Went in store my family and myself were treated excellent.They let the kids watch a 3D film while we decided on a Television .Finally chose which television and stand .I am very impressed so far with the Tv .We had a slight issue with the TV , one the engineers came around and sorted it (it was something I had done in the set up!)
Last months I ordered a Bosch fridge freezer, delivery was within 4 days, they gave my wife a slot for delivery and were there punctually as well were very polite.Very satisfied customer would not hesitate to recommend them.
UPDATE: Someone called me up today to say the fridge was in-stock and will be delivered first thing tomorrow morning and above all.. was very apologetic & nice so I decided to change my review from 1 star to 4 stars.
Terrible company! Apparently I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with Simply Electricals. Let me explain...
Ordered a fridge July 17th and is now the 27th and still nothing. Called them to enquire what's going on and was advised that fridge won't be in-stock until Tuesday the 31st and will be delivered whenever "they're in my area". How is that 5-7 working days?? And if it's not in stock, why is it advertised on your site?? So you happily take my money but make no effort to inform me of the product not being in-stock, is it?? It's only when I rang up that I found out. And then even worse, the lady on the phone had a "it's not my problem, there's nothing I can do, gutted, you'll just have to deal with it" attitude. This is the first time ordering and I absolutely hate this company already. Atleast make an effort to apologize to me, say sorry... or something!! But no, you guys are just rude to customers. That's an awesome company policy.
Anyway, rant over.
I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but it's got to be said that I will never be ordering from Simply Electricals EVER AGAIN!
Looking at the reviews, I am definity not the first to encounter problems with Simply Electicals.
I have ordered a Samsung washer dryer almost 3 weeks ago. They took my money promptly but I am still waiting for my product!
During the last 3 weeks, I have been told on 2 occasions that they are processing my order. However, after spending £20 on phone calls(0844 number), their new story is that they have sold me a product they they no longer have in stock or in production.
The saddist thing is they hve yet to offer me a refund. I will of course call my credit card company as I have paid for something that I will never receive and a massive pile of washing.
Excellent service on the whole from purchase to delivery. Was kept informed at all times and delivery arrived when stated. When this happens it restores your faith and you beliefs that some companies do take you seriously. Also the lowest price I have found on the internet
I purchased a Samsung Blu-ray player from their Halliwell Road shop on my way home from work on Friday 13th Jan for £225.00. When I got home I was shocked to find the Costco catalogue at the back of the door advertising the exact same model for £155.00 inc the vat !!! I appreciate it costs £20 to join Costco of which I am already a member but even taking this into consideration its a difference of £50.00. I contacted the store who took my details and said they would "get back to me". Needless to say they didn't and by the time Friday came I rang again to be told by the Manager? "there was "nothing he could do for me and unless the item was faulty I could not return it". I rang their Customer Services Dept ( a contradiction in terms) to be told exactly the same thing only padded out with explinations of purchase prices and profit margins. So in short the moral of this story is, SHOP AROUND THOROUGHLY before you comit to buying Anything from SIMPLY ELECTRICALS as once you've parted with your hard earned cash and got your item home Its SIMPLY YOURS and they SIMPLY DONT GIVE A **** !!
I ordered a home theatre system from this company which according to their website was in stock. The company charged my credit card straight away and after 1 week, still no delivery. Called to complain and was told that indeed they have NO stock and didn't know when stock would turn up - their website still said they had stock in !!!
I have requested a refund - but almost a week later - NOTHING. I have no received the master card bill with this item on it so being forced to pay the credit card company for an item I don't even have !!!!!
Taking them a VERY long time to process the refund even though they are able to charge my credit card within minutes of me placing the order.
I would go with other companies in future (in this case I ordered the same item from amazon which was £5 cheaper and got it before 12pm the very next day)
Had 4 faulty tv's from this dishonest supplier! (pictures to follow shortly) Once they have your money they don't want to know if you have any problems. Staff have no product knowledge and even dismiss trading standards involvement! The manager of the Halliwell Road store even refused a refund (the call was recorded by myself as were many others where the Sale of Goods Act was clearly ignored!) Flatscreen tv's were seen to be laid on their side on the floor in the shop, was even told this was ok - someone needs re-educating! So you can only imagine how they are looked after in the warehouse!
Our case is now with a solicitor. Be warned, dont fall foul of this back street company. Shop elsewhere and safeguard your purchase!
