I ordered something in September and like all the other bad reviews on here ive had same experience. something about a flood, something has got to be done I have an official receipt to say what I have paid all I was doing was buying something nice for someone and these rogues have let people down
Ordered a house name sign in September. Received email in October saying item had been dispatched. Has never been received, although money has been taken from credit card. Telephoned numerous times, no answer. Emailed them, no response. Reported the company to Trading Standards. I assume the company has gone bust.
I understand that they have had some flood issues but ordered a £100+ item back in September and I have heard nothing! No call, no email. I then had a confirmation by email that it had been shipped, no sign of the item. I've tried calling but no answer. Whilst I understand that flooding had caused problems, customer service can surely continue.. all you need is a phone and computer. The website could be administered from anywhere as it will be web based admin. Shocking.
When my order didn't arrive I contacted the company to be told that it had been sent and then that they were awaiting an engineer to mend part of their equipment. I drove round to see them as they are not far fom where I live and they were very pleasant and said they were expecting the engineer the next day. That was over a month ago and nothing happened. Later in response to one of my phone calls, when I didn't get the answerphone, they were very pleasant and thanked me for being patient. That was three weeks ago. Since then the phone initially was on answerphone only and then not even that. I drove round today to the workshop and found the company signs have been taken down and the company has disappeared! Do not order from this company.
I ordered my sign on the 31st July and i am still waiting 4 it. It states on web site it will be delivered between 10 and 14 days its now 21 days (3 weeks) and still no sign of it. I have e mailed them with no reply. I have just rang them and apparently they are waiting for the varnish to dry ! My god how long does that take. Now being posted in 3 days time so by time i receive my sign it will be a month since ordering it. Very disappointed as this was a present for my parents. Wish i had shopped around and used a different company. Will not be recommending this company to anyone.
I ordered a Sundial. On delivery to my sister 12 days ago the stone column was found to be broken in two and there were several chips in the stone in other places plus the brass dial was bent. Also there was some blue staining in the on the column in the region of the break.
I reported this damage immediately and got a swift response, it was agreed that the damage was caused by mishandling by the courier although that does not explain the blue staining. I was offered the option of a replacement but opted for a full refund as entitled to under current legislation and was told that my refund would be actioned.
At this time of feedback being requested the matter is still in the process of being resolved, the delay seems to lie with getting the courier to collect the damaged item.
After much research we chose this company. How disappointed we were when it arrived.
Upon opening the package (it was well packaged) there was a rough damaged part of the lower edge of the sign. We had ordered smooth edges so it was certainly not part of the design. The customer services suggested we had ordered rough edges…even if we had we would not expect a finish like it is.
The sign packaging was good so it could not have happened during transit.
We immediately informed the company of the damage. They responded in an email (full of spelling errors ) that they perform extensive quality control checks before goods are released. They further advised that we could send the product back so they could have a look. They also stated that there was always care instructions enclosed in the packing. There was none in the package we received.
We pointed out that they should send a pre paid package. They responded by saying they were a small family firm and could not do this. And to check their terms and conditions! We questioned this again and have not received a reply - this was over a week ago.
The actual sign, besides the damage is what we expected. They have really let themselves down and we would not order again. We have put this purchase down to a bad choice and experience.
The signs we ordered were just as we imagined they would look, had a few positive comments on them already. Delivery was good and the packaging was more than adequate. Would not hesitate to use again or to recommend.
I ordered a set of house signs on the instruction of our midwife as they were concerned that they may not find the house in the middle of the night!
I ordered two oak signs over the weekend and even though it was stated that they could take 10-14 days for delivery asked if I could have them ASAP. I was extremely surprised when they shipped just three working days later!
Our son was safely delivered at home the following weekend and thanks to our new signs everyone found the house in good time!
I purchased a plaque for my new home and was sent the wrong shape, when I emailed to let them know and ask for a replacement I was told to post the wrong one back. We are talking 5kg of solid oak. I mentioned that this was going to be rather expensive, had not even asked for them to pay for return and received a very rude email back. I don't feel I asked for the response I got, and mentioned this in a reply, to which I was basically told to return the sign for a full invoice refund and go shop elsewhere!!!
To be honest, I could not believe the situation - I am now left with a sign I didn't want!! with no form of compensation. I was told if I bought a dress from M&S and got it home and it was faulty would I expect them to pay for my petrol!!!!
Need I say more really, I think there is enough there to say i would not recommend them to anyone!!
