Great value for money

From our initial enquiries to the delivery of our sofa, all of our questions were answered and proven to be correct.
The 3-seater looks and feels great and of a high build quality.

The one wish I would have would be for the sofa to have a more substantial 'fire proof indicator' as it doesn't have one, and we had to destroy the one we were replacing due to the same failing, whereas it was still in excellent condition for a charitable shop or agency.

Yep, truly great sofa. Quality build and very comfortable. Delivery and service were good. If it could have all happened in a couple of weeks then that would be perfect 5 stars.

Good product but poor customer service

I odered a sofa from the Chesterfield company, it eventually arrived much later than initially promised, and it didn't look as good as the product images on the website (even though the sofa I ordered had the exact same specifications as the ones shown).

The customer service is poor for a company that does business online: they don't pick up the phone, if you email them it takes days to reply and most of all they're barely polite.

I wouldn't buy from them again.

Top quality leather chairs

The Chesterfield Company gave excellent personal service from initial queries about types of leather to delivery of 2 chairs with footstool. Very comfortable and luxurious.

Good quality product with reliable delivery service!

We ordered our sofa online pre-Christmas and got it delivered exactly the way we wanted it a few weeks after that. The customer service team was always friendly and helpful and the delivery service to London worked Without any problems. The sofa itself is of very good quality and we are very happy with our purchase. I would therefore recommend the Chesterfield Company to anyone.

Do check all conditions and make sure you record any damage on delivery.Fortunately the delivery company were great but staff at the Chesterfield were snide and unhelpful and despite fact I was only asking for £50 refund to cover extensive damage when sofa went into my stairs and cracked it as well as damage to wall.I would not order again as a result

CLASSY, COSY AND CHEAP

Just got a brand new chesterfield suite delivered a few months ago . The service was brilliant no hassles came exactly on the day it said it would no waiting around. The delivery men were cheerful and polite. The actual suite is made to a very high standard, no faults perfect. It looks very expensive but cost me less than the high street equivalent. I am really happy with the service and would definitely reccommend this company to anyone. No problems so far.

I had to order a new sofa as the driver said at would not fit up stairs with out trying so it went back to show room I've been waiting all this time for you to sell it and return my money I bought 2more sofas so I expect a bit of good faith but sill waiting after all this time

I am sorry that the 4str sofa you originally ordered didn't fit upstairs.

Unfortunately we can't visit all our customers homes prior to order to confirm suitability and this is unfortunately at the discretion and responsibility of our customers.

The carriers we use are professional furniture handlers, we rely on their skill and judgement to provide a great service. On delivery it was unfortunate they believed the furniture would not fit in the space you requested, and as a result we were unable to complete the delivery. We ask our carriers to ensure they handle our furniture with care, and they will not attempt to force an item into a home if they believe there is a risk of damage.

I am sorry it has taken longer than anticipated to sell the item, I will speak to our team on Monday and we will hopefully bring this to a close for you quickly.

kept well informed

we purchased 2 leather sofas in dec 11 and they are truly magnificent the compay kept us up to date with the progress and delivery date even the transport company were first class.The only negative thing was that we were told via e mail that if we completed a online survey we would recieve a leather cleaning kit through the post sadly this never materialised but over all we would not let this detract from an otherwise excellent service

Love it, Love it, love it.

The service and help from the staff over the phone is A1 could not ask for more.

They only thing I could say is a down side is the attchment of the fire safety label, could you attch to the underside of the sofa instead of the arm. This just means that if you move or want to get rid of it you can legeally sell it on,it has to be on the furniture to do this.

excellent service, excellent products, excellent value for money, what more do you want?

We searched all over the country and were very impressed with the quality of the furniture AND the price!! All our friends and family are very impressed and the Ox-blood suite provides an excellent setting for our lounge.

Good value and quality, but poor service, requiring chasing and reminding.

The order (and a subsequent one) appeared to have been forgotten. Several (3 or 4) calls were required to get the order fulfilled, but the total order time was excessive. Nevertheless, when the item arrived, it was good quality and good value.

The chesterfields that we ordered were very good value for money. Excellent quality and repair service( if needed ). The delivery of the couches was excellent, the drivers knew exactly how to maneouvre the couch into the space required. Communication through the whole process was also excellent. Highly recommend.

Great Sofa, Lovely quality leather

Found The Chesterfield Company online, and decided to buy my first piece of furniture without actually seeing it first. It was a nervous wait, but I am pleased to say that I am delighted with my purchase. The prices are excellent, much cheaper than I could find in my local stores, which is why I took the plunge and I am so glad I did. The delivery time quoted initially was 6 weeks, it did actually take 8 weeks, but I was called when the company became aware of the expected delay and although unfortunate, this was not a problem for me as I was kept informed.

Well worth the wait !

Poor customer services - expect very long waiting times

I am now into the 9th week since ordering and still awaiting my sofa.
I have experienced a total lack of information and updates on timing - have chased the company and it was difficult to get through.
I can only hope that the sofa will be worth the wait but this does not explain the horrid customer services experience.
I still find it hard to believe that even upon completing my order, I did not receive any estimated delivery date until I conctacted the company. They then first gave me an estimated delivery of 4 to 6 weeks. When I called three weeks later to check for an update, the delivery date had moved to 6 to 8 weeks with that being the absolute maximum. The 8 weeks deadline has passed yesterday...

Regarding your post, unfortunately I can't comment on your specific case as i'm unable to confirm your order / details from your first name alone.

I would like to say that following the launch of our new range of sofas in November 2011 the popularity of the new products did exceed our expectations, and initially as a result of this, a small number of customers have experienced delivery lead times above the 4 - 8 weeks we currently advise. The estimate lead time for production and delivery does vary with time of year and is seasonal, and this information is also available online from our FAQ section on our website home page.

Our team will always give delivery estimates that we believe are realistic and achievable, but as we do make all of our furniture to order, time scales will vary. In circumstances where a delay is expected we do try and contact customers to explain there will be a delay, whilst I can't look into your specific case, I would like to apologise as it would appear from your comments this wasn't the case. I do expect your furniture order is now with you and I do hope as you mention 'it was worth the wait'.

Good Quality at a Good Price

I bought my Chesterfield sofa a couple of months ago after looking at other suppliers.

The price was very good and customer service was excellent.

The Chesterfield still looks like new and I have recommended the Chesterfield Company to a couple of friends since.

quality is 100 per cent and only took 4 weeks from order to delivery

I actually visited the showroom to see the different suites and quality of leather and was impressed straight away, various styles and types of leather discussed with Kim and trusted her recommendation and order my suite. ( The Gladstone).

From order to delivery took just under 4 weeks and I had a few queries that were dealt with satisfactorily prior to receipt of suite.

Delighted with my purchase and know it will stand the test of times for many many years.

What fantastic value for money for a really good quality product.

Really pleased with the whole purchase from ordering on line to delivery there was no problems.

One year later the 3 piece suite is still lovely and comfy, looking really good.

we messed them around

Not many companys you can order furniture from and then delay them delivering for 3 months , we did have two buttons come off , but was sorted right away, no fuss

This company is very interested to sell but totally disinterested when customer has ongoing problems with their purchase.

Having bought a bespoke chesterfield which was delivered on time it is very disappointing to find that within some three months of nominal usage the settee shows extreme sagging of the leather seating. This resulted in two visits from upholsterers on behalf of the company to correct the fault/s followed by the company recollecting the settee for another repair in its workshop as the upholsterer refused to touch it due to potential splitting of the leather (in their opinion). When the settee was eventually returned it took only another week for the fault to again appear. At this time the company refused to take my calls and subsequently the settee has not again been inspected nor repaired. It is still in the same despicable condition. Needless to say my oringinal intention to purchase a second matching settee from this source has long since been discounted in favour of another company providing me with a much better product and at a lower price structure. The purchase from Forest Sofas Ltd , part of this group of companies which market under various names , is not an action to be either repeated nor recommended.

Love my chesterfield furniture

We moved to a new house one year ago which is when i brought our chesterfield furniture.
We had 2 x 3 seater and a 4 seater in grey which to me is more a cream colour which is what i wanted.
Everyone that visits comments on how nice they look.
From the moment we choose which style to have we had excellent service . I had to delay having them deliverd as the new build house was delayed slightly due to weather , it was no problem the company kepted them till we were ready.
Definately would recommend to people.

Excellent quality!

!8 months ago we purchased two 3 seater Chesterfields from the Chesterfield Company. The materials used and the build quality is excellent and indeed exceeded out expectaions. A similar item in a large department store would would have cost us three times as much.

Did what it said on the Packet

Very helpful in sending samples of the different leathers so I could decide which colour to go for. Goods delivered promptly by very helpful and careful delivery men.

All in all a good trouble free transaction and I was pleased with the quality of the sofa purchased.
