I was absolutely desperate for a washer dryer, as my old one could not be replaced under warranty, as the manufacturer had gone into administration, John Lewis had a timescale of three weeks in which they could install and Currys promised a delivery within four days, then damaged the last machine I wanted in transit. You couldn't make it up. I too am very sceptical these days but decided to take a punt on Scott and am so pleased I did. From order to installation was three days (!), he was punctual, tidy, polite and a dream to do business with. Highly recommend, as he was much cheaper and quicker than the rest and he does everything, from the admin, to the installation to the driving, like a superman. He spent an hour and a half diligently installing my integrated washer dryer, which is probably why very few companies offer this service. Please support this brilliant bloke; you won't be disappointed :-)
Great service. I had an e-mail from Scott, after payment went through to say when he would deliver. Then a second e-mail to confirm delivery time. Great bloke, helpful and very efficient. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
I recently bought a washing machine from these guys - I dealt with gentleman called Scott.
I initially bombarded Scott with numerous emails regarding stock levels and their ability to deliver to a 2nd floor flat to which he responded to all promptly.
Then I asked Scott if he was able to do an install and takeaway service for the older washing machine. He duly could at a very reasonable rate.
I have to say I would use these guys again and I am thoroughly pleased with the product and the overall experience.
They are a small company and compared to some of my experiences with the bigger white good retailers I would whole heartedly recommend these guys.
Honestly I cannot fault this company. The Fridge I ordered wasn't in stock so I was asked if I wanted to wait 3 weeks.
I said yes, and Scott then managed to get the fridge in 10 days! He emailed me to check a delivery date, Scott then phoned me on the delivery day and delivered when he said he would.
Great service, and nice people to deal with.
Scott was great at communicating via e-mail after I needed a quick turnaround with a washing machine. My original choice could be delivered in 3 days, which is really good. However, there was a good choice machine that was able to be delivered and installed within 24hours. Good prices too! Thanks. Very pleased with the service I received.
I am so down about my experience with Simply Appliances that I hardly want to spend anymore effort writing feedback, but I must warn others. I made an order through the Simply Appliances website for a washer dryer in January costing £500.00. Two weeks later I heard nothing so I emailed asking about delivery time and I get an email back saying the washer dryer wasn't in stock but I could have a different one. I didn't want the other one so I asked for a refund.
3 MONTHS LATER STILL NO REFUND CHASED SO MUCH. TERRY IS EITHER A VERY PATIENT MAN OR THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM AT SIMPLY APPLIANCES.
Each time I call its always "oh scott is dealing with it" but he never does. I would avoid this company at all costs. "Maybe" you would have a better experience buying from them if you know they have the goods in stock otherwise stay well clear. Dreadful experience from Scott, Terry and Simply Appliances. They still have £500.00 of my money and I don't have any after having bought another washing machine elsewhere. Makes me sick. I will pursue this with the police and trading standards.
I placed an order for a Beko Washer, yes I was worried about all the poor reviews on here. No need to worry, machine turned up by a very pleasant chap on time and with a smile. We need to support these small family businesses trying to make a living. Have some trust people!

We ordered a hob on 08.03.13, and chased delivery, spoke to Terry and was always promised call backs from his son Scott, which never happened! After many more phone calls was told the hob had been discontiued and we would get a refund. That was on 05.04.13. Still no refund so emailed an left voicemails ( no one was answering the phone) Finally spoke to Terry today and was advised Scott would look into this and get back to me. No call back so called and finally spoke to Scott who told me that he was having trouble with World Pay and had not received anymore since 15th March!! So could not refund, even though we paid him on 08.03.13. He said it was not his fault and could not advise when we would get refund. He also said I am not running away with your money as its only £300!! I explained we could not afford another hob until we had our money back, and £300 was alot of money to me! This company is a complete joke and I have no idea how it is still trading.
After a few days they phoned me to say they didn't have my washing machine and asked "if I would like another model instead?" I left a voice mail, as they didn't answer the phone, confirming I would not like the alternative and thanks but I would go elsewhere for the model I wanted. A refund did not take place. Numerous phone calls did not get answered. Numerous emails later were either ignored or the response was rude or inappropriate.
I would recommend going elsewhere as any issues to be resolved will not be met with satisfactory customer service.
Ordered a washing machine on Sunday, was told it would be delivered Tuesday, heard nothing. tried to call, finally got through on Friday was told i would have to wait until next Tuesday. Cancelled order. Was called back half hour later to be told that it might be possible to have w/machine delivered in next hour if i was in . Luckily i was (it's actually a present for my parents house). W/machine was delivered half hour later. Works fine. I was very worried about this company, especially after reading some of the unhappy reviews after my machine didn't appear. Full credit to them for sorting it out so promptly.
A couple of false starts but I have just had my Hotpoint washing machine delivered by Scott who was very helpful - hauling it up 2 flights of stairs at 8pm on a Friday. I think communications between vendor and customer could be much improved - especially when you read some of the other reviews on here as it can make you jump to very wrong conclusions - but in person, Scott was very friendly and helpful.
Wish I'd googled "simply appliances complaints" before ordering a Bosch fridge freezer, throughh a hyperlink on the Which? website.
They took my money Dec 8th, never contacted me, eventually got through to Terry Dec 21st, was told they didn't have the fridge freezer and couldn't say if or when they would, so I cancelled and asked for a full refund. Almost 2 months has passed and I'm still nearly £400 out of pocket and each time I call, Terry just says he needs to speak to the infamous Scott. I'm now seeking a refund through my bank.
I'm usually too lazy to rant on the internet about this sort of stuff, but if I can spare one person the stress these cowboys have put me through, its worth it.
I'm almost as disappointed with Which? for still listing them as a supplier, dispite their non-existant service!
This company takes your money for appliances it cannot supply and then does not refund the money. When you ring up you invariably get an answerphone, and they do not ring you back. I had to buy my appliance elsewhere and have been waiting almost 6 weeks for a refund . I have had to try and get my money back through my credit card company. In the meantime I am out of pocket, and being a pensioner this has caused me financial difficulties.

i ordered an oven that the website said they had in stock. However just before the delivery date i was contacted to say they didnt have the oven. I asked them for a price match on another oven, but they wouldnt agree.
They promised me a refund that day but i had to wait over a week and make many phone calls and emails to get it. After reading others reviews, i think myself very lucky i got my refund - but it took perserverance!!
I would never order from them again.
I ordered a Beko under counter freezer online for a fantastic price. I rang to find out when the product would be delivered. Left a message on answerphone and was phoned back within 5 minutes to tell me that the product would be delivered the following Thursday (5 days time). I received an email during that time to say that the model I had ordered was no longer available but another very similar Beko model with the same spec, colour, size etc was and that they would deliver that on Thursday if I was happy. I was. I emailed to ask that I be phoned to let me know what time the product would be delivered so I could empty the old freezer and get it ready to collect. I was phoned when the delivery was an hour away so I could do that. The man who delivered was extremely helpful. Took away my old freezer for 15 quid (10 quid less than the council would do it for). He also unwrapped the freezer, took away all the cardboard and packaging, installed it in the place I wanted it and adjusted the height and distance from the back wall for me.
I would definitely use this company again. They are not like other big companies which charge a lot more as I think the people they employ are mostly out delivering products and actually doing the job rather than sitting in an office just answering the phone and sending out instant emails. So, leave a message or send an email and they will respond but not necessarily instantly as they are probably loading up or driving. We, the customers, are benefitting greatly from the way they operate actually because (I assume) that is part of how they manage to keep prices so low.
Ordered a tumble dryer on the 26 November and am still waiting for my refund or money back. First after a week I got a call from Terri saying it is out of stock and they could down grade me to a cheaper model and return the difference. Which I accepted then 4 failed deliverys dates later I said enough and I want a refund so on the 19 December I'm still £254 out of pocket and no tumble dryer.
Keep away this is a dodgy company!!!!
I was a bit apprehensive about ordering a tumble dryer from this company. But after being let down by one of the better known companies i found "Simply Appliances" had the one i wanted at a very good price.
I ordered it on Friday and they were very polite. Went to check if they had one in stock and said they would deliver it on the Monday.( To North Notts). I said i didn't want to give my card details. Terry was very nice and said a cheque or cash would be fine on delivery.
On the Monday i phoned to see if it was still going to be delivered and Terry said he would phone me back to give me an estimated time when he had contacted the driver. Which he did and said it would be late afternoon to early evening.
When 8 p.m arrived and no delivery i had given up. But true to his word he arrived at 8.45 p.m and apologised for being late. He brought the dryer into the bungalow and took all the packing off so i could check it. He said if i had any problems to get in touch.
It works very well and was a very good price to what some companies are charging.
So i would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

We ordered a fridge freezer. After looking at reviews on Which.co.uk we chose a Beko model. Simply Appliances were £70 cheaper than any other retailer!
We ordered with some trepidation as we had never heard of Simply Appliances before. However we should not have been worried. The fridge-freezer arrived in two weeks due to the original model been discontinued, S.A. upgraded us to the newer model for the same price!!
They promised to deliver at 11:30 am on the Tuesday and they arrived to the minute! (after a friendly phone call)
Well what can I say, you call them but do they call back or answer emails ? No but they are very good at taking your money. I would never use them again.
Thank you, Scott, (as i have now found out your name from these reviews, even though there is no refernce to this on your website) for your rude and sarcastic response via e mail. It seems funny that you choose to run your business the way you do and then because you are unable to deliver the goods, you blame everyone else because you are working too hard! It is not the consumers problem that you get up early and work till late, that in my life is called the real world and yet I am able to conduct my life in such a manner that I am able to apologise for my errors. I have noticed from other comments that many people have had to wait for a response and have also received a refund because you can't deliver, and that my negative comment is followed by excellent reviews from other people who quite frankly i don't believe.
Shame on you Scott, not even an apology for me, who at the end of the day only needed a freezer because mine was broken!!!
It's a shame you found the time to respond to a negative review!!!, had you have responded earlier to my original e mails and phone calls shortly after placing the order, then I would be writing a good review instead!!!

I would like to thank the other customer that had the same as me and wrote on my review. I got my new freezer in 48 hrs from another shop and the same price. ( so if anyone who would like to see the email i got from scott having a go at me for being one of his customers then please ask me to email it to you )
I was somewhat concerned when i read the negative comments about this company and it did take me two days to speak to someone.
However, when I did speak to Scott he apologised for not replying sooner and that unfortunately the American Dryer I had ordered was not in stock
He was trying to locate a replacement and assured me that if the supplier couldn't get one he would refund my payment immediately.
The payment was back on my card the following day.

Please DO NOT listen to the negative comments on this site. I ordered my hob from Simply Appliances and then panicked after I read the reviews. I emailed Scott that night and had a phone call back from him the next morning to reassure me that he would not take my money and run.
He did not have the hob in stock, but told me he would have it in the following week. He called me then when it was on it's way. It was considerably cheaper than elsewhere, so I was happy to wait,
It is possible that customers have had to wait for deliveries and instead of getting in touch to find out what is going on have taken to the internet to air their frustrations. These comments cannot then be retracted. I am happy to be contacted personally to be asked about my experience with Simply Appliances - thank you Scott and I will be back in the future for a cooker hood :)
Paid for a washing machine, did not realise it was Cambridge and local counties they deliver to. As im from Newcastle i contacted the company they offerd to deliver in 2 weeks or refund my money. I opted for a refund and the money was credit back to my card. It did take a few phone calls to get in contact, kept getting answer machine, eventualy got through and they were very helpfull.

I am very dissapointed with this company as I ordered a cooker with them 10 days ago and still did not hear any news about my order and money has been taken from my account, I left several messages and sent emails but not received any response, I will appreciate if there are real people who bought products from them and can advise me how to get the product which I fully paid or my money back?
What brilliant service. Got a call back 10 minutes after I left a message regarding my delivery and it was 6.45 in the evening! Explained my freezer was broken so it was quite urgent.

I called Simply Appliances after hours on Saturday to check stock availability for a Beko built in oven. My call was returned almost immediately by Scott who informed me that the appliance I required was in stock, and if I ordered would be delivered today (Monday). I was a little sceptical but true to their word they drove from Cambridgeshire to Bristol to deliver the appliance as agreed. Unlike other suppliers who could not deliver for 3 to 4 weeks, Simply Appliances were also cheaper. I would not hesitate to recommend and use them again. Thank you.
I ordered an AEG double oven which not only was considerably cheaper than elsewhere but was delivered within 2 days of ordering! I emailed to mention that our oven was faulty and that I wondered when delivery would be only to receive a call almost immediately. Delivery was arranged for the same day, the item was fitted and the old appliance removed (for a very reasonable fee). Looking forward to a hot meal this evening....

I ordered my electrolux oven at 5pm yesterday and it arrived today. Not only did Simply Appliances offer this product at the lowest price I could find but they also gave me one of the quickest turnaround times I've come across. Can't ask for better than that!
I bought a Beko DCU 8230 Dryer and paid for it in the 2nd week of Dec, but a week went by and I didn't hear from the company about delivery.When I contacted Scott (owner) on the number given, he was very helpful and extremely polite. He explained that due to the time of the year he has been very busy and since he hasn't been able to communicate with all his prospective buyers and was very apologetic. He said, that due to the high demand of the item, the manufacturer can only deliver these dryers to him in the first week of January. He readily offered a refund if I am not prepared to wait that long. Although, I had my concerns due to reading the adverse comments here by some people, I appreciated the fact that he always answered the phone and was very helpful and decided to take a gamble. I must also mention that this was about £80 cheaper than anywhere else. I got my dryer today as he promissed and I am absolutely delighted with it. Scott, handles everything from orders, telephone calls, deliveries single handedly. This is truly commendable of him and I am so pleased to have been able to give my custom to such a persevering individual. Good service. The company delivered a new oven on the day they said they would, although about 3 hours after the time they had indicated, and installed the appliance, removing the old oven, for a reasonable additional cost. Spoke to Scott throughout the process, and he was very helpful.
Ordered a fridge freezer from these guys. They were very helpful with my queries prior to purchase and then have held onto my item for several weeks whilst building work overran. Delivery was within a couple of days when I was finally ready for it even though I am not in their area. So far all a positive purchase.
I too was a little concerned at the reviews but this company bent over backwards to delivery my tumbledryer to me. they did this within the 10 day timescale and always returned my call when I left a message. they delivered to me even though I was in Gloucestershire.
I was kept informed the whole way though to delivery.
I ordered a Beko washing machine on 1 April through their website, arranged delivery for 12 April, and I'm still waiting. Initally, my phone calls were answered by a man driving a van who claimed calls had been diverted to his mobile. Now the number says "Service no Longer available." Emails are ignored. My credit card company has frozen the payment. You'll do best to avoid this firm.
I would not even give the company 1 star given a choice. I think they have gone bust but are still taking money ? TL no on web site is unobtainable, they do not answer e-mails and 1 Nuffield road is just
where their accountants work out of !!!. I think I have just lost over £300.00 for a dishwasher that has not arrived ? (I was stupid enough to buy on a debit card instead of credit). I have logged company with Cambridgeshire Police and Trading Standards and asked RBS Worldpay
to stop taking money. The reviews on Price Runner were I suspect written by the Company Itself ? I think that buying from this company is a one way ticket to becomming a Victim. If you read this 'Simply Appliances'
prove me wrong and deliver my dishwasher and I'll write you a better review until then I would advise that buyers treat this company like the plague.
Tried to purchase a carpet cleaner that was 'best rated' by Which and the Which web site had this 'joke' of a company as the cheapest for the product. The money was taken in a flash, but absolutely no contact with the company. I've tried e-mails and telephone calls, but have had no response. I would recommend others to avoid this company like the plague. Hopefully the credit card company will re-imburse me.
