Cross Trainer delivered the day after order!!

I ordered a Cross Trainer from work, on the Sweatband.com website, at 9.30 pm and it arrived at our house at 10.30pm the next day. A very smooth experience who i will recommend to friends.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Time wasters and liars - I ordered a pair of squash shoes for £45 from them in January 2010. Didn't receive on time so called them a number of times. Every time I was told that my shoes have been sent out on a specific date which was different with every phone call. When I called for the 4th time AFTER 3 WEEKS (!!!) and I heared the same story again I asked for the tracking number. I was then told "oh sorry, I meant they will be sent out today". Requested a refund - yet still no shoes and no money...
Dealt mostly with Matt if anyone's interested.

So far not so good re York X302

.

I ordered a cross-trainer on the 27th Jan. Sweatband e mailed me 28th to contact them to arrange delivery. I did this but they could do nothing as they said their computers were down. I told them that I could take delivery 24/7 and they seemed happy with this. I phoned today 2/2/10 to check on the progress and was told the order had not been dispatched and that I need to speak to someone who was not available and he would call me back. I feel a saga developing I will keep you informed.

Update 16/2/2010 The York X302 arrived 8/2/2010. After buildng it I gave it a quick test and it seemed to work fine. The next day I got prepared for a training session, after about 20 secs of light training something heavy inside the back flywheel broke. I contacted York and sweatband and after several calls sweatband promised to (that day) pass on info York needed before York could organise an engineer to call. After several days I contacted York for an update and guess what (surprise surprise) Sweatband had not passed on the required info. (more phone calls) After speaking to York today I find at last I am at the start of the process of getting my machine repaired. the saga continues........

Never EVER again!

My husband and I ordered a crosstrainer from sweatband. They mess up the delivery 3 times, each time saying they will phone me back or that it is sorted, which they don't and it isn't. Instead of doing their job, they give me the number of the delivery people to call myself. It's the wrong number.
It finally arrives on a day it isn't supposed to. The delivery man informs me they do not take the product upstairs, which is a massive inconvenience as it ways A TON and our flat is on the 3rd floor. We get 2 of our friends to help us take it up. After hours of assembly, we find out it has defective parts.
I call sweatband and they tell me to call the manufacter. I do, many times, and they need to send an entirely new crosstrainer since they don't have spare parts. This means dragging it up and down all the stairs and re-assembling, and I have no assurance that there isn't going to be another defective part.
I would return the stupid thing but after reading these reviews, am totally unsure I will get a refund.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Possibly the best experience i could imagine

Having read some reviews i was a little nervous about spending almost £1000 on Sweatband.com

My concerns we not justified - once i had placed the order, i was called to confirm next day delivery and the products arrived in just over 24hours.

The customer service was great and I was surprised by the quality of the service - not to mention the quick delivery and quality of the DKN vibration trainer that i received.

I would certainly recommend using Sweatband.com and will be buying from them again :)

Awful Customer Services

I ordered a BLACK badminton bag, and a pink one arrives.. After giggles from my wife and girls, I send this back to Sweatband politely requesting the right colour as per my order. Sweatband replied an email quickly to be fair to them saying that they will refund the postage in sending the bag back and a new one will be out of the door in a couple of days.
After a week nothing. I phoned them and they denied even receiving the bag back and accused me of not sending it until I checked the online receipt status via Royal Mail and this quite clearly showed the name of the guy i was speaking to with his scanned signature... Pays to send Signed For! ... Anyway, after stumbling and blaming a rise in returns (I wonder why!), he mentions that i will get my money back a new bag will be issued immediately.
To be fair, again, i received a refund of the postage... as for the bag? Well.. must be stuck in the back of Postman Pat's van, and as for customer services? Never answer the phone, never return messages and certainly do not reply to emails... makes you wonder why i bother over £35 for a bag as i have spent much more than that trying to find out where my bag actually is!!!
Do not use them if you need to send anything back or question customer services... they are AWFUL - shame i could not choose 0 stars.. 1 star makes them look much better than they really are...
6 weeks on... still no phone call, email or bag.... Think that Postman Pat's red van is stuck in the snow abondoned somewhere...

IN A SWEAT

Sweatband.com is a poor e-commerce experience in my opinion. I ordered two squash rackets. I got one after waiting 8 days. Three weeks later and two phone calls, still waiting for the second. They say, lost in post. Fair enough. The problem is, there is no communication. No way of tracking transactions on-line, a basic requirement these days. No emails to say when items have been dispatched. Sweatband should look at how professionals run their websites, such as Play.com. Treat the 48-hour delivery service with a pinch of salt. My advice is to go to the store if you can, or use another company. There is no substitute for the old-fashioned shop - here's the money, thanks for the goods. So, still no second racket!

Sweatband.com - If you want to lose money & have a lot of time to waste shop with them

I purchased a treadmill where I was told that there was no problem in returning if not happy. Customer service excellent before purchase. After I received the treadmill it was far too heavy to lift & as I wanted to move it to the upstairs bedroom & would need at least four strong men, it was just not possible to move so I cancelled the order on 4th Oct 2009 by sendiing an email. I made sure that I did not open the box as I wanted to ensure that I did not incur packaging charges. As there was no response to several of my emails I phoned & spoke to customer service and it was arranged that their courier would collect on 12th Oct which they did.

I spoke to customer service on 19th Oct to confirm refund and was informed that I would get full refund before the next Wednesday and item was checked & found to be fine. Spoke to Manager on 30th Oct as did not get refund. Manager said he was personally arranging immediate refund on my card. Spoke to Manager on 3rd Nov as no refund...promised again. Phoned again on 6th Nov in morning & promised immediate refund. Got a call at around 6 pm saying that threadmill was still with their couriers so could not give refund yet. I asked them why they strung me along continuously saying that it had been received and checked and each time that a refund was being arranged and was not given any explanation. Was told I should get refund some time next week.

On taking legal advice was informed to give them 3 days to make payment as they were over the 30 day distance selling time period for returning the money of which £699 was what I was owed. Sent email on 9th Nov giving them 3 days to return money otherwise I would start legal proceedings. Sent another email on 12th Nov stating after today will start proceedings. Received phone call at end of day saying they arranged payment. I asked for email confirmation & found they had deducted £70.72 which was never agreed and further conned me adding insult to injury. I phoned them up but they said that was what was agreed when it never was.

Fast and professional service.

I ordered a Reebok treadmill from this site, it was easy to order and the treadmill was delivered within the time stated and in perfect condition. I will use this site again :)

No response to my returned item

I had to return a faulty product I received from them. They then decided not to communicate. When I did manage to call them, they kept promising to get back to me, which never happened. I have now asked for a refund, hope they are decent enough to do that. I'm probably going to make an official complaint against them as I think they are scamming people out of their money. Avoid at all cost.

Sweatband.com rubbish customer service

This company delivered my product quickly but when I needed to return the item it was a completely different ball game. They acknowledged receipt of my return but 5 weeks later and I have still not heard from them. No refund has been offered, they do not respond to emails and there is only an answer machine when I call which they do not respond to. Not recommended!

Zero Customer Service. Simply Terrible.

I ordered a badminton racket on the 15th March 2009. One month and 3 emails later I still have no racket and also no response either.
This company simply do not answer your emails.
I would recommend that you save yourself the bother and shop elsewhere.
