I had the same problems to and had emails from the same person.
The phone is unmanned so is never answered.
I sent email cancellations a recorded delivery letter to them and more emails.
I just this month got my £46 back....its taken me 7weeks tho!
They take the money out altho it doesn't show on your statement because well with me) it was in a holding acc. Then they took it out 6weeks later even tho they said it had been refunded then days later it was refunded!
I even have a fraud complaint on the company going tho and even the bank couldn't stop the money from being taken out!
All this for xen tan! I got it from a ebay in the end..the tanbar. BRILL!

I have found these reviews 6 weeks after placing an order that doesn't arrive and is associated with the same emails giving excuses. I wish I had seen these before I used the company! A lesson learned, I just hope I can get my money back. I have now started the cancellation process and will follow all the advice given by others.

Had the same problem as everyone else. Ordered my goods worth £65 on the 23/12/10 6 months later after at least 2-3 emails being sent every week during that 6 months and sometimes getting a reply with the usual poor excuses she has given everyone else, i decided to get nasty. I sent an email stating letters were being prepared via my solicitor to her I stated Watch Dog will also be informed also Trading Standards and reported to googlemail. I gave her 7 days to send my goods if they wasn't received then as soon as she receives my letter via solicitor she should act swifty and pass it onto her legal team. My goods arrived 3 days later. Guessing I'm one of the lucky ones.
I placed an order for Fake Bake kit on 26/04/2011 for a wedding that i was attending. I received email from company stating 'that once they received the item, they would ship out to me'. I checked the order online and confirmed that they was awaiting stock and would send out to me straight away once in. As the wedding was on 07/05/2011 and i still hadn't received by the 5th i sent email.
Received email back with the usual jargon, saying 'Fake Bake also have no stock, but item has now been received and if i still want my order they will ship out straight away! I cancelled the order on the 5th May and it confirmed that i would receive refund in 3-5 working day. I have still not received the refund or the item and keep getting emails saying 'they are doing there best to get item out'. I have replied but i get no response from her.
It is my understanding that they are not suppose to take funds until item is dispatched. Which is clearer not the case for this company! I will be raising a crime report and contact trading standards, as i am shocked that this company is still doing business and getting away with it.
Ordered my item On :22/03/2011 I purchased Xen Tan from them for the value of £34.77 its now the 24/05/2011 and still haven't received my goods only had one response saying would I like a refund or the items sent out straight away I said either but wanted it done by the end of the week that was 2 weeks ago still no goods and no replay!!
Have contacted trading standers and the Cardiff police so hopefully something will now be done.

I placed 2 orders October 2010 , when it was clear i was not going to receive them a few weeks later I cancelled the order. I did not receive the cancellation notice as detailed in their refund policy and when i chased the refund I received a lot of email from them saying they would send the goods/didnt understand why i had not received etc.. The same then happened when I eventually asked for a refund. This went on for weeks until eventually in Feb 2011 I contacted trading standards and sent them a recorded delivery letter. Nothing has happened as yet and they still continue to ignore my emails .... but I will keep on trying .....
I ordered goods a couple of weeks ago still never received them. Have tried to phone on numerous occasions comes up no number exists.
Don't reply to my e-mails. Have now passed on to my credit card company to try and retrieve the money back hopefully.
How does this company get away with it? it is stealing.

After ordering a triple pack of Eyesential potion for my wife on 11-10-2010 waited the three days No delivery. Then after countless E mails from myself and numerous template replies, the replies stopped. I thought thats it Ive lost £65-00. Then low and behold on sat 7-4-2011 my order arrived. Not bad only 6 months delivery. I only wish I had read the reviews first
I would not reccommend this company. They take your money and send you numerour emails saying the item has just come in stock and they will despatch it, however it never does get despatched. If you keep on at them, by this i mean email everyday and tell them you are in touch with trading standards they will eventually refund you. it took about 3 month to get my refund but i got it in the end. Don't let them get away with it, if you keep on they will rfund your money.
I contacted consumer direct online (via online form on direct.gov.uk) then copied this pack of rogues into the response. Wow - got my product in 1 day after awaiting 9 weeks!
Suggest you do this to a) get your product, but b) make consumer direct aware. It's not fair that you have all been ripped off. Get back at them!

Like so many others I orderd goods, money was taken from my debit card within two days but goods never arrived. After sending e-mail to company was advised product was out of stock but would be back in in a weeks time. Still hadn't received order after 2 weeks. Cancelled order and was advised refund would be processed within 3-5 working days, that was four weeks ago and not received yet. Further e-mails to company were sent with no respone.
Please stay well clear of this company as nothing but rogues.

I ordered some Xen false tan, I e-mailed and said that I hadn't received it and they replied and said that it was out of stock and would i like to wait for stock coming back in.
I said I would wait has I really wanted this item. Well, 3 months later I'm still waitng. I have e-mailed them on numerous occasions and no reply!!
I have now sent them a letter stating my case.....If I do not get a reply or a refund then I will report them to trading standards as I am so angry. If only I ordered this item from a company with a good reputation instead of this Bogus site!!!
I would give this company a minus star status and I would like to emphasise under no circumstances deal with this COMPANY !!!
Not only will you not get your order but they are pretty quick on the uptake to take your cash.

I ordered over £50 worth of tanning products on 18th January, almost three months ago now. Emails back and forth with constant excuses as to why I have not received my product. Was promised on several occasions that my order has been posted but yet I have NEVER received anything and now my emails are being ignored.
I have now reported this company to watchdog, trading standards and my bank who will investigate!!! I do not know how they are getting away with STEALING peoples money!!!!!
People PLEASE do not use this company and report them as much as you can and hopefully they will be stopped!
Two orders have never been received, impossible to contact by phone, just an answer machine telling you to email. Excuses one after the other for non delivery then when you cancel they say refund will be received in 7-14 days but this never happens. How are they allowed to carry on trading, they are a load of thieves
Like many other reviews I paid for the item in January and after several emails and responses from them stating item in stock we will send it out. Still not received over 3 months later!!!!
I have now contacted Consumer Direct to report the company and would suggest all the other unhappy customers do the same, I have even considered driving down to the address to confront the staff although this would cost me more in petrol than the £27 I paid for the item.
Still waiting for my product for which sospecial took the money over a month ago. Wish i had seen these reviews first, would never have shopped here.
Looks like I shall be taking appropriate action If my refund doesnt come through. Buyers beware shop elsewhere!
I hadn't received my order after 3 weeks and a few emails which I had no reply to. Have just cancelled but doubt I'll get a refund after reading these reviews...great! I will definately take this further if do not get my money back, this website needs to be shut down.
I placed an order at the beginning of Feb that has still not arrived and to this day despite trying to contact by phone (only an automated answering machine!) and emails I have had zero response. I have spoke to other shops on the high street at 54 Bute Street & also 2 Station Rd Radyr Cardiff a returns address they use and not one person has heard of So Special. I have definitely been duped out of my £32 and have contacted Trading Standards / Consumer Direct to look into this shady group. Also spoke to visa and they are going to do a fraud investigation. I can't stress enough - DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THEIVES!
This company takes your money and runs. I have had nothing but problems since last August . I have tried and tried to get my goods and also tried to get a refund but have received nothing. I am now going though trading standards. I don't think that I will ever have a refund now but if I can stop just one person ordering from this firm it will be worth it! I wish I read the reviews before I parted with my money. How are they getting away with this? There is not one good review and has anyone ever received their product? After been given the run-around for 3 months, I will be reporting this not sospecial company to watchdog. I do not think I will be seeing my money as my situation is exactly like all reviews! I too placed an order in January, they very quickly took my money from my debit card, but I never received the goods. I sent two messages, but never even received a reply. I then sent another message asking for my money back, surprise surprise I haven't received the money back either.
I will be reporting this compnay to watchdog, and any other company I can find to show them up,and warn others just what sort of company this is.
Please don't anyone go anywhere near this company, they are a disgrace.

I've had a similar experience with sospecial...didn't tell me my order was not in stock, didn't reply to half of my emails, and have not sent me any money back...
If you have paid for your order using your visa debit card, you can ask for a "chargeback".
A chargeback is the return of funds to a consumer, forcibly initiated by the consumer's issuing bank. Specifically, it is the reversal of a prior outbound transfer of funds from a consumer's bank account, line of credit, or credit card.
I have used this and have recieved my money back, all you have to do is request to start the procedure with your bank, and give them details about your encounter with sospecial.
I would recommend anyone that has had trouble with sospecial and still have no refund to do this!
I believe the transaction has to have occured within 90 days though so ring your bank as soon as possible!

i placed an order with these theives in dec2010 and have received nothing but excuses as to why i have not recieved the goods ie, out of stock, high volume xmas sales, bad weather, its on its way, etc i dont expect to get any satisfaction i just want to let as many people know what frausters they are!!!!
I ordered goods from this company a month ago money taken from my account immediately. Told goods would be sent still nothing received. Sick of emailing and getting no response from them. DO NOT ORDER from this company. I am now in the process of reporting them. It wasn't a large amounit is the sheer fact that they ignore you or tell you goods are on their way and they should not be allowed to get away with it.

They took my money on the 28th November, 2 weeks later they admitted they couldn't supply the goods. I asked for a refund. They promised this over and over again but I still haven't received a penny back. I have reported them to consumer direct. Stay clear.

A lady responds to your emails and drags out the whole process and the order never arrives as I have found out
Here are dates and the sort of response you get when asking where the order is. Bear in mind I have been extremely patient with them

after yet another email this time i mentioned taking this further and again another response on 15th of february- I am very sorry I thought the situation with your order had been sorted. I shall find out what happened and if it has not already gone out will ensure the order is sent out
and finally on the 25th of february, yet another email from so special now saying she thougjt the order had gone out to me

I replied informing her that I work from home and have not had the order and i am contacting the daily post newspaper Raw Deal I have now asked for refund and provided them with the order code and reference number
I am now going to give up as I am aware they are a fraud company and will also be reporting them to watchdog and any other agencies I can, I will not be giving up on ensuring this company are tracked down and brught to justice, I have done it before and will now do it to so special
It took me about six weeks but I eventually got my money back

I told the I was going to trading Standard
I did report to Watchdog and tols that also
I also reported them to barclaycard and told them that too
I then threatned to go to the papers and thats when my money reappeared

Ordered on 6th Feb 2011. Money taken immediatley. No delivery after 2 weeks so contacted via phone. Only get answerphone. Emailed and received email from a [name removed](possibly a mystical figure !), asking for more details which I sent. I have heard nothing more despite many emails. Never had a problem shopping online before and wish i had read reviews prior to ordering. Bloody robbers.
I have paid three times for a product I have not received. Tried logging in with a re set password but it doesen't work. Emailed the Company, no response. Clicked the cancel order tab but they have not credited my account. If you teleohone the Company the automated reply tells you to email them your query. It's about time something was done to stop this site from ripping all these people off.
Ordered goods at the beginning of December. Still not received by 18th Dec so cancelled order. They then said order ready to send. I told them I had cancelled it, they confirmed this in email on 20th December and said refund would be in 7 to 14 days. 20 February - still waiting for refund. Rang and emailed numerous times - no reply to phone messages and emails keep saying refund is coming but it never does.

Does not even rate as 1 star, I was taken in by these people, ordered goods never got them emailed no response, as soon as I got my credit card people involved they deceided to email me to say delivery has been arranged, even then they could not keep their word, finally told them to cancel order, got refund on my credit card. Trading standards should be on this case asap
