Tesco Wine on Line

Great selection, particularly Tesco Finest range. I would give Tesco 5 stars, unfortunately their web site is dreadful.

It starts off OK then changes appearance part way through the ordering process and becomes almost unusable. I have used it several times, on more than one computer, and nearly always end up having to phone my order through.

When phone I find the call centre staff helpful.

Always on time, always what I wanted

I have been using Tesco groceries for about 5 years. I love it. The website is really easy to use, communication from Tesco is good and the delivery drivers are always polite and helpful. Items arrive carefully packed and any substitutions are only because I have requested them, and they are pointed out to me immediately, in case they aren't suitable. Very highly recommended.

Worst Supermarket Ever! Hope they go bust!!!

Tesco, well what was once my favorite supermarket when I was younger is no more! For the last 10 years since I have left home from my parents Tesco has gone down hill big time! I can now say I avoid the place like the plague! Tesco is the nearest store to me but Id rather drive that extra 4 miles and go else where to [External Link] a where I feel valued! The customer service at tesco is atrocious! Cocky and arrogant staff, ask where to get an item when you cant find it, they tell you what isle its on and I usually end up giving up! When you have an issue with a product they dont take responsibility and make you feel like your an inconvenience. The last straw for me was when I bought yet another incorrect priced item and asked for a refund they said they could not do it, the manager told me to come back tomorrow! I was there then not tomorrow, The reason being it was five past 10 at night and they could not issue a refund, I complained and all the manager said was 'were not [External Link] you know' - I was disgusted! Incorrect items are a too much regular occurrence in Tesco, then theirs the 50p each or two for £1 type offers! Do they really think we are thick? - And then their pricing is a total rip off! And that motto - We are changing - Yes you sure are your changing for the worse! I am sick an tired of tesco, and I am not the only one! My parents and my siblings also say the same and refuse to shop their too, its a national problem as they live 100 miles away from me in a rural town and all they have is Tesco other than [External Link] and refuse to shop their due to poor customer service and ignorant staff! I have been regularly in the past to Tescos in, Cannock, Uttoxeter, Accrington, Rawtenstall, Burton Upon Trent, Blackpool and Great Harwood and they are all the same! Rotten staff and they dont know what the hell customer service is. Its the place to go if you want someone to argue with you for no reason! Its the worse place ever! My childhood memories of going shopping with my family including those friday nights when me and my sister used to go with our pocket money and stuff our face with tescos cakes! All tainted as I have gotten older. What a pigging shame! There food is no better according to the news, Horse Meat? Birds in salads? and then there was that time my mother found a frozen cockroach in her ready meal, It was sickening! I cant even stand going past Tesco anymore, time after time I have been even when I know I hate it. But never ever again! Luckily most of my friends have also converted to [External Link]! Farewell TESCO - I do NOT wish the best for you! All you cause is misery!!!

Constantly blocked aisles

Shopping in our local Tesco Extra has become a nightmare due to the number of staff collecting items for home delivery and click-and-collect. The trolleys they use are everywhere throughout the store, often several in a single aisle, making shopping a horrible experience.

Whilst we understand that many people like on-line shopping, we believe that Sainsbury's have a different system whereby in-store shoppers are not inconvenienced in this way. If this is true, that is where we will be spending our money in future,

really BAD

I spent almost 1 hour to order 2 case of wine and pay - it is a mess, tesco should spend a bit of money to sort the website order, i am so angry i can break the computer.
I am not computer order starter - there are so many things they need to sort out.
if i want to order with my other email i should
if i want to give other address to deliver why not
if i give instruction more than 70 caractors why not - i end up giving up on buying stuff now.

Every Little Does Not Help!

1. The staff all look they have just rolled out of bed and can't be bothered
2. The staff are rude to customers and I swear they actually don't have a clue what 'Customer Service' is
3. Overpriced, I apparently saved £2.30 on my shopping but when I came home to compare the prices they were not cheaper at all and I could have saved more money elsewhere. Also, you will notice then when they do price drops, other things go up in price.
4. The counters are always dirty and smell like the drains are blocked. NEVER buy from them!
5. Gone are the days of 'would you like a hand packing?' They can't even be bothered to give you your receipt, you have to take it yourself!

Tesco, the worlds worst supermarket!

Substituted on home delivery with whiskey instead of white rum

I had a grocery delivery today from Purley, Surrey today, they substituted Barcardi white rum for Bells whiskey. I have sent and received two e mails from their offices who cannot see what the problem is. I keep telling them that Rum is different to Whiskey in taste as well as colour, do you think they understand this, no they don't, I was advised to Take off substitutes on line if I don't what they send, why should I do this when I normally accept their substitutes. Do you think I can get this through to them, no I can't. Has anyone else had problems likes this, surely people of any intelligence would know Rum is not the same as Whiskey!

Customer service, whats that? I only wanted a smile :)

Visted Tesco in St Stephens Hull yesterday to return a broken vacuum cleaner ( tescos own brand, which was good until developed a fault) .Not a great experience.
Saturday:
I rang the electrical helpline and the call centre were excellent, friendly and helpful. No complaints there. I was given a reference number and instructed to return it to store for an exchange or refund.

Sunday
Visited Tesco St Stephens Hull to return the vac. Went to the customer services and was instructed to take it upstairs to the electrical department. So far, so good. On reaching the checkout upstairs I had the misfortune to be served by a Tescos employee who had obviously never heard the phrase great customer service. I instantly clocked the couldn't care less demeanour and look of suspicion as I explained why I was returning the vacuum cleaner. No can I help you, no smile, just a miserable attitude that made me feel a) like some sort of con man trying to pull a fast one b) very uncomfortable. Judging by what this particular staff member was wearing I presume this was some sort of supervisor. Oh dear, no wonder the staff in there always look so miserable. I challenged the staff member on her attitude which didn't go down too well. . After that things went a bit downhill and the couldn't care less employee wouldn't serve me . Thankfully the member of staff who was ordered to serve me was very helpful, pleasant and had good customer service skills. That's all I wanted in the first place, is that too much to ask?

You never handled my complaint correctly

I returned with a packet of dates because I bit into one and a black powder spilled out, I inhaled it and some got in my mouth - it tasted chemically and horrid, I felt ill for the rest of the day.

I reported it to the store here in Edinburgh, filled out a report and returned the item. You guys examined it and never really gave me an explaination - my compensation ? ... a £10.00 gift token for Tescos... I'm sorry but that is very VERY cheap!

After all the hassle i went through, the dates themselves that I returned were £2.50 .. then I had to journey to the store and fill in the report. Basically I was paid £10.00 for my time wasted.

Not impressed Tesco, I have been shopping with you for many years - exclusively ! .. I spend on average £90 per week - including Xmas.. I spend roughly £5,000 per year at your store.. and you give me a £10 token for what happened !

Makes me question your respect for customers!

Terrible service, horrible food, unfriendly staff & NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I went to the Edmonton (Ravenside Retail Park) a few months back. I was with my baby & decided to have my baby in the pram & use a basket instead of a trolley. There were no baskets to be found despite searching for a few minutes. I approached customer service & asked where the baskets were & they were pointed out to me. As a joke I said that it was not my job to locate & go to get the basket. I got a load of abuse from the "so called" customer service guy, so much so that even his supervisor asked him to take a break. When he walked away he came up close to me in an angry manner as though he wanted to hit me & eventually walked away. As you can imagine I was absolutely furious & filed a complaint. I got a £25 tesco voucher to compensate. I no longer shop in Tesco & now shop in Sainsburys which I always find a much more pleasant experience. As I buy Tesco petrol & pop into other stores (very occasionally) I still get my Tesco vouchers in the post. I decided a good few months after this incident to go into the store to use the tesco exchange for nappies. When I approached customer service, guess who happened to be serving?! None other than Mr I Have No Manners RUDE! I felt lucky at first because there was also a lady serving who called me over. Then I told her that I wanted to double up my vouchers & she told me that I had to wait for Mr I Have No Manners RUDE as he deals with that. I told her that I did not want to be served by him & asked her to get another member of staff to help me. She asked why & I told her that I did not want to explain. Well what exactly do you think she decided to do?! She approached Mr I Have No Manners RUDE & told him so then I had him on my case too! He asked me why I was refusing him to serve me & my response was "I do not have to explain myself, can you please get a different member of staff". He then stormed off with the same bad attitude that I had experienced before & said "well you won't be served by anybody then". Yet again I was furious. It was bad enough that he had been allowed to get away with the way he treated me the first time in front of my baby but he did it again. A supervisor came over & I explained what had happened. Because I was so annoyed I asked Mr I Have No Manners RUDE, why he was like this & then yet again he stated arguing with me. I then started raising my voice because I was so angry & they attempted to kick me out of the store by calling security over!!!! I could not believe what was going on. Can you believe that after ALL that they were not even doing the exchange anyway so all of this could have been avoided had the lady have told me. I am currently in the process of complaining about this experience too.
I find the service there & generally at most Tesco stores shameful. How they can let their staff get away with treating their customers like that is unbelievable. Clearly they do not care & Mr I Have No Manners RUDE has such great customer service skills that he is perfectly capable of carrying out a customer service role. Let me tell you that Tesco clearly do not care about their customers at all. I am tempted to bin my vouchers. I never want to step foot in another tesco store again. Their food quality is rubbish anyway & when the staff mistreat you & get away with it then whats the point. I will be cancelling my tesco credit card & will eventually ensure that I never take out car or home insurance with them. Disput being a past regular customer there was no loyalty to me.... so goodbye tesco once & for all.
Please please avoid if you can. They really are totally rubbish in every way!

Poor product, poor service, complete disregard for customer

I bought a small Zanussi vacuum cleaner from the Broadbridge Heath Tesco in early February. It was actually quite a good little thing until we came to empty it. It had a plastic latch holding the dust container on, and the latch sheared off as we tried to empty it. Without the latch the machine was 100% useless. Of course the cleaner was purchased on a grocery round and so the receipt was nowhere to be found. Tesco perfectly accepted that the machine was bought from them in the last couple of weeks as we knew exactly where it had been placed in the store and how much it was. They did not,, however, offer to return it to the manufacturer, replace it or give a credit note. Lousy all round. Shame on you Tesco. Another good customer sent scurrying to [External Link] and [External Link]. I shan't be darkening their doors again.

Service with a smile and always helpful!

Linda King at Mangotsfield Tesco Express is always friendly, helpful and willing to help customers. My mum, who has had a stroke, goes into the shop on almost a daily basis and when Linda is working, she always goes around the store to help my mum with her shopping list. How many Tesco employees go out of their way to offer their services - just going that extra mile makes all the difference. Thank you Linda so much.

Rude Rude Rude and Rude again.

I'm getting quite a collection of poor experiences from Harford Bridge in Norwich. Here's a couple.
Recently, I was given a counterfeit £1 coin in my change. It was obviously counterfeit - a really bad paint job, very poor definition etc etc. I asked the person in attendance to swap it for a good one. I was told there was nothing wrong with it - 'it's one of the new thick ones(!!)'. The guy on the next till became involved and and was of the same opinion as his colleague. They called the supervisor - a guy in a suit. Unbelievably he was reluctant to swap it too, simply on the basis of the fact that both sides of the coin had the same orientation. Shocking! Even if it had been a genuine coin - which it wasn't - where is the customer service here? Eventually, after what seemed like ages, they did swap it over.
Experience 2. They had an offer on salmon on the fresh fish counter, by weight. I pointed to one specific piece of fish and asked how much it would cost me. 'Are you going to buy one or not?!' was the brusk and rude introduction. I'd only just stepped up to the counter!!!! This guy was suddenly more likely to wear that fish than he was to sell it to me.

Poor, can't get orders right!

We've twice used Tesco delivery, once click and collect and once home delivery. Our latest Click and collect (they charge £2 for, not sure why as we had to drive and collect it) they didn't include everything we'd ordered, which was awesome. When we used Home Delivery, they didn't bother turning up, and despite them having my home and mobile number with instructions to call if they needed help finding us, they didn't bother. I called them 5 or 6 time throughout the evening and got no where, and in the end they had to cancel and then reorder the shopping. Appalling, avoid at all costs!

POOR QUALITY FOOD

I BOUGHT SOME CHEESE PASTA SAUCE FROM A TESCO METRO EXPRESS THE OTHER DAY AND DISCOVERED IT WAS MORE LIKE WATER. IT HAD NO TASTE AND NO REAL SMELL TO IT. YET AGAIN I HAVE FOUND TESCO TO BE SHORT ON QUALITY.

Apalling Service

Having recently received a £15 online first order voucher - we duly placed our first order through Tesco's with a time slot of between 20.00 and 21.00 yesterday - we received a text message to say delivery now no later than 21.27 - Still waiting at 22.20 telephoned Tesco's - they rang back to say adverse weather conditions meant driver running late but intended to deliver by 23.00 - nothing arrived/heard nothing. - e-mailed this morning at 09.04 asking what was happening with order - finally received telephone call at 01.15 to apologise and inform me they have cancelled my order!!!! - They advise are to give me £15.00 in vouchers for my next online shop!!!! (as if) - to date received one for £5.00!! - this puts me back to square one but no account is taken for the stress/telephone calls and e-mails!!! To cap it all they tell me that a refund is to take place to my account but will take 3-5 working days - good job we are not penniless!!! Their "refund" does not take into account that some items that were on special offer at the time of my order no longer are!!! - Our local store is one mile away but we are to drive 20 miles to a rival store this evening on a point of principal - never have I experienced such poor customer service!!!

Click and Collect....if they are open?

Have for many months extolled the virtues of C & C at Tesco to my teaching colleagues as the way forward for busy people. Not anymore.
Visited Southport store on Friday in the pouring rain and pressed button to announce my arrival. Nothing happened. Bearing in mind my window had to be open to hear if they replied. Pressed button three more times and nothing happened.
Took out my phone and rang store asking where the C & C personnel where? They said they would get someone to me. Ten minutes later still nothing. Parked my car in bay and ran right around store in the rain to go to the customer services at main entrance. They said they would get someone to help me. Ran back, again in the rain, and a young lad was there. When asked where he had been earlier was told sorry but I have only just come on duty. Another man wheeled my goods out and when I asked him he said don't ask me I am just a delivery driver helping out.
Moved car to near store entrance and asked for the Manager. He was on holiday but the Dot.com Manager could speak to me. Took her ten minutes to get to me as she said someone else had stopped her on the way.
She seemed more concerned about sorting her problems than placating me. I left the store very wet, and very dissatisfied .
To add insult to injury I realised today that they had not given me my frozen goods so had to ring helpline to get them refunded.
Imagine if this had been a busy mum with children in the car or an elderly couple.
I will not be using this service again as I cannot trust the service. I also do not want to have to check all the items off every time I get them home. Rant over.
