Having been looking for a pair of Challenge Grifo clincher tyres for a while, Sigma Sport had them in stock and at a fair price. I was surprised by their easy to use website and swiftness of delivery. And the tyres are great!

I am very happy with the item I bought, which is a pair of Gore cycling overshoes. The product was keenly priced and it was delivered quickly. When purchasing anything else in future, I am likely to check the Sigmasport website first.
Only based on one experience, but my Assos bib shorts arrived with a security tag attached. Clearly stock just picked from the shop floor but with limited checking. I emailed and the answer was to go and find a shop that could take the tag off, making sure I brought proof of purchase. Not sure what else they could do apart from sending me a returns label. However, the point of buying on-line is that you don't have to visit a shop..... bibshort still in its box as I don't know where to take it, haven't got the time and suspect there are numerous different types of tags so its all going to be a bit of a nightmare... all a bit of a nuisance which I could do without when spending 100 quid on a pair of cycling shorts. Will use more established and dedicated on-line shops such as wiggle in future who know how the business and operation model works.
Specialized Shop - Customer service and the staff were great when ordering the frame, not a problem went away happy, had a call the next day to say the frame was ready for collection. I arrange to collect the following day to the call only to find when I arrive that someone from the workshop has decided it was ok to take the headset cap and some of the cable guides from my frame, this is a £2,800 frame and they decided it was ok to do so, not on, it's a shame cause of the total experience, that'll be the one bit I'll always remember.
after commuting for a year, i booked my bike in for a much needed silver service at £80. i though i'd upgrade the brakes & grips at the same time.
to cut a long story short - i revisited the shop a few times before deciding not to go back.
visit 1: arrived for the service at 9am and left the bike. had a phone call to say the brakes hadn't arrived. disappointed, i returned to the shop after work and to see they'd fitted the wrong grips (old ones tossed) - i couldn't reach the brake lever or change gear. an interesting ride home. (i'd paid for the grips already). i mentioned already that these we're probably going to be returned.
visit 2: back to the shop again the next morning. the grips were worse than useless, dangerous even. the mechanic agreed, but the old grips were long gone. so he fitted temporary grips until the correct ones that he'd order, arrived. returning to the shop to be told they couldn't actually get grips for my nexus shifter (despite ordering them, they're not an after-sales item, so don't exist). mechanic told me that i'd be refunded at the final payment stage. in the meantime i had to splash out £30 on ergons (v good btw) from amazon. the new service date was 2 weeks time.
visit 3: i returned the 2 weeks later for the new brakes & service. later that day, another phone call to me to say say the callipers don't fit my bike and couldn't be fitted. at all. nothing could be.
i collected the bike. serviced at least, with a new chain. i'd asked them to upgrade the brake pads to koolstop salmon brake pads - which i'd ordered in advance. looking at the brakes, the same housing had been used, but shimano pads had been fitted. i spoke to them to clarify. didn't really get an explanation except for trying to save me a few quid on fitting new housing. no mention of the koolstops.
i was so miffed at the whole experience that i didn't notice the refund for the grips hadn't been done. yet another phone call to specialized to sort that out.
perhaps this was just bad luck. maybe in a year when my next service is due, things will be different. not sure i'll be back to find out though. overall a very disappointing experience from such a big name. should probably have gone independent.

I just got a Zipp disc wheel from these guys at a great price. Very quick delivery and no quibble return of other parts on the same order. Their staff were really knowledgeable when I called them before ordering online. This was my first order with them but will certainly not be my last. A*

My wife and I are in our 50s and bought our first road bikes at Sigma in Kingston. Ben was brilliantly helpful. And both bikes are COMFORTABLE. This is the shop to go to if you are serious about getting a good road bike.
Everywas great. The customer service was impeccable and the sales was flexible when it came to swapping chainrings. However, when I got the bike home a rode it properly it seemed the gears were not indexed properly and I had chain rub on the front deraillier. I fixed this myself, but will mention it to the shop in a few weeks when it has its first service. If your spending 2.5k you expect everything to be right. In general very good though and I'm sure sigma would of corrected any probs.
Leon looked after me, told me all about the bike i was interested in - Izalco Pro 3 - and measured me up for it. He was very helpful and not some condescending know it all which sometimes happens in boutique high end cycle shops. very impressed. i paid a deposit for the bike and look forward to collecting it
After phoning up for some advice on wetsuits and getting a very helpful and pleasant member of staff on the phone I ordered a wetsuit online on a Thursday morning. It arrived on Saturday. Unfortunately it was too big for me so I returned it by collect+ on Tuesday evening and 2 days later got a message saying I would get a full refund. Delivery and return were both free and super speedy.
I then decided that I really do need to try a wetsuit on before buying so called their shop and they have put a range aside for me to try on at the weekend and said there will be someone to help me with the fit. Everyone I have spoken to has been very helpful and I look forward to getting a similar service in the shop.
Their prices seem very competitive too.
I tried to get the 3T road bars I wanted all over the place, nobody had them in stock. Sigma did plus the stem at a discount. Ordered and received 2 days later by UPS. I could see the box on a shelf in the delivery van, not thrown in the back like other delivery company vans. First class service, best price, very quick.
It took over a month for my Bar Fly bracket to arrive,it wasn't out of stock when I ordered it, once it was paid for I then received an email from Sigma to say it was out of stock and they were awaiting a delivery from the supplier,I ordered it a month before my cycling holiday in Spain, I never received it in time for the holiday,I got it a few days after I arrived home, not happy t b h .
Sigma has grown dramatically over the years, but what strikes me as important, the guys working there are enthusiasts, they genuinely care about the sport and the people who come in such as me asking daft questions. I had a major bike issue recently and with no money or ID, was stuck. I went into Sigma and they replaced my tire on trust. That is what you call service.
It is no coincidence this company is prospering.
I love Wiggle but Sigma keep their prices keen plus you get the free advice and support which Wiggle cannot offer.

For me buying an S-Works Sl4 only happens occasionally, so where to buy is important. I bought my first Tarmac pro 9 years ago from the old Sigma shop, I was given good advice from Lee and enjoyed cycling ever since. They did a good job.
Three week ago I went back to the new Sigma emporium, looking for an upgrade, knew what I wanted, and was helped by Elliott who went out of his way to make my dream bike perfect. Every calculation was made on the Turbo, he sourced the frame from afar, and put it all together at a competitive price.
Now I have the bike, a big smile, and I have to say well done. Sigma did a great job ,I know i can go back to get good advice,would recommend them to anyone.
The service was good... but the bike is amazing: cheaper than the average Sigma line but briliant... check out the Globe Daily 1 if you want a really good value, stylish, simple bikes for runarounds in town!
SIgma Sport offer some great products at reasonable prices. However, it was the speed of delivery that amazed me. Despite ordering in the afternoon, my bento box arrived the next day. And that's with free delivery! Thank you sigma sport.

I ordered a rain jacket from Sigma Sport and it arrived within 48 hours. Once I had decided it was too small I sent it back and within 24 hours I had a reply to say they'd received it and would send out a larger size a.s.a.p. I then got an email saying my size was out of stock till next year and could they supply me with a replacement. The item I suggested was £4-00 more but they wavered the costs and the delivery arrived the next day
