I've bought several pairs of Waldlaufer shoes from Shoes International. All have been at a good price, packaged well and delivered very quickly. Will definitely buy from this company again. Also if you need to wear full orthotics as I do, Waldlaufer shoes are really good as they have removable insoles and are deeper than most brands.
I ordered a pair of shoes that are so hard to find, I've had so many compliments on my old pair, but they were beginning to look worse for the wear. Thankfully they were able to find my shoes and I now have a beautiful new pair of my favorite shoes! Thank you!
As I said after ordering a pair of slippers for an elderly gentleman in a residential home, so obviously he cant get out and about to try before buying, I found it not only very expensive but also very inconvenient to send the parcel back through the post - I didnt know that they were not going to be a suitable fit so it was not a pleasant shopping experience and would hesitate to use the company again I am afraid. The returns cost more that a 1/4 of the whole cost of the slippers.

I was initially disappointed because in early summer I ordered Mephisto sandals in the colour I particularly wanted and was only informed at a later point that they were out of stock and wouldn't be available until late September, i.e. too late to be of use in summer 2013. However I was glad I persevered with the order thinking at least I'll have them ready for next year. Subsequent communication with Shoes International was well handled by the company and the sandals arrived as expected.
I live in the US but could not find the eccos I wanted in the States, so contacted Shoes Intl to see if they could ship to the US. Ordering process was easy and order was on way in no time. They kept me posted on every step. The US Post Office attempted delivery, then could not find the package (my regular postman was on vacation) and they were very understanding, offering to reship at no additional cost. Fortunately, my postman returned, found the package and made the delivery.
Thank you for making my order so trouble free. The exchange I had to make went without a hitch, and I loved the personal note. Diolch yn fawr iawn - for those who do not speak the language of heaven, that means Thank you very much.
SHOES INTERNATIONAL DEBITED MY ACCOUNT [ £159.99 ] ON 17TH SEPTEMBER AS PAYMENT FOR A PAIR OF BOOTS I ORDERED FROM THEM ONLINE. IT IS NOW 11TH OCTOBER AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PURCHASE, DESPITE SEVERAL EMAILS SENT TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. THE REPLIES I RECEIVED WERE ALL CONTADICTORY LEAVING ME CONFUSED AND NOT PROMISING ANY ARRIVAL DATE. TODAY, AFTER SENDING YET ANOTHER EMAIL TO THEM, I WAS INFORMED THAT MY BOOTS WERE DELIVERED TWO WEEKS AGO AND, AS I WAS NOT AT HOME, ARE BEING RETURNED TO SHOES INTERNATIONAL.
NO-ONE CONTACTED ME ABOUT THEIR DELIVERY, I WAS NOT TOLD WHO THE COURIER WAS AND NO ATTEMPTED DELIVERY MESSAGE WAS LEFT AT MY HOME. ON REQUESTING A REFUND THEY TELL ME THAT I CAN ONLY HAVE MY REFUND CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT WHEN THE BOOTS ARE RECEIVED BACK AT THEIR HUB. ALTOGETHER AN EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. I HAVE LOST £159.99 AND AM LEFT WONDERING JUST HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR SOME UNKNOWN CARRIER TO RETURN MY ORDER. PRESUMABLY THEY HAVE BEEN TRAVELLING FOR OVER TWO WEEKS NOW.
YET ANOTHER ONLINE COMPANY WHO DOES NOT COME UP WITH THEIR PROMISES BUT IS VERY KEEN TO ACCESS ONE'S BANK ACCOUNT LEAVING THEIR CUSTOMER OUT OF POCKET AND WITH NO PRODUCT. I INTEND TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION
Further response to excuses made by the owner of this company....
.I don't think it is a 'good will gesture ' to return a customer's money, when the product they paid for weeks earlier has not been received. It is the law. It astounds me that you have not even apologised for the great inconvenience you have caused me or my wasted time. Your responses have all been a litany of excuses. In order that you can improve your service to customers in the future, I suggest that you train your staff correctly and offer REAL good will gestures to your customers when your services go awry, as suggested in my email to you earlier today. It is THEM who suffer. I do not think an offer of a 10% discount on my future purchases, as a further 'good will gesture' accounts for much either, as I am hardly going to gamble my money or time again with your company again.
It seems incredible to me that you run an international online business and have no idea who your carriers are! That this is 'out of your control'. Beware other European customers!
I have always found Shoes International an exceptional company to deal with. My last purchase arrived very quickly and well packed and although the shoes were way too small for me (my fault for getting continental sizing wrong) - Shoes International refunded my order within two days of me posting them back. Together with correspondence keeping me informed of the tracking process. The staff at Shoes International are always very friendly and helpful and it is always a pleasure to deal with them.
I must tell you a story! 8 and a half years ago I got a pair of Dr Marten 14 hole, twin zip, vintage red leather boots. From camden, £70, and they were my first boots I bought when I moved to London. I have worn them nearly every day since June 2005, they've been to deserts, festivals, cities, spain, america, ireland, EVERYWHERE :) I love them sooooooo much.
Last week I wondered why my feet were wet, noticed a crack in the sole (Soul?), and when I bent it, you can actually see inside the boot! :( I did actually cry quite a bit.
The DM store website had my boots for £140 (unaffordable, due to me being out of work a year ago my finances are very tight as I try and recover with my new job) then they sold out. I've been watching all the usual places sell out of this boot, or watch the prices go way high. I thought the last size 5's were on ebay at £110. After a very blue weekend I sat in front of google for over an hour. Your site was on perhaps the 30th or 40th search page!
£65 in the sale! The exact boot! My red! UK based! (cos i'm a little ocd about ordering from home, not abroad) I honestly thought I'd never see these again.
I cried again when they arrived this morning, in mint condition, perfect, beautifully packaged, smelling of heaven, with a lovely note from a lady called Lisa. Please give her a mighty hug from me.
