Nearly does what it says on the tin

I recently bought a laptop from the simply acer.

The process was easy and simply even with the unexpected problem with your order email. Which they use to check your order and make sure it is genuine.

My only disappointment is the site advertised one delivery company which I have used before and was impressed with their service and information about delivery times so that some one did not have to wait in all day for the delivery.

A different company was used though the order arrived at a reasonable time in full working order. part of the reasons for using simply acer was the delivery company they advertised having gone for the next day delivery.

Overall happy with the service and the quality of the laptop and will consider them in the future.

Cheap cheap cheap!

Bought an lovely Acer laptop with SSD hdd and 10GB ram - looking around online I couldn't find anyone come close to the price they were doing.

Received it and so happy with the purchase!

Atrocious service

Never in my life experienced such bad service or poor attitude. Buy anywhere else and don't trust the reviews - they are very selected and does not give a true picture.

Good website, fast delivery, good quality product (apart from laptop's trackpad), but Customer Service Reps sadly make you feel like you are an annoyance when you speak to them.

Positive:
- good level of detail and good product pictures
- fast delivery
- good product condition (generally)

Negative:
- the laptop's (Acer) trackpad is overly sensitive, keeps clicking on things whilst hover over the screen, nearly deleted important files accidentally (not sure if it is fixable or a hardware problem)
- choice of products could be bigger
- prices quite high, considering the manufacturing price they could sell them much cheaper
- long check-out process
- the Customer Service Reps make you feel very rushed on the phone; they answer the questions butmake you feel like they really cannot bebothered to speak to stupid you (maybe not their fault if they are paid more for short conversations, the management should improve the incentives)
- free delivery (says 5 days) is fast enough (arrived in 2 days), so don't let them fool you into picking the extra fast one as most probably they will use the same delivery service, so it's a waste of money and for them extra profit without even doing anything different

Great products and price though delivery was not as stated

The laptop I bought was great. Although I ordered well before the deadline and paid for next day delivery service it took 2 days to arrive. Whilst this s not Simply Acers fault the service I paid for was not as described.

very good service

ordered a new acer at excellent price - received confirming emails and delivery info to the exact hour - it turned up exactly on time and was up and running thirty minutes later. Exactly as it says on the tin!

First Class service at bargain prices.

It's hard to fault this company. Excellent prices, excellent service, excellent communication.. Placed my order on a Sunday evening on a 3 day delivery and received my netbook on the Tuesday.

Best online price, very speedy delivery

Discovered simply acer through an ad on gumtree. Wouldn't usually click on those sponsored ads but glad I did this time! I got an Acer Aspire S3 which was actually the same price on amazon but from simply acer it came with an extra 20GB SSD on top of the 500GB HDD which is why I chose them over Amazon. Ordered at 10am on a Monday and it arrived 8.30am the next day. Just after ordering I got an email saying there was an issue with the order and to call the number given, turns out the issue was that delivery and payment addresses were different and they just wanted to confirm so after a 2min phone call the issue was resolved - nice security feature!

Excellent Price, troublesome Laptop

I purchased a Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG, Intel® Core™ i7-3517U from this company. My reasons for purchasing was the price for a i7 Ultrabook with 10gb of memory and 20gb SSD - untouchable and unbeatable! The ordering process was simple enough, a few screens to go through if you want optional extras, then select the type of postage (I selected free postage). I received an email confirmation of my order within minutes, followed a few hours later by a 'my order is being processed' email. By the evening I received a tracking number. The laptop was delivered the next day by courier. I wasn't expecting this as I selected free delivery, usually 3-5 working days delivery, so 10 out of 10 for delivery! The laptop was well packaged. Simple to set up (Windows 8 so a learning curve for myself). The laptop build quality is good. It is fast compared to my old i5 HP laptop and IBM Thinkpad. My only problem is the keyboard. As I type this, some of the keys are extremely non-responsive! So much so, that typing this review is an UTTER pain in the backside. The keys A, N and the spacebar and shift keys are the worst! I find myself constantly having to review every word I type, go back, delete, highlight, etc, to correct words. My old IBM Thinkpad may well be coming out of retirement at this rate. I'm not sure if this is the norm for this make of laptop, but checking other reviews some reviewers have noted this problem. I'm hoping that the keyboard will 'bed-in' with use, but I suspect I may well be chasing my money back at some point.....

Simplyacer is simply ace!

I ordered the Acer Aspire XC600 on Friday afternoon and it arrived, safely packed and in fine fettle, on Saturday lunch time. I am very pleased with the service and would have no hesitation in both buying from Simplyacer again and recommending them to others. Whoops! I just did ! (The price was good,too.)

Delivery and service excellent and I am delighted with the Aspire 5750 laptop which I ordered on Sunday afternoon and was delivered on Tuesday.

Excellent Service and Ultrabook

All parts of the process were smooth. Ultrabook is of excellent build quality, no cheap plastic! Arrived in excellent time and packaged well. As an IT Consultant, I would strongly recommend!

Outstanding delivery on 2 laptops.

We ordered two laptops to replace our two duaghter's old ones which were giving trouble with the batteries. Amazing service - they were delivered well within 24 hours. Both girls are really pleased with their new laptops as both studying for uni degrees.

The variety of laptops is amazing. We were after this Aspire v5 for some time with top end hardware but no one seemed to have it. Simply Acer had the model with the max. RAM and hard disk capacity. The prize was unbeatable too for the goodies the laptop came with. Furthermore they delivered it just in 48 hr, and it wasn't express post!

Have been looking for a new laptop for the wife to replace her old tower PC and drag her into the 21st Century! Having researched a bit I decided that an Acer laptop would be ideal for her and so searched for a good supplier, whihc is when i found SimplyAcer.com. The website is great, very informative and easy to compare different models -- and importantly of course the prices are very competitive. Once a model was chosen, ordering was a breeze and was then kept fiully informed of order status including a precise delivery time - within an hour slot, amazingly; and it turned up then as well! In fact delivery was much quicker than the original estimate and also on a free offer at the time -- brilliant service! the product arrived well-packaged and in mint condition...

Excellent all round!

ordering straightforward, confirmation emails clear. Delivery dates/times given and faster than expected. Product great and at a great price. Now my main PC seems dated. Too much 'bloatware' for my liking but overall pleasure at product overrides this.

Superb service and market-leading price

Birthday prezzie for my son who is keen on gaming. Managed to sell his old laptop for £210 via sell-your-laptop and purchased a new high spec Ultra M3-581TG for at least £300 cheaper than any other site. I was advised delivery time and they arrived within 3 minutes of the time agreed - the delivery man apologised for being late....

Easy to order, great price with extras. Only had our Toshiba laptop 18 months before it died, so comforting to be able to extend the guarantee up to 3 years. Damaged Item Delivered and would NOT exchange...

Second laptop i have purchases from Simplyacer however service this time below standard.

Item arrived damaged, contacted simplyacer who then who then told me it could not be exchanged and that the damage to the screen was Not covered by The acer warranty as it was only a singal deap pixel

So spent £550+ on an item which is damaged.
Will continue to fight and get my money back or exchange.

Excellent Service and Delivery

Bought my Acer laptop from SimplyAcer and had no problems at all.

The (automated) sales system worked perfectly, the only disappointment being a Paypal surcharge.

DPD did a great job on the delivery side, especially the 1 hour delivery slot.

Would definitely use this seller again.

I ordered my new machine and it turned up the next day. No problems... I haven't had the need to contact customer service or anything like that so no comments on that aspect. All I know is I can now edit my videos! On the basis of my experience this company is recommended.

Poor service - delivered wrong product and very slow to correct this order

Ordered 17" Acer with HD screen and blu-ray. Delivered system with no blu-ray. Took over a week to get system collected and a further week later still waiting for a replacement. Had to take time off work for original delivery, collection of wrong-spec machine and will have to take more time off if they ever get round to providing the system I originally ordered

Good Service

I have now ordered two laptops from Simply Acer, one for my wife about 18 months ago and one for my father in law in November last year.
On both occasions the spec of the machine has been excellent for the money, I couldn't find better for the price, comms have been good keeping me updated and delivery swift.
I would recommend them and would buy again.

I've never had any complaints ordering anything from Acer. Its just a shame that they only offer PC's with MS Windows preinstalled. I would like to see PCs with a Linux option.

Fantastic company

I ordered my laptop for my daughter on the sunday evening i had an email on the monday morning to say it had been dispatched it arived on the tuesday by 9am in the morning and we live right out in the sticks we only get post 3 times a week so alll i can say please don't hesitate to use this company highly reccomended.
