Good service and value with excellent products
I have used Taunton Leisure on and off for over 25 years as I know I will get quality at a reasonable price. I ordered a Vango Omega 350 2013 model, 3 man tent for general camping, with about £25 discount from the list price. The tent arrived well packaged and in the time stated, , which allowed us to practice putting the tent up and packing it away before our trip. I selected the tent as it gives 2 people plenty of room, with an enclosed porch for storing your stuff or for cooking under cover with the flaps open. At 5kgs it may be a little heavy for hiking, unless it was split up between people in a party. I would suggest using additional bags anyway as the porch groundsheet is likely to become dirtier than the inner parts and it is very difficult to get the whole tent back in the original bag. The DoE approval was also important as my sons may be using this tent with school, scouts or sea cadets DoE expeditions in the future. It also has pockets which is great for storing your specs, headtorch and mobile phone whilst you sleep and then finding them when you wake up. The aluminium pegs are fine in soft ground, but you may need to get something a little stronger if the ground is very hard. It was a shame that a couple of the guys don't have velcro ties, as on the rest the velcro ties are a great idea for tying up the lines, but I will add some myself.
We have been lucky so far and have not tested it in the rain yet. In summary, the tent has the quality I expected. I now look forward to many more camping trips.

Excellent Experience of On Line Shopping with good Delivery Times.
I bought an Osprey Premier Poco Baby Carrier from Taunton Leisure who I had never bought off before.It is difficult buying a product that you haven't seen in person but
with the reviews I read I was convinced that the Baby Carrier was ideal for my
6 Month old Grandson.I bought it as an early Father's Day present for my son as he
was going on Holiday shortly.As soon as my son put his son in the Baby Carrier it was smiles allround.The top of the range carrier is excellent.Baby was very enthusiastic and comfortable in his new surroundings.The Carrier adjusted for Mother to try in out with no fuss.
Watched the Osprey video first of a baby being carried whiched confirmed my buy.
Very pleased with no fuss shopping.

They don't understand the Distance Selling Regulations
The Distance Selling Regulations Distance state that you are entitled to a full refund including the initial delivery charge if you return a product, within 7 working days. The product, despite the comment on their website, does not fall within the permitted exceptions which are perishable goods, magazines, unwrapped CDs/DVDs and personalized items. At present they are refusing to refund the cost of the item returned to them within 7 days. Otherwise their service is excellent and I have no problems with the Exos Osprey 58 Rucksack which was delivered within two days and meets expectations.

After taking some advice over this situation, Taunton Leisure can confirm that under The Distance Selling Regulations, you are entitled to a refund because you returned the item to us with in 7 days of receiving it. This is subject to garment being in a new and unused condition.
We have this policy in place to protect future customers who may purchase underwear, for health and hygiene reasons. However, we understand that if returned with in 7 days of receiving them, the consumer is entitled to a refund or exchange.
We will be happy to offer a refund when the item is returned in a new and unused condition.

I used to use T.L. shop in Exeter so thought I would check them out on-line now that I am back living in Scottish Highlands. Best deal anywhere for North face Tadpole 2DL and Exped sleeping mats needed for wild camps in the hills. Lowest Price & Free Postage on Water Containers
I was looking for some 23 litre rigid water containers with a filling hole separate from the tap and found them at the lowest price at Taunton Leisure AND they offered free delivery for them. No brainer! I ordered on an Sunday and they arrived on Wednesday. Great service and a good price - what more could you ask for.

Great choice, great value, great service
Often visit in-store at their Exeter branch where we had on bought 2 pairs of trousers - the on-line shop was to purchase additional pairs and also rucksacks for our children. Everything was simple and easy, no problems at all finding what we wanted. Items were good value for money and the descriptions were very accurate. The parcel was sent to our work address and arrived in perfect condition within a few days. Totally recommend this company for both in-store and on-line shopping.

Lets face it, most companies concerned with their own survival are good at setting out their wares and taking your money. I ordered the wrong item and I emailed them to change my order. No waiting for 20 minutes on a phone line. I got an email back confirming the change. The product was cheapest on this site, too. Would check this site first when considering future purchases.

Quick and efficient, great customer service
Ordered product, no delivery charge. Item was dispatched next day and delivered day after, very quick. Unfortunately, when unwrapped packeage, the item was damaged. I assume by the delivery company. I called Taunton Lesisure and they were great.. apologised and had a new one shipped out that day and collected the broken one. Brilliant service. i would not hesiatate to recommend them.
