Quality tailor made caravan cover surpasses expectations

Having seen adverts for specialised cover products and then visiting the web site it was clear this was a company who had absolute confidence in their products. The website was easy to use and the ordering process straightforward. I measured my new caravan well with the aid of the online measuring template.
I paid online, and submitted my measurements. Received an e mail back next day to confirm receipt and adding that the extra measurements for the cover to incorporate a satellite dish had been noted. I was informed my cover would be ready in four weeks.
Exactly a fortnight later received a very friendly call to say my cover was complete and it was delivered two days later at the time stated. Have just returned from my caravan which is in a remote area of Derbyshire. Cover fitted a treat and had a real quality feel to the material and manufacture. Very pleased, lets see if it can handle a Peak District winter!
I have a very good feeling, and the extra I paid for a made to measure cover will prove a worthy investment.
Received several positive comments from other caravan owners on the site I use and had no hesitation in recommending specialised covers to them.

1st rate product

The cover was delivered on time. It was easy to use and fitted the car perfectly.It is very secure and even with high winds did not move at all. It looks great and I would recommend this to anyone that loves their car.

Perfect fit!

Caravan cover was delivered ahead of schedule. Was found to be a perfect fit and looks very good quality. Has received many positive comments from neighbours. It was nice to be able to chose the colour scheme. Would recommend this company.

The cover came and I was like oh no the box looks small :( not another rubbish car cover!! i get sick of getting up in the night rushing out to catch the cover when the wind got up!
So anyway I washed my loop and got my mum to help me unwrap my new cover! Was like Christmas and I was the happiest girl. The cover fitted beautifully, loved the fixings and I like the colours! Fitted like a glove!
I posted a pic to Facebook and Instagram and got over 200 likes!
My Lupo is now safely stored for winter and I don't have to worry about her paint being spoilt! :)
Thanx for making such a great cover! Would recommend you guys to anyone!

Without a doubt the best purchase I have ever made via the Internet

I have never experienced better customer service! I ordered a cover for my MGB GT from 1974, but as I have removed the bumpers, the car is no longer completely original (its actually 5-8 in. shorter now!). Specialised Covers contacted me by email asking for pictures and additional information on the car, and about a week later I got a phonecall telling me that the cover was on its way. Three days later I received the cover at my address in Copenhagen, Denmark.

By the way - the cover fits 100%! :)

Friendly, Helpful Service

This new cover for the caravan, which is for travelling, is excellent and although the package felt very light, it is sturdy, fits perfectly and does an excellent job while in transit.

Great Communication, Great Service, Great Product!

I recently purchaswed the cover for the winter as I didn't have the luxury of a garage. Having washed polished the car before fixing the cover it was then 2.5 weeks of constatnt rain before I had the opportunity on a sunny, dry morning to eventually remove the cover. I was unsure what to expect as the details state that it repels water but allows any condensation to evaporate through from the inside. However on removing said cover it was as it was 2 weks before! Gleaming! So I am delighted with the product & would recommend to anyone looking for a made to measure cover/protection for their car.
Also the communication & level of service was second to none, tuning round the order within a week!

Well packed, supplied with various packing materials to help protect caravan under the cover. The cover itself looks and feels top quality and well made.

Ordered a indoor cover for a Bentley Continental Flying Spur, fits the car like a glove. Great options on colours available and delivery was very prompt a couple of weeks

we reover for received the cover well ahead of schedule. it has now been fitted and we are delighted with the fit and the overall quality. my daughter and son in-law were so impressed they are going to order a cover whilst at the NEC show this week. we can only highly recommend these covers and Specialised covers.

Good product, diabolical customer service.

When I ordered and paid for my caravan cover, I was advised manufacture was 4 - 6 weeks, during which specialised cover would be in regular contact and to arrange a delivery date. After 8 weeks having heard nothing, I contacted specialised covers about my order, and made another 4 phone calls before I was advised they had located my order and it was ready for despatch. I took the day off work to receive and sign for the item as requested. By late afternoon, no delivery, so I contacted specialised covers again, to be advised that the package had been failed to be collected by the courier, but again the company didn't see fit to advise me on this.
Eventually I received the product, and forwarded 3 seperate complaints regarding the poor service and lack of communication from specialised covers. Needless to say none of these complaints were acknowledged.
It was only when I forwarded a complaint directly to the managing director that I received a response, as well as a knee jerk response from his general manager.
When I questioned compensation for the poor service received, the managing director quoted "company policy", and
" numerous variables" outside their control.
What management failed to acknowledge was that the company had certain contractual obligations towards the customer in relation to the order, which they failed to act upon.
My personal impression in dealing with this company is that there is an attitude of apathy amongst it's staff with regards to customer relations, and my experience and grievances would not have arisen, had I been kept informed on progress.
Alas, I would like to think my experience was the exception rather than the rule, but I have my doubts.
This is a good product and a good tailored fit, greatly let down by poor customers service, and I would suggest there are other manufacturer's who could supply covers of equal standard and have a robust customer relations policy.

Further to Miss Fishwick's response dated 12th October, I can confirm I received no communication whatsoever, either by telephone or email from Specialised covers following my initial order, and certainly nothing in relation to my complaint

We admit that your cover was delayed in dispatch and was not sent to you within in our normal delivery time scale. The issues you had with DPD are unfortunately out of our control and we can olny apologise and assure you that your feedback was passed onto them.

However we do not agree with your statement that we have an attitude of apathy amongst our staff. Our staff responded to all your emails and numerous telephone calls which we have logged on our CRM system. As you can see from other customers feedback our customer service is very high and is of the utmost importance to us.

Not as good as we hoped.

Sorry but the tailored product which we bought to stop damage, causes extreme black streaking down the front of the caravan if left on. The 2 seams between the black and grey panels are abrasive and are starting to mark the front windows on my new caravan bought at the end of March this year.

Brilliant !

I received my tailored cover for my Avondale Caravan and was immediatley impressed by the storage bag and how light it was. It was a doddle to put over the caravan and only took myself and my wife about 15 minutes to fit. It is perfect and makes the van look secure, smart, and most of all properly protected. Excellent service and I will have no hesitation to recommend you to any other caravan owners. The only possible improvement could be slightly longer sleeves for the fitting poles.

Excellent quality

Although a long wait for delivery of my caravan cover it was worthwile. Excellent quality and tailored fit when used on my caravan, the material is light and easy to use.
No ingress of water found over the winter and the inside of the caravan showed no damp and mildew, an excellent quality purchase.

Cover yourselves in glory!

An excellent product which fits well without flapping and banging in the wind. Not easy to fit but then I never thought it would be!Could the two rear 'box' seams be velchroed to ease the fitting?

Excellent product I think - rapid delivery, the website billing is confusing as appears to charge 2x £25 for fast track (which I queried by email but apparently it is 50 - just confusing to see as two lots if £25)

Front trowing cover for Swift 645

I've brought front trowing cover for my Swift 645, cover left marks on my beautiful white paint work plus side strip panels don't stay under the straps when traveling on the journey, made fabric worn as panels flap in the wind on the move, very poor design. trowing cover should of been design in one piece not in five sectors.

Overwhelmed with the quality of the cover and the service received

I ordered a fitted indoor cover for a Ferrari 430 and had a distinct specification in mind. I had previously used the company for other vehicles.

The cover arrived and as predicted, the quality was second to none and was an exact match of my requirements.

I have recommended the company to several friends.

Excellent cover and fixings

Although we immediately fitted the new cover we found it extremely difficult to close the door as it was so tight. Now, after a number of weeks and several attempts to firmly close the door flap onto the velcro it has not eased. Seems as though an inch or two extra would solve the problem and we wonder if this is the case with all new covers, as they are supposed to be specific to the make of caravan specified. Even the front grab handles are protruding.

Saved a lot of cleaning over the winter!!

Placed my order online, was quoted a time frame for delivery and got exactly what I wanted well within the time. Have now had the cover a year and it spent 5 months of last winter on my caravan. The caravan was washed and polished before being covered up. The cover fitted like a glove and the only problem I had was that one of the straps was fixed directly over the front wheels, (twin axle), and with the wheel covers in place I had to locate the strap at an angle which then wrinkled some of the side cover. I think the strap should have been stitched on a couple of feet further forward. Over the 5 months there was some water ingress through the seam on the roof panel, but at times we had had some torrential downpours and gale force winds!! But on the whole, when the cover came off the caravan looked as good as it had when the cover went on. At the end of this season the cover will most certainly be going back on!!

Best Car Cover

I have had two previous covers from other suppliers but this one for my BMW X1 is the best. It is easy to put on and fits perfectly and the supplied and fitted 'window' allows my tax disk and parking permit to be displayed.

I’m very sorry to here you have had issues with your universal towing cover. The cover you purchased is designed to fit 99% of caravans on the market and is not our tailored towing cover. We have found that the covers we manufacture are not always wide enough to accommodate all caravans so we have now widened the side straps. If you would like to contact me I will be more than happy to supply you free of charge a replacement set of side straps that are wider. This will prevent the sidepieces from blowing out. I realise you have managed to resolve the issue yourself but let me know if this option would be preferable.

Excellent product - excellent service - excellent delivery

From Norway I ordered a cover for my 911 classic convertible, to be delivered to France to coincide with my holiday this summer. The product was delivered on time in excellent condition. Not to happy

I put my cover on my brand new caravan,set off on a 400mile trip when I took the cover off .My caravan was marked all over the front not good ,had to have it cleaned at a garage.

Excellent product, super service

First contact was via the website ..an excellent product and ecommerce site. I was informed by telephone, text and email when the cover was ready to ship. Customer service staff super helpful and polite. The cover arrived when promised. A couple of days later I took it out to the site where our van is stored and fitted the cover. It fits like a glove, and is clearly very well made from quality materials. I'm especially pleased with just how good a 'custom fit' it is to our van ..door aperture perfect, tv aerial and gas vent perfect too. I'm very very pleased with it. The caravan looks very smart indeed!

The cover that uncovers!!!!!

The cover arrived promptly, the fitting instructions were followed to the letter. 2 miles down the road the offside bottom corner of side panel blew out and the cover was removed so as to continue our journey. Next time managed to get 5 miles with the same result. 2 further attempts were made with the same result, approx 5 miles of motorway. Modified cover fitting additional straps and securing with a bungee under the caravan between the 2 side panels. Managed 10 miles this time and the offside top corner of bottom panel blew out. Decided after dicing with death removing the custom made specialised cover on busy motorway hardshoulders to throw in the towel or should I say cover!!!!!!!! Bad purchase would not recommend.

Great Product

Great product; does what it says. Great understanding service. Ability to design and make bespoke covers. Love the new silver colour. 2nd cover I have ordered and quality has been superb.

Great cover that gets plenty of heads turning.

Service and cover was great.
Only regret is that something has eaten (i think) the wing mirror covers. So i have some holes in it ;-(
Also, can't stop the cats walking over it but at least its well protected.
Rather the cover than the car getting damaged.

Brilliant......

Great quality product and even produced an "under cover" to protect the soft top without any fuss... and then threw it in for the original price.

The best cover you can buy for any caravan.

It is very well made and it fits the caravan like glove.

Product is great, delivery time excellent (having paid extra for priority).

One area to consider for improvement - the web site shows some colour examples and although I acknowledge it is difficult to render colours exactly, I would have been happier if I had been able to construct a picture of my cover in the specific colours I was wanting.

Even if you find the cover you want in Special Covers menu, which is an extensive one and caters for any model out there, you will be contacted and will therefore have a dialogue through the mail with a person at the other end. This is very reasuring and you feel confident and safe that the cover ordered is the right one.
