I ordered a rowing machine. The order went through as you would expect - i received an order number.
The next day when I spoke to one of the representatives they told me it would be with me the that afternoon (after telling me they had duplicated and cancelled the order) So I waited in and it didn't come.
So it was a day wasted from work, which I HAVE TO PAY FOR!!!
I emailed the next morning and didn't get a response so I rang, they told me the bank had declined payment. I spoke to the bank and they confirmed that they hadn't and it must be a problem with sweatband as I had more than enough in my account and they hadn't stopped it for a fraud check.
So now I am a day's holiday short and no rowing machine. WHen I spoke to Sweatband they couldn't care and blamed it on the bank. Very poor customer service and I will be posting this on every review site I can find as I am out of pocket and incredibly frustrated at their lack of organisation.
Pretty annoyed you have to give at least 1 star to be honest, I wouldn't give any.
I ordered a ZR8 bike 3 1/2 weeks ago, the bike had a few marks on and turned out to be faulty. A replacement was sent and the old one picked up which took them a week to arrange (Had to contact them more than once as after agreeing to organise it on the day I was off work they seemed to 'forgot' and nothing was organised)
Eventually days later the new one came and had lots of marks on it including a deep scratch i forwarded them loads of photos immediately after delivery and we came to the conclusion that as long it it works ok i would accept a £40 partial refund.
This was now 2 weeks ago and since have tried to chase it up 4 times by E-Mail and once by phone and have had the same apologies and the "it will be with you shortly" response. Eventually they gave themselves a deadline by saying it would be with me yesterday, that has now turned into today once i got on at them again, 4pm now and it hasn't entered my account yet, how long does it take to issue a partial refund and fix a problem?!
Not once through the whole process have I been contacted first I have had to chase down every avenue just to get a response on the situation including when they didn't even bother to tell me the delivery of the replacement hadn't been arranged for the day that they agreed with me.
Currently gathering further information on people further up at the company to question as to why there practices are so slow and fruitless, not expected a personal response but hopefully they take note as situations like this shouldn't happen.
The person who goes by the name of [name] who has been dealing with my customer concerns via E-mail has just fed me the same lines for weeks on end about the accounts team not being up to date.
I will not use them again and have family members who have used them on the occasion and will be suggesting they take their custom elsewhere in the future also.
I purchased a ZR8 exercise bike in January for my girlfriend who had suffered a dislocated knee, the bike had 4 months of very light use (once a week 2 miles no resistance) before the drive went and there was no resistance at the pedals. After several emails they finally agreed to replace the item as I wasn't satisfied with a repair on an item which was clearly faulty at the start. The new item had once use for 5 minutes to test it and has now developed a fault where it will only stay on for 3 seconds before turning off. Sweatband are totally oblivious to the Sale of Goods Act and are trying to bully me into having it repaired as they say it is a warranty issue. I feel I will have to take them to court to get my refund even though I have the backing of CAB and Trading Standards.
Excellent customer service, ordered treadmill after 5pm on Wednesday evening. Arrangement for delivery was made via email and phone call Thursday morning. Delivered on Saturday morning as per request. Arrived on time, did not have to wait around all day. Would recommend.
I purchased the Reebok ZR Folding Rowing Machine from the Sweatband website - 24hrs free delivery option, unfortunately the courier part delivered and only the seat rail was received.
Contacted customer services both by phone and email and each time I was treated as a valued customer and the service I received was fantastic. The order arrived promptly within a few days taking into consideration the Easter Bank Holiday period.

I can't remember ever coming across a customer service as good as this company. After having problems with the delivery company loosing my item, Sweatband were fast and efficient at resolving the issue. Even phoning to check everything was ok after I received the item. I was very impressed with this site when I first discovered it - York C302 exercise bike was the cheapest I'd seen online. The delivery service was great too and the item was received very quickly and in one piece. Spent a good while following the assembly instructions to the letter, jumped on it to give it a go - a horrendous grinding/crunching noise and resistance from the pedal unit rendering the item unuseable from the start. The fun then started. Even though my contract of sale is with Sweatband.com, I'm still waiting a week later to be contacted by York who will allegedly, send an engineer to my home to assess it. Lead times for hearing from York are ridiculous - a couple of days for a call back (which still hasn't been received) and then a further wait for a repair date - not happy, considering the item is brand new! I'm still waiting, walking round the big thing and it's packaging, all collecting dust, that is absolutely no use to me whatsoever. I certainly hope that I suffer no further inconvenience to resolve this issue as my patience is most certainly running out. I accept that problems arise all the time with things like this but the true test of any business is how well these problems are resolved. I can make no recommendation for this company as their aftersales service is poor! They've got my money and now it's tough it would seem - I'm a captive audience and they will give me some value for the money I spent with them when they choose.

I ordered 2 rackets from eBay, one arrived a couple of days later but the second racket, sent from London, never arrived. After giving The Royal Mail 12 days to deliver, Jessi and Mike have been in contact with me to try to resolve the issue and have now agreed to replace the racket with a slightly more expensive one without any extra charge. I would definitely shop with them again.
Sweatband were fantastic - I phoned them about one product and ended up with a better deal on a better product. I had a very slight problem once the item arrived where a part had been damaged but this was put right and replaced by the customer support team very quickly and without any hassle. Cannot fault these guys. Many thanks Sweatband - I'll happily recommend you!
Ordered a racket that was temporarily out of stock, but Jessi (customer support) maintained great communication with me notifying me of it's expected arrival & also confirmed when it did arrive. Super-fast delivery too. Would recommend this company to anyone & will definitely be using them again.
Although i had a few problems with my order, the Customer Service i got from Jessi Tang was excellent. She was in constant communication until everything was resolved.
I will definitely use sweatband again because of the Customer Service.
I ordered a Reebok Z9 exercise bike from Sweatband to help with getting back in shape after pregnancy. I ordered via this company because they were the cheapest online and didn't charge extra for delivery. The item was dispatched quickly and when I identified a faulty part they immediately ordered this from the manufacturer and kept in touch with me via email and phone to make sure that I had received this. I can't recommend this company enough (in particular Mike in their support team) and I would also recommend the Z9 as an exercise bike (great value for money).
I purchased a Reebok treadmill from Sweatband. The order process, payment, despatch and delivery went very smoothly. Delivery was very well organised with a two hour time slot. Unfortunately the treadmill didn't work when it arrived. These things happen so I first tried getting in touch with Reebok to resolve the issue. After 7 days I was getting no-where so I contacted Sweatband. Michal and Mike from Sweatband bent over backwards to get my issue resolved. They were in constant touch keeping me updated. Reebok were an absolute nightmare so Sweatband replaced the machine with a Kettler (which they recommended). I am extremely happy with it and I received the price difference as a refund very promptly.
I would definitely recommend buying from Sweatband, lovely people - I have never known customer service like it!

I ordered through Amazon, a pullbouy and kickboard the order arrived before the expected due date 3-5 days and I didn't even pay for postage. Both received in excellent condition,
All I can say is what a great company they are, use them I know I will not hesitate to use them again.
I ordered a tennis racquet from this company, it arrived within two days despite an anticipated 3-5 day delivery estimate. The item was in perfect condition and not a fake, although missing a little shock absorber. I contacted the company saying that it had not come with the shock absorber, they replied within the hour saying that they would be happy to send out a new one, which they did, first class and free of charge. It arrived the next day.

I had bought a Treadmill from Sweatband 4 years ago. Despite it falling out of Warranty, we had experienced some issues with it that we felt were inherent and should still be covered by the manufacturer - York. The way in which Sweatband picked up this issue, dealt with it and found a resultion that exceeded our expectations (a nearly new replacement) was the best single experience of quality customer service that I have been on the reeiving end of. they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish and really did go "that extra mile".
I would not hesitate to use them again.

Very pleased with service from Sweatband. Arrived very quickly.When I opened box one of the plastic feet was broken.No damage on out side of box so must have been done by manufacturers. Contacted sweatband and recieved a new part within a couple of days. The Reebok is very good and a very sturdy design which is what i was looking for.Would recommend it.

I ordered a Reebok Z9 exercise bike which was delivered the next day. However, one of the leg stabiliser stops was broken. When I reported this to the Customer Care team they couldn't have been more helpful. They kept me fully informed of progress with daily phone calls and when it seemed that it may take more than a week to deliver the part, they even considered robbing the part from another bike in the warehouse to send to me. In the end the part arrived quickly. The customer care I received from Mike at Sweatband is without doubt the best I have received from any company. I will certainly be a repeat customer and will definitely recommend Sweatband to others.
Ordered a multi gym and it came within a few days, a small piece was missing and we contacted sweatband who in turn contacted the manufacturer and we received the piece within a couple of days. Really fantastic customer service would definitely order from them again.
Having used Sweatband before and been impressed with the service I ordered a new swimsuit and a pair of goggles. The items arrived within three days but the swimsuit was a size larger than that ordered. My dilemma - do I try it on, after all we try them on in shops having taken the necessary hygiene precautions of not removing all our clothing! I did so and the fit was still OK but was a little large - now what? The following day I received a request from Sweatband to review their service - which I did, stating I had been sent the incorrect size swimsuit. Jessi responded very quickly and checked the order and agreed that the error was theirs, they had sent the incorrect size. As it wasn't possible to return items that had been tried on Jessi has organised for a refund of the cost of my swimsuit - something I hadn't expected and was very generous - thank you! She has warned me the refund could take 30 days so I will keep an eye on this (having read another customers review about refunds) but I'm sure if I have further problems that Jessi will be on the case straight away. I ordered a cross trainer that whilst delivered on time, unfortunately exhibited one or two build quality issues which prevented assembly.
On reporting this to the company they couldnt have done more to assist. I was most impressed by their sympathetic and helpful approach.
All issues were dealt with promptly and a replacement unit is now fully assembled and working efficiently.
As a former National Director of Mission Critical Programmes, I am well aware of how thIngs can go wrong. The trick of course is being able to put things right promptly, without fuss and above all professionally.
Sweatband and their agents exhibited an ability to do just that.

Ordered 3 golf gloves but received totally different from the one advertised. Sent them back, no problem; they acknowledged return, no problem. They acknowledged refund will be issued "within a few days", no problem. PROBLEM; Its now three weeks and still no refund, despite a series of emails. Just not good enough Sweatband.

I have just bought from SWEATBAND and I have had a very good experience, so I thought I would share it because it's what I look for before buying from somewhere.
I would like to praise Maz the owner especially who helped me to reach a informed decision.
If you are lucky enough to get him in the shop, he will explain everything you ask in detail as will JB and the other staff.
What I liked in particular is that where Maz might not know the answer to your question, he will not try to make something up and B.S. but will say he does not know and will try to find out for you.
I went in to to the store twice before I bought my item quite a few hundred pounds worth and I was assured of correct current model not old discontinued stock.
And delivery would be TWO man NOT item left on the pavement, but to the apartment. Any room, any floor(within reason) other companies are charging extra for this. Sweatband include this in their price. And it was delivered as specified.
So buy with confidence.
I was dubious about ordering from Sweatband.com after reading all these reviews on-line, but I couldn't have been happier with my service! Everybody is so quick to moan about any little issue that may arise but you hardly ever hear from the people like myself who recieved an awesome level of service.
I ordered a Nordicktrack treadmill very early on Wednesday morning. The model I ordered was a couple of years old and Sweatband was the only place I could find still selling it. I received a call around 4:30pm on the same day, informing me they did still have 1 of the treadmills that I had ordered in stock but recommended I change my order for the newer model as it had an upgraded, quieter motor and was the direct replacement. I'm sure they had their own reasons for wanting me to change the order but the decision was left up to me. I looked into it on-line whilst he patiently waited on the phone and it turns out it was one of the treadmill I had previously considered and had slightly better reviews then the one I originally ordered.
I was told delivery would be Friday. Again I was still sceptical thanks to the reviews moaning about the delivery but I even received a txt message on the Thursday to advice a 2 hour time bracket in which they would arrive and what's more I then received a phone call on the Friday morning to tell me they were on their and would be with me within 40 mins.
I'm the Director of my own web based electronics company so I know the importance of ensuring a high level of service and I also know how damaging bad feedback can be to a web retailer. These guys seem to be doing something right so order with confidence

I ordered a Reebok Exercise Bike on 8 Jun 2011, now it is 21 Jun 2011 and still not received my item. They promised to deliver it in 2 - 3 days, but failed to do so.
The thing irritates me the most is their customer service, so unprofessional, so disgusting, nasty people. First of all, it is almost impossible to get a response from them, I've sent numerous emails and no reply, called their phone and no one answers, it took me 4 straight days of calling just for me to get through and when I did, the staff showed no interest whatsoever in my enquiries.
I was told that my item was lost in transit/post, how is that even possible, it is a huge bike for crying out loud, He said he'll call me back to keep me updated, he never did, I was the one who kept calling them and could not get through, seriously, try calling them now as you are reading this, see if anyone answers.
They offered me a replacement bike but said they won't ship it until they get a confirmation from their manager, this took up to 2 days just to get a confirmation, they then called me on 20 Jun 2011 around 4pm saying they've got the confirmation and it will be shipped first thing tomorrow morning and as soon as it is shipped they'll give me a call to let me know and also the tracking number. It is 3pm and they have not called, I've tried calling them since morning and no reply, I do not know what is happening with my order.
I've had terrible experiences with other retailers but this one just tops them all, this is my first time writing a bad review about a retailer, Sweatband.com is terrible stay clear and spread the message, I can deal with the delays, it does not matter if my item is delivered in a month, year or century, all I want is honesty and professionalism and keep me up to date on what is happening.
DO NOT BUY FROM SWEATBAND.COM YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Bought 18x4 tennis balls (6 dozen) from these guys.
Ordered on Monday. Phoned to check status that afternoon: they didn't have stock in the warehouse but it would arrive with them on Wednesday. (Always dubious of this kind of thing).
Phone on Thursday to check if they had come in to stock (as I would have to cancel if not) and the girl on the end of the phone told me they had been sent out via next day delivery on Wednesday.
No sooner had I put the phone down than the doorbell went and I had them all with me. Unfortunately two of the tubes had been bent in transit (and so the pressurised seals on the tubes had gone) BUT this is unlikely to be the company's fault and I needed two tubes immediately anyway so I'm not overly concerned.
TL;DR: items arrived on time. Kept promises.
Bought a Nigella Lawson Black cake stand for my wife from this wbesite two days ago. Was very wary of them as all I had received was a plain order confirmation email and no dispatch email. So wasn't sure at all whether it would turn up or not. Lo and behold here it is after 2 days.
Really impressed! Not sure if they would be this efficient with sports goods but after doing a google shopping UK search I found that these were the cheapest place selling this cake stand by about 4 pound. Even cheaper than Amazon! And the item arrived faster than anything I've ever bought off Amazon.

Spent £800 on a cross trainer which to be fair was delivered on time. Unfortunately the polar HRM i was supposed to get was never delivered. I have emailed them 4 times and called them twice. When i called the person knew nothing about the emails (even though i'd had one response saying they would look into it) but promised that i would be called back the same day - needless to say this never happened either. Now they wont answer the phone or respond to my emails.
I dont have any issues with the product they supplied but the lack of CS afterwards means i will never use them again. I would recommend using someone else if you can.
I was reluctant to order from this site after reading some pretty negative reviews, but after speaking to a friend who recently used them I ordered a yoga mat. I was relieved when it arrived with 48 hours. I just wanted to say sometimes you have to take negative reviews with a pinch of salt!
