A perfect way to send a surprise gift
Not having used this service before, I was a little anxious about the outcome. Needn't have worried, as the whole thing went like clockwork - dates, times and items selected being exactly what was ordered. Delivery instructions were carried out to the letter, even down to the "leave in porch if out" request. Recipient was absolutely delighted, as indeed am I at the speedy efficiency of the entire transaction. Well done, shall certainly feel confident in using your services again!

Quality service and great price!
I'd looked on Google Groceries but the rum I was looking for (Koko Kanu) was about £4 cheaper at TheDrinkShop.com. Payment was fast and simple despite the website being optimised for desktop browsing I managed to place the order via my phone, sitting in a bar drinking the aforementioned nectar.
The order came within 4 days which was slightly slower than promised on the website, but very well packaged. Would definitely order from these guys again.

One word would do - disappointed
I can't review yet as unfortunately neither of the two orders I placed have been received, which isn't a great start really. You make the point that this is the responsibility of your couriers, not the drink shop, but it was the drink shop I contracted and paid to deliver two bottles as presents, so it is your responsibility to ensure that this happens.
The first was a birthday present, and I had left instructions to call the recipient if he was not home. He was not at home and didn't receive a call and the courier tracking system states that the delivery was made. We can only hope that the driver left it with a neighbour, but have not been able to check yet, as the recipient is now out of the country. His phone still works though, and there have been no calls from either neighbours or couriers.
The second was a bottle of whiskey for my father on Fathers Day. I live overseas so booked delivery for Friday 2 days before so he would know I had been thinking of him ahead of time and not made a last minute panic purchase. This didn't arrive and the tracking system says it is due to be delivered on Monday.
So basically both of my orders missed their intended mark of making someone feel special on their day. I'm disappointed.

The first order was to N Ireland, which is a two day service, clearly stated on our basket page, hence the delivery is due today, Monday, not Friday.
The 2nd order was left with a neighbour at No37. This can be seen from the tracking link we provide. Couriers do not call recipients first but are conscious in getting parcels delivered. The instructions you gave were, 'Please call if no-one home', which wouldn't then get the parcel delivered any sooner. We hope the neighbour duly gave your box over.

Excellent service - made sure we got our order!
it was a very straightforward process to book and I was really pleased with the speed of the delivery. We were out at the time but a neighbou,r five doors up accepted it for us. I was impressed that they persisted with delivery as all our other neighbours were out too. Our 4 bottles of St Germain were packaged very securely too.

Like the film; Almost Perfect
Everything about my online shopping experience with The Drink Shop (including the damn fine bottle of whisky) was great. The only reason they don't receive the student of the year award (a perfect 5 o' 5) is that I think the online search functionality can be definitely be improved (making recommendations based on certain criteria, for example) - especially for a novice like myself!

ive had some bad experiences with other places sending bottles improperly packaged, looked more like they had been packed by their children. I can say that i am very impressed with how the drink shop packaged the item i purchased. Not a broken bottle in sight, which was a relief as it was a gift for my husband. Which is going down very nicely with him (and smoothly). No more supermarket Brandy for him

easy & straight forward
Had a lovely experience, my only gripe is that the bottle was not secured inside the box, and could have broke.... i wouldn't know where i stand it that was the case. i did expect the bottle to be wrapped in bubble wrap at least, but just in a cardboard box, which was damaged when i took receipt from my neighbour

I ordered this for my husbands birthday as its is one of his favourite drinks. He was very happy to open his present and see a bottle of Koko Kanu. Its good to be able to find it online, and at a great price too. It was delivered very quickly and was packaged very well. Excellent service.

Good but slow
Very happy I could get this rare kind of spirit on their webpage, but the loooong delivery time certainly doesn't justify how much they charge for freight. Got what I wanted, nonetheless.

Excellent Range Of Products And Excellent Prices
What can I say? This website is a real gem. If you are looking for something extra special at a good price whereas your local places (supermarkets etc.) don't have it, then this is a one stop place to get it. I have been up to Scotland a few times and sampled some knockout whiskies that you just don't get on the high street and it is a real find to be able to get these outstanding whiskies in england. Also there has been the few bottles of cognac that you can never get on the high street. So thank-you thedrinkshop.com for fufilling a much needed service.

What a Choice!
The Drink Shop provides a great service. The order is always well-packed and arrives quickly.
But the main reason I use them is to surprise my husband with brands and blends that he's never heard of, so I'm never at a loss for birthday and Christmas presents.
I'm not an expert on drinks nor is my Husband a heavy drinker (I realised that I made him sound like one!) but I find the choices provided by this Company, amazing!

Always a pleasure never a chore

Have been using this company and web site for years. It is easy to navigate and pick the products. It is easy to pay for the goods and you can add a message if it is for a gift and you can even leave a message for the courier if you want it leaving with a neighbour or in my case I maybe on nights so am a little slower getting to the door.
The goods always come very securely wrapped with plenty of support to protect their precious contents.
Have recommended before to my friends and I look forward to my next foray into their shelves of goodies.

The perfect addition to our party

left waiting weeks for my party alcohol because a syrup was not available!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelieveable, had my order in a week before my cocktail party and got it a week after my party because the agave syrup wasn't available at the same time! You would think the drinks company would email me that was the case and ask if I can wait or if I want my alcohol straight away rather than just keep me waiting. Also there was no mention of any delay when I ordered or I would not have oredered.
This was my second order in as many weeks so I was a repeat customer. I will not be a customer again.
