Avoid! Pay extra to buy from a reputable seller!!

Summary: I can't stress enough how much I recommend avoiding this company! If you want the hairy details, continue reading.

I ordered my first laptop from Simply Asus which arrived within 24 hours (note: don't pay extra for next day delivery as they only send their laptops with next day delivery on all the options, including the free one). The laptop received was faulty, it was unable to switch on. It was evident as soon as spoke to the phone operator that Simply Asus did not want to be involved with the issue, and she tried referring me to Asus technical support rather than trying to replace a product that I received faulty. I then filled out the 'RMA form' that they use for processing returns, and I did not hear from them within the 1 working day that it specifies on their site. I then called to chase them up and the woman seemed helpful enough ( although she was in no way concerned or apologetic) and booked a courier to pick up the laptop the next day. The next day the courier didn't arrive and so I made another phone call. It turns out that my returns request hadn't been accepted and the woman I spoke to made a mistake by booking a courier. Anyway after waiting for their in house team to deem that my laptop had a problem after a few days, I spoke to a different person to book a courier to pick it up and it seemed like I would finally get rid of the laptop. Again the courier did not show up. I called the following day to find out what had happened, apparently it wasn't their fault but the couriers... surprise. On the following day the courier did arrive and my laptop was sent back. After more waiting, they confirmed that the laptop was faulty, however didn't provide me with any further actions like having the machine replaced or getting a refund. So I made yet another phone call to sort out a refund which they granted, however it was another 10 day wait before the money was back in my account.

They have a very long process for dealing with their mistakes. What is worse, is how unhelpful their phone support is. Please take my advice, it was 3 weeks for the process to be completed, and during that time I really started to doubt if I would get a refund. It is really not worth buying from this company.

(Note: I have now seen that they offer a service for around £10 that means you don't have to use their slow RMA return forms. It really goes to show how this company goes out of their way to rip you off)
