I purchased some rollerblades from this site and was told they would come a day after. That was almost a month ago, the company is difficult to get a hold of and generally rude and dismissive when you do. I honestly wouldn't have cared if they were a weak late, as long as i got my product but i haven't. Please don't use them, there are plenty of reputable retailers. Using skate-hut is basically burning money.
I ordered some skates form skatehut only to find they didn't fit, nobodies fault, i called and they said to send them back and as soon as they received them they would send the bigger size i needed. The whole thing took 5 days pretty impressive i thought
The scooters we ordered for our after-school club have seen some "enthusiastic" use over the last couple of years and still remain in good working order and a real favourite with the kids! I have been able to get Xmas and birthday presents for family and friends recently and would like to recommend you check out the actual shop too, as they have huge stock and friendly helpful team.
I have purchased three times from Skatehut now, all for my children and the customer service and speed of delivery is impressive. It is so pleasant to speak to someone who actually knows what they are talking about when inquiring about their different products and each time their advice has been spot on. I don't often rate company's but this one has to be rated asthe quality of service and stock they provide is fantastic.
In December I bought 3 JD bug scooters for my grandchildren. 2 had to be returned because they were faulty and was promised that postage would be refunded but despite frequent calls and e mails this is not the case. I then found a local stockist who was cheaper and more reliable. I encourage you to do the same.
Reading some of the earlier reviews on here I wasn't sure I had the right company!!!
Am nothing but delighted with Skatehut. As a young family we're new to the world of all things skate - Skatehut have provided me with unconditional advice as well as stocking a range of products I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
Nothing to report re process - it's all been seamless, website (both via computer and mobile) is really accessible and easy to use. Ordering really easy and delivery was to deadline.
Mabel's delighted with her new helmet which is soooooooooo much cooler than the other helmets available for her small head elsewhere! Give them a try!
All the parts ive ordered off the site arrived in time as promised, The range of parts is so incredible so many parts and products to choose from. Also once i needed some advice on some bars,rang them and they gave me great feedback and showed alot of respect!!
I ordered a blunt AOS V2 deck, came next day, with no trouble at all!
I called the guys at Skatehut after my son had broken a part on his scooter. My son had given me an outline of the problem but being a Dad I wasn't exactly sure what I was asking. Even with my vague description of the problem the chap on the phone diagnosed the issue and helped in ordering the correct part to get my sons scooter up and running again. The part arrived the very next day and my son was delighted that he was able to use his pride and joy again.
We ordered the scooter from skatehut initally and after this latest order I have no hesitation in recommending the site to everybody.
I think from some of the reviews below it seems there have been some hiccups with service/communication but I would say this certainly was not reflected in my experience.
i am really pleased and surprised by my recent transaction with skate hut. the customer service was the best I have ever had from any company. The staff were responsive to our enquiry an relaced the brake for my sons scooter promptly and without any drama. they were profesional and more helpful than I had expected.

Ordered a scooter and some 81 customs pegs to match it for my sons Christmas present. The scooter arrived but the pegs didn't. After multiple emails to the company advising them that the pegs were missing (can't get through on the phone) I finally got a reply telling me to check inside the scooter box. Obviously I'd already checked inside the box.
I advised Skatehut that indeed the pegs were not present. They asked me to check again as a supervisor had packed this order! When I again stated they were definitely not there I was told they'd send them straight away. That was 4 weeks ago and still no pegs or the refund I've since requested.
Avoid at all costs! You have been warned.
I have had to return faulty goods.
It has taken an age to get my money back.
They have not refunded the return postage.
I will now be contacting Trading Standards about this company.
I am totally disgusted with Skatehut and will never use them again.
I feel so strongly about this and consequently feel I need to inform others.

Have purchased gift vouchers from this company after previous good service. However only after letting them know that we were considering contacting Trading standards did one voucher get issued. I now have £130.00 of money invested in the company. I placed an order to use these vouchers that were given to my son for xmas to buy his 'dream scooter'. The company have sent through an email stating payment failure however I am unable to get any response from emails or telephone to sort this out. I am unable to go else where due to money being tied up in vouchers. My son is devastated and I am appalled and frustrated. It looks like trading standards will be my route now as they have offered no other alternative. My advise is not to use this company due to the uncertainty of any klevel of service.
Great site very friendly sound advice , my son gave me vague clues I passed these on to the helpfull advice team who managed to work out what it was he wanted , my son was over the moon, exactly what he wanted. Fantastic service, ordered lunch time one day had my order lunchtime the next very impressed. esp as i had left it so late to order one happy boy had his birthday pressie on time. thanks all at skate hut saved my skin lol
i ordered some scooter wheels, and there was some confusion as i had put my email down as a postal address however this was soon sorted out and my wheels got down to me in 24 hours as specified, brilluiant service, howard from skatehut was really helpful and sorted out everything for me, thank you.
Do not under any circumstance use this company, I placed my order for shoes at the end of November with payment for 3 day delivery. All looked good,was told item was in stock so awaited delivery. After a week I phoned Skatehut and it must have been a fluke because somebody answered, they told me to call Fedex with the tracking number, so I did to find they had never received the goods. Since then ( 3 weeks ) their phone has been engaged. I managed to get a reply via email to be told item not in stock after all and was offered a refund, great I thought WRONG, nearly 2 weeks have passed and still no refund or shoes. Paypal now have the case but they haven't responded to them either. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Seamless problem free service - delivered by Fedex, last minute xmas present so was a bit worried they'd be busy.
Payed for an item (luckily only very cheap), money taken and still hasnt arrived in post. emailed company and was told they would look into it the follwing day and get back to me, no email recieved so i contacted them (again). was told it was sent on the 8th but they would resend it. (how can you resend something that is supposed to be in the post?)
anyway point is im glad i didnt spend anymore than i did and will not shop here again
First time customer. Ordered a skateboard for my son. showed as dispatched on 12th December, I sent an e-mail to the company on 18th to see how long delivery would be, but before they could reply (which they did the next day) the skateboard arrived same day/18th. Very pleased with skateboard, Company replied to e-mail and item arrived within delivery time stated. Would use again.
Ordered a skateboard for my sons birthday.Next day delivery. 3 days later it had not arrived. Emailed but no response. Finally got response to say order was mislaid as result of a computer change over but would be despatched immediately if I confirmed delivery address. Needless to say despite doing as instructed several times and chasing them up. Still no skateboard several months later but also no refund either. One very disappointed son and one very angry and out of pocket still mum.!!
I order some blade covers at the beginning of december, it said they had been dispatched on the 12th but still nothing on the 18th so I emailed skatehut and they replied within a couple of hours and said they had been shipped but if I had not received them by the 20th they would ship another set out to me by fed ex on next day delivery, which they did. I can't rate them enough, very pleased and the fact they responded so quickly to my emails, thank you skatehut, its a shame more companies are not as good as you!
Ordered a scooter which was delivered around about the time stated, but the clamp was faulty so it could not be used. Reported the problem imediately and followed the guide lines provided including photographs as requested. Two months later with only one response to emails and phone calls and threatening to return the item which they have said we can not do as its been used. My son can only travel a couple of meters before leaning over and readjusting the clamp which has caused numerous injurys because of the clamp being faulty. Completely unsatisfactory service.....
