A few weeks ago I was shopping in Lichfield which is about a 45 minute drive from where I live. I purchased a ted baker jacket which was quite expensive but hey i liked it. After I arrived home I noticed there was a large hole in one of the sleeves. I drove all the way back to the shop only to be told that they wouldn't offer me a refund even though the item was faulty.
Although I wasn't too happy with this I agreed to make yet another journey a week later to collect a new one. So, a week later I picked up my second jacket up only to find that it was advertised cheaper on the label than I had paid just a week before. The shop of course wouldn't give me any refund for the difference!
After having the new jacket a week I noticed bright blue numbers under the leather sleeve - another fault! I wrote to Ted Baker as I was unhappy about the quality of the product and the bad service I had received and they sent me a poor and disappointing reply. I advised them I didn't have the receipt anymore to which they replied that as I still had my receipt an exchange wouldn't be a problem. Really what did I expect they don't read my email properly or address my complaint yet send me a standard templated reply! Great service. I wrote again to them asking why they hadn't read my complaint properly and perhaps somebody might contact me, guess what reply I had... None
I honestly will never shop with them again and after explaining all this to my friends and family they won't either.
Unfortunately customer service was terrible. I bought a dress on Sunday, but my order was still being processed on Wednesday (shipping costs over 15 pounds!). I emailed several times to find out about the delay, but never received a reply. Finally there was an assistent at the online chat and she told me I was going to get a call to confirm my details and my order wouldn't be processed until they talked to me. It couldn't be through email; they had to call me (why???). She told me I would get the call that day. I didn't. Finally they did call me, but in the middle of the conversation the woman just hung up on me. I was extremely disappointed in the service. I emailed (again) to tell them I just got hung up and finally I received an answer and all of a sudden everything was ok (apparently my details didn't have to be confirmed anymore..?!) and my order would be processed. In all it took over a week to get here. I really love Ted Baker clothes, but would definitely recommend not to buy anythink on their webshop. Customer service is really bad, even though I paid (very high) shipping costs.
Delivery cost is very high. It is better to buy Ted Baker products from other online merchants as cost of delivery in TedBaker is at least 3 times higher than habitual delivery prices are.
After reading previous comments I must say that it is so unfortunate that so fancy products are sold with so bad delivery and returns policy.
Terrible customer service the people work there in brighton store are so fake and they be nice to you when u were buying anything but if you have problem afterwords they are so terrible and rude to you, they treat me very badly when I wanted to exchange something and they don't do refund which i think a big company like them they should if the product is faulty or something wrong with it. but unfortually they dont do refund i bought shoes from them but broken next day then i say i cant trust their quality any more so want a refund the lady was very rude and abuse me from stealing i was really upset plus and I'm a returning customer i used to buy from them a lot but apparently they don't know how to value and keep their customer they lost me now i will never go back to ted backer.
Ordered 2 bags online and was told that it would arrive within 2 business days. Guess what? NOPE.
Order still not here and I have send 1 online enquiry form and 2 emails to firstname.lastname@example.org. No replies.
I should have checked the reviews on trustpilot beforehand to see all the terrible experiences that other customers had to go through. Now I am one of them
The returns policy is not clear until items have already been purchased. You are not advised of this before, during, or after purchase by staff and only become aware of it when you check your receipt at which point it is already too late. Make sure that you are 100% happy with whatever you buy before you complete the transaction as you are only given a credit note not a refund!
For an expensive shop they are somewhat backwards in their policies!
Having Regularly bought Ted Baker clothing and accessories it is only on the one occasion that I had to return some shoes due the the colour being unsuitable. I sent these by recorded delivery costing over 8.00 to return. I strongly recommend reading the refund policy as after several calls to customer services it would appear they have no intention of refunding my payment for 30 working days...almost 6 weeks after I paid out 110.00.. I am appalled And as a retailer myself see no valid reason why it should take that long...very upset and will never order via the website again.
I purchased a shirt for my husband as a Xmas present and unfortunately the shirt was a bad fit ( too short in arms and larger size was too baggy) which meant he was unable to find a another shirt in the store as none of them fitted him. It was only when we tried to return the shirt that I was was made aware of the companies return policy. Obviously with such as rubbish return/refund policy the staff are not going to shout about it and inform the customer at the point of purchase but you would expect this to be made clearer when it is obvious that you are purchasing items as presents in December!!
Very very disappointed! What's the point of him having a credit note when the clothes just don't fit?
For Christmas my mum and I brought my partner 2 Ted Baker Shirts. Unfortunately they are the incorrect size. On purchasing the shirts we specifically asked their exchange policy and they said we can exchange them ANYtime.
Yesterday (boxing day) I went to exchange the shirts, and was told that I was not allowed to due to some rule that they do not exchange on boxing day or the first 3 days of Sale (which was not explained to us). So I cannot exchange until Saturday. One of the shirts are for an occasion before this.
I tried to speak to the manager, and she just shouted over me (though I was not being aggressive towards her). I then asked if they could at least hold the two shirts I want to exchange in the correct size for me, and they would not do that. They told me I can buy them, but then I would not get a refund on my first two, therefore I would effectively pay for them twice.
I was very upset with the treatment, and thought it was very unfair of them to offer NO help or alternative solutions.
The manager then told me to hang on whilst she went into the office, I thought she was going in to try and help in some way, in fact no, she called the Cabots Circus (bristol shopping centre) security on me and had me escorted out the door and followed down the street! I literally could not believe it, I have never been so insulted by a shop or felt so intimidated!
I am now trying to call Customer Services to report this, but from reading the blogs below, I hold little hope of getting through.
I will never EVER buy from Ted Baker again. The most terrible treatment I have ever had!

I recently purchased a gorgeous Wanju jacket from tedbaker.com about a week and a half ago via the paypal link at checkout.
Since I hadn't received a single order confirmation in the days following, I tried reaching out them to discover why there was no response. Over the course of 5 emails and 8 calls to thier customer service line I have yet to reach a single person there. Either thier call center is staffed by 1 person who's busy from open to close or (more likely) nobody staffs it.
My paypal account confirms that the payment was sent, yet no one at ted baker has yet to accept it. Plus paypal still has a hold on the several hundred dollars that I spent for the coat.
Next time you make an order via thier website, don't hold your breath that it will actually get fulfilled - but yes, they would like to keep your money.

Love the shirt, I got lots of Ted Baker shirts and they are the only shirts I buy thA don't need altering to fit me properly, the fabric is very good quality and you won't find these prints anywhere else, I like to make a statement and be different, that's why I love Ted.
I purchased 2 pair of trousers, which were unsuitable, I returned the same day they arrived paying overnight delivery to Ted Baker, only to still be awaiting a refund 14 days later, When I phoned I was told even though they had received them, it takes up to 28 day to sort a refund even though I used paypal, what a joke
Needed a last minute surprise for my Husbands birthday and found just want I wanted easily on the Ted Baker website. The order was simple and the shirt was delivered very quickly. What was nice, was the lovely box and packaging It arrived in.
Will be ordering my husbands clothes on-line from Ted Baker again!!
Experience of store purchases is good, see what I like, try it on for size and if fine, I purchase it. This was the first attempt at online ordering but it turns out I am in between your sizes for the coat I wanted. But after returning the coat and receiving confirmation they have been received, I am still waiting for my money back 2 weeks later. If transfers are only made at a certain point in the month (to keep down BACS charges) Ted Baker should make it known when these are.
Ordered a gift voucher for the son in law for his birthday, on the 10th sept, when I spoke to him he said he hadn't received anything, Its now the 24th September so 2 weeks after, and despite conversations on line directing me to Yodel the delivery guys and asking me to phone them ( which is a bit rich, I did'nt order the item from them so why should I be expected to sort the problem out) Was promised a call back friday pm, but didnt get one, had to call again today (monday) told still waiting for the delivery driver to be interviewed. Very Very disappointed, its not my problem, all I know is that I purchased gift vouchers that have not been delivered even though I had to pay £4.99 for the delivery.
Surely they could put a stop on the original vouchers issued and send some more and some compensation for the terrible experience
I would definately recommend shopping on line with Ted Baker. The ordering process was easy, the delivery was quick and the size of the garment is a true size, so no need to return as with other shops. I am very very happy with my purchase.
I ordered a wallet for my boyfriends birthday gave myself about 10 days for it to arrive and the service says 3-4 days. Nearly three weeks later it still hasn't arrived and his birthday has been and gone. When i tried to track my parcel it just possible delay due to damage and still says that almost three weeks later. No one informed me of the delay and I had to do a lot of chasing around. I think you need a new courier service. I a now trying to cancel the order refund my money and go somewhere else to buy him a very late birthday present
I do really like Ted Baker's women range however I was left disappointed when I requested andpaid for next day delivery for item to arrive two days later than expected.
I purchased a courier bag for my little bro for his birthday and he absolulty loved it, really good quality and very stylish. The bag arrived quickly and I loved the box it came in, left it in it to wrap it up (was tempted to leave it without wrapping paper!!!). One happy big sis and one very happy little bro
After a terrible experience at a Ted Baker concession in House of Fraser Norwich (but for which Ted Baker were brilliant at sorting out) I got a refund and ordered boots, however only to be told they were then out of stock! Obviously I was very disappointed.
A month later I reordered and received them within 2 days, and I love them, so after a rocky start thank you Ted!
Delivery was longer than expected. When I took the bag back to store I was told I had to return by post and cost me £9.75! I don't think it's write that if you have an item delivered to your own address you cannot return to store but if you have delivery to store its ok.
I love to purchase gifts for my family from Ted Baker as they feel it's something really special, to receive a Ted Baker item.
It is so easy to browse the latest styles and to select and make that special purchase, but I just won't do it again as the delivery was a nightmare. I spent eveyday the items were due on the phone or website trying to locate and track my goods. On the 2nd occasion when goods didn't arrive Ted Baker refunded my payment with out question, but the whole experience left me exasperated.
bought few of these as stocking fillers for xmas and really happy with the quality and overall look of the product. look expensive but they do look better in a pair which thankfully i bought enough to do.
