they may be cheap but when they whack you with an humongous bill out of the blue, they insist that you pay according to THEIR terms (even though they could be considered liable for the mess up with the bills for the last year and a half) turns out that they have been taking meter readings, and even though they had the correct readings for over a year, they only just calculated the correct reading and hammered me with a surprise overinflated bill without any warning. They regularly threaten me with court (even though i have paid 80% of the outstanding amount within a few weeks.) as soon as ive cleared my debt im off.
they are bullying thugs who seem only interested in inflicting as much pain as possible upon their customers as possible, whilst making them pay for the privilege. They choose to ignore their own shortcomings and mistakes and instead focus upon squashing their customers under debt until they cannot breathe.

Decent prices and excellent customer service. They do not force increases in monthly direct debit payments like BT/BG who know require a balance to be basically £0 per quarter. Decent service come and join SSE - they are not too bad for a utility company.
Although all utility/banks are rob - dogs looking to squeeze until you bleed. Come the revolution!!!!!!!
Not the cheapest in the North West but never had any problems with bills, payments etc. Staff always helpful and curteous when I have spoken on the phone.
