I ordered a hard drive back in September, and the site said there was a 2 week wait on the item.
The payment was made but I then had an email saying the order has been cancelled.
I have sent emails asking to be refunded but have had no reply. they bounce back saying their inbox is full.
Tried calling, no answer and memory is full on the answer phone.
I see a pattern here and it is shocking that they can get away with it.

Can't think of a worse performing company that I have ever encountered on the Internet. Didn't provide the goods ordered, failed to inform me that items were out of stock. No Customer service to speak of.. yet they still took my payment.. Acted Dumb.. and didn't reply to my several emails and faxes until I finally cancelled the order, when a feeble apology was tendered followed by acknowledgement of the cancellation. They still haven't refunded my payment.. Used to be called stealing in days gone by. I would recommend staying well away from this cowboy outfit, or be prepared to get stung. This review will be propagated via other shopping forums to which I subscribe.
Worst transaction I have ever made. Website did not show up that the product was not in store, but once I had paid it said 'awaiting stock'. It said this for a month so I contacted them, they told me it was due in soon. a further two weeks went by and no product in stock. It has now been two months since I cancelled my order and asked for a refund, it still has not come through, despite several calls and e-mails.
Also because of the long wait, PayPal will not do anything about it either.
My advice DO NOT USE these incompetent people. They are con artists.
Goods sent, had to collect from couriers, badly packed, but APPEARED ok, so took them. The TV was dead, sent it back. Heard nothing, called them, "it's working ok" "no it isn't" "ok, let me test it myself.... oh you are right, it IS dead"
Refund promised, but still not happened.
I too have let Consumer Direct (linked to Trading Standards) know about this bunch of incapable whatevers.... Have also been in touch with my card company, they can probably help me.

I placed an order on 18th Sep 2010 through their website that said that the item will be available within the next week. 4 or 5 weeks later with the item had still not arrived, I found a cheaper one from Amazon and therefore cancelled my order with Tech Store by phoning them. The guy on the phone was only too pleased to cancel, and when I asked about a refund, he said that it would be done in due course. About a week later I emailed them asking about my refund, to which they replied that it would be done within 24 hours. 2 weeks later, and still no refund. And because it's been longer than 45 days, Paypal, which was the medium through which I paid, won't do anything either.
I've since been on the phone to Trading Standards who are now on the case.

I only found this page recently - had I seen these reviews before hand, then I would have avoided Tech Store like the plague.
I purchased items and paid express next day delivery as the website advised that the goods were in stock. When they didn't arrive I canceled the order on line via their website. The goods duly arrived a week later, contacted the store asking for a full refund including the express postage. Spoke with a very belligerent manger who as much called me a liar and advised me that I needed to provide evidence that I had cancelled. Of course I wasnt able to provide so they refunded only the cost of the goods - I had to pay return postage (recorded delivery) as well as forfeit the high cost next day delivery
please, don't part with your hard earned money to these looney toons! avoid them, you hear me? AVOID THEM! buy stuff online and kiss your money goodbye and then run up your phone bill calling their 087 number. no goods, no refund, high phone bill, poor customer service. it's a lose lose situation. a word is enough for the wise!
Techstore delivered my HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 right first time in the manufacturer's packaging which was up to the task of off-shore shipping. There appeared to be some delay in shipping but I have no complaints about shipping or handing charges. Some additional communication through the delay may have been helpful and would have been reassuring.
I have no hesitation recommending the printer and merchant
At first the delivery time was good. The item then broke 2 days later, which isn't their fault. But I then spent 1 months trying to get them to let me send it back, which I eventually was able to. They received it and did nothing with it for two weeks until I phoned them up asking where my replacement was. I then spent another month trying to get them to send a replacement which never happened. As it was now two and a half months after the purchase I just requested a refund. A month later after that and I still have no refund and I am still pestering them.

I needed two IDE hard drives for my PC urgently due to drive failure. Techstore showed the Hitachi drives in stock. I went through their ordering process and asked for next day delivery as it was urgent. I sort of ordered the drives a bit late on day. I called Techstore customer services to check if they can deliver on same day. They confirmed they can do that. Order was despatched on same day and received tracking details later on the day. Delivery was received by courie the day. I am very impressed with their service. Their website does have a large selection of products. Their prices were very competitive even after paying for next day delivery service.
I recommend this company for their service and a good selection of payment methods.
I cant be bothered to go through the whole scenario but they are awful. Take your money and then say out of stock. 3 weeks later no goods. Asked for refund, told they had done it but still no refund. Dont EVER deal with this company
After ordering verious items costing over £500 only one of the items were actually delivered. They charged £11.99 for items that didn't even break £10. After many emails and phone calls and broken promises about items that never came I canceled the order before christmas 2009. Now in January 2010 I still haven't recieved payment...EVEN after recieving an email confirmation confirming my products had been canceled and the cheque would be wtih me in 7 working days. After a phone call today they said the cheque hadn't been sent and that they would send it. Howeever still no cheque from the techstore.
Ladies and Gentlemen i would be very careful when ordering from the techstore, after over three months and £500 missing i still don't have what i ordered. Therefore i woluld STRONGLY advise that you don't use the techstore for your purchases!
I ordered some networking items difficult to obtain from a nuber of other retailers. I called Techstore to confirm they hav stock even though their website stated they have 2 in stock. Their customer services person check the details and confirmed it is. I ordered the items online on their website with next day delivery. Later that day I was emailed the tracking details and they delivered them by courier the next day for my project. I am very happy wih their service and will use them as a prefered supplier as they have a very large product range.
PS: I also noticed on their website they tell you exactly how many items they have in stock. Press add to cart and it will tell you how many in stock and how many on back order.
I ordered two items on 2/12/09 which appeared to be in stock. Over a week later when I chased them they said that delivery was awaited within a week when they would send it. 11 days later I chased again. Delivery now awaited in 10/11 days so no good for Xmas. When I rang they said a white version was available which was exactly the same one but not black. I agreed. When it arrived, it was a different model.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, www.techstore.co.uk! I would like to give them a 0 rating but it's not an option on this site. I placed an order for two items which were shown as in stock. The next day, it was showing as no stock. I waited for a week and there was no sign of my order. I emailed and was told it would take 7-10 days for new stock. Two weeks later and no sign of the order so I emailed again and there was no response.
I ended up ringing their expensive 0871 number and was told there were severe stock delays. I asked to cancel my order and they assured I was able to do this and that a refund would be issued. A week later, I emailed to ask for confirmation that my order had been cancelled and to ask how long the refund would take. I got a response saying my order had been cancelled but, conveniently, not addressing the second question. I rang and was told a fast-track refund would be issued (allegedly it usually takes 7-10 working days for a Paypal transaction!) and would be in my account in three working days. Over a week later, there was still no refund and no response to my email.
Nearly 30 days after the cancellation, I sent them an official complaint reminding them of my legal refund rights under the Distance Selling Act (2000) and threatening to take steps towards legal action if they did not respond within 48 hours. Finally, the next day my Paypal account was credited (what happened to the 7-10 working day turnaround! Or is that just an excuse to keep the money for a bit longer in the hope I'd forget?). They are claiming it was an 'administrative error'. Erm, twice?!? And what about all the ignored messages I sent them?
What a battle! I am never using them again and do not recommend them. The staff are polite on the phone but speak with heavy foreign hard-to-understand accents and do not follow through with their promises. Emails asking for refund information weren't responded to. Customer service is shoddy. Avoid like the plague.
I have ordered from Techstore a number of times and their goods have been very cheap and deliver goods very fast. You can always call their customer support and get stock availability. They have a very good product range as well. I highly recommend this company A+++++
So, you order a product they say they have in stock when no one else seems to have got it in yet. After a month of waiting and questioning emails I get a one line response informing me stock is delayed. Three months later and numerous unanwsered emails later I neither have my product or my money back. DO NOT SHOP AT TECHSTORE!!!
Do not use this online store, they hook people by offering low prices on kit they do not have. After adding to their profits by calling on their premium rate number so many times and not getting much sense, I will now hand over the matter to my credit card provider. It really is a case of if something seems to good to be true then it probably is. Despite numerous emails I have yet to receive a reply. Don't be tempted by their website, the back up is terrible.
I ordered a Iomega 1TB StorCenter network hard drive from Techstore. I never received an order confirmation therefore I contacted them by phone to check the order status.
They said it was in in progress but that it was good that I called because they could do me the replacement to the original product that included wireless connectivity.
I thought that could be interesting so I thought I would go for it and paid an extra £26.40 to go for the drive with wireless.
I then though I would have a look at the details for said drive elsewhere...I could find no mention of an Iomega 1TB Storcenter network hard drive anywhere, I contacted techstore and they insisted that it did include wireless, I basically told them that I ONLY wanted to go for the higher model if it did include wireless.
I also contacted them seperately because I couldn't login to the website, they asked me to confirm my password....something I wouldn't expect any online store to do as your password should be private and hidden even from the website owner.
They actually then read it out to me....absolutely terrible security policy, transpired by the way that 3 characters of my password were missing, it allowed me to enter them when setting up my account but truncated them off when I saved without warning!
I then asked for the difference back when the product arrived and as suspected had no wireless on it whatsoever.
I asked for a partial refund but they would only let me send the product back, which I didn't want to do as I am using the drive.
