What a smooth operator
If anyone out there requires a stone feature for the garden then go to Simply paving. From order to delivery no problems and delivered on time. The questions that they asked about the delivery were so useful. The driver placed the pallet of stone directly next to where it was tone payed. Well done. Would certainly recommend them to all my friends and colleagues

Simply Paving - Reliable and good value
I ordered patio paving on Friday and it was delivered on the following Thursday. The price was competitive saving us seventy pounds and communication was very good.

Simply Paving, made my purchase SIMPLY SIMPLE !
After searching for a patio circle, online , I found SIMPLY PAVING , products to be what I wanted. I phoned them and spoke to Phillip, who didnt pressure me at all. he said if I needed any help , one of the team would help if I wished to phone back. Having been reassured,of the product, I did phone back to place my order. and I was so impressed with the help from Debra, and Lisa. That I told them that I thought the whole team, were, a credit to the company. The follow up of delivery was advised in advance, and my patio now is down . and an envy of my neighbours and friends. Delivery disappointing service good price good
Paid £20 extra for morning delivery half a day off work and then told at 11:30 they wouldn't get there till late afternoon rescheduled for next morning another half a day off work when thay came 3 pallets had collapsed had had to hand ball them off the wagon not to clever when your over 60 years old

May I first offer our apologies for the issues surrounding the delivery of your order.
I have been investigating the matter with our hauliers and I can confirm that the delivery was booked by Simply Paving for the morning of Thursday 9th May. Unfortunately, the local depot did not adhere to this information and as such they had the delivery scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday 9th May.
As agreed with my colleague, we rearranged delivery for the morning of Friday 10th May and from the delivery note it appears to have arrived by 10:00AM.
We certainly did not know about the pallets having collapsed prior to delivery. In such an event, the hauliers should have re-palletised before sending the goods out to ensure delivery could be made without issue. I have spoken to the hauliers and reiterated the need for pallets to be checked before sending out in order for delivery to be made as smoothly as possible.
Once again, please accept our apologies for the difficult delivery.

Delivery was not good
Had 10 bags of aggregate delivered on the 7th of may, I was not in when they brought if but it was delivered to my next door neighbours house which I didn't no any thing about till she came round to bring the invoice which had been left with the stones. That ment myself and my 1&year old. Daughter had to carry 10 bags of stones (which were not light) back round to my own house and then the pallets they came on as you can imagine not a happy bunny.Complained to the delivery company but didn't get much joy.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delivery.
Unfortunately, we were not aware of the situation until you submitted your feedback and as such I have been investigating the matter with our hauliers.
I have obtained the delivery note from the hauliers and it does actually state "left on drive as advised by customer", however, this must have been as advised by your neighbour. For that, I can only offer our apologies.
We did contact you on Thursday 2nd May to confirm that delivery would be made on Tuesday 7th May and from our system it does appear that somebody has ticked that you would be present at the address.
Unfortunately, as you were not at the address and the only contact telephone number that we had for you was your home telephone number, neither the driver or Simply Paving could actually reach you to obtain instructions as to where to leave the pallet.
It was then at the driver's discretion to find a safe place to leave the goods and this was determined to be with the neighbour.
As our deliveries are made to the kerbside or the bottom of the driveway, it is likely that even if the delivery had been made onto your driveway, the bags of aggregate would still have had to be carried to the back of your property.
Once again, I can only apologise for the inconvenience.

A pleasure to deal with this company
What a pleasure to deal with a company which gives good value, good service and does what it says. Easy to order online, confirmation e-mails at every stage of delivery, pleasant, helpful staff on the phone. Delivered on time, well packaged. Great Service

Patio Paving provides good value, but no thought given to delivery.
Telephone order was well handled and operator very helpful in advising the type and amount of slabs required. However as a part of the order the very limited access to our property was discussed and the operator made the Transport Manager aware of the very narrow Lane up from the main road and the
tight 90 degree turn into the driveway for our property. On the day, despite being advised of a morning delivery, the driver arrived at 6pm. He came in the biggest truck (at least 12 wheeler) with a trailer!! Well he had to unhook the trailer & leave it in the Lane, & was just able to squeeze his vehicle onto our drive. Having made the 'drop' the driver found he couldn't turn round in the Lane & so he had to reverse back the quarter of a mile (trailer attached) to the main road, where I had to stand out & stop the traffic to allow him out and on his way.
Patio is laid now and we are very pleased with the effect it has given us! Could have done without the hassle involved with the delivery!!

I have been looking into the matter with Bradstone, who delivered your order directly, to find out the circumstances surrounding the delivery.
I can confirm that both Simply Paving and Bradstone were fully aware of the issues regarding restricted access to your property.
Unfortunately, Bradstone were unable to obtain a six wheel rigid crane vehicle to collect and deliver from the particular yard where the product on your order was held. The only available vehicle of similar size was a "Wagon and Drag" crane vehicle.
This type of vehicle, as you mention in your feedback, has a trailer but it also has a shorter than average front section. These vehicles are purposely used for large loads to be delivered to sites with access restrictions (as opposed to articulated crane vehicles). The key reason for the vehicle being a rigid front end towing a trailer is so that the driver can uncouple the trailer, leaving it in a safe location, and deliver using the rigid front end.
Looking at your delivery location on Google Maps, it appears to be a very narrow gravel track and as such I am uncertain that any other type of crane vehicle (even a six wheel rigid) would be able access your delivery address with any more ease. It is also likely that these vehicles would have also had to reverse out of the lane.
Once again, we apologise for the difficulties experienced on delivery. We're glad to hear that you are pleased with the finished patio.

Good product, good price, good service but unfortunately a broken slab
I was really impressed with the customer service, the product and the price but unfortunately there was a broken slab which was dealt with well by simply paving but I had to wait another week for it to be delivered so I could finish the patio.
I would definitely use simply paving again.

Please accept our utmost apologies for the inconvenience caused by the late delivery.
We are currently monitoring the situation with this local delivery depot as unfortunately one other customer has received their delivery a day late without any contact being made by the hauliers to explain why.
We do request that builders / landscapers are not waiting on site on the day of delivery as deliveries can be made any time between 07:00 and 18:00 and in the event that a problem occurs, delivery may not be made until pre 10:00 the following day.
If builders / landscapers are required on site to receive delivery then we can request the driver to call one hour before to ensure that they are on site.
Once again, apologise for the inconvenience.

Courier couldn't put blocks where I wanted them
The courier's lorry was only equipped with a small hydraulic lifting thing which could raise up the pallet but had such small wheels that it would only roll on very smooth ground. Since the goods supplied are concrete block for paving it's obviously likely that they will be delivered to sites where the ground has been dug up, so something with larger wheels would have made a better job of delivery. As a result he had to leave the blocks on the pallet right at the end of the drive where they prevented vehicles from coming in and out until they were individually unloaded.
The delivery driver was courteous and helpful, but didn't have the right equipment for such a heavy load.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delivery. At Simply Paving we go to great lengths to ensure our deliveries are made as smoothly as possible. We have full details of the delivery method on all product pages, on our delivery policy page we have a video showing the delivery method and upon an order being placed we also send emails to confirm delivery details.
We also call our customers to verbally confirm delivery details prior to the day of delivery and we have a dedicated team in the office to carry this out.
As all delivery sites are different, we would not have known that the ground had been dug out and our records are showing that you confirmed that the ground was flat and solid on the delivery questionnaire.
Just to confirm, our delivery policy does state "Unless otherwise stated, all deliveries will be made to the kerbside or the bottom of the driveway, using a tail lift vehicle... This vehicle will lower the product to the ground using an electric lift. The pallet of products is then pulled off using a manual pallet truck."
We do fully appreciate your comments, but unfortunately, as we collect directly from various Bradstone works for delivery nationwide, the expense of providing crane or truck mounted forklift vehicles for all orders would prove prohibitive. That is why our deliveries are made using a nationwide pallet network, which is currently the most cost effective option.
The product that you ordered weighed 1,000kg, which is within health and safety weight limits for the driver to manoeuvre safely, providing there is a flat and solid surface at the point of delivery.
Generally, for orders in excess of 6 tonnes (depending on delivery location), we can look at delivery using a crane vehicle or truck mounted forklift vehicle.
We are always looking to improve our delivery method and feedback such as yours is certainly taken on board.
Again, please accept our sincere apologies for the difficult delivery.

The very stones would cry out.....
if I didn't tell you about this company, Simply Paving! I found the website which was clear and easy to use, chose my product Bradstone kerbs, then decided to order over the phone. The lady who took my order was friendly and professional, very clear about what info she needed, double checked that I had ordered the right product, politely challenged me to make sure I had ordered the right 'special' blocks and then explained the next steps. I got the follow up email to give my delivery detail immediately and the a reminder a few days later and a call on the day before delivery to make sure it was still OK.I paid for an afternoon delivery and at 3.30pm on the Friday before a Bank Holiday the order arrived! Smooth and helpful all the way. Great customer service and the product was as described on the website. What more can you ask?

Great customer service
There was a hiccup with the delivery where the delivery was a day later than scheduled - this wasn't great considering the £30 delivery charge!
However, the customer service in resolving this issue was polite and prompt with delivery re-scheduled first thing the following day and phone calls made to keep me informed so well recovered!

It's the internet right?? You're always a bit concerned ordering something like this on the internet, sight unseen. I needn't have worried, all 24m2 of paving arrived intact, no broken slabs, All original Bradstone pavers.
Definitely be there for delivery, as the pallet truck would not have been able to unload without my help.
[There was a 'funny' barcode on some slabs that had been marked up as grey but they were wrapped in pallets marked as buff, which is the color that I wanted. Someone at bradstone probably went mad with a labelling machine! :-) ]

Everything was as expected. The only thing that might stop me from placing my next big order is the price. I found better deal somewhere else so will try to ask to match it. Otherwise better that bnq and wickes and would definitely recommend for small and medium size home projects.

The price for the Bradstone Stone Circle was over £100 cheaper than my usual builder's merchant. The deliver was exceelnt since I was phone a couple of days before and so I could prepare and the delivery company was really helpful leaving the stones as high up my drive as possible. I cannot see how some of the major building suppliers (and I get trade discount) can compete with this all round package.

Awful delivery policy.
No issues with pricing or product. Inefficient delivery service, unable and unwilling to give convenient delivery slots. Apparently I didn t ask for premium delivery so it is not company policy to offer it. If I didnt know they offered it how could I ask for it !! I did repeatedly ask for an AM delivery so that I could make good use of a day off.The paving turned up at 16:50, after I had been told [after repeatedly phoning] that the delivery slot was between 14:00 and 16:00. I have complained to the company, but apparently it is not their fault and they are not liable for my time.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the delivery of your product.
Our website does state that delivery is between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00. It is not company policy to "push" products or add-ons and that is why we don't actively sell AM or PM deliveries at the time of order.
If, however, you had mentioned a preferred delivery time slot, then I am confident that one of my colleagues would have offered you either an AM or PM delivery for the additional surcharge. If that was not the case, then I apologise.
I have spoken to the team in the office and reiterated that if a customer enquires about a delivery time slot, then an AM or PM upgrade can be offered.
On the day of delivery we do try to obtain an estimated time of arrival for our customers and the time you were given was relayed by Simply Paving directly from information given by the delivery depot. Unfortunately, the delivery arrived at 16:50 rather than between the time slot of between 14:00 and 16:00. For that, we can only apologise.
Simply Paving do apologise for all inconvenience caused in this matter and I can assure you I have spoken with the team in the office to confirm our procedures regarding AM or PM deliveries.

Great service and product
Delivery was advised by text and was four working days after ordering. The driver was helpfull and left my two pallets at the top of the drive (he would have taken these to the rear of my house but my gate was too narrow for the pallets). The paving was fantastic quality, well packaged and out of the 128 pieces only 1 showed a minor crack. Far better than my expectations. I received both email and text message inviting me to call the helpline if needed, I didn't so cannot comment on that service but the invite to call is reassuring. My paving is now laid and looks fantastic. Highly recommended.

The Autumn Cotswold slabs look perfect in my garden, they look like natural stone and are good quality but very reasonably priced. the website was easy to use, and the customer service was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommed the company.
