Ich kannte SkyTours gar nicht. Durch SkyScanner bin ich darauf gestoßen, denn sie hatten das preisgünstigste Angebot! Ich buchte, erhielt sofort die Bestätigung. Die Abbuchung des Tickets erfolgte reibungslos und das eTicket wurde ebenfalls mit Abbuchung ausgefertigt!
I apologise for sounding grumpy in my previous review. Sky Tours has finally found a good solution in my case, and after exchanging a few emails, we have come to an amicable settlement. The company is going to fully refund the cost of my ticket and will charge only a fee of 19 GBP for their services , which is fair. Part of misunderstanding was possibly my fault. I have now gained more experience in booking flights on line. Many thanks to Elisabeth for her prompt reaction and flexibility.
I have worked in the airline/travel industry for 42 years and this is the simplest, quickest reservation I have ever made. The way to go for airline reservations.

Eine Flugbuchung bei SkyTours ist jedesmal schnell und unkompliziert. Es werden keine versteckten oder gar nicht veröffentlichte Kosten/Gebühren berechnet.
I purchased a ticket with no problems, at a great price. I received an email telling me that my reservation was successful. 6 hours later I received another email claiming that my reservation had been unsuccessful and sky tours was unable to confirm my reservation. I was told that my card had NOT been charged. To insure the issue was not with my card I tried again with another card as I had been recommended to by Sky tours. Same thing happened, when in fact both times I tried to purchase tickets, my card was charged for $435 each time. The problem as customer support pointed out after I contacted them via email was "due to the airline being unable to confirm the flight you selected." Yet both times, my card was charged, even though I was told it had not been. The SAME flight that I tried to book is still up for someone else to tie $435 in and waste their time and money on. I guess I could try again for kicks and giggles, but I know how it ends. With no flight, money out of my account and two emails; one saying my card has not been charged, try again and another saying "there was a problem and the pending charge on your account has been released and posting time may vary depending on the bank and how long it takes for them to update my account." This claim that you do not charge an account until a ticket has been purchased is false. Its black and white, my account had X dollars in it before now it has X minus the amount you charged twice for the tickets I do not have. I can not use the money, I can not get that amount out if I wanted. ITS NOT THERE. Be warned, your gambling with no return when you book with Sky Tours. I am now waiting for the almost $900 to be put back in my account so I can purchase a flight elsewhere.
Everything was fairly easy and the price offered was the best. I would like to see payment available from Paypal. I was also only offered one type of frequent flyer option despite the fact that all airlines the alliance I was flying are counted.

would not use this site again they do not issue tickets straight away but debit your card instantly then email saying there has been a problem with security fraud etc etc by the time i had verifed myself the tickets had gone up in price and they charged me 50 dollars more even though i had already been debited in my bank the original price of the tickets.
i will never use sky tours again your better off just checking on sky scanner find which airline you need then book direct with the airline and cut out these agencies.

after reading the reviews on this site i have seen there are many people complaining about your very poor customer service and to be honest your reply to your paying customers who have given you a bad review are quiet derogatory to say the least .
my information i gave you for my card was 100 percent correct my name on my card was 100 percent correct, my billing address was 100 percent correct so i see no reason my card should have been flagged for me buying my girlfriend a airline ticket.
anyway i would have accepted this if your customer service had been quicker to respond i have limited time because of my work to get online so to wait 12 hours or more from a so called 24 /7 support service in my opinion is not good enough personally i don't think you actually have 24/7 support .
i use the internet to book things quickly most descent proper sites use bank verification as there security now the only reason i can see why you don't do this is because you just take the flight request details then book on the airline website yourself and if you have long delays processing the tickets because you don't really have 24/7 customer support .
I cant think of any other travel agency that does not have telephone support incase of any problem or is it just you would have to many angry customers asking when there going to get there tickets
i agreed to pay the extra because i had no choice you had debited my card twice im still waiting for the first canceled payment to be returned to me which as of yet it has not been returned to my bank so i could not purchase another ticket till the original money was returned.
if you had proper 24/7 support you should be able to reply to any problem within a hour if this had happened my ticket price would not have gone up it took so long for you to tell me you had a problem with my card.
this is not a isolated incident I've read through your reviews and most of which seem to good to be true I've never seen people wright reviews so good and actually go in depth trying to sell your company there are obviously fake then the others are so bad with people getting poor customer service waiting to see if they will get tickets or not.
In future i will stick to using the airlines websites for bookings as I've never had any problems with them.

I had a very good experience except for a few minor bumps, which were resolved to my satisfaction in a matter of days. Can definitely recommend this website. After initial problems, the customer service was excellent and everything went smoothly.
Found a great, and cheap, way to organise my first trip OS on this site. It was easy, and I'm so happy to have organised my trip with them. I tried a couple of angles to book the trip from other sites and travel agents and these guys are the best I found. :)
I went into the SkyTours website with a great deal of cynicism as travel sites are two a penny, they advertise the cheapest price and when you do a search that price is never available, the information takes forever to load and you almost need a degree in IT to navigate. What I found on SkyTours was a site which is simple but functional, fast to load information and the prices stated were the prices available. And those prices were $200 cheaper than the same flights able to be booked on the Airline website.
Confirmation was received by email immediately and within a few minutes the reservation could also be checked on the airline website. Tickets arrived by email the following day.
What more could a person ask for!!

The process was really easy and straightforward until I tried to process the payment. I'm in Portugal trying to get home to Australia but I had to ring my bank as the payment was declared as declined. It wasn't declined, it needed to be verified as the website doesn't have a https secure site. Once that was sorted the tickets were issues within minutes and my flight confirmed. Phew!!
Hi Willy tried calling again today, same thing and left a message. I did however receive a text on my mobile from someone by the name of 'janettesky' which I couldn't reply back to. I may as well ask my question here... I'm looking at booking the following flight on your website. 16 Aug 2013 Vienna to New York (via London) for $499AUD. I only need the London to New York section though, not the Vienna to London section. If I check in at London will this be ok? and I will forfeit the previous Vienna to London section. For some reason it works out much cheaper than trying to book a London to New York fare on your website. I look forward to your response. Thank you.
