The chair is exactly what we wanted, finished to a very high standard and a beautiful addition to the room in which it has been placed.
However, the delivery!!! We had been given a timed delivery slot of, I think 45 minutes. My wife and I had been out but arrived home about 1 minute or so BEFORE the start of the delivery window to find the delivery people waiting. They made it very clear that they had been waiting a few minutes and had been just about to leave!!. They were unhappy that we asked them to take the chair upstairs and then, on entering the house, pushed the door open with such force that it broke a glass candle holder. Having 'completed' the delivery they couldn't get away quickly enough.
This will certainly make us think twice about using the company again.
Ordered barolo aubergine but the swatch came today and its burgundy. Now the new curtains and cushions have to go back. They dont photograph very well. But excellent service as delivery was only 10 days away and they changed tne colour without any trouble at all so we're having black. This may seem trivial to some but my dreams of a purple lounge have sadly crashed and burned.
I have been completely overwhelmed by the excellent level of service I have received from sofa sofa. From ordering the brochure and samples, to arraging delivery, every member of staff was helpful and friendly. Delivery was great, helpful delivery men, on time etc! The sofas are lovely, very happy. All in all I would highly recommend them as a company I would buy from again and will happily tell anyone who will listen!

Has legs and so gives real airy ,spacious feel , I can also get a clear under bed storage box under it!
You really sink into the comfy cushions , but they are still supportive and keep shape, the cushion less back makes it allways look smart .
All in all it is a great design and shape, was a great price, fab fabric, ultra comfortable and was delivered super speedily.
I have had a sofa and chair ffrom sofasofa for a number of years and recently ordered a new chair cover in the same colour. It arrived different fabric colour and quality, not a match. Tried to replace with a contrasting colour(within 7 days) and was told that the price had gone up and I would need to add another £51! Now have to cover the chair with a throw. Shame as the quality of the build is good but warnings about fabric change should be made when you order online.

We recently purchased a trendy corner sofa for our lounge and were so impressed with the results we ordered another one for our second room a few weeks later. I can honestly say the whole experience on both occasions was nothing short of perfect. Great service, great products, great value! Well it goes to show we were so pleased we bought one twice!

After extensive research I decided to purchase my new sofas from SofaSofa.
What a very enjoyable experience. After speaking to the very friendly and knowledgeable staff in their call centre, I was advised to visit the large showroom where I was able try out all the various ranges which cater for all tastes and budgets.
After spending a long time pestering the staff who were more than happy to spend the time demonstrating and explaining the products, we chose our new furniture. The order process was simple and I received a confirmation in the post a couple of days later.
I was contacted after a couple of weeks to arrange a delivery slot. This was a 2 day slot which was then narrowed down to a 3 hour delivery window a few days beforehand.
The delivery drivers were very friendly and helpful and delivered the furniture to a very awkward room with no complaint or damage.
I would most certainly use SofaSofa again and have already recommended them to friends and family.

We took delivery of our sofas before Xmas and they looked the business. However they are extremely uncomfortable as the stuffing keeps migrating to the back of the cushion and we have to flip them over for a few weeks. Obviously they are using inferior stuffing rather than a high grade sponge. The sofa we chose is the Malvern, don't buy it! We had a derwent sofa before, it was lovely and comfy but twice the price of this one so lesson learnt in that you get what you pay for! Still I will explore my statutory rights through trading standards to see what recourse have.
From the point of the placing the order to receiving my armchair it was an absolute breeze. Brilliant communication from sofasofa and always really friendly - fabulous customer service, which unfortunately is lacking in many companies.
Delivery was on time and again, the delivery men, were very helpful and were happy to carry the chair up the flight of stairs into my flat.
My new armchair is gorgeous and sits proudly in my new home. Every single person who has come round admire the chair, the quality and the price! It really is a talking point and to top it all off, extremely comfortable!

I received my second Sofa Sofa leather sofa and armchair in early March this year.
I had previously had one of their leather suites for approximately 9 years - my cats destroyed it before I did!
I am really pleased with my purchase and finding I can still afford nice furniture is a real bonus.

I've had my current sofasofa sofas for over six years and couldn't be happier with them. They are extremely comfortable and I often get asked where I've got them from. Sadly my model has been discontinued but as soon as I've decided on a new colour scheme for my living room I shall be returning to buy from them again. I will also be selling my old one's as they are in such good condition and look like new. I am a very happy customer :-)
My review is not too original. It reiterates pretty much what many other customers have said before in this and other forums about Sofa Sofa: STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!
Just please allow me to contribute to this forum my own version of their FAQs:
Q1. Why are our prices so low? (they ask…)
My answer: Simply because their products are of very poor quality.
I bought 2 two-seater sofas from this Company a few years ago. The model was “Valencia” with loose covers.
The seat and back cushions were described on the website as made of “hollow fill fibre”.
In reality, all the cushions looked like a pancake when anything heavier than a mosquito sat on them. They were so uncomfortable and they looked so dreadful, that I had to get all 8 cushions redone by a fantastic Company in Dorset that made the replacements to measure and filled the cushions with the best quality foam with a 10-year guarantee. The re-upholstered cushions cost me almost as much as the sofas, but they were worth every penny and they are the only reason why we are still using these 2 sofas.
As for the fabric, it was advertised as “100% cotton jacquard fabric, fully removable and washable at up to 40'C.”. The reality was that the covers could not be washed even at 30’C w/o shrinking to a fraction of their size. Plus they faded a lot and even started to shred on a couple of places after just a few gentle washes w/o spin (and this gave me the problem I describe below…).
Q2. Can I trust you? (they ask…)
My answer: NO!!!
My sofas were provided by “Divani” one of the several “sister companies” that advertise as part of Sofa Sofa. But my covers were delivered by “Oakridge” (another sister…). Please note that if you contact this people to inquiry about the delivery of your product, or if you want to (Oh, how dare you!) complain, they will expect YOU to know who sent the product (or they won’t be able to find your order), even though they’re all part of the same group.
When I recently ordered (yet another…) replacement cover for the sofas it took a month and a half to arrive and turned up “unannounced”. Unfortunately, when it arrived I was ill, so I didn’t have the chance to check it for a week and a half after the delivery. Then I noticed I had ordered the wrong size. I called Sofa Sofa straight away and was informed that I was set to lose the initial delivery charge + the collection charge + the credit card charge (Total £30 for a £109 purchase). Even when I offered to swap the original item for 2 (!) replacements covers, they insisted I would still have to pay ALL those charges.
You should be aware that this people charge a flat rate of £10 for credit card purchases, regardless of the value of the item. This not only contravenes a recent OFT guideline from Dec 2012, but will (hopefully...) be downright illegal when European proposals that will force companies to make these surcharges cost-reflective become law mid-2014. Which? says businesses incur costs of about 20p on debit card transactions and about 1.8% of the transaction for payments by credit card. In my case, Sofa Sofa charged me EIGHT % of the transaction as a credit card fee. If, for example, you were to order a pair of arm caps or cushions @ £11 and pay by credit card, Sofa Sofa would charge you 90.9% of the purchase in “credit card fees”. That is, you must pay through the nose to be able to pay to a company with which you can only do business *online*.
Q3. What happens if I don't like the furniture? (they ask…)
My answer: You’re stuck.
When I called their so-called customer services and tried really hard to still make my purchase w/o losing £30 of hard earned cash for an honest mistake, they insisted that I had agreed to their T&C and that was the end of it.
Please beware: This people claim on their Website they’re the “largest direct selling furniture manufacturer” and they “now count our customers in the millions.“ So they hear you say that you don’t like their product(s) and/or their service... SO WHAT? You tell them they’re about to lose you as a customer…. SO WHAT? They’ll tell you to go ahead and take a jump as they’ll still have MILLIONS of other unsuspecting customers buying from them.
We were looking for a second hand sofa originally when my brother recommended Sofa Sofa and having viewed the website, great to navigate, we were really pleased that we could afford a new sofa, with hardwood frame, in a range of colours. It was really straight forward to purchase and any queries from the company were telephoned or emailed to us. It is nice to purchase from the source without any middle man. Delivery could not have been easier and we were really pleased at how accurate the timing of the delivery was.
I'm delighted with my new sofa, its perfect!
I ordered the Ellis in Mocha and was delighted when it arrived. Quality item at a very competitive price. Have been buying from this company for over 15 years for a portfolio of rentals. Sofas offer excellent value and durability for the demands of high occupancy rental. Delivered time after time after time on schedule. Have recently submitted an order for my own home.
I ordered my sofa early December 2012 and am still waiting in Feb 2013 my delivery has been cancelled with various excuses 4 times now and I still have no sofa!!!
We ordered a Kipling sofa plus footstool from SofaSofa in 2011. We had to complain about 6 months later as the fabric was bobbling. They took our cushion cover in for "investigation" and we were left without a cushion cover for a couple of weeks. They eventually returned it to us and said they found no fault with the fabric. They did replace the cushion covers as a gesture of goodwill. When I mentioned that we also had a problem with feathers constantly coming out of the cushions, they seemed to know about this fault and provided new cushion covers. If a product is found to be faulty, shouldn't they recall the product rather than wait for you to complain?
The bobbling happened once again with the new cushion covers so we had to complain again. They took the covers in for investigation again and said that the bobbling had nothing to do with them as the bobbles were 100% red/pink (our sofa is grey). This is an absolute lie and I have photographic evidence to prove that the bobbles are at least 90% grey. SofaSofa could not provide photographic evidence to support their view that the bobbles were 100% red/pink. They also said that they had found the bobbles to be 100% red/pink during the first investigation although they didn't say so at the time.
We do not use a throw and it's not as if we all sit on the sofa dressed head-to-toe in red/pink fluffy clothing!
It is infuriating that they are telling a blatant lie. How can they say something is red/pink when it is blatantly grey?
The fabric is faulty and they just won't admit it or do anything about it. The cushions were also faulty.
An awful experience and I would advise anyone to stay away from this company.
This is my second suit from this company, the first suit is about 15 years old and still being used. We have had these sofa's for 30 months and they need to be skipped! There is only my husband and I that use them on a daily basis (so not heavy use) and they are no good at all. We have pillows stuffed in the back cushions and the seat cushions have collapsed and are no longer fit for use. I contacted the company and they said that I can BUY new cushions for the backs and seats !!!! If they had told me at the point of purchase that this suit would last for only 30 months and then we would be buying new cushions we would not have bought it. Well, all I can say to SOFA SOFA is we will not be buying a third suit from them - customer service is none existent and as the word spreads neither will the company!! Shame really as we were so pleased with the first lot of furniture that we had from them. A word to SOFA SOFA when a customer asks for help it might be a good idea to try to help.
If only I had read reviews prior to purchase I may not have been writing this and wasting so much time.

Covers creased and needed lots of adjustments to make fit or look anything other than just plain shabby.
Faulty cover reported to Sofa Sofa. Must have been stiched out of line. Agreed with Sofasofa that the return of said cover and delivery of replacement. Packed up ready for return by courier. Day off work waiting for courier. Courier collected and delivered new packet but would not wait whilst it was checked. Not only was there a new cover but also cushion covers as well. This HAD NOT BEEN AGREED WITH Sofasofa. Tel message on answerphone from Sofa sofa, quite rude asking for me to return cushion covers. Email sent asking for packaging/postage. Packaging sent no return address or postage free labels. Still unresolved situation. I'm not prepared to pay postage or loose a days work because they cant get it right.
I totally regret using this company. Quality of good is only just acceptable and I guess reflects the price you pay. Workmanship very poor. So you get what you pay for. Customer service is at its best very poor and disappointing.

Head office staff - rude, unhelpful. Was not aware we had to write in to get a refund so they sat on our money for 3 weeks. Why was this not made more clear?
I called in - the person who answered the phone asked me what sofa Id ordered? Well it was in our house for 2 mins and was ordered 2 months ago so all I knew was it was a sofa bed. I asked her if she could track my order by postcode or similar - she said there were 6 companies and Id need to tell her which one I had ordered from ? How ridiculous is this!? I logged into the website and there was no order history so that didnt help either. Eventually I was put through to accounts who gave me the email address to send my refund request to - surely the the other person could have told me this or was she just trying her best to be awkward?
Will never use again.
I was recommended SofaSofa from a friend who has bought from them for years. I was apprehensive buying something so important without trying it out first but my friend assured me I could always send it back if I didn't like it. i needn't have been worried as the sofas- two 3 seater sofas from the Hartford range - were delivered in about 3 weeks and are sooo comfortable.
I really liked my experience and have ordered a lot of sofas in my time. A friend recommended the company as she had ordered all her sofas from them.
I have had sofas from all the leading big chains and I feel they are overpriced even with the discounts. Sofa sofa is really cheap but the settes don't look it. Plus we always have issues with deliveries however they delivered our sofa when we weren't at work at 9pm. This means noone had to sit aound waiting for them and having a day off work.
I love the settee and the quality seems great.
