We had taken the trouble to send them a set of directions to our house, as it is on a new development and SatNavs take you somewhere else when you type in the postcode .
We were telephoned at 0715 - yes, we were both asleep; we are retired, so why not? - by their driver who wanted to tell us that he would be here in half an hour. That was very kind of him. An hour later he phoned to say that he was lost as he had not been given the directions we sent.
To their credit, Shedstore admitted that the intructions had been forwarded to their delivery company, who simply ignored them.
The shed (when it was finally delivered by two men who couldn't look me in the eye when I spoke to them) was appalling quality. The panels had warped and the roofing felt had melted at the end of the roll where it had clearly been left out in the sun. We have put it together, but doubt if it will last more than a year.
Another experience with a companyis that they can't be bothered to print out directions when we send them and hand them to their drivers - we then end up (as we did this morning ) with late, lost and bad tempered delivery men.
Don't buy from them - pay a bit more and get a decent shed!
DO NOT BUY FROM SHED STORE! They are shocking! Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced from any company. They delivered the wrong shed, then took over 2 months to sort it out and offered absolutely nothing as a sweetener or to retain the custom even of a Primary School. It took them several weeks and many phone calls to even collect the incorrect shed blaming the manufacturer who were also equally incompetant. (Shed store do not actually make any sheds they are just an admin service to buy from other companies - they are not experts at all!) They then took another month to give us the refund, requiring again many phone calls to the incompetant individuals in their customer service team. They promised return calls and action but nothing was forthcoming for weeks upon weeks. They are seriously bad news and can not be relied upon to do the job right. The quality of the shed they delivered incorrectly which was of a lesser quality than the one we'd ordered was like tissue paper (an overlap 8x6 shed) so I certainly would not recommend spending any money with them at all - ever! They wouldn't even give me the name of the managing director to write to.
POOR QUALITY, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I paid 509 pounds on 10'4 x 10'1 (3.15x3.07m) Windsor Overlap Modular Workshop. I went on holiday and after getting back, I decided to assemble the rubbish. I didnt have a good feeling about the quality, but just thought I would lay the floor out to just check if it could support a motorbike. WRONG! I felt the floor flex under my own weight. It is so flimsy. So I am after returning it. The advert says its a solid floor, which it isnt, and nothing in the advert says its made of chipboard! I see on the government website that if the goods are not fit for purpose and not as described then they should offer a refund. Does anyone have any other suggestions before I claim? Oh and the walls are bowing, and Im worried that the roof is going to be sagging in a year or two.
Had I paid the advertised pre sale price of £300 I would have been livid.
As it is, I paid £200, and am still disappointed.
I can only assume that the advertised pressure treatment. Did not include anything to stop moisture, or anything to preserve the woodwork. Within the days between delivery and erection, of the shed. (7 days) The side panel had warped so badly it needed rebuilding, and strengthening.
The door doesn't fit properly, the panels are weak and flimsy. 2 panels fell out of the front, due to no being nailed in place.
The inadequate flooring material, flexes even after strengthening struts have been screwed in place.
To be fair, after spending an extra £50 on timber, and an entire weekend sorting it out. I've a shed I'm happy enough with. (bar the floor) Which, I'll sort out when I've another weekend free.
Overall, you get what you pay for, and for an extra £100 I could have bought a quality product from the local garden centre.

I ordered the arbour about 2/3 weeks ago & then read the reviews after I'd made the order, thought the worst & decided I'd made a big mistake. However, last week I got a phone call & delivery was arranged for yesterday 28th July- so it was fingers crossed! The arbour was delivered as promised at 4.30pm & the chap happily took it round into the back garden for me saving my husband the job. We put the arbour up today & it looks really lovely. Ordered a shed from this company arranged delivery day. Called by them first thing to inform us of a delay in delivery, rearranged for our next day off. Shed arrived at 9.30am delivery driver was great, helped us carry it all. The shed was built with only minor hiccups, quality as expected. Very happy with the results, does exactly what it says on the tin.....
Absolutely appalling. Arbour was delivered without screws, nails and instructions and when I inspected the supposedly 'new' item, it looked like it had been a display model and dismantled before being delivered to me. There was mould on some bits, pieces broken off, ridiculously poor build quality - screws half in, nails protruding, lattice broken - it really was a joke. I have never seen anything like it.
AVOID THESE JOKERS LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I had a 7x 5 overlap apex shed delivered was on time and the delivery guy was most helpful, but the panels were not of the best finish and the front panel was badly aligned so that the door does not fit properly, The panels do not feel very sturdy,
I ordered a shed from Shedstore which was delivered very promptly in a couple of days.
However, when we went to assemble it, the instructions and fixings were missing, the back was made of chipboard and one of the side panels was badly bowed. It was collected from us to be returned on the 15th June, it is now the 8th July and I've had no refund despite promises it would be done this week.
They don't reply to emails, and despite making promises on the phone they don't fulfill them.
Haven't had such apalling service and lack of communication for a long time.
I ordered a storage box from Shedstore and though I knew the delivery could be 10 working days, I did expect it sooner (such is the beauty and speed of internet shopping) so checked a few reviews last week. I also felt like Rose and prepared myself for never getting my order. Then I got a phone message from Shedstore advising of delivery date and courier name with an assurance of an email with the consignment number. Sure enough the email came and I was able to check the progress of my delivery. It arrived this afternoon and I have just put it up (all by myself!) within about 5 minutes. I am absolutely delighted with their service, and felt it only right to acknowledge this for other potential customers of Shedstore when so many others have not been happy. I'd have given them 5 stars but for the anxiety of worrying I wouldn't get my order. Hopefully more positive reviews will ensure others don't feel so concerned when buying from Shedstore. Thank you.
I was really put off reading all the negative reviews about this company and wondered about cancelling my order but they were brilliant. My sentry box shed was much better quality than from diy stores, was delivered first thing on my chosen day and they called the day before to confirm delivery and the shed was delivered to my garden by a very polite driver. I'd recommend them and would buy from them again.
After ordering our shed on 26 April.......we are still waiting after numerous calls and e mails for our shed. We finally got a delivery date to which i took a day off work only to be told by telephone that the van had been in an accident and they could not deliver. SICK AND TIRED OF THEIR LIES..........AVOID THIS FIRM AT ALL COSTS.......How is this company still allowed to trade
I ordered my 8 x 6 shed which was far cheaper than anything similar on the internet and also better quality. It arrived within stipulated time-frame but unfortunately when the builder came to erect it we had not allowed sufficient space for walk by so I asked about return. Now this is where Shedstores excelled, They agreed a return; no mention of costs and it was picked up some weeks later. Then 3 weeks later I had my refund to account. This is what I call good customer service. The accounts and sales people were courteous and my subsequent purchase will arrive next week (a smaller shed). I am so impressed with this company.
I ordered a fence in April 2011 and the order was lost. My emails were only replied to generically, not one apology. Finally, the order was confirmed for delivery 6 WEEKS after the initial order. Partner took two days off work and called the day before to confirm that the delivery day stood as normal. All confirmed, and said they would call to confirm the exact time between 7 and 9 am the following morning. We called at 9.30 to be told that the order had been 'accidentally' erased from the system. Called the supplier, emailed the store and no answers given for the delay or the orders. A generic delivery text was then sent to me a week later for the order to be redelivered another week later. Partner finally spoke to them and they offered £10 off, but we never heard from them again. It was appalling, absolutely disgraceful customer service. The suppliers that I spoke to said that the long delivery time was due to Easter being their busiest time. I pointed out that usually companies took that into their calculations. NEVER AGAIN, NEVER! Go elsewhere and pay more; I wish I had.
Incomplete on delivery no windows,not enough felt ,had to re nail panels due to poor workmanship.roof sheets thin nails go all the way through so when in the shed you can see all the nails.flimsy floor not worth the money . custumer services are very poor .. to anyone thinking of buying from this store pay more and go elsewhere .
I have never experienced such poor customer service and poor quaility products, very poor value for money. So poor I would stay away at all costs. Customer service lie to you and try to pass you on to the manufactuers who try to pass you back to shedstore. I really want to take this further does anyone know what I can do?
This company should be avoided at all costs. What a shame I did not see this review site before I ordered my shed. I placed the order on the 10th May, only 1 part of it arrived! I have called, e mailed and got very frustrated. The girl in the office was rude and the customer care is nigh on non existent. Ihave been told conflicting stories. I also believe that they pretend to be someone else in the office to avoid the frustrated customer.I have been told by Mercia that my shed is coming on Monday. Let's hope so as I have been told that I will not get a refund until 30 days after they pick up part 1 of the shed! If I could give a minus star then I would. As far as I am concerned, this is theft!!
Ordered my childs play house a month before his birthday, rang and checked it "was in stock".... was informed it would be with me within 10 days.
Lets just say that after 42 phone calls, I have now had to request my money back via my credit card as they not only didnt send it, they confirmed that the cancelled payment should be returned within 48 hours, but have never returned my money and promised me over and over and over to ring me back...

Ordered 6/4/11, paid upfront for fencing, delivery time given as 7 working days (not guaranteed). Phoned 15/4/11 when is delivery, didn't know - phone back before 5pm - no phone call back. Phoned again 19/4/11, oh dear we'll get back to you today - no phone call phoned again - still not heard from delivery contractor, given their number to phone. Phoned them order had not been processed but gave delivery date. got back to Shedstore who were surprised I got through to their contractor - cancelled order. Phoned today asking were is refund, service received appalling, told could not refund until supplier confirms cancellation. Told cancellation e-mail had been sent (19/4/11), never received - told cancellation e-mail sent to supplier (19/4/11), surprise, surprise phoned supplier told no cancellation had been received by e-mail!!!!! Told have to wait up to 21 working days to get money back. Will never use Shedstore/Fencestore ever again.

I bought a shed from this company in the summer, in the winter i noticed it was leaking soaking wet and covered in mould, after numerous emails and one phone call i have reported them to consumer direct, they are blaming me for the damage even after i got techinical advice form ici.They are saying i should have complained within 7 days. TERRIBLE USELESS PRODUCT AND VERY SHODDY COMPANY. STEER CLEAR, WISH I HAD.
Customer service and delivery where outstanding. No problems speaking to customer service and excellent email communication. We didn't pay any extra, just took standard delivery, and both items arrived exactly as specified. The 6x3 pent sheds were pretty flimsy, but given the price, we got what we expected. Shedstore.co.uk appear to work hard to provide fair, cheap products, affordable to the masses. We would definitely use them again.
I purchased a summer house from Shedstore at the end of July 2010 - I contacted them immediately to say that i had concerns about the roof pitch as the wood bowed and initially i found their customer service to be very good up until the point that i found the water lying on the roof and subsequently leaking Sept 2010 - eventually after weeks of emails and phone calls (mostly about the delivery/collection charges amounting to £110, which they insisted I should pay) they agreed in early December to collect the product - it was picked up early December and again after endless emails which they started to ignore - I eventually started to ring them on a daily basis and received my refund on the 7th February - Overall very disappointed with Shedstore
I purchased an 8' x 9' yard master shed from these horrible people, over a month ago. They were very quick and efficient at taking my money but not so quick at getting it delivered. I was sent a letter telling me which size to make my base and that the delivery would be 14 days from the date on the letter. After the delivery time had passed i contacted them, to which they told me i would receive the product the next week. I waited..... Still no shed! At this point i found the trust pilot website which revealed waht i suspected, that they are a half arsed company who had no intention of even sending the shed. I contacted them once more and confronted them about the trust pilot web site, to which they replied "There is an on going dispute with that website" I immediatly cancelled the order, but shock horror i can't get my money back! The same story as a few other reviews on this site, they say 30 days untill a refund is issued! I am still currently fighting for my money back and have ordered a shed else where (Which was delivered in 5 days!!!) Please don't go near this company as they will take your money and run everytime. Horrible, nasty, crooked people!!!!!!

I ordered my Yardstore shed on line. OK, delivery was a day or 2 later than expected but I received a phone call advising me of delivery the day before it arrived. The shed was delivered within the agreed time frame and my wife and I built and located the shed in about 8 hours. The shed seems to be good quality and exceeds what I expected for what we paid. I certainly would use Shedstore again. Maybe my expectations are not as high as other peoples?
Not the best experience, a slight delay to delivery of one week followed by a change to the subsequent arranged date. Only another couple of days delay though and once delivered very happy with the new workshop 12x8 supplied by forest garden. Some excuse about delivery vehicle problems and confusion between members of staff on the customer service line. I didn't read the many poor reviews until after placing my order so I guess I'm happy overall or lucky?
Ordered a simple shed in mid december. The call centre staff took the payment almost before i gave delivery address, etc...
Was told it would be delivered in approx 7 days and i would hear from the manufacturers. I got a call from the manufacturers a week later saying they wouldnt be delivering before the new year because they close the factory and that shed store had been advised.
I called the 2nd week of Jan and was advised by shed store that they would get a delivery date and call back. They didnt call back and i chased - only to be told they werent sure when or if it would be delivered.
I said it was unacceptable and wanted my money back immediately.
They said it would take upto 30 days for the money to be refunded. I continuely chased and was told that shed store had recieved the money back from the manufacturers but that they were waiting for a manager to authorise the payment. This authorisation took another 2 days to be given before being advised a payment has been made.
A dreadful company - DO NOT USE!!!!!! Pay more and get what you want, not a load of crap and no product.
BASE & Assessories
I was given a date for delivery, it didn't turn up, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and finally fifth time lucky. Forest Garden were however very helpful but chose a famous cowboy delivery firm that had to rebrand acouple of time but still can't provide a timely service. The base didn't do what it said on the packet and have returned it for a refund which after 3 weeks I still waiting for the refund from ShedStore.

Finally arrived, upon assembling the shed I was very dissapointed with the joinery, poor quality timber and ill fitting assesscories. However, spent a further £100 re-enforcing the shed and rectifiying the joints with 90 degree angles which didn't really exsist in the majority of the panels, the lock provided was oddly enough to work but you had to put the key in upside down and turn to lock it in order to open it...lmao but it is something temporary and had a lot of fun patching up the knot holes which I sure were previously used a glory and peek holes by ShedStore staff.
All in all not entirely happy, I stressed that to them when the called me to do a customer satisfaction survey. I will advise all that read this is to listen to all the other negetive comments/reviews made about this company and avoid them.
Have some fun and do some DIY and build a shed yourself....simply google 'How to build a shed' and you will be surprised how many websites show how to build a shed.
My husband ordered a flat pack shed but was working away when it was delivered. I was 36 weeks pregnant and asked the delivery man to put the shed in the back garden he wouldn't take it further than my living room. Sadly for us, the shed had obviously been stored outside and I ended up with a squirrel in my house that came from the packaging. At the time we thought that it was a rat and had to pay someone to catch it. This was all very stressful during a time when I should have been resting. I emailed the company to let them know what had happened and they haven't even acknoweldged my email.
Bought a 8x6 overlap shed from Shedstore, cost £250. I was contacted promptly to arrange delivery and they delivered as promised; the delivery firm were excellent.
The shed took 5-6 hours to build and it went together as described in the instructions; really happy with the finished product worth the money would recommend using shedstore.
Absolutely awful company. They shouldn't be in business. In short, they take your money at the time of the order. Implicit from their website is that delivery will be within 2 weeks. 7 weeks later, nothing. No apology, no explanation. Just arrogance from their customer services team. If you then ask to cancel the order, they say they will take a month to process with no guarantees. You've been warned: shop elsewhere.
Shedstore is a rip off. Inferior wood used to build the playhouse, to say how much you pay for them you expect a better finished wood. The courier company that is used is second rate. I was told that it had been dispatched to them a least a week before the times that I had to ring the company and the courier company a few times after the 15 day delivery time (the time it was supposed to be delivered). Then when we got it delivered eventually (don't be in any hurry to get it), it was arranged for a time so that we could direct them round to where we wanted it putting, so they came earlier and left it on the front right near the road, got one of the neighbours to sign for it and left it there for anyone could pick it up. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. Instructions were not even for the playhouse that we got, and not good at all. I WISHED I HAD READ THIS PAGE, I WOULD HAVE GONE ELSEWHERE.
For the sake of your sanity do not use Shedstore.

It's impossible to get through to customer services, they do not communicate with you re delivery, and their installation team are non English speaking.
The installation of my shed was poor, so much so I wrote a letter to the Managing Director of the company, some 6 weeks later I am still waiting on a response.
Shedstore simply don't care, taking your money is their only driver.
A complete joke of a company
I ordered a Dura shed early May. Still no sign of it. They take your money upfront and when you try and contact them you're in a queue for 30 minutes. They pass the buck on to their supplier, who passes the blame on to the manufacturer. They refuse to tell you who the manufacturer is so you have no direct point of contact. In the meantime, I have all the contents of our old shed waiting in the dining room or outside getting weathered. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Like other reviewers state - avoid this company at all costs.
