Sent away for goods...did not arrive.No contact phone number to ring,no answer to numerous e-mails,NON-EXISTENT customer service,and worse ...NO REFUND! Do not use under ANY circumstances! Theft / Fraud /Appalling attitude ...Why-oh-why take the risk? Apt name for company - they are a "Swiss" ... and you are a "tool" for using them!" Only giving a star for the sheer bloody nerve of them!
I sent them 5 emails and a letter with proof of purchase (email confirmation). Have not heard back, I have lost £40 which I paid for 2 Zippo lighters, ordered 2 months ago. If I do receive the lighters I will edit this post. I have no idea how to go about retrieving my money, but will find out.
This is my second purchase from swisstool.co.uk. I ordered a customized swiss army knife for the christmas and it arrived on time as I expected. I got a very good service and can't comment about the other reviews here. They offer the best price and printing service that I couldn't find anywhere else. Thanks.
I have tried to contact SwissTool via their website - the only contact information I can find - to try to return a SwissChamp given as a present and replace with the twice as expensive Leatherman Wave or Surge. Four emails and nearly a month later and I still haven't heard from them. All I want to do is arrange to return the product and pay the difference for the more expensive product - a bit like the way every other mail order company works. But unfortunately, for some reason, these chaps don't seem too keen to talk to me. If there is one thing I can't stand, it's bad service - really poor!
Like a lot of people I read the reviews after I bought a Swiss SD classic with personalisation and was shocked. However, I received a dispatch email the day after so I'm waiting to see how things go. I will update when I receive my item or if anything else happens.

So I received the Black Swiss army knife Classic SD on the 27/01/2014. All in all I'm pleased with the service as I did not encounter any issues. The personalisation is great, it's perfectly in line and is straight (some of my concerns), it doesn't look like it's going to come off any time soon although I would of preferred it if the writing was more centred, as it's slightly lower than half way down the housing. The packaging was great and it came in a small box with a black with red inside (maybe faux) leather pouch/case which looks great on my keyring.
However, I did have my concerns about things going wrong with all the people saying that customer support was practically non-existent so cannot give my 100% recommendation which is why I chose not to give 5 stars.Like someone previously said, people won't usually come to these sites and leave reviews unless they had a bad experience, so the overall bad score may be due to that and not because Swisstool.co.uk is actually a bad company.
I ordered a knife and pouch for a Christmas present. the knife arrived, but the pouch didn't. I have emailed and used their message form on the website several times. all to no avail. After sales service is none existent. No phone number, no answer to emails/messages. Should have read reviews before placing my order. Put it down to experience and never use them again, certainly will not recommend anyone to use them either. Might just as well through my money down the drain.
Ordered two personalised knives which did arrive very quickly. The personalised names where not as shown on the website example so I wanted to return them to be corrected. Despite numerous attempts to contact them I got no reply. As they were Christmas presents it got too close to Christmas to do anything so I have had to accept them as they are.
We ordered late on Friday and were concerned when on Monday we had no order confirmation. I emailed and got no reply.
However saying that our order came today (Wednesday) in the post well packaged, so only 3 working days on the 2nd class post option. So very happy with product and delivery. Just need to sort order confirmation and letting customers know what is going on. Giving a company phone number on website would help.
I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PRODUCT APPARENTLY POSTED 1ST CLASS NEARLY A WEEK AGO. I ALSO PAID FOR EXPRESS DELIVERY. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS SERVICE OR PRODUCT YET THEY HAVE TAKEN MY MONEY. THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING TO MY EMAILS. I WOULD BE CAREFUL BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. I received the wrong product and e mailed. Thought I had no response so added a low rating, however their e mail had gone to my junk mail, they have assured me the replacement has been sent out.
Like many I'd ordered without reading the reviews..I wouldn't have if I'd have read if Im honest. However the product arrived within a reasonable time at an excellent cost. I've just ordered again and would recommend. Their customer service didn't seem great in replying to emails....but my emails were along the lines of "I've read the reviews, please don't let me down!"
I read these reviews after I ordered a Swiss Army Knife on Monday 28th of October 2013. I bought it as a gift for my step son who is going away to Australia for a year on Monday 4th of November. I also asked for it to be personally engraved on both sides.
When I read these reviews my heart sank. Today, Wednesday the 30th of October, the Swiss Army Knife arrived, exactly as I had ordered it. I did pay the extra for the express delivery.
I am so happy with my purchase and how quick I got it. I am not a fake reviewer ,so anyone is free to ask me about my purchase (email@example.com). Well done Swiss Tool, but if I could add a suggestion....make sure people have a way to contact you, easily!

Recently ordered 3 knives with different engravings. When I realised I'd made a mistake with the dates I looked for a contact number - there wasn't one - I searched the net and found this site and was then seriously concerned by the negative reviews. I emailed the changed engraving and crossed my fingers... All 3 knives were delivered within 3 days well packaged with the correct ammended engraving - so I can only say they delivered a great service in my experience..
As with other people on this site, I placed the order, they took the money, and nothing arrived. I have tried contacting on many occasions but no response. This is a fraud - if only I'd seen this site before I placed the order.
I recently bought a SwissChamp pen knife from this company with personalisation. I then found these highly concerning reviews which made me feel that I'd made a big mistake. However happily I found the company sent my item within 48 hours and received my item today 3 days after dispatch. The knife was carefully packaged and the engraving was perfect. I am very pleased with Swisstool and feel the negative reviews all stem from the company having had closed early this year and the catch up which was required. I do not feel it is fair to accuse this company of fraud or stealing, I simply feel the company needs some serious re-organisation according to other reviews.
Overall I would purchase from this company again. However it is important to chase them up if the order is not dispatch promptly.
I ordered a zippo lighter for my boyfriends birthday on the 28th march and chose the 1-3 working delivery. its now the 16th of April , so 20 days later and my delievery has not even been dispatched yet, i find it disgracefull that i have paid extra to make sure it is here on time and it hasnt even been dispatched yet! worse still there is no way of contacting them to find out whats going on. Never have i ordered something with such terrible service!
Like everyone on here was a little worried about so so so so so many bad reviews.
I made an order on Wednesday night after 8 and then looks at these reviews - still I took hope from the few good reviews. I used the number (mobile) that was on these forums and call him up Thursday morning as I meant to pay next day delivery as needed these knifes as a gifts for someone leaving the county.
I rang about 5 times with no answer so decided to send an email via the website (in fact I sent two asking to upgrade my delivery) - about an hour or so later I had a missed call from the same number I found on here (I though it was going to be someone asking why I had called 5 times ;)) turns out it was the guy from SwissTool.co.uk - I explained the situation and said he would send them next day for me - he asked for my order number and then read me back my details, all was correct so I payed the extra and got send an updated order, 2 hours later got a dispatched email from him.
At 11 am this morning both knives turned up at my door as expected.
I know a lot of people have had a really bad experience but mine was good so just wanted to let you all know.
The only down side that they should fix put a number on the website and really make an effort to answer people or email them back ( I did not need an replay to my email as he rang me back) - I am guessing this is a part time thing but just a guess.
Also I can confirm SwissTool is a official reseller - I emailed Victorinox and they confirmed this for me. Happy to post the email.
So in summery I am Happy Happy Happy and I am going to buy another one from him next moth :)
Having myself made an order with this company and then later found these reviews. I thought I would pass on my experience.
I ordered a knife with them on Sunday ( 10th March 2013) evening. This order included personalisation. Having completed the order, I then changed my mind and wanted some extra personalisation. So, I sent them a message via the website. Come Monday morning I had had no response so I tried calling. So to my horror I find the lack of telephone number and of course these reviews. At this point I also sent an email to the sender (from one of the confirmation emails) to try and confirm they had received the change in personalisation. These emails bounced back, and I guess the message via the website suffered the same fate.
The knife arrived on the following Thursday. An acceptable time for the second class delivery I selected. However the extra personalisation was absent.
Hi I have used these guys a couple of times in the past always found the service and prices great. This included shipping to Australia - when I got my last shipment a week or so after ordering. I was going to order some things end of last year and saw the 'temporarily closed/closed' messages, so did not order. Maybe there were some issues just at that time? I see those messages are gone now. Would be great to get some reviews from this year or even better some explanation from swisstool.co.uk. I am wary now - As I need to order some more stuff!!
