I can only echo other negative reviews. Whatever the reason for non-delivery, you the customer are going to end up paying a £40 redelivery fee or lose £40 off a refund. In my case, the webform did not transmit all of the information I had entered but with no warning or error message. So they did not give the couriers my mobile phone number and I didn't get a call to say that they were coming. They claimed that the couriers had been to the property and posted a card but there was no card.
When I eventually agreed to pay the redelivery fee, first they booked the delivery to go to the billing address (rather than the delivery address) then, when I called them, they changed it but still didn't give the courier my mobile number. The delivery only worked because I called the couriers direct and made the arrangement. Bedstar just couldn't care less - they have your money and know that there's nothing practically that you can do apart from pay whatever re-delivery fee they demand.
We bought 2 wooden bed frames which were delivered on the day we'd nominated and are absolutely lovely. We later noticed a manufacturing flaw which we described to Bedstar by email. We did not want to return the bed part because it was in use. Bedstar were absolutely excellent - they contacted the manufacturer for us and chased the enquiry up when we didn't receive a prompt reply. Soon afterwards, we received a (perfect) replacement part. Would not hesitate to use this company again. Thank you.
Ordered a bed online, arrived when it was supposed to and I was sent a delivery notification with a tracking number, which is more than some companies do. Overall I received good service and the bed is great.
I ordered a single bed divan base and mattress, how i wished i had done my research on this company first ( a lesson ive since learnt, google any company you buy from first, if you havent heard from them ie big brand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).Bed never arrived, i had to go out and buy another bed, then waited 2 weeks for a refund, i had to hound them, yes their emails bounce back! I had to get creative i named and shamed them on Twitter and harrassed the director on linked in (john stalker). I even contacted Trading Standards for Yorkshire. I eventually today got my refund after i harrassed them with emails and calls and twitter, plus bad reviews on line. They refunded the amount less the delievery fee ( same story seebelow) they DID not deliever and had conflicting stories, once they tried to deliever, then they didnt, then i asked them to describe my address and they couldnt (it is very distinctive) then the courier company were so rude to me and said its after 4pm tea time what do you expect? Rude and aggressive customer care team and couriers. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE!!!!!!!!!
These people are SCAM artists, DO NOT USE. If you have a problem your on your own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They block you once you start emailing them !!

Ordered two chests of drawers mid Nov as a Xmas present. At 7th Jan they delivered smashed drawers. Four (4)) times they have scheduled a replacement delivery but all have been no show, with my working daughter and son inlaw arranging to receive. That's bad enough, but they seem to think is just fine, as no compensation is offered. We will never use them again - and strongly recommend you don't. Be aware the email address given for customer service on their website is fake - any email there is bounced back so you will never get a reply
Horrible attitude as a company. Bought a bed that myself and a carpenter (who runs a very successful company) put together 100% correctly. 3 months later the bed collapsed after my gf (of 8 stone!) sat down on it, injuring her knee and ripping a very expensive memory foam matress. The company repeatedly questioned how the bed was put together and have totally disregarded any offer of compensation with regards replacing them matress that was destroyed as a direct result of the bed failing. Ignored emails and offered 15% off a new matress as a goodwill gesture. I'd rather pay 15% more elsewhere than use this company again.
I received my order from Bedstar within 24hrs of placing the order. I didn't get the email confirming delivery, but it arrived at lunchtime. Beautiful bed and mattress, easy to assemble and excellent value I.e.top quality huge discounted goods. Already recommended to friends and family.
Order not received,delivery cancelled 2 days of waiting no immediate refund was told we have to wait till they receive it back at the warehouse, they blame other people like the couriers they employ total incompetence from this company, blaming couriers when they had sent the order late, they have no control on delivery.and had the same problem getting through to the couriers as we did, not good.
I have ordered a bed and mattress from Bedstar and have taken the day off work to await its delivery sometime between 7 am and 7 pm. I have just had a phone call from them telling me that they cannot deliver today and they had been trying to contact me to tell me this. Obviously I’m not too please as I have taken a day off work. They inferred that it was my fault for not being at home when they phoned me to tell me that the bed would not be delivered. I have an answer machine but no messages were left for me. They also have my email address to which they send my order confirmation as well as the receipt for the bed but they were at a loss as to whey they should have emailed me to inform me of their problem! I suppose I should apologise to Bedstar for being at work when I should have been at home just in case they wanted to speak to me.
Don't want to sound like a moaner but please read this before you purchase anything.
I bought a pine bed from this company online and from the picture on the website it looked like a dark brown bed - perfect! The delivery time was accurate and it arrived as promised after the delivery people called my mobile and I got someone to be there when they delivered. The bed turned out to be orange...nothing like the picture. I called to complain at once and organised a refund and was told I would have to pay £40 for collection. After much hassle back and forth I accepted that £40 may be deducted from my refund, but that it wouldn't if indeed the bed was a different colour. We organised the collection and I was under the assumption they would call my mobile like they had done on delivery. No mobile call came at which point I called them to find out that the delivery guys had come and gone and not taken the bed! I called up and was told that I would have to pay £40 there and then for collection. I just wanted to get the bed out of the house so agreed and paid. At no point was I told that I would still be charged for the failed collection. The bed was picked up, but then I found out I had been charged £80 for both collections! They also say that the colour is correct online. I think whoever looked at the bed is colour blind. It could not be more different from the picture. The company have refused to budge, their T&C's very unclear and ambiguous, and I am £80 out of pocket for a bed that was the wrong colour in the first place! Bed star take no responsibility and I feel I was set up from the start when they did not call me, as if they knew they could charge me double. They have been rude and treated me with nothing bu contempt when I tried to complain.
This is their stance on their online chat that they cut me off from: "Do think it is fair that we should pay our delivery company two charges to rectify something that is not our fault? I don't." - Well they sent me a different colour bed and didn't call me to collect, is it their fault? Yes, I think it is.
I ordered their top range of divan base which cost £209 in their sale. It was a week late but it is snowing. However the base did not look like the picture , it is terrible quality. The material is fraying, it has no sprung edge as stated and is no more than a wooden box. A company should not sell such rubbish. To add to the woes the delivery team refused to take the base to the room of my choice as stated, as they do not do this and 'had I ordered off Bedstar'. I have asked Bedstar to take the base back as it is not usable.

Delivery/Receipt/Check quantity & quality of goods - (Good arrived Sat 18th Dec - 09:55am). The goods came in mint condition and securely wrapped, taken with great care. The lorry drivers were sincere and professional. 6. Valuse for Money!
Taken into account the with adverse weather conditions the delivery left 2am just to make sure receive the goods, make that extra effort for customer service.
I must say after reading some reviews I had a first class service from start to finish and exceeded my expectations.
The bed frame was easy to setup and so far the mattress is a dream!! The best one I have every slept on. (Stock, Sealy, Dream Star, 4FT 6' Double Mattress)

I have tried & tried to make a complaint, but to no avail. The delivery company, who failed twice to deliver because 'the van broke down', were rude & aggressive on the phone. Bedstar fobbed me off to the delivery company to persue the complaint, Bedstar said they'd contact me-no one has & despite beinh persistent, I have got no where. A real shambles & very unprofessional.
After reading some on the reviews here i was a bit sceptical about buying a bed over the internet but due to the fact my bed broke overnight i didn't have time to go to a shop and decided to give it a go and was pleasantly surprised. The sales staff at bedstar were well informed and talked me through a number of options before i finally selected a Sleepeezee bed. I was given a delivery date immediatly over the phone.
On the day of delivery i received a call from the delivery driver explaining he would be delivering the bed within the next 2 hours and hey presto the bed turned up as instructed. the delivery guys were really good as i was worried i would have to carry it up the stairs myself but the delivery guys took it upstairs for me and also helped me move my old bed out of the way.
I even received a call a week later asking if i was happy with the service i received! Well done bedstar a great bed with service to match! will certainly use again if im in need of a new bed.
I will NEVER have any dealings with Bedstar again. The customer service reps are rude and dismissive. The delivery people are a joke (they use another company called Highway Express) but conveniently use Highway as an excuse if a delivery error is made.
My £300 bed never turned up and after taking the day off work I complained to Bedstar. Only to be told that the bed had been delivered - strange because I didn't have it. The next day I received a call saying I would have to pay for another delivery. Another £40!. I refused and told Bedstar I wanted a full refund. I had to do this in writing but verbally they agreed. However, for the terrible service I received from Bedstar I had to pay £40 for the priviledge in the form of a cancellation charge. So whatever I did Bedstar was going to get my £40.
As a follow up to my previous bad experience with this company (see below), I would like to warn others of the following.
Due to this company's delay in responding to my price match enquiry (they said they would get back to me within one business day, they took two and half business days) I decided to purchase my bedstead elsewhere, since then I keep getting emails from them chasing me for a sale.
I have replied to their emails, and expressed my disgust of their terrible customer service, and informed them that I have bought the bed elsewhere, and still they email me trying to sell me the bed. No sign of any kind of apology for the terrible service and harrassment of course.
This company just seem to get worse, would certainly NOT recommend them to anyone.
------- Originally emailed Bedstar to enquire about bedstead dimensions, as they listed the width as 12 cms wider than a standard kingsize mattress, and the photo on their site didn't make it look that much wider than the mattress on the bedstead.
They replied insisting the measurements were correct and confirmed by the manufacturer. I saw the same bedstead listed on other sites cheaper, so I sent a price match enquiry to Bedstar. The automated reply said they would get back to me within one business day. By the end of the following business day I emailed them again to let them know I hadn't heard anything. Two and a half business days later still no reponse so I decided to purchase the bedstead elsewhere.
First up I tracked down the manufacturer just to check the dimensions, and they gave me completely different measurements to Bedstar.
I ordered the bedstead elsewhere, but have since been getting emails chasing me to buy from Bedstar, even though I have replied telling them of my bad experience with their company, and that I have ordered elsewhere.
We purchased a bed from BedStar - the actual sales service was great - however the delivery was pathetic - they are the most incompetent people on the planet. We communicated with that we required a specific time to organise to meet the delivery person @ home, however instead, after 5 calls pre-delivery, the driver calls me up asking me where I am: “Im outside your house”….
After various conversations and denial of certain facts regarding the goings on - instead of apologising for the rubbish service they charged and additional £40 to get the bed delivered.
Would not recommend the delivery service of bedstar – the worst service I have ever had – go to a shop - online items like this are a disaster.
