Always a bargain to be found at Target. I just wish they'd stop copying American artists and having their designs made in China, for less of course.
I have been shopping with Target on a regular basis since my kids were babies, they are now 13 & 16. There range of products is perfect for any household, but in particular if you have children or buy for children.
Company has come a long way offering price value this past year. Brands and pricing are excellent as are the sales offered. In the food section some of their private label is lacking in taste and priced comparable to name brands so no incentive to buy.
I was first introduced to Target in Virginia back in the 90's and I held my breathe waiting for them to arrive. I'm so happy they are down the street, around the corner, on my way home from work. I enjoy their brands, their selection, their food corner, their layout and keep shopping there.
Love the products but the website is really kind of slow to get around.. Needs to be organized a little better.
I ordered a guitar for my child hoping to have it in time for Christmas. The site said I would get it in plenty of time as did the confirmation email. Not only did it not arrive it never shipped on time. Once we got it, it was great, but poor service on the shipping end.
Their site is easy to use. I order from them quite a bit. I have always had good service. The one time I returned an item I received a refund in 5 days. No problems at all.
Online purchases were quick easy and they answer emails for your questions almost immediatly! Found so high priced brandnames for half price, how can you beat that?
I love getting the online Target catalogues every week as I dont get them delivered at my house living in a country town .This way I can easily flick through and see if there is something in particular that I want and can go back and look through again anytime .Its really convenient
Ordered a duvet cover at a really great price. It arrived before the expected shipping date. Couldn't be happier with my purchace.
I didn't want to go to the store to shop. I found everything I needed at target.com. within a few days i had my order and the shipping cost was not too bad.
Love the Target deals, but I don't love the organization of the site. If a dress comes in 3 colors, why do I need to search for each entry separately? Why can't I see all options at once? Makes it a bit frustrating to navigate, but the prices do make it worth it...
Once a year I have to try online shopping at Target to remember why I try to avoid it. Terrible experience every time.
A few years ago, I held a gift drive for a charity and used Target for the online wish list/registry. It was a nightmare. Some items were delivered, others were not. S&H was overpriced. Some were back-ordered but I wasn't notified - so some gifts took 3-6 months to fill. So I scratched Target off the charity drive list & switched to Amazon with no regrets whatsoever.
Recently, I made an online order for some tops from Target - the shirts were poorly sized (about 2 sizes too small), so I returned them & got a pain-in-the-@ss e-giftcard as a refund. When you pay with paypal, they will not refund your paypal account - this is indicated on the site, in very small easy to overlook typeface.
I called customer service a few times - each time, I had a poor, static-filled phone connection & spoke with someone with poor English. For example, I had to spell my first name (Carol) four times. I was disconnected by them twice. They read from a script & did not use "American" phrases. Clearly Target has downgraded their call center operations to save $$$.
So I went online & decided to spend my $60 egift card to order some basic toiletries, so I could be done with Target. It took me almost an hour -- first, it wouldn't accept my login/password & that took 3 calls to customer service & a password change. Then it wouldn't accept my egift card number about 5-6 times, so I had to keep trying to plug it in over & over again - this took another 2 calls to customer service. All in all, the transaction took about an hour.
There's a big red banner on their site advertising free shipping. This is misleading - it's only for target credit card holders. My shipping & handling was a whopping $15 for less than $60 of product - so it adds 25% to my order. Macy's, Zappos & other companies offer free S&H so I will definitely visit other sites for my online shopping next time around.
The functionality and overall user experience of the site is poor. When you put your mouse over the shopping cart visual, other drop-downs appear & it takes a couple tries to get into your shopping cart. When you do a search & check off the "online" sorting options, it doesn't sort properly - so you often get lists of items that are not available online. My screen kept freezing- I had to reinsert the payment information several times - time consuming & frustrating.
In fact, their online product offerings are limited. I wanted to order a bunch of holiday gifts & other items, and discovered that most of them were only available in the store. So, I'm going with Amazon and free super saver shipping!
I actually had to "wait in line" (in que) to purchase products from their site. Seems they would have the technology down for a comany this large.
Products purchsed were very good, and dilevery time was a bit long. I would purchase from Target online again unless there was an alternative website with a better reputation and the same product.
I placed an order on December 1, 2010, I ordered a wall applique' a lamp and a blanket. I got the lamp within a few days of placing the order, the remainder of the items were "on back-order" as Christmas approached with still no items, I contacted Target - I had asked that they cancel the remainder of the items so that I could get them from somewhere else and they advised me that they were not able to cancel the order as it had entered the shipping process but they would be happy to refund my entire shipping once the order shipped- this excuse went on through to the middle of January - I had spoken with Customer service operators and supervisors and still only received the same answer we can't cancel the order because it has entered the shipping process - but they couldn't get it moving either. Finally I contacted BBB and within 1 week I had the items and an e-mail from a "follow up" team member who stated how sorry they were - I don't think I did ever get my shipping refunded - but I will not be ordering from target online anymore - I have had problems with both of the orders I had placed with them - this one being the last order I have and will place with www.target.com
My son ended up with two spiderman appliques and 2 spiderman throw blankets because I refused to not have them for him to open on x-mas day...
Bad site and rotten customer service.
Target always seems to have good quality. The only negative is customer support could be faster with a response.
I was very surprised by how fast my item came. I bought Pokemon SoulSilver and chose the cheapest shipping possible, and it arrived in two days! Since I ordered it on a Friday, I never expected it to come so early. Of course, the game was new, and therefore in good condition. Although I thought I paid a bit too much for the game, I ended up with a wonderful shopping experience.
