NEVER AGAIN UPFRONT PAYMENT NO COMMS NO COLLECTION NO REFUND !

I accepted a quote via shiply.com who I had used three times previously with success to collect a portico from Newcastle and deliver to Plymouth. I paid the £32 deposit to shiply and the courier demanded the remaining £130 upfront.. how very stupid of me ! no communication no collection and NO REFUND of my deposit from shiply.... only a promise of a credit it I re advertised the collection.. as if I would !! AVOID AVOID AVOID... TERRIBLE COMPANY COMPLETE RIP OFF... for smaller items use parcel2go.com who put their customers first !

J'ai été très satisfaite de la prestation que j'ai pu avoir grâce à vous avec un transporteur sérieux.
Les évaluations permettent de s'engager quand le transporteur est très bien évalué.
Il est juste dommage, que je n'ai reçu aucune réponse de votre part sur les courriels que je vous avais envoyé avant d'accepter le devis.
Cependant, je reste satisfaite.

IF THE COURIER DOES NOT SHOW UP YOUR DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE

I booked a courier through shiply for a collection from Spain to be done whilst I was there for a week. When the job is accepted you pay a 10% deposit which it seems is for the courier. Although it states there are no fees, It is in fact a booking fee for shiply and the courier never sees it.
You think that by paying a deposit there is more of a guarantee that the courier will show up and that if they don't then you should be able to get your money back. Shiply state they are acting as a middle man and don't give refunds of the booking fee but you can have a credit to be used within 6 months.
Worse still, because its tucked away in the terms & conditions the excuse is that they are only providing a service rather than goods which means Paypal won't refund it either.
I would advise anyone looking for transport services to think twice before using this website and check the forums and chatrooms with regards to this subject.

Smooth experience with no problems

We hooked up with a great team of removal men through Shiply who gave us a really good price for our move. Although the Shiply website is a bit clunky and the user interface not the best, it does what it is designed to do and we were very happy with our experience. We would not hesitate to recommend Shiply.
