I had a bit of a faff on with these guys, I ordered on christmas eve so I was aware there would be postal issues with it being the holidays, but having chosen express delivery I worked out id get it by nye, which is when it was needed for a present. I recieved something I bought from asos on christmas eve before nye so I didnt see why there was a reason I couldnt have got the knife I ordered. I then found this website and got very worried, but rang the number as soon as i did. The man who answered was helpful, although I think it was a bit too conveinient that he said they'd only just re opened today and he was dealing with my order now. He said he was sorry I hadnt recieved it and that he'd send it with next day delivery... which i was then charged for. Oh yes and I'd also been charged twice for the same item. I rang up and he blamed me saying Id ordered it twice... if that was the case he should have sent me two? Anyway he refunded me eventually anyway. Far too much stress to deal with, wont be using the website again but it gets 2 stars because he did deal with me and also it was holiday season.
I placed an order with this company in late September and received the product promptly. For reasons that are not really relevant I wanted to return the knife for a refund or exchange to an alternate model. This is where the issues began. I was unable to follow their returns policy or even view it as this page of the website was, and still is, unavailable. I therefore packaged the product back up and wrote a letter explaining the reasons for return, order reference, address etc. and attached this to the parcel. This was on the 10th of October - and I am still awaiting a refund or alternative product. I have used their contact page on three occasions with no reply at all. Having read the other reviews I will try the provided mobile number (thanks) but on the basis of the above would not recommend this company.
Having read some of the earlier reviews I placed my order with a bit of trepidation......and requested priority delivery for a bit of "insurance" - even though the knife was for my father's Christmas present.

As a keen shopper over the internet this is the most prompt service I have ever recieved.
I placed an order. It contained one item which needed to be back ordered, money was taken, and (I suspect) the order got forgotten.
When I found the mobile number of the owner on this forum, I recieved my order (with one replacement item) the next day. If you are thinking of using this site, (the goods are cheap) then call 07966137310 if your order is delayed, and as others have found, you shouldn't have a problem. The person who answered the phone was polite and helpful, hence 2 stars. He claimed to be updating the site, which has e-mail problems. I suggested an e-mail address and phone number. I would probably not bother using them again until they are there.
The alternative explanation is that ONLY very simple orders are fulfilled, anything requiring work isn't and only those who take the trouble to find the number to call, or otherwise complain are served - the unfulfilled orders being added to the margin of business.
Up to you to decide which is which, but I suggest using Hanlon's Razor.
Late on Friday night (19th Aug 2011) I ordered a swiss champ knife, with priority engraving. I am pleased to report that the knife arrived today, Wednesday (24th Aug 2011) - signed delivery as requested and the engraving and knife are perfectly received. Considering the order wouldnt have gone through until Monday (22nd August), the knife has been engraved and posted very quickly.
I would like to say, that after i had placed my order, i realised to my horror, that i had asked for too many letters to be engraved, on the side i had requested. I soon realised there was no contact telephone number on the website and i came across this site in my search for a telephone number. I wasnt feeling great after reading these! On saturday, I called the mobile number specified in previous reviews and left a message that the engraving on my order is too long and would need to be placed on the back of the knife and not the front as i had ordered. After reading these reviews, i didnt think i was ever going to receive the birthday present i had ordered anyway....
I called the mobile number again on Monday. The call was answered immediately and as soon as i said my name, the man knew why i was calling and told me that the engraving had already been done and flipped to the back, as per my voice mail! I was told the knife would be posted and would arrive with me Wed/Thur - its Wednesday and i received it today! The chap I spoke to was very professional and informative and didnt seem to mind at all that i had called him.
The only reason why i havent given a rating of 5 is because there isnt a contact phone number on the website and i think its always important to be able to speak to someone when youre thinking of, or have bought something online. If there was a contact number, i wouldnt have worried unnecessarily over the weekend as i wouldnt have found this site!!
Some have suggested that the good reviews on this site have been written by swisstool employees. I would like to state that i am in no way related to, or have any connection with swisstool, other than by purchasing my husbands birthday present from them, which he will love.

I too have placed an order with this company. The money was taken within a day of the order having been placed. That was on the 14th/15th July. As yet I have still not received my order. The company web site has no contact number listed and emails are not replyed to. I have tried to contact the mobile number list on this site, however it just goes to an Orange answer phone.
Should I receive my order I will up date this review, but until then my advise would be DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER.
I managed to get through on the mobile number (07966137310) and even without telling them who I was he knew straight away and that he was just in the process of reading my email and replying. Well belive that if you will. However he explained that the item that I had ordered had been out of stock, but has just been received and would be packaged up and sent out today. I should receive my order by the weekend. I will update if or when I receive it,

I received my package today, all knives and beautiful engraving.
I was proactive after reading this forum and rang them a few days after I ordered to check on it. After I explained that one of the knives was for a birthday present, they sent it priority mail to ensure it was here in time.
I do recommend giving them a call on the number listed bellow if you get no response via email. But they certainly came through. Thankyou swisstool!
I read these reviews after I placed the order... otherwise, i think i wouldn't have ordered at all.
But then, i got worried, would it be a scam???
No it wasn't, they delivered the goods to the Netherlands in 7 workdays.
They didn't react to any of my mails, wich felt a bit disturbing, nor was the statusupdate switched to send/dispatched/shipped, wich wasn't really making me less worried.
Conclusion, they do deliver, even within a reasonable time, but don't react to mails.
Ordered two items, both listed as "in stock". After 7 days the order was dispatched (and arrived soon after). No reply to my inquiry about the oder being shown as "queued" for a week.
On the plus side, the goods arrived. On the minus side I wasn't left with a good feeling about the business:

After reading the many many posts about this company I must say I was determined to contact the company owner : Hamid Moosavi. After a wee bit of digging I found his mobile number: 07966137310. Mr Moosavi answered the phone and I regaled him with my concerns about my order based on what I had read in previous posts. He said he would phone me back in 1 hour.... he did indeed phone me back. I did inform him that I had contacted fair trading and watch dog regarding his previous track record and this was based on more than 150 complaints that I have read on various posts. I must say that Mr Moosavi insisted that there was nothing to worry about and that he had, in the past, some technical hitches with his internet site including email problems. He also informed me that he had already sent my order the day before and he promptly gave me the tracking order. My items turned up the following week, were well packed and in excellent condition. I am pleased to have received them as they were a birthday gift from my wife.
However, I must say that I am not totally comfortable with my experience and would never again order anything from his website. My advice is if you experience problems with your order phone Mr Moosavie on the number above (if he retains this) and have a chat to him. Second suggestion is if you wish to purchase any of the items sold on swisstool.co.uk give it a miss and buy from Amazon, they guarantee all orders and are a totally reliable website who I must say have cheaper versions of most things Mr Moosavie sells.
I ordered an engraved knife and the item was delivered to my home but I wasnt here so it was sent back to sender. I've tried looking for a telephone number to contact them but there is no such number! So the item was sent back to them but it was never returned back to me and I would have gladly paid for shipping again. I've emailed them 5 different times with no response. I have no idea how to get them to respond and I just want my damn knife! So Im out 45 quid. What else am I left with to do? Worst experience with a company EVER!
I ordered a Swiss Army Knife as a leaving present (for someone who has now left!) and never received the item. I sent 8 emails to the company and never received a single response. The service is unacceptable. I have contacted my credit card company to open a dispute and hope to get my money back. I will also be reporting this to the supplier and Trading Standards.

I have just found this website after I too was looking for a phone number for Swisstool. I ordered a Swiss champ engraved knife just before Christmas for my boyfriend. Whilst I did receive it on time, I have been charged for it twice i.e. ~£100 has been taken as opposed to ~£50. I have emailed twice about it and had no response. I am extremely dissapointed by Swisstool's service and will not be using them again. I will try to contact Hamid but I dont hold much hope in getting my money back from Swisstool!!!

Swiss tool. Why did I bother. Admittedly the products arrived with no fuss, but I needed to exchange one of my items. I have had no response at all from this guy and after reading the reviews I would be very surprised if I do. Please prove me wrong! The fact that there is no contact number on the site should have been a big warning to me. Please do not trade with this site. I have contacted Victorinox to see if they can help me and I have also sent them the link to this review site suggesting they consider if they should really have him as a uk supplier.
It would seem alot of people are not happy with Swisstool. My wife ordered a knife as a Christmas gift then I read the reviews so suspecetd we would have alot of trouble.
Product was great - just as ordered. Even though ahe had asked it to be sent second class Swisstoll upgraded it to Recorded Delivery without being asked ensuring it arrived before the 25th December.
I would recommend it and use it again. It is true, however, they do not have a contact telephone number - SwissTool please take note. You could get rid of most of your bad reviews if it was possible to speak to human being. If SwissTool have changed Ownership they should publish the fact on their WebSite
If still concerned pay bt Credit Card and have product sent by Recorded Delivery - any issues credit card would have to refund.
After patiently waiting 6 weeks for the item that I had paid for, I attempted to contact the company to see if there was a manufacturing problem. No reply, after several emails via their own website and from my own email, all without a reply, as well as no reply to a postal enquiry, whilst searching for a phone number to call them directly I found this site. I emailed them again (including the email for Hamid from this website) including excerpts from their own policies including their promise to reply to communication efficiently, again to no avail. but my threats to pursue the matter with trading standards etc and citing this website, must have had an effect, after just over 2 months i received the item, but no other communication was ever received. i was after a specific item which i had only foiund on their site, so if you must buy from them, definitely use a credit card so you are protected.
I suspect the positive reviews posted on this site are from the company itself so do not trust them.
Ordered product on 16/11/10 and my order arrived 18/11/10. Unfortunately wrong item was sent. Contacted by email but got no reply - started to panic a bit after then reading all the negative reviews. Used phone no posted by one of the other buyers and was able to contact Hamid straight away. He had already sent out the replacement item with a stamped addressed envelope to return the wrong one. Replacement item arrived by recorded post the following day. So overall very good service - the problem seems to be that the company are just no good at replying to emails, but if you contact them direct by phone the service is fine.
i ordered a product over 2 weeks ago and the status is still queued. i have sent 3 or 4 emails to them and have received no reply. My account however was charged immediately. i spent almost £50 and am worried my product won't come.
However i might also add that another order i made did go through fine and was as stated on the website. As mentioned in a previous review i may just be that the company is poorly run.
That however is still no excuse for the lack of communication bewteen the company and the consumers as many people have experienced.

I ordered and received three products, Classic Alox silver, A black belt pouch and a swiss card all in best shape and condition as expected. I have no complaints and think this is a legitimate website.
This is the third time that I have ordered from Swiss Tool. My last order was placed last Thursday for a Swiss Champ knife, my name to be engraved and a black leather pouch to keep my knife in. Very pleased to say that all my items arrived this morning. I had read the reviews on here, and feel very sorry for the people that have been left with nothing, I must admit that I very nearly did not order at all, it was only because I paid with Visa that I knew that if anything went wrong I would get my money back.
I hope the problems of the past have been resolved as I certainly have no grounds for complaint.
I did not have any problems with this company at all. I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, so I paid by credit card and paid the extra for insured 1st Class post just encase. My Friend had used the company twice before and also had no complaints with the service or the product. I ordered the product on the Monday it was dispatched on Wednesday and received Thursday. I received a billing invoice on receipt of payment and another email when the product was dispatched. The penknife was engraved and looks great. The only reason I have knocked off is star is due to the other bad reviews. Maybe it was a quiet time for them, so they were able to handle the orders. It is definitely a real company.
Had no problem with this company, placed my order then found this review site while looking for a contact number to change my order. I emailed the company and somebody phoned me back within 20 minutes to change my order. When I arrived at work today my package was waiting for me on my desk.

I contacted him and he seems a very nice guy so I dont know why his service is so bad sometimes after all Bruton Mcall have been dealing with him for some time and he is running a genuine company. Unfortuneately my daughter placed an order with swiss tool and despite several attemts to contact them they have not responded, I have threatened them with action if they did not respond and have so far heard nothing. I have contacted Trading Standards in Wandsworth (0845 040506) and they were very helpful explaining on my next course of action. we paid by VISA debit and are in the process of reclaiming our money. I like many others are unfortunate not to have read the reviews before ordering and i need to know how to contact google to get them deleted from their search. I hate being riped off like it seem s many of you have so I will continue to do as much as I can to stop other people suffering the same fate. Nick

I ordered 7 swiss army knives for the Ushers, Dads and bestman for our wedding at the cost of £144. At first contact was great.Helpful and eager to please.
Then The goods didn't arrive when they said. I contacted the company and they assured me they would make another order and claim back the insurance on the first order from the post office. Since then I have heard nothing. No response to my 7 emails, which started off nice but the last one I sent I told them I would report them to trading standards and take the action further. Still nothing. I have now been in touch with my bank's fraud department as I feel that is exactly what it is. We are on a tight budget for the wedding and now tight time frame (ordered them 5 weeks ago) and they have stolen my money. If I do not get a refund or products I am also thinking of reporting it to the Police and getting a crime number. My bank is fairly postive that I will get my money back as luckily I paid by visa debit but it will take a long time and I cannot afford to order more presents until that time.
I don't understand why I was getting replies after an hour at first and now nothing.

I think if you have paid by visa or visa debit you will receive your money back eventually.
Trading standards do have a website where you can give information about a scam or fraud. I suggest those people unhappy do this as well.
Phil another unhappy customer contact me with the details of the supplier and found that they were not very happy about the reviews that they have been getting. I contacted the company on Friday to let them know that I have received no products from their dealer and got a phone call today with excuses of emails being blocked etc. However they have said they are rushing an order through ( I don't call 5 weeks rushing!) and that they will be with me on thursday so we shall see. It certainly seems like they do not want to annoy their supplier any more.

Therefore I would suggest if you haven't received your order that you go through the supplier for the goods that you've ordered as they have a better way of getting in touch with him!

That aside Im having the same problem, I ordered my product on the 30th of january, it was confirmed and payed for the next day and has been "queued" ever since
I just sent my last email to them detailing how ive spoken to TS and will definatley be tkaing legal action.

I have had the same experience as most of the other people who have posted on this site - ordered and paid for 3 knives, engraved as gifts for Ushers at my wedding. No goods delivered, no answers to emails. I am considering contacting watchdog.
UPDATE - I recieved my goods this morning via recorded delivery and I cannot fault the quality of the items, however the quality of service leaves a lot to be desired! I did contact watchdog to report my experiences and I would suggest that letting the vendor know that you intend to do so may help you to get your goods.
I will certainly not be using swisstool again.
Have not received my products ordered, been going on several months, no response to e-mails or letters, these people cannot be contacted by telephone. Trading Standards are now involved but I doubt I will ever get my money back.

Update - (May 2010) - one year on and after recently talking to the Victorinox UK distributor I received a telephone call from the owner of SwissTool and a subsequent refund into my bank account.
A similar experience to other users - product did not arrive and no contact from the company despite sending several emails. No phone number to contact them on.
If you paid on visa debit talk to your bank about the new 'visa debit chargeback scheme' - after 30 days if the product has not arrived you can get your money back even if you paid on a debit card. This is a relatively new scheme so if your bank says they haven't heard of it ask to speak to the disputes team or a manager. I'm going through this process at the moment and my bank are confident I'll get my money back.
