STRATSTONE NEVER CHANGE

After a 6 six absence from dealing with Stratstone in Cheltenham I had hoped things would have changed. Was desperate to get the New Range Rover so have used ths dealership again. Yet again the service is below poor despite spending nearly £100k on a new car.


ANYONE WISHING TO BUY A CAR, IF YOU WANT A HIGH LEVEL OF SERVICE, MY ADVICE IS, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.

Rude, dissapointed,unhelpfull service centre avoid like the plague!!!!!

We recently booked our new Range Rover in for a service at Stratstone SWANSEA depot over the telephone.
I specifically asked for a courtesy car when making the appointment, I had to wait for 2 weeks to enable us to have a courtesy car. I work full time and had arranged the morning off to take the car for service and collect the courtesy car and return to work.
On my arrival at the service desk I booked the vehicle in and asked for the courtesy car.
The woman replied to me "we have not got a car for you and we got nothing hear" I asked her what am I supposed to do now ? she just smirked and shook her head.
I had driven a round trip of 60 miles was unable to get my car serviced and experienced the true "Landrover Experience"

The worst Experience od my life

I talked my husband into buying me a MINI Cabriolet - he said OK from a Main dealer only for peace of mind, They offered the "Cherished MINI" so we search on the MINI website and came accros a car we liked. from then on it just went down hill. In the end they bought it back - just look what was found 8 days in at another MINI main dealer due to the fact the EML light came on. http://youtu.be/DSdGDRp1sZ0 - Bare in mind this had been given an MOT 8 days prior!!

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased a Freelander 2 from Stratstones Stockton unfortunately the car has had several issues over the three months of owning it with the latter unfixable.

However from the onset they have been nothing but courteous and have went beyond what even I would have expected.
They have provided several courtesy vehicles throughout the process and now are swapping the car for another and whilst this is going on they have provided me with a brand new demonstrator.

Outstanding service and the staff just fabulous including the dealer principal.

Not interested just got the money !!

Bought a car from them, they charged me £270 extra by mistake !! it took them more than a month to refund the money. not answered any queries after sales regarding the warranty or recovery!! rubbish customer service,

Not interested once they've got your money.

After finding faults on a used vehicle that should have been remedied prior to the sale, they made a token attempt to examine them before messing me about, being dishonest (going back on verbal agreements made by the salesman) and hiding behind their "3 month warranty", which isn't worth the paper it's written on. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust them to examine/prepare a car properly, nor to adequately support the customer when a problem arises. After several unanswered phone calls, messages etc. it is obvious they don't want to know unless you're going to get your wallet out again.

If you do manage to get them to have a look at a fault, expect a bodge job and a filthy courtesy car full of food wrappers and other rubbish (despite it being arranged well in advance). I could force them to look at my vehicle again but to be honest, I don't trust them to fix it properly and would rather pay someone who knows what they're doing. Overall, not what I expect of a "premium" dealer and the service is infinitely better elsewhere, so that's where I suggest you take your money. Awful.

Doncaster branch, a rip off and useless, AVOID!!

First off can I just say that the sales staff at the mini branch in Doncaster are very nice especially the one dealing with me BUT that's were it ends!
Found a astra I was very! interested and at the beginning was pretty much certain I was going to buy.
the its self had a bad running noise I wasn't happy with for a 58 plate, but was told they would have a look it and from then on heard no more on what action they were going to take with the car.
I wasn't happy with the lack of communication I got because me personally I like to be kept informed and there was a definite lack from this branch from start to end.
So the ball started rolling in the discussion of payment and info on the car.
I wanted to part ex my car but what I was offered was disgusting even for a part ex so that was a definite no to that so I now had to go through the hassle of selling my old car aswell, dropping the desire for this car slightly
So I put that aside and spoke about the price and finance of the car to the finance manager.
He was quite off putting cold and blunt offering no deal or budge on the the price what so ever and tryed to make me a deal that wasn't a deal at all and wouldn't have any effect what so ever.
To be honest came off the phone to him feeling very disgruntled and annoyed, the will to by this car was now severely damaged after speaking to him,
My personal opinion a course in people skills wouldn't go a miss.
The finance witch was also painfully slow to come back with any answer, but the time i did get a answer i had now made up my mind that I wasn't going to buy this car pretty much through principle,
There for ending there quick and pretty much definite sale.
To add a bit more insult I'm still waiting for the holding money to be put back in my account witch I asked to be returned after saying no to there business mid week last week.
I will never be looking at or investing any of my time stratstones neither will friends of family

Buy Elsewhere

Bought a four year old Jaguar from Stratstone Erdington, i decided for peace of mind to buy from a main dealer a low milage full dealer serviced car, but this morning it dumped the whole of the engine oil onto the road and then seized, i'm sure after six months and 3000 miles this shouldn't be happening, Stratsone's view was i need a new engine and should have taken out a 12 month warranty to cover stuff like this, so not a happy bunny as now have to instruct my solicitors to fight this.

Stratstone Jaguar Lye (Stourbridge) Double standards - no customer loyalty or care.

Bought a brand new Jag XF (GREAT CAR).
Staff at the Lye Dealership were friendly, smiling, warm and approachable when I was buying.
When I had to sell back to them (due to personal circumstances) they were the exact opposite. Cold, unhelpful, rude, and didn't ring back x6. Instead they advised us to go to "their own" website and putt in the car details and we would be given a price. On completion and discussion with Statstone Lye they said "that quote is for an excellent condition car" and went onto say in a particularly Arthur Daly fashion "who can say what excellent means". Needless to say they did not honour the website offer and made an offer far below the website quote. Unfortunately we had to take the offer (no choice).

XF good car - stratstone jaguar lye very poor customer loyalty and care - very dodgy website. BEWARE OF STRATSTONE JAG LYE!!!!

Also contacted Pendragon PLC - what a surprise - no reply!!!!!!!!!!

Rubbish sales staff

Multiple locations in the S.W and Midlands but all had sales staff that did not care one hoot for potential buyers. Drove 120 miles to test drive a car in Solihull - they forgot I was coming. Eventually got 5 mins in the car and decided to take it further. Could not give me p/x on the day but, fine. Eventually called me back 3 days later - when I said the price offered it was a bit low, never heard back. Their loss - bought car for 20% more than I was going for with them 4 days later from an smaller Jag franchise.

Rubbish customer service from Stratstone Jag Manchester

Bought a car (not Jag) off Startstone Jaguar Manchester for the full sticker price last week. Usual sales pitch dished out about the car being prepared/valeted to a very high stahdards of their company before delivery. Came to pick it up a week later - horrified to find dirt caked into grooves and crevices in the interior and exterior of the car. Had been given just a cursory wash and vacuum!! The engine coolant level was below low - tried to explain to me that it is normal in cold conditions whereas the owner's manual says it is not. Could not provide me with evidence of multi-point inspection as promised!!!! If this is the standards of the famous Jag brand they are selling, god help the customers. Have taken photos as proof- fit for a complaint to trading standards

Hopeless - Jag in Aylesbury

Car has been there twice now. Their 'technicians' are seemingly club-clueless, they couldn't even find the service log book on the passenger seat. Car went in in October, similar problem reoccurred a month later.
They lied about the part that was replaced which took 3 days to arrive after many differing excuses.

Customer service a joke

Bought a used car from Stratstone Saab Birmingham just before Christmas ,were fine until I paid then just seem not to be bothered and just wanted to usher me out of showroom as soon as possible, I was told when purchasing from them that missing owners manual and details of warranty would follow in the post ,the dealer closed not long after this but Stratstones were very quick in sending a letter telling me which other of their dealers I could visit to get my car serviced ,repaired etc, but I never recieved the promised items in the post,so I emailed them ,after a couple of days I got a reply saying they would look in to it and asking for further information and stating that their finance manager was at Stratstone Saab that day so would chase it up.
Since then despite several emails to the person who responded to me and via their website I have heard nothing from them at all .
A bit strange since one of the items I was missing was details of an extended warranty that I was looking to take out with them .
I know the car I purchased wasn't a £50k Range Rover or Jaguar (it was only £7000) but surely every customer should be treated fairly.
I will think twice about setting foot in a Stratstone or Evans Halshaw dealership again.
BTW the car I purchased has also developed a fault since purchase it looks like the Dual Mass Flywheel is failing and according to people who I have spoken to this would have been noticeable at a service (which was supposedly done just before I picked up the vehicle)
I have so little faith in Stratstones that I would rather pay to get this fixed myself than bother trying to claim on the 3 month warranty given as I was told this was very basic and didn't cover much and the limit on it was £500 being as the repair will be more than double this i'd rather go elsewhere with my custom.

Arrogant and unprofessional

This experience only relates to Stratstone Jaguar Manchester. I’d never purchased a car off the internet and this one has left me out of pocket and extremely annoyed. Yes things go wrong with used cars (as it did with mine within the first 6 hours) its how these problems are sorted out (or not) that a car dealer is judged and the term ‘epic fail’ springs to mind. Communication from them was non existent and I was left to chase them to be told ‘its only a 7k car, what do you expect?’ , ‘We are really busy’ or ‘We don’t know when we can get the car back to you’ – dreadful experience and an embarrassment to the Stratstone brand.
