I had purchased a air hockey table online and they phoned me back telling me that they did not have any instock and a refund would take 5 working days, I explained that I could not wait that long as I need the money to buy a replacement, the sales person showed no interest, I asked to speak to the Director / manager who apparently was not availible but the sales person would get them to call me to sort out a same day transfer, this has not happened and the refund is still not processed.
Michael (my 19 year old at Uni) has just qualified as a sports massage therapist as part of his degree. So, as a 'starving student' he wants to earn a few pounds to help pay his rent and grocery bills - he literally inhales food. So, finding an excellent massage table (at a very reasonable price) on the Sport and Leisure UK website, I ordered it as his Christmas present.
I did get an email to confirm the purchase. While it was nice and friendly, it invited me to call customer services if I had any queries - but didn't include a number. And, while I was told I could track my delivery online, I wasn't given a reference number - or at least not one the courier company website understood.
Anyway, after a whole day of waiting in for the delivery, my other half was getting a bit stir crazy and I phoned (after looking up the number on the website) from work to see where the delivery was. The nice chap on the end of the phone checked for me and told me it should have been delivered between 1-3pm. It was then 5pm. Anyhoo, long story short, it finally arrived at 8pm. Other half not amused having waited in all day - but, table seemed fine. Will have to wait until Christmas to see the reaction, but it looks good to me. Ordering it was great - the delivery, not so much.
Having had sport and leisure recommended to me by a friend , I found the purchase very easy and delivery was made very quickly , with item as described installed and working I will have no hesitation in using sport and leisure again.thank you.
Ordered this treadmill in order to keep fit this winter without having to brave the weather. Took about an hour to unpack and assemble,(Two people would make it easier to assemble but I managed it by myself). It is everything I hoped it would be. It is sturdy and well made. I particularly like the fact you can use the built -in programs, pulse rate indicator and the distance covered all in the handle bar computer. The incline facility is a useful feature. A brilliant product with which I am delighted.
Delivered when I was at work and very sensible driver left with a neighbour thus avoiding hassel of rearranging THANKYOU! Only 3 out of 4 boxes of the trampoline delivered tho, but I emailed and the 4th box delivered the very next day. Terrific response to my email and now trampoline awaiting Christmas day assembly.... Super service to date and would definitely recommend. Happy days! :0)
I was really looking forward to purchasing a treadmill. I viewed a number of websites - most said that their products were self-assembly. I skipped those - I have shoulder injuries that prevent stress of any sort. Sport and Leisure did NOTmention self assembly anywhere on their website, so I assumed the product was delivered fully assembled. Great. Good service - or so I thought.
Two men delivered the item on time - I paid £30 extra for a two-handed delivery so that I did not have to assist with the carrying of the treadmill. The delivery men asked that I complete their form: "Was the item delivered undamaged? Were all the parts there? Did the delivery man take the packaging away?" It intimated that the delivery men would take the treadmill out of the box, assemble it and check that it was all there in good order. The men refused to take the treadmill out of the packaging -" it wasn't their job". Their command of English was at best poor; they could not even read what was on their delivery form. So trying to speak with them was difficult and they were cross. In the end they did unpack the treadmill - did not check the items were there and left me with a treadmill unassembled. I signed but noted their form that they had not completed what was on their delivery form.
I then contacted customer service. Having explained what had happened I asked if there was anywhere on their website that said the treadmill would be delivered unassembled. The answer was, "No, it isn't there but neither do we say it will be delivered to you assembled. It is not our fault - it is yours - you should have asked!" The girl was not unkind and to all intents and purposes was right - but Sports and Leisure should make it clear on their advertising what is included or not - especially assembly of an item that is heavy, cumbersome and involves electrics. I have tried to assemble it - I found the instructions extremely poor and of little help to a lay person. Even the English on the instructions looks like a poor translation. The bar going over the front to which the "computer" is attached would not easily go into its moorings - and when finally I applied brute force one of the screws would not fit properly. I ended up having several screws left over - but it does appear that I followed the instructions correctly. Frustrating! If I had known I would have to assemble this item myself I would have not bought from this company.
Poor show Sports and Leisure - you should check your website to make sure you are giving the right information and do not mislead customers. If you equire a customer to self assemble - say so, AND provide instructions that a lay person can follow - especially when electrical circuits are involved. Safety should be a top priority!
When a customer calls to ask questions it will benefit your business to first of all assume that the customer has a legitimate enquiry - and don't blame them! The treadmill is working - now I am ploughing through very poorly written instructions on how the thing works.
Much cheaper than the local shops and very pleased with the item.

I ordered the couch around 11am and got it the following afternoon, excellent service. The couch itself is an extremely good and strong one, much better than some higher priced ones I've had in the past. A bit on the heavy side though so not easy to carry around. But the brilliant thing is that the knee area of the couch can be raised as well which allows super comfort for client. This is a lovely, wide couch and well made, worth every penny.
For anyone who wants to receive good quality products or decent customer service, do not use Sport and Leisure UK. Heres why:
My wife ordered a massage chair for her business as hers needs replacing. The chair arrived and had a number of issues, primarily the fact that it was poorly constructed and so the seat did not sit squarely on the frame (as well as other issues regarding parts not fitting on correctly) Not wanting to risk the well-being of her customers using the chair, she called Sports and Leisure UK the same day and explained the issues. We were offered a replacement product which we declined as we did not trust that there would not be the same issue again (as many other reviewers on this site have found!) We were asked to take photographs of the problem and email them on to prove the chair was faulty which we duly did. We received a call to say they agreed there appeared to be a problem but they would need an engineer to verify this, so my wife had to wait in for a second time for a courier to arrive to pick the chair up. A few days later we received a call to say the engineer found no issues with the chair and it was user error! My wife has been using exactly the same chair sourced from another company for a number of years and so knows exactly how to put it up. We have asked a number of times for a refund and each time been refused as they claim there is no issue with the chair, despite our photos to prove otherwise. Our options are:
1. Receive the same faulty chair back and pay £24 for the privilege of having it back on top of the original cost
2. Not receive it back, be left without a product and be charged £48 for the cost of the courier having had to pick it up from us!!! The chair only cost £54 in the first place!!
So we have no chair, and no refund which is completely unacceptable. My wife is 8 months pregnant and so I do not want her having the stress of dealing with incompetent customer service reps who have no interest in what the customer wants and who lie about whether managers are in the office. We were told that a manager who sent us an email 5 minutes earlier was not in the office today! However, they will not speak to me as my wife placed the order. I have now had to get the credit card company involved to try and get my money back
My advice to anyone: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Poor quality goods supplied, and then they will refuse to refund your money. Daylight robbery.
Good experience all round - bought a body train treadmill, easy website to use, good price and arrived when expected (arranged directly with carrier) e-mail kept me informed as to where order was up to and who the carrier would be. Treadmill is great. The delivery guy was very pleasant and polite. Thank you
Next day free delivery ! on an exercise bike that was excellent value for money, my husband is a keen cyclist but misses it in the winter (due to weather, Dark nights) and he finds his fitness levels drop ,so I thought I would buy him this for Xmas, he loves it ,and will be able to keep up his fitness throughout the winter months. I bought a Tahiti massage chair this last week. The suppliers I USED to use were selling the same chair for FIVE times the cost of the one I purchased from Sport & Leisure (and the suppliers wanted an arm and a leg in postage too!!!). I am so pleased with the chair, well built, solid and excellent all round. Very quick delivery and kept me up to date with dispatch.
Cannot fault the service and item I have received, have bought a massage table this week!!! Will definitely be buying from these guys again and again (and recommending them to my friends and colleagues too!!!)
I ordered the massage table very late Wednesday and it was delivered by Friday, brilliantly quick.
The table is just as it is shown in the description, foldable, comfy and sturdy. Would recommended this to fellow beauticians and masseuse.
Real problems to get the product delivered despite numerous phone calls and assurances. The staff were pleasant enough it would just have been nice to be told what was happenin grather than being fobbed off. They did finally come through and the product and price are 1st class
Ordered the Body Train Exerciser on 25/10/13, delivered 28/10/13. First used this exerciser at ''Miruji'' Health Spa 3 weeks ago in Shrewsbury. Fabulous exerciser, taking up so little room. What I like about it is that it is so quiet when switched on, and very easy to set up and use.
When I saw the special offer price, wow! Looking forward to losing my excess pounds.

Ordered products for next day delivery. Sgioment delayed. Then within 24 hrs it was suddenly arriving on tuesday. Company completely let me down. As a result had to cancel clients with lisses to my business. Cancelked order abd purchased elsewhere. They harassed me to keep order. Will not do business with this incompetent organisation again
Ordered the couch on wed night and it arrived at lunch time on friday in northern ireland!! Very good value really spongy and comfy to lie on..easy to put up and down.bag included and all accessories.
I ordered a massage bed that appeared on the website as available from 21st October. I order the massage bed on 22nd October with next day delivery but was sent an email saying I would not receive my purchase for another week as it was not yet in store. The website should have been updated more regularly to inform customers such as myself that I could not not order the bed as it was still not in their warehouse.
After complaining to Sport and Leisure UK I then received THREE separate emails from different people at the organisation, one saying that they apologised for the miscommunication on the website and that I could expect to receive it the following Tuesday. The other 2 emails said I should call in at the beginning of the following week to see when the bed would be delivered. Quite contrasting emails and clear that communication at the company is rather poor.
On a positive, the bed has now been delivered albeit a week later than it should have been and it was very reasonably priced with a very informative video on the website detailing how best to set up the massage bed.
Initially I went with this company because not only where they cheap but they were also offering next day delivery.
The first issue came when they delivered the item to a central reception area instead of following my instruction and delivering to my clinic. The meant I have to spend a lot of time of the telephone doing detective work to track down my item. Once I managed to track the item down, I then had to retrieve the item myself.
On opening the item, I found 4 different faults with it, all caused by either poor materials or poor manufacturing.
I contacted the office on the day I discovered the faults and I have still to receive a reply despite it being 4 days ago now.
Very upset and disappointed with the poor quality of items and the poor customer service I received.
We recently ordered a treadmill from Sport and Leisure UK, the build quality of the treadmill was great with the exception of the console which was faulty. We asked for a replacement console to be sent which they did, however, this was in even worse condition than the original console.
We asked for a full refund which we did get, however, if they had sent a fully working console in the first place we wouldn't have had any problems.
Easy website makes browsing simple. The same for ordering, no fuss encountered. Delivery was earlier than estimated and carried out with little fuss or inconvenience. Upon unpacking I realised how sturdy my bike was going to be, thrilled with my purchase and would use Sport and Leisure again in a heartbeat :)
I was looking at the website for Sport and Leisure UK for a massage table. They had a wide range and at brilliant prices. I telephoned for my order and the man was brilliant. He knew exactly what I wanted, he knew the product and accessories, and he was so efficient in processing the order that he managed to get the confirmation emailed to me whilst I was still on the phone! As far as delivery goes, it was perfect, on time and free with no hidden costs. They have a wide range of sports goods and I would always go to them first as they have quality goods, highly competitive prices and a pleasure to deal with.
I received my vibration plate very quickly but 11 screws and washers were missing. I was told it may take a week for me to receive them!! I wasn't happy not being able to use the equipment I had paid for.
Brilliant machine the vibration plate, wonderful delivery ordered and received it in 2 days. Using it everyday for 10-20 minutes and feeling great.Totally recommend this product for anyone wanting to lose weight without hassle of going to the gym or paying those expensive fees to use one of these for 10 minutes in a tanning shop. Best buy you will have. I will be using the power chords too. Very Happy.
