required, no quibble when I asked to be given a little time to think about it. Work was completed and they even realised my partner's car was booked in for the following day and asked whether they could drop my car off and pick his up at the same time (I was told the work required on mine would take until the following day to complete due to them waiting for the correct parts). Excellent all round and having checked after the event, the work carried out was much cheaper than the quotes I received from other garages. My partners car passed with no problems.
Being a full time (9am-6pm) worker, it is always hard to arrange time off for my service & MOT every year and then trying to sort transport whilst the car is gone but this solves all my problems! I didn't even have to leave my office and received a call to confirm if I wanted them to do the recommended work or not... Fabulous Service!
I was recommended to your company and I can see why, I would recommend to anyone... 10 out of 10 !
Found this Servicing Stop online. I was reluctant at first as I'd never heard of them. I read the reviews and decided to give them a go. I needed convenience, someone who could collect and deliver my car, no hanging around to pay and if course a trustworthy garage. They came up tops. Good value for money, great efficient service and I really like the fact that my car goes to a local independent garage. Would highly recommend. Karen in Reading
I used Servicing Stop twice - once for a full service and another time for an MOT. In both cases, it was cheaper than Kwik Fit and they pick up and return the car back to you. I understand that the service speed and quality also depends on the local garage that actually services the car and I have been very pleased with this, as well. I will certainly use Servicing Stop again next year both for MOT and for the regular servicing of the car.
As a "functional" car man, I didn't know where to start to find a company to carry out the MOT on my car. I had never owned a car until recently, so I didn't even know how much it cost!
After a bit of online research, it became clear that Service Stop would be the most convenient way of handling the MOT, not least because it was so very easy to arrange and appeared to be cracking value.
I admit to some apprehension beforehand - my experience of some auto companies is not all that favourable - but the whole process, from start to finish, was as smooth as you like. Booking confirmed within about five minutes of going on their website, email confirmation in five more, car collected on time, phone call to confirm it had passed and small recommendations, returned on time. Perfect.
I will be recommending Service Stop to everyone who works in an office - it saves all the hassle of going to the garage, getting back to work, getting back to the garage etc. Thank you to everyone involved!
I felt a little apprehensive about using a new company for my MOT but the company reviews were great together with the price, meant I went for it! So glad I did would definitely use again for an MOT or service. You delivered what you said you would deliver, Great Stuff.
I was a bit unsure about this when I booked my MOT, it all seemed a bit too good to be true - car collected & returned same day, great price, no hassle - but I went for it anyway after doing a bit more research on the company. As it turned out, the day came and I got a courtesy call at 8am to let me know the garage would be collecting the car shortly, my car was duly collected just after 9 and the next call was in less than 2 hours to let me know that the MOT was passed! Really simple to pay online and then the car was dropped off within a couple of hours after that. In summary, brilliant service throughout, no hassle at all and great price. I would definitely use Servicing Stop again for an MOT.
I booked an MOT on the Saturday, the car was picked up at 9:30am on Tuesday and delivered back to me a few hours later, other than two brief phone calls I everything happened automatically. In my opinion the quality, ease and pricing of this service is second to none. I will be using the service for all future MOTs!
I arranged my MOT online a couple of weeks before the due date and I received a call and email confirmation within about half an hour. MOT day arrived and someone came to my home and took the car away at about 9am and said it would be returned between 5pm and 6pm. I got a call in the afternoon to say it had sailed through its MOT (3 year old Astra) and that I had an email link which I needed to pay the £24 and then the car would be delivered back to me, which it was within the time agreed. I have never had such a hassle free MOT and no advisories or any sort of pressure. Excellent company that I will use next year for my combined Service and MOT.
I found that I was getting phone calls from 3 different people during the day and I was confused as to who I was speaking to. Then I was subjected to high pressure sales tactics trying to sell me goods and services which I did not need, at very imaginative prices.
First I was told that my tyres were illegal because around the outer edge of two tyres the tread was less than 1.5mm deep. I knew they were worn at the edge, but I also knew that the majority of the tread, within the 75% of the width measured from the centre of the tyre was well in excess of 1.5mm. I had just had my tyres checked at a tyre supplier garage and they said they will need renewing in the near future but were OK for a while yet. The legal requirements for tread depth are that the tread must be a minimum of 1.5mm across 75% of the tread width so the garage was lying when they told me they would fail the MOT because the outer edge (only) was less than 1.5mm. I hate being lied to.
The garage told me that when the tyres are changed the tracking must be checked which they wanted £45 for, PLUS VAT. That is another lie; the outer treads of front tyres wear more than the inner edges because of the extra scuffing load put on the outer edges when turning sharp corners. I had within the last year had the tracking carried out and I have not hit a kerb or pot hole or had any track rod ends wear so this was another lie. I hate being lied to and I hate being told that something I can have checked free of charge will cost me £54. I was told that they would fail the MOT test on the tyres if I did not have them changed so I agreed to pay their costs of 45% MORE than I can have the work done locally for. The tyres they fitted are of an unknown make: I can get unknown makes for a great deal less than they are charging. I hate this.
I was told that the front brake pads were worn below the legal limit. This is strange because there were no brake warning lights showing on the dashboard. As the pads have wear sensors I am left to wonder if the sensors are faulty or the garage is once again lying to me. The garage did not return any worn parts to me. I think I must have been charged what I consider to be an excessive amount for this, because of the total that I was required to pay before I could have the car back. However I have no way of knowing because SERVICINGSTOP REFUSED TO TELL ME WHAT I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR. I despise this and will publicise the fact as far and wide as I am able to.
The manufacturer’s servicing book with a schedule of work required at each service was left on the passenger seat. It clearly says that the brake fluid should be changed at 4 years or 48000 miles, but apparently the garage did not consult the manufacturer’s servicing schedule. They told me that it needs doing because it is 3 years old with 23,000 miles on the clock and it would cost £45 plus VAT. The fluid costs approximately £8 and I think that charging £46 labour for a 15 minute job is excessive. In fact the fluid was two years old and they could have checked the moisture content of it as my local Ford main dealer does, and seen that it did not need changing.
The windscreen washer bottle was not replenished. I added over a pint of fluid when the car was returned to me. One screen washer jet was blocked and two others partly blocked. No attempt has been made to unblock them so I am left to do it myself.
Lastly in spite of my protests when I was called to say the car was ready Servicingstop refused to tell me what work had been done and what I was being charged for. They said I must pay £381.10, but would not say why. I presume that they dream up a number ranging from £350 to who knows what and that is how they price their jobs. Apparently they will send an invoice listing what was done 3 days after I have paid and the car returned. I am a gas central heating engineer. If I come to a house and fix the boiler and ask for £381 but I am not going to tell the customer what it is for, would they pay me? Of course they wouldn’t. I cannot believe that Servicingstop think this is a reasonable way to run a business. I hate to think what they are doing to other innocent customers who know little about cars.
They get one star purely because -10 stars is not an option.
I was very pleased with this company, reliable friendly service would recommend to anyone will be using them again in the future competitive rates and was very pleased. They phoned me after only having the car for one hour and said my car had passed the MOT apart from the indicator bulb which was the wrong colour but they used their common sense and just changed it there and then. My MOT only cost £31.80 I was absolutely thrilled as I had been expecting a lot more
An excellent service not only with cost and simplicity - but also with the thoroughness of the operation. the car was picked up as said and on time, followed by a detailed discussion around the garage findings, all work required performed same day - car returned - perfect and at the time specified
Courteous seven day a week service and excellent follow up - what can i say - i now use these guys for my personal cars not just fleet as i used to do when employed in national roles
Organised service and friendly, but unhappy with the price after doing further research. For headlight re alignment and bulb replacement cost £64 quid including MOT. In reply to this they offered me a £20 refund which I accepted
As usual I had left my MOT to the last minute and found myself with a full diary!
One enquiry to Servicing Stop and arrangements were in place.
Car collected at 8:15, phone call at 10:00 to say it needed a bulb for the MOT test, total cost £40.40 - perfect.
I booked my MOT with this company after finding them on Google.
They have been absolutely fantastic. I asked that they collect my car from work after 8am and be back by 2pm. They collected the car about one minute after 8 and had it back to me well before 2.
I received a call when the MOT was complete to tell me it had passed and then received an e-mail to arrange payment.
The whole process was simple and very efficient and I would certainly recommend this company to anyone.
It's also a very good price for an MOT at £24.
I am usually very organised and in advance when it comes to my cars Mot. Not this time have had a lot going on in my life this last few weeks and suddenly remembered Mot due next day . Went into panic mode phoning round every local garage/mot centre to get my car booked in in to be greeted with sorry luv cant fit you in should of tried earlier!!!!! or we can send you a reminder next time its due so that you dont forget .Im usually very sceptical about things advertised on the internet and if it sounds too good to be true it very often is £24 for an Mot with free delivery and collection Nah dont believe it but with no other options i booked it in on line and less than 30 mins later a very helpful gent called me to confirm my appointment for the next day collection between 8 - 10am and a confirmation email with all the details. I was still worried kept thinking what if its a scam what if they take my car and dont return it. No need to worry at all got a call from the collection driver at 8.50am to say he was on his way and would be there within 30 mins true to his word he arrived 9.15am took my car left his outside my house and said he would call me later to let me know if it had passed recieved a call at 12.42pm to say it had passed but required two bulbs at a cost of £9.60 total cost of mot and bulbs £33.60 which i paid over the phone. Arrived home from work that evening to find my car back outside my house keys and Mot cert through the door what more can i say except i will definately be using them again absolutly brilliant. Thanks guys.
