Like many I'd ordered without reading the reviews..I wouldn't have if I'd have read if Im honest. However the product arrived within a reasonable time at an excellent cost. I've just ordered again and would recommend. Their customer service didn't seem great in replying to emails....but my emails were along the lines of "I've read the reviews, please don't let me down!"
I read these reviews after I ordered a Swiss Army Knife on Monday 28th of October 2013. I bought it as a gift for my step son who is going away to Australia for a year on Monday 4th of November. I also asked for it to be personally engraved on both sides.
When I read these reviews my heart sank. Today, Wednesday the 30th of October, the Swiss Army Knife arrived, exactly as I had ordered it. I did pay the extra for the express delivery.
I am so happy with my purchase and how quick I got it. I am not a fake reviewer ,so anyone is free to ask me about my purchase (email@example.com). Well done Swiss Tool, but if I could add a suggestion....make sure people have a way to contact you, easily!
Overall delighted with my purchase with www.swisstool.co.uk
Recently ordered 3 knives with different engravings. When I realised I'd made a mistake with the dates I looked for a contact number - there wasn't one - I searched the net and found this site and was then seriously concerned by the negative reviews. I emailed the changed engraving and crossed my fingers... All 3 knives were delivered within 3 days well packaged with the correct ammended engraving - so I can only say they delivered a great service in my experience..
I recently bought a SwissChamp pen knife from this company with personalisation. I then found these highly concerning reviews which made me feel that I'd made a big mistake. However happily I found the company sent my item within 48 hours and received my item today 3 days after dispatch. The knife was carefully packaged and the engraving was perfect. I am very pleased with Swisstool and feel the negative reviews all stem from the company having had closed early this year and the catch up which was required. I do not feel it is fair to accuse this company of fraud or stealing, I simply feel the company needs some serious re-organisation according to other reviews.
Overall I would purchase from this company again. However it is important to chase them up if the order is not dispatch promptly.
I ordered a zippo lighter for my boyfriends birthday on the 28th march and chose the 1-3 working delivery. its now the 16th of April , so 20 days later and my delievery has not even been dispatched yet, i find it disgracefull that i have paid extra to make sure it is here on time and it hasnt even been dispatched yet! worse still there is no way of contacting them to find out whats going on. Never have i ordered something with such terrible service!
Like everyone on here was a little worried about so so so so so many bad reviews.
I made an order on Wednesday night after 8 and then looks at these reviews - still I took hope from the few good reviews. I used the number (mobile) that was on these forums and call him up Thursday morning as I meant to pay next day delivery as needed these knifes as a gifts for someone leaving the county.
I rang about 5 times with no answer so decided to send an email via the website (in fact I sent two asking to upgrade my delivery) - about an hour or so later I had a missed call from the same number I found on here (I though it was going to be someone asking why I had called 5 times ;)) turns out it was the guy from SwissTool.co.uk - I explained the situation and said he would send them next day for me - he asked for my order number and then read me back my details, all was correct so I payed the extra and got send an updated order, 2 hours later got a dispatched email from him.
At 11 am this morning both knives turned up at my door as expected.
I know a lot of people have had a really bad experience but mine was good so just wanted to let you all know.
The only down side that they should fix put a number on the website and really make an effort to answer people or email them back ( I did not need an replay to my email as he rang me back) - I am guessing this is a part time thing but just a guess.
Also I can confirm SwissTool is a official reseller - I emailed Victorinox and they confirmed this for me. Happy to post the email.
So in summery I am Happy Happy Happy and I am going to buy another one from him next moth :)
Having myself made an order with this company and then later found these reviews. I thought I would pass on my experience.
I ordered a knife with them on Sunday ( 10th March 2013) evening. This order included personalisation. Having completed the order, I then changed my mind and wanted some extra personalisation. So, I sent them a message via the website. Come Monday morning I had had no response so I tried calling. So to my horror I find the lack of telephone number and of course these reviews. At this point I also sent an email to the sender (from one of the confirmation emails) to try and confirm they had received the change in personalisation. These emails bounced back, and I guess the message via the website suffered the same fate.
The knife arrived on the following Thursday. An acceptable time for the second class delivery I selected. However the extra personalisation was absent.
I have used these guys a couple of times in the past always found the service and prices great. This included shipping to Australia - when I got my last shipment a week or so after ordering.
I was going to order some things end of last year and saw the 'temporarily closed/closed' messages, so did not order.
Maybe there were some issues just at that time? I see those messages are gone now. Would be great to get some reviews from this year or even better some explanation from swisstool.co.uk. I am wary now - As I need to order some more stuff!!
I ordered a personalised knife from them a few months ago. I was extremely pleased with the knife when it arrived. It was perfectly engraved.
I wouldn't have normally ordered from this company as I don't find their prices to be particularly competitive but the company I normally use had no stock.
I placed my order and the money was taken immediately and the status of the order on their website changed to ordered. I was not concerened at first as I had allowed plenty of time for the order to arrive as it was for a family birthday present.
After about two weeks I had received nothing and looked on the website for a phone number but there isn't one which worried me. I then saw the reviews on this website which obviously worried me! I found a telephone number on this website in an old review. There was no answer so I left a message requesting a delivery date. The knife arrived the next day. The owner did phone me back as I left a message to say thank you. I explained that it would be helpful to give customers a delivery timescale and a landline and business address. He said that this would happen but that was six months ago and nothing has.
I have noticed in the past that the website closes for weeks at a time which seems strange. He has, however been in business for many years and I assume that he would not be allowed to continue trading for so long if there were problems.
Perhaps people who have had a bad experience are more likely to post reviews. I believe that the owners can comment on the reviews given so why has he never done so?
I think that he may not hold stock and may need to gather a few orders to place together to ensure a good price from his supplier.
I think that if you have ordered you will receive your knife eventually.
I wouldn't order from them again as I would rather pay a little more and order from a reliable source with a telephone number that is answered and not have the stress of waiting.
In future I will check this site and look for telephone numbers.
I ordered an item for my father as a Christmas present, and like the rest of you, only read these reviews after ordering!
After contacting the number given on this website several times, with no answer or response I contacted Nationwide to make a claim.
Strangely, after contacting Nationwide I received an email from swisstool saying that they had FINALLY processed my order.
I received my order today, and excitedly presented it to my dad, to which he asked 'who's Ben Neary?'.
It seems I have received someone else's personalised order. So I'm guessing myself and Ben are both unhappy with this company.
Same as below, I read bad reviews about Swisstool uk and got worried but I must say I'm very happy with them. I got a Mountaineer Blossoms, authentic Victorinox knife and limited edition cover I could not find anywhere else. Some comments may have been hasty. They said on their website that they had to close for personal circumstances in Nov / December 2012. They recently reopened (although not updated their website yet) and sent me my order from last month pretty quickly. So I would say, give them a chance!
I ordered a swisstool, 1 handed forester and leather pouch on the 8th January and have just received exactly that via international registered delivery.
The only stressful part of the transaction was reading the reviews on this page which I have to say seem a little alarmist! I suspect that some people haven't had the curtesy to update their original comments, or have yet to do so.
Good price and reasonable service, considering. Am about to order a swisstool +
I have linked this review to facebook to prove its authenticity.
My company used to rent the offices that Swisstool give as their HQ. We left some 6 years ago. I get a lot of calls asking if we're anything to do with them. Can I just say at this point that Network Security Associates Ltd and Digifor Ltd. have no connection with Swisstool whatsoever. This is the info that I send out to people who contact me, I hope it helps
Steve Lewer, Director, NS Associates Ltd.
The Letting agents for the office who would have details of current tenants were Johnson Fellows, Birmingham; They deal (or dealt) with all of the Tesco's leases (Tesco were the holders of the head lease)
My contacts there were Angela Meisterics ; she may be a good place to start (She managed the lease) or Andrew Rowson, he was a surveyor

I ordered a Swiss Army Knife as a surprise for my husband after his old one was stolen when our car was broken into. The money was taken from my credit card the same day but the knife has never been sent. Despite sending a number of emails to SwissTool I have had no reply.
Having seen so many similar reviews of the company on here I have filed an Action Fraud report. I guess there's a lot of us who can kiss our money goodbye!
If this has happened to you report it via the Action Fraud website - it's the only way to stop these bogus companies. You can remain anonymous if you wish by calling their helpline.
I have just received an email from SwissTool saying that they have been closed since 24th Nov due to unforeseen circumstances and asking if I would still like the order to be sent or if I would like a refund. As the money has already been paid to them I asked for the order to be sent by 18th Jan. I'll update again if/when it actually arrives.
UPDATE 7 January 2013
I sent the following email to firstname.lastname@example.org - I strongly urge everyone else (and any new person with a grievance) to to the same.
I would like to bring to your attention an Internet Trading Company called Swisstool which allegedly operates from an address in Southampton.
I, and many others (please look at this site for further references - http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.swisstool.co.uk ) have placed orders with this company via their website. The money was deducted immediately from my bank account, but the delivery of the goods has not happened.
The Swisstool website does not publish any telephone numbers or email addresses, and the automated “contact us” system does not produce any responses.
The address that is given on the site is:
349-353 Shirley Road
I have contacted their supplier (Burton-McCall ) and received this telephone number – 02380 528257 but it is never answered. I have left messages.
I have discovered through checking Companies House that the Director is a Mr Hamid Moosavi with (allegedly) a mobile telephone of 07966 137310 – this is also never answered.
I have opened a Fraud Report online:
National Crime Reference Number: NFRC130100122872
I am currently awaiting a call back from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, and I about to send a letter to the Swisstool address given above.
I would be grateful to know what, in circumstances such as these, the Trading Standards body can do to:
1. Ensure that companies who behave in this manner are brought to task
2. Ensure that the citizens of the UK are not subject to these kinds of apparent fraudulent dealings.
Won't bore with details - same as everyone else.
Waited a month and today, courtesy of the kind person who left the telephone number (below) for Action Fraud, I found the Action Fraud web site (www.actionfraud.police.uk) and completed a report.
I doubt if I will ever see my goods or my money - so if you are reviewing prior to buying THEN DON'T BUY.
If, like me, you have arrived at this site because you have already been "had" - then I'm afraid you need to be prepared to write off whatever you spent, and go and buy elsewhere if you can afford.
EVERYONE - please please PLEASE create an Action Fraud report. The more who do so, the more likelihood there is of these criminals being caught.

I ordered a penknife for my wife for Christmas from this site on the 11th December, plenty of time you would think for their standard 5-7 day delivery. Still nothing has been received. Tried to contact them via their website, nothing. No phone number to contact. I have just raised a chargeback with my card provider as goods have not been received withing the stated time frame. I would urge anyone who has purchased and not received their goods to do the same, your card provider will give you a refund. Happy to reverse this if the pen-knife is received.
This company gives no phone number. FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN CONNED, CONTACT ACTION FRAUD ON 03001232040 !NOW!
There was no contact number-just an address for Tesco Express
PLEASE CALL THE NUMBER FOR ACTION FRAUD NOW.
WE MUST DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO STOP THESE SCUMBAGS - who could be anywhere in the world. CALL NUMBER ABOVE !NOW!
I have read some of the reviews on here and most say "didnt send out item but took money and said they were closed due to an emergency."
And surprise, surprise...they are closed AGAIN!!!
At first they said they would be open on December 1st so i ordered my swiss army knife thinking i had plenty of time. A week later they had updated there notices saying they were closed until further notice! However they had managed to take the money out of my bank straight away!
Disgusting treatment.....beware of scam site. Read other reviews too. Wish i had been on here to start with!!!!
I placed an order for a penknife which was going to be a present for my son's birthday. Placed the order on 19.11.2012. Money was taken immediately but still no goods delivered by today 11.12.12. Have complained to my credit card company, written to Swisstool, and now tweeted about them. Tomorrow if I haven't heard from Swisstool I will be complaining to the police and reporting them for theft.
Please do not order from this comany as it is complete fraud.
I didnt realise at the time of ordering as they are the first up on google and state they are a leading supplier of swiss tools. Silly me.
Two weeks later and the family emergency STILL continuing (huge company, surely someone would be in the office) I started to get suspicious.
In hindsight they have no phone number, reply to NO emails. Their address is a tesco express. Every person seems to have had the same issue with them.
All i can say is that I am absolutely devestated as this was my boyfriends Christmas present and lets face it, it isnt going to turn up.

I ordered a swiss army knife with engraving 2 weeks ago on Monday for my husband for Christmas, and it says that it queued, and now they saying that they are closed, if i had seen this, i would not of ordered the knife.
I wish that i seen the reviews first! I will always check reviews of websites i do not know before ordering!
I have just recieved my item, on the 13/12/12, but i took 2 weeks to send it!
I will never use this website again, i have learnt my lesson, always reviews for unknown website!

Nuff said, consider myself lucky to get 1 knife out of 2 ordered judging by what others
have said , surely this is illegal? what about Trading Standards Office ? I suggest that
all customers ring the number listed on another review as I finally got through and lo and behold the 2nd knife finally arrived!!!!

I ordered a personalised knife back in June 2012 for a friends birthday. Didn't turn up in time for their birthday so I went to email the company a couple of weeks later but there was a notification saying they were unable to process orders until October as the company was closed until then. Was annoyed that this hadn't been made clear before ordering and taking the money out of my account (which they did immediately) but hey ho.
Waited until mid October and still no knife, emailed, no reply. Emailed 2 weeks ago, no reply. Emailed 2 days ago, no reply.
Took my money, no delivery of goods, no responses, unable to get money back. They are frauds and scammers, don't go there. If I could do 0 tars I would.

The knife I ordered has eventually arrived, but it took nearly two weeks. Most of the time the website was showing order status as 'queued'. Having read large number of negative reviews (unfortunately only after placing the order) I was getting concerned, emailed the company, never received a reply, tried hard to find their phone number, but no luck. As said, the knife eventually arrived, looks genuine and was slightly cheaper than elsewhere but it was not worth the stress. Would not use this company again.
Lesson learned - read company reviews before shopping online!
Basically agreeing with everyone else here, ordered a swiss army knife on the thursday (before 2pm), paid 7 odd pound for 'next day delivery' including the £50 for the knife its self! waited in friday.. nothing. emailed them that same day and got a poxy automated email saying there had been a dely, replied and got another automated email saying the exact same. so now its monday and i was waiting to ring them up (its obvious you cant get in touch) and now im worried after seeing all these reviews.. what a joke!
i have well and truly learnt my lesson, always check a site for the correct contact details!!
I bought a knife with an engraving for my friends birthday. I ordered it on Monday and paid for 1st class insured post thinking it should definitely get to me by Saturday ( The night of my friends birthday ) I received an automated email on the Thursday saying that it had been despatched. I waited in all day Saturday and it didn't arrive. I sent them a polite email asking for the tracking number so I could locate it. Got no reply. Monday and still no knife. I sent them another email as by this time I had seen all the reviews on here and started to get worried. Again, no reply. I received the knife today and find it highly unlikely that they despatched it on the day they said. I know Royal mail can be a bit iffy sometimes but I have never had to wait a week for 1st class insured. If they simply emailed me back with the tracking number and an apology I wouldn't have felt the need to come on here to warn other people. A lesson to learn - Never buy from a website which doesn't have a phone number to ring, and check this site for reviews first. I will never again buy from this site.
Personally, I think that they either hold very little stock or no stock. They take a load of peoples orders, take the money straight away and wait until they have enough money to place a big order with their supplier thus making it cheaper for them to buy ( I'm a purchaser for a chemical company, I know the in's and outs) . What other reason would it be why so so many people are having to wait weeks and months for their orders? Or they only send out the orders for people who complain and threaten legal action hoping there will be a percentage of people who don't complain so that they can keep their money without losing stock. I'm one of the lucky ones who received their order 10 days after placing the order ( Missing my friends birthday ) If you have any sense, don't risk placing an order with this company, only order from reputable companies who have a customer service department and a phone number.
For those people who have placed an order and received no goods and no replies to email I would suggest you start a claim through the small claims court. Swiss Tool are part of the Maybe Group Ltd which I've checked on companies house and it's all legit. Get the address off of companies house and start a claim. In their terms and conditions it states that they will respond to any query within 5 days. If you have waited more than 5 days for a response and still haven't received your goods by the specified time then they are in breach of their Ts&Cs giving you a strong case for the small claims court. You can then also claim back other costs such as recorded letters and your own time.
I placed an order with this ?company on 6th April and today is the 20th and I still have not received my order.
I have emailed them again and again and no response. I think this website may be a con.
Thank you to the person for listing the number - I phoned that and surprise surprise went straight to answerphone but at least I now have a means of contact.
I will give them another three days and if i donot have my item in my hand I will be contacting trading standards. This level of customer service is disgusting and I would say to people do not bother. They took my money quickly enough.
I would be understanding if they responded to emails or called me back. I understand about delays and lost postage but no communicaton its totally unacceptable.
This is now about the principal technically this is conning scam as they take the money and do not disptach the product.
I expect my item within the next three days and I feel that is reasonable. I do not care if they have to send it at their expense.
OK Basically I ordered the item on 19/3/2012, it was small, the 3x tweezers/toothpick pack. £2.95, standard delivery.
I started getting worried this Monday (26th March) because it still hadn't arrived. Nor on Tuesday. I was expecting it today. It still wasn't here, so I looked on this site, went 'holy c**p I've been conned'..
Then I rang the number, asked if it was 'owner of swisstool.co.uk' (wasn't going to rage at him without knowing)
And he politely told me that my product had been despatched this Monday (26th)
So overall, it's not great that the product was only despatched a week after ordering, however, I am happy as long as it arrives. Which should be tomorrow or Friday.
So, if you are going to buy from him, either use the most expensive delivery/first class, or if you use 2nd class, give him a call on the number somewhere on this page, he should tell you if it's been despatched/whatnot, and calm your worries (hopefully)
Same saga as others - ordered a small knife £9.95 Oct'11 cost taken from card 4 days later
Did not arrive so chased by emails - no response, by telephone - no reply & by recorded delivery letters - surprise, surprise - no response
Approached Consumer Direct & followed their recommendations, more rec/del letters etc - still nothing !
Reported to Tradind Standards Lambeth who contacted the Company direct & still nothing
T/S Lambeth gave new address in Southampton so wrote to Company there & still kept phoning
Reported to T/S Southampton who contacted me saying they cannot chase an indididual case, however they had been in touch with the Company & a refund had been made !!!!!!!!!
Sure enough in Feb'12 money returned to a/c
I have spent more on rec/del letters etc than the cost of the knife but at least I got my refund
I don't think this is 'fraud' just absolute inefficiency & complete lack of any customer care - but it ain't worth the hassle
If you need to contact try -

Good Luck !
When my order had not arrived after 7 days I e-mailed twice, no responce. Thanks to this site I had the phone number, spoke to chap who had my order to hand, said they had been closed for February?
Any way received goods day after calling, strange way to run a business, good prices but they will not survive unless they get to grips with customer complaints.
My son ordered an item for xmas, item received was smaller than anticipated, I returned the item on 16th december, had to email this company 9 times and text and phone calls, I have only just received the refund into my account on 7th February, terrible after sales would definitely NOT be ordering from here again, way too much hassel and has probably cost me more in phone calls and texts etc - Cannot believe that they have had my money in their account for nearly 3 months, and only after perisistant emails etc did they return the funds to my account. DONT BOTHER ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSELL
ordered on christmas so did expect a bit of a delay, a month on i text the number that was left below simply saying get my order sent out and get your act together, a minute later a very polite man phoned back and is now helping find out the problem, will never order from here again the only reason the 1 staris there is due to the man helping out.
Where do I begin? We've previously ordered from this company with no hassle, however that was before. We placed an order the 25th of November 2011, for three products, two engraved, for Christmas presents. The money was taken promptly and without fault, all 85 pounds or $175 NZ dollars (our location), of it. As of the 23rd of January 2012, we've emailed, gotten angry, begged, pleaded in desperation, yet no response to any of the five e-mails we've sent. We've tried the number mentioned here with no success. All we want is our products or money back. We will try again, later in the day, later in the week, hoping and praying for a response and result. As it stands I would advise SERIOUS CAUTION in trading with this company, maybe we will be able to contact Swisstool and reach a solution. I'll let you know and change my rating and opinion of the company if I can get a solution. Any further advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
