Come back Sir Terry Leahy

have shopped at Tesco for years but lately numerous products that I used to buy are no longer stocked. Got the usual "there is no call for it" to which I pointed out that they had in fact sold out so obviously customers did want the products.
Most popular label in Tesco now, "sorry temporarily out of stock".
Customer service is terrible, staff standing around talking, one female member in the clothing department was wearing a skirt with bare legs, it looked like she was an advert for gorgonzola, not smart or good.
Standards have disappeared.

Very unhappy with service received.

Having made my order on Monday I was very upset when on Tuesday I went into the order to add another item to find that 5 items were now highlighted as 'not available'.
These were basic everyday items!! - not only were these items unavailable but I hadn't had any notification of the situation. I telephoned the online number and was told I would receive a telephone call within 30 mins re the situation. Nothing!! I called again to be told these basic items were not available - 'sorry'. If an online grocery service can't provide basic items it must be considered useless!! I have now cancelled the order which was worth over £100.00.

Rude delivery driver!

The delivery diver I had was just so rude! He Put my groceries outside the front door down on the floor so I couldn't reach them (I have a very large drop from my front door to the step below)and had to bend right down and pick up 2 heavy crates! Being in my condition not the best thing for me to have to do! I did not even get chance to get the groceries into the kitchen, I ended up dumping it all in the living room because he's pushing more crates in top! He then hands me the thing to sign saying nothing then goes back to the van! When I looked at the sheet when he'd gone I had a substitution that he never bothered even telling me about! What if I didn't want it? A bit late after he'd left! The driver didn't say a word to me except for a few small grunts from the moment he turned up! I won't be using this service again!

Absolute disgrace

For the second time now, Tesco have not delivered our online shopping order. They didn't even have the courtesy to call us and let us know they weren't going to deliver. Just told when we rang up that they had some problems picking some orders so they had cancelled it! Why weren't we notified? They clearly couldn't care less about their customers, not even so much as an apology. Be warned, do not use this service.

Never ever shop here again.

21st dec 2013 i was told the delivery van broke down. i was called 2 hrs late to be told this and my delivery was 4 hrs late in the end resulting in a family member having to wait in for it instead of collecting me from a lovely day out me and my husband had had. not a nice ending to my wonderful day. shopping arrived at 11pm when paid for it to come at 7pm. its now been 6 weeks of complaining for a manager to call me and still no manager. someone from a help desk just called me back and when i started moaning about said delivery the stupid woman said shes ending the call and put phone down on me. its impossible to be put through to head office and cant speak to anyone higher than that. positively ridiculous. i spend hundreds of pounds at tesco every month and from now on i shall be taking my business to asda or morrisons. they have just lost a valued customer and dont even care. WHAT A STORE. no longer will i spend my money with tesco company.

Only accept good review

It seems as though Tesco Direct only publish product reviews which only show how good they are .
After trying to review two items I have purchased from there website recently they where rejected and not published I believe this was due to me critising there lack of care when picking your order ( ordered a blue product recieved a silver one ) there answer to this was you get what comes out of storeroom really helpfully that comment .
So don't believe there product reviews they only publish the positive ones.

Tesco Groceries Home Delivery

I have ordered my groceries online at Tesco's once a week for home delivery over the last year and have - apart from a single incident or two where the delivery have been delayed - been very pleased with the service. The guys who bring out the groceries are friendly and conservative and 9 out of 10 times I get all the groceries I ordered. In case they are out of an item or two they will replace it with a substitute product and ask you if you are happy with the exchange when they show up - e.g. replacing a regular salad with a baby leaf salad, etc.

4,5 out of 5 stars as there is always room form improvement. Wouldn't want to be without this service!

Avoid on-line grocery shopping!

I've been a loyal customer of Tesco for years but have made several complaints recently due to on-line service.Meal deal substitutions not made within deal so I am charged full price instead of £10,short dated items sent but not put in short date section on form so you don't notice until the driver has gone, wrong items sent plus a few days ago for the second time in a few months an item was missing.Rang to inform them but as they couldn't contact the driver to check his van(last time this happened he'd left it in the van freezer)I was told the store would phone me.After four phone calls to the grocery customer service department during the day to inform them I had not been called back, I was told by a bored employee that I would not be able to have any more deliveries due to high number of missing items(two in a year!).Outraged I asked to speak to his manager and was told there was no one else. After phoning again I had to ask to be refunded for the missing item (over £5)and was then allowed to speak to a manager.By this time I felt like banging my head against a wall. The manager said I had only been refunded after complaining three times in twelve weeks and my complaints were reasonable so she would look into the matter and get back to me. She rang two days later to say that her hands were tied and the store concerned would no longer deliver to me.Unbelievable!I now shop at Sainsburys as well as all my family and friends.Shop on-line with Tesco at your peril,I have a feeling I was lucky to get a refund for the missing item and it seems if you make justified complaints about short dated food, overcharges and receiving wrong items they will ban you instead of sorting out the problem .I have also made notes to the pickers concerning the incorrect meal del subs and choosing correct items in simple english but they always get ignored.I also sent an e-mail to the main customer services department and the reply was basically we don't care, you've been taken off the delivery list(no mention of a refund for the £60 delivery saver fee I paid) so go away.If I could give Tesco minus stars I would but you have to select one. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and in just a few days they have lost at least ten customers over this between my friends and family.

Tesco Finest Food - hideous and overpriced

Bought two pasta dishes to take to my holiday home for a quick arrival meal.
The smell when cooking meatballs with pasta was reminiscent of rotten cat food.
My husband found bone chips grissle and fatty lumps in the meatballs.Totally inedible.
We also bought a spaghetti bolognese it also had bones in the sauce.
I contacted Tesco via Facebook asked them to chase their suppliers.
In a situation like this their rivals would reimburse or offer a goodwill voucher,
They wrote a meaningless reply to get rid of the enquiry
I will use Ocado Sainsbury and Waitrose in future
Morrisons are streets ahead on quality
The only good point in my area is that they have a pay at pump service station and the staff are generally nice polite people

Out of date foood

I have been ordering food online from Tesco for one year and before they were ok but lately they have been delivering food that is out of date within 12 hours of it being delivered. They are supposed to outline this on the invoice but they have not and this is awful service. Their claim to bring the shopping inside is purely depending on which driver turns up

Waste of time ...

I have just had yet another balls up delivery from Tesco. The driver is lovely always but the picking staff leave a lot to be desired. Not a brain between them! They throw the food in the green crates so when it gets to the door I have to empty each item individually. Have a dinner party tonight and four of the key ingredients were missing so now have to go out to get them!

Phoned the customer service line and spoke to the most bored sounding individual. I asked him if the driver would come back and he was horrified 'what come back for four items?' Er well yes if I've paid for them to be delivered!

Refunded the items which is besides the point.

Going back to Ocado - dearer but their service was excellent, you get what you pay for!

Tesco buck your ideas up I know you think you own the planet but with all these bad reviews perhaps you need to start listening to your customers!

Just one thing Trustpilot! How can Tesco's score be 5/10 acceptable when I would say 4/5 reviews on here are 1 star and the pattern is that Tesco are terrible? You should have zero stars that would show them up for what they are.

Nearly ruined Christmas

On 30th September we bought a TV from Tesco Direct.. On 18th December it broke down and I rang them. They said they would send an Engineer on 20th December. Bearing in mind that Tesco were given Make, Model, Serial Number and description of the fault, the "Engineer" turned up without any parts and, after a 30 second inspection, informed us that it would be 10 to 14 days before he could repair the set. I pointed out that it was only 4 days to Christmas and, being partially sighted, I was unable to see the small portable set we had. He could not have cared less.
I then 'phoned Tesco and the attitude of the person I spoke to was equally indifferent. All he would say was that Tesco were allowed 28 days for a repair. He then offered me an 0870 number to 'phone Toshiba, which I refused, so he connected the call himself.
The young man at Toshiba was an absolute star. He said they would send out a new TV on 24th December and they did just that. He asked that, when the set arrived, we contact Tesco and tell them thst a repair would not be needed.
I duly 'phoned Tesco and told them and was told the Engineer would be informed.
On 29th and 30th December there were two messages on my ansaphone from them engineer asking when the could come and carry out the repair.
I have sent three e-mails to Tesco.com Customer Services and they have not had the decency to reply.

Check your grocery receipt for overcharging!

I have been ordering groceries online for years. I have trusted Tesco to charge me the price displayed on the website. Today I noticed on my receipt that I had been charged £3.88 for Felix cat food - yet on the website it was £3.20. I called them and they said they would refund the difference. But I pointed out to them that I don't usually check my receipt line-by-line - I just look at the overall cost and if it looks OK I get on with my life! Therefore there is a possibility that this happens on a regular basis. So I suggested that if they overcharge customers on a regular basis - no doubt this is how they make big profits. After all, most customers wouldn't notice a difference of a few extra pence on their receipt each week - but multiply that by millions of customers every week.... So I asked them to reassure me that this wasn't happening on a regular basis and they said THEY COULD GIVE NO SUCH REASSURANCE. Bizarre and very worrying. On another note - 5 months ago I bought a 'Delivery Saver' pass - i.e. paying for my deliveries upfront to get them 'free' for 6 months. Since then 9 out of 10 deliveries have been late. No apologies. One of the drivers told me that 'Delivery Saver' customers are put to the back of the list when drivers are running late because if they complain there is no delivery charge to refund. I put this to the customer services rep and she DID NOT DENY it. Needless to say, I have cancelled my delivery saver - and am seriously thinking of going back to Ocado.
IF YOU DO NOTHING ELSE - JUST CHECK YOUR RECEIPT CAREFULLY!!!!

Big disappointment Tesco Direct!

Ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tablet from Tesco Direct. Had an email to say it was in. When I arrived they couldn't locate it so I was asked to try again later. When I returned it was out of stock and couldn't be fulfilled before Christmas.
Not impressed. Now I have to wait for a refund which can take several days which means I am unable to try to get another one before Christmas. Disgusted with Tesco who should not be selling products and taking your money when the product is not in stock. Will not use again.

rubbish Tesco, thanks alot for a complete dissapointment

I made a pre-order for a PS4 way back at the end of June. With a couple of days to go I started to get a bit worried that I had heard nothing. I got in touch through tesco chat to be told I had been sent an email with a link to finish the purchase around the end of October. After questioning them on this they had sent it to an email address that wasn't even mine! Apparently because I hadn't clicked the link in the email I have lost my pre-order! I am absolutely livid. Thats exactly why I did my pre-order months ago, so I could make sure I got it. There was a) no mention when i made the pre-order that an email with a link would be sent out, I just assumed they would send it out to me and b) they sent it to the wrong email address!

and then i was phoned by a call centre worker who could just say 'Sorry' your order has gone to another customer!

Now no doubt I wont get one until February next year. So thanks a lot Tesco, you can kiss goodbye to the weekly shop we get with you but you dont care about that.

nasty and disappointing experience

I have now given up shopping at tesco, Tesco Metro in Neasden was the final straw.
Dirty and disorganized store, self service tills usually broken, most other tills appear to be just storage areas for returns and are never in use. Yo Yo artificial wine offers, they take the public as fools......
Baguettes which cheap quality are inedible the day after purchase
bitter, soggy coleslaw, all their own brand food just tastes 2nd rate....the list could go on and on.....
I now shop at Sainsburys....clean organised stores.....working tills......and most important tasty good quality food
