Sérieux

1ère expérience de recherche de transport partagé avec plein de question en tête et de doutes. Si j'ai besoin d'un autre transport je n'hésiterai pas à utiliser ce site sérieux. Je ne peux faire que de la bonne publicité de ce site comme du transporteur.

They rip you off and expect you to use them again

I found out the hard way that they don't do refunds even if the courier they took commission on is nonexistent that even shiply cant connect i was stupid enough to use them twice and will not be doing it a third time I'm in the process of going through paypal and mastercard trying to get my money back.. use P2GO if you need a firm that puts customers first ..

DO NOT USE SHIPLY

I booked a courier through Shiply to deliver packages from Devon to London on a certain day last week. After I accepted the quote the courier wouldn't discuss details until I had paid all monies up front, but delivery was urgent and imminent so I agreed. When I hadn't heard from him re collection the eve before delivery day I called his mobile. Turns out he was still in Scotland and wasn't able to do the job. To be fair courier did repay his fee promptly. However when I then registered the failed delivery with Shiply I was informed that, whatever happens, they never refund their deposit. Since they take the fee for 'Shiply Shipment' you would imagine a shipment has to take place in order to keep deposit. Note cancellation info is well down list in T&C's.
I then found they have a system which made it impossible for me to leave neutral or negative feedback for the courier. They sent an email telling me to leave feedback, but saying if you don't do it within 24 hours they will leave 'generic positive' feedback themselves. Ridiculously short time scale. However when I went to leave neutral feedback - well he had refunded money - it didn't allow anything but positive feedback until further time had elapsed. I allowed the time to elapse and went back to leave my neutral feedback ... to my amazement I couldn't leave feedback as Shiply had done it for me. It said

"Very helpful indeed. Good communication. Recommended.". Completely false feedback made under my name next to my delivery.

I checked their feedback reminder email and noticed it gave an option to cancel their generic positive feedback:

"We realise that your delivery might not have been carried out yet, if so you can cancel the automatic feedback by clicking here".

But guess what ... when you click on cancel button it goes to Shiply website and says:

"Cancellation is unsuccessful. It has been more than 24 hours since the feedback reminder was sent to you so automatic feedback has been left for this shipment"

In my experience Shiply are an extremely disreputable company and I don't believe you should place any confidence in the feedback for the couriers - which is all you have to go on. Then when your delivery fails you lose your deposit as well. I will never ever use or recommend them and wherever there is a forum I will post on it to warn people. I cannot believe that retaining deposits and creating false feedback can be legal. AVOID SHIPLY AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE AN APPALLING COMPANY.

Bad experience, lost all my money and my goods but shiply could not help me.

Hi, I have used Shiply in the past and have had excellent service from both them and the connected courier.

However, just prior to Christmas I encountered a bad deal, which has left me out of pocket. I had advertised an EBAY purchase via Shiply and had paid the required deposit as usual. I received a number of quotes, all too high, and then a few similar cheaper quotes.Being mean, I accepted one of those lower quotes. The Transport provider wanted his payment made up front, and I made this via Paypal, as I thought that this would be the safest method.
I was quite flexible with both the collection and delivery dates. I contacted the Transporter who said that he would collect the item on a Friday. But it was not picked up due to transport problems. I should have become aware at this point, but I was very trusting and gave him a few more days. He did say that it would be collected on the following Monday, which it was not, but it was collected in the middle of the week.
He then said that he was waiting for a few more jobs, 'Down my way' and would deliver it then. However, He was unable to fix his vehicle at that time, in October. I then regularly sent numerous e mails, and these were answered each time with a reply along the lines of 'still working on van', waiting for parts', etc. I asked him whether his Insurance covered items not being delivered, and he said that as my item was actually at his premises, it was not covered.. He was still trying to fix his transport, and finally, in January he said that as he could not find a replacement engine, that Breakdown had put him out of business. I then asked for the address, at which my item was being kept, and he gave this to me, and said that I could now arrange for another Courier to collect it from him. But, he could not even give a partial refund. NOW, he will not respond to any of his e mails, and his phone is not answered,
I immediately contacted Shiply, who offered just a refund of my Deposit, which would be held on account, and used on any subsequent delivery. They do not provide any Insurance coverage for such instances.
The long shot is, my item is now further away from me, than from where it was originally collected from. I cannot get even a partial refund from the original courier. He cannot fulfill his agreement of collection/delivery. All new quotes are approx twice the price of the initial accepted quote. I cannot afford to be out of pocket,. But then I could probably purchase a similar item, A MOBILITY RAMP,, closer to home, with a lower delivery price, with this new total being less than a re-delivery of the original ramp. .
I know that I have rambled on, but I would like to put other users in the picture, hoping that they do not experience similar failings.

Considerate Cot Carrier

First time I have used this service and it worked extremely well with the help of the carrier. I would use the service and same courier again. He was very helpful working around family schedules.

Very useful service!!

I found the shiply site by accident a couple years ago, whilst googling for a courier...since then I've used it every time I win something on eBay and need it delivered! Great how you can entwr the ebay item number & it uploads tge setails!!Wonderful idea!!

A fantastic service and very easy to use.

Very easy to see all the quotes and the customer feedback. Contact with Rob at TR Recovery was excellent and I received updates on the arrangements, confirmation of collection and a great service. Would definitely recommend.

Never again, big let down and twice!!

Arranged for a collection and delivery, first they didn't turn up, second time they didn't turn up, this really made our customer loose patience as 2 days lost onsite waiting for it to arrive and to top it off Shiply keeps the deposit and issues you a credit against future deliveries, which is great as We don't ever want to use the service again. We will be disputing this as it must be against consumer rights, my advice DON'T BOTHER!!

Taking commission for themselves was the only thing shiply got right

After they were recommended for the type of uplift and delivery I needed I decided to give them a go.
Posted a add and got a few very expensive quotes right away a bit later a another one came in and I decided to go with that before you can book the Shipley courier you have to pay Shipley’s commission after they have your money you are given contact details to get it booked in.. That’s when my problems started the emails and phone numbers provided by Shipley went unanswered and when i contacted Shipley they said they would they came back later to say that they could not contact them either and would issue a refund ..While this was going on and to speed thing up and being a bit stupid I re-advertised and picked another courier after i paid Shipley more commission I contacted him and was told if i paid before 20.00hr they would up lift the next day. Paid his fees and got an email back saying he had contacted my customer and it was all arranged and deliver to me was two days later nothing arrived emailed my client and no one had contact them or up lifted the printer tried phoning and emailing Shipley’s courier with no answer or refund calls ..Again i went back to Shipley and they said they would try again they had no response and said that they do a refund ..
it was then with two credits outstanding from them that they pointed out in there small print nr7 I think that they don’t give you your money back you can only use it on their site for up to six months after two bad experiences I don’t think I’m going to use them or their approved sub-contractor again.. I’m in the proses of trying to get my money back vie PayPal on the grounds that they can’t take commission on a service that wasn’t provided and that I’m unlikely to use them in the future.

Excellent service

Had many boxes to be delivered to address 320 miles away. Put request on Shiply and had 5 quotes within short space of time. Quotes varied as to whether it would be only package or one of several collection/deliveries. Shiply prices are now all inclusive which is better than before. Responses were quick and selecting and contacting courier easy. Delivery completed without problem. Would use again.
