The Adviser I spoke to today could not have been more helpful.

If the service provided by TalkTalk continues as well as it has started I should have no problem. However the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Time will tell.

what a shambles !!!

Talk talk cancelled my service with them 9 times before they had even set it up. I received 9 letters to tell me it waa cancelled and each time I had the expense of calling them up and had to go through the whole sale again. I knew the questions better than they did !! Terrible service. No one ever called me back when they said they would and they were hard to understand. Good luck with them !

3 weeks to have my new phone and broadline fitted!

just signed up to a new phoneline and broadband from Talk Talk and find out its going to be 3 weeks before an engineer can come out. Not what I expected!

Truly terrible service.

The on line live chat personnel terminated the conversation on me when when I was enquiring when I should expect to receive the on line voucher or whether I would still be eligible for it. They also did not offer any clarity on the matter and were extremely vague and evasive when asked questions. The website also seems riddled with 'techinical errors' when trying to purchase the tv essentials package and 'my account'.

No Fuss - No Hassel

I loved how simple & easy it was to find the product I wanted & to be able to order it direct online.
I also like the way you don't try & hide costs in your adverts - it was very clear on what I would pay each month & the date range for installation is excellent.

AWFUL!!!!!!!!! Never again

I spent 90 minutes on the phone yesterday, trying to arrange a simple home move (so i thought). We started off with the home move telling me that they couldn't set up the home move because i required a credit check (what???? why???) so they passed me on to payments team who told me that home move can't be arrange until i have made 3 direct debit payments (i haven't made any because the talktalk messed up the last home move and gave me credit on my account which has been used to pay my monthly bills). So i need to make 3 direct debit payments even though i have to move in a week??? That is just downright stupid! so passed on to customer services who said it was easy to fix (just need to remove the credit check) back to home move team again and again they can't help me. So i went through this 3 times and then called the complaints team (this time in the UK instead of India) the girl was nice and then without fixing anything put me through to home move without explaining anything to them. Back to payments team and then back to customer service i went! By this time i was in tears and so finally got to speak to a manager who promised that he will cancel my contract and waive the cancellation fee but just needs to put me through to the loyalty team that will do it for me. And then i got put through to HOME MOVE again! she kept asking me whether i wanted to arrange a house move instead of cancelling because she had a different system that would allow her to do it. OVER MY DEAD BODY am i ever using talk talk again! only a threat of a complaint to UK regulators, plus telling them the the call was recorded on my side as well did i manage to get anything. AWFUL!!!!

No internet for 5 days - When I was connected it kept dropping anyway!

Been a talktalk customer for a while as I thought the speed and service would be alright. However in reality the connection is a pile of poo. For the past week the connection has been dropping constantly and now I have got no connection at all.

We reported this to them directly after a couple of days and they said there's nothing wrong with the line. The technical support people think you are stupid when you call them treating you like an child even though I have worked professionally in computing for over 5 years so I know what I am doing. We had already checked all the usual checks like internal cabling, different micro filters, line checks everything.

The earliest they could send an engineer to investigate would be on the 13th May which is almost three weeks. I am sorry but that is completely unacceptable.

I would definitely avoid these if you want a decent connection

Disgusting

I placed orders online, fab, really easy!received a text to say it had been cancelled, not even a phone call...strange being called talk talk and they don't even talk!

Rung up and replaced order got told to ring another department to book appointment for the same day. I rung them and got told without the landline phone number they couldn't do anything and to wait for my welcome pack.another 2weeks later and still no welcome pack so I have rung up again to query and was on hold for another 20 minutes being passed from department to department and kept being told that they couldn't locate an order!

Sod it I have gone else where.over a month of waiting well they can jog on ...never known such horrendous service.

Now I just need someone to find my order so that I can cancel it!!!!!!!

Very quick and totally painless

You know, I wanted to use those idiots at newcall but they coouldn't even sort out a simple fault that stopped me getting any internet! I have been with them a month and still nothing! I should've gone with talk talk in the first place, the order process is so much easier than newcall and totally painless! I'm now gonna set up an order for my friend.

Loud background noise!

The person that I spoke to was obviously in a busy office with very little sound damping. Whilst her English was good it was not always easy to grasp the details, which was important when giving/receiving account details.
Other than that, fine.

Refunded my Monthly DD Payment Then Slammed with £138 Early Termination Fee

Back in February I moved my phone & broadband over to another provider. Three weeks ago I noticed that my broadband was still active with TalkTalk and contacted them with regards to this. Spoke to a woman in their customer services dept and she confirmed that hey had received notification from my new provider on the 4th March and she would refund my monthly direct debit payment that they had taken out and would confirm everything in a letter. End of I thought... unfortunately not!!.. I have today spent the last hour on the phone to TalkTalk business customer services with regards to a debt of £138.00 apparently an early termination fee that they have now decided to tell me about and is now in the hands of a debt collector. How can they possible issue a refund and then say you are now in debt to the sum of £138.00 that I was not informed off when I spoke to customer services early March. Overall the service they provided me with over the last 18 months has been poor...constant broadband downtime which they failed to rectify and they admitted that there were issues on the line. Whenever I have had issues they have failed to correct it, even giving the BT engineer wrong address details when I had broadtime downtime for over a week. Very, Very poor provider and very poor communication from customer service. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR PROVIDER TO TALKTALK...ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!!!
