Disastrous support

It's been a month since I ordered a game and I have not yet received.
Although I once responded by the technical support, has been neither fast nor useful.

I'm very frustrated with this service, and although the offers are very good i'll never buy in this site anymore.

I only found out about The Hut in the last few years but have used them many times. They have great quality clothing at unbeatable prices! I have transformed my collection of clothes from TheHut. The free option of delivery can be quite slow but this can be expected,as quicker options are available. I would recommend The Hut to anyone!

Fast shipping, great product, packaged good too

I received my package within 3 days and was very happy with how it was packed up and presented, theitem was neatly folded and ready to wear straight away. It was an easy transaction and i am very happy with the service they provided.

SHOCKING after sales service. Would seriously put me off ever purchasing from the HUT again

Good products at good prices but website is designed to make it VERY hard to arrange a return (clothes in my example). It's the website equivalent of those automated call centres where you have to jump through a million hoops before you actually get the option you want. I'd only ever purchase from the HUT again if I was 95% certain I wouldn't need to return the products ie not clothes

No problems with order. Easy and straightforward.

The only issue I have is with the courier, who saw fit to throw my package some 20' onto my back lawn where it sat for goodness knows how long, as s/he couldn't be bothered to at least pop a note through my letterbox to say where it was!
My front door is fully accessible, and the rear garden gates were open - they could've left it by the back door, but no, lobbing it across the grass was easier. I suspect it was thrown from the van whilst driving past, so the lazy tinker didn't even need to get out. What a tool!

Other than that, good service from TheHut.

Easy payment, fast delivery and quality stuff

Will defiantly use again, got a whole new wardrobe of t shirts for 70 quid.

Best e-commerce site

There's often good deals on TheHut. I recommend it to everyone.

Great price, good quality.

Was looking for a plain grey hoodie and was very pleased with the free socks as a bonus. Quality of the items was great and I wouldn't find a better price. Only (minor) quibble is that the hoodie arrived a week after the socks.

Very difficult to return orders

OMG I placed a order with The Hut, but sadly none of the items fitted me. No I have not gained weight on my holiday! Wanted to return all items so started to look around on their website to find out how to return the order. Well I have a university degree but it took me a very long time to find out how. No email no phone numbers anywhere to be found. To return things you first need to get a authorisation code from them, which took me almost a week. It costed me £8 pounds to return the order.
Must admit that The Hut have nice stuff, but they really need to change their return procedure, until they do I will not place another order. So now I have actually lost 8lbs in weight, from the stress of returning my order which I will never get back by the looks of it.

By far The Best shopping site I have ever encountered

This place always has the best prices, a wide range of goods. The web site itself is very well made, easy to navigate and find everything you need. Did I mention unbeatable prices?

Avoid at all costs

I am having the almost exact same problem as Claire, below. It is impossible to return an item! I eventually got them to send me an exchange number by bombarding the customer services address with emails. They kept replying that they were unable to help me, and I had to do it through 'my account' on the website even though I explained over and over again that that way did not work. Some customer services! In the end I sent them several emails a day (no telephone number) until they finally sent me a returns number and details of how to return an item.

So I sent back my item 3 weeks ago and have still not received a refund or any correspondence. I've sent them an email today but I'm not holding my breath.

Impossible to return an item - approach with care!!!

I've copied the returns process below from Max Cookney's review of 30 April 2013 with a couple of amends. Goods were initially ordered easily and received before the estimated shipping process - all good. No delivery note or paperwork in the package on receipt, no contact phone number on the website.
The Hut's returns process. If you need to return an item, you are advised to contact customer services for an authorisation number. I read the online instructions for contacting them: there is no telephone helpline, you can only send them a message via their own portal, BUT, whenever I clicked on the 'create new message' button, I kept getting an error message saying 'You have no orders to make an enquiry about'! There is an alternative button for placing a 'query' against an existing order, but when you choose 'Refunds' from the drop-down list, you just end up being redirected to a page showing their refunds policy. The only other option was to send an email to the only other contact email address (customer.relations@thehut.com), which I did.

Unbelieveably I got a response that said thanks for your e-mail, we only take feedback on this e-mail address, use the website for returns. I replied to this e-mail saying I had tried to use the function on the website and failed and could they forward my e-mail to someone who could help. I'm still waiting a week later. So I'm now going to try and find someone I know who wants the item I'm trying to return.

Personally I would say approach with caution, if my experience is anything to go by.

The products are ok, you can find great deals but the delivery is very slow. I placed the order on the 21th of april and the goods got here on the 14th of may.

I'm quite aware I can't purchase anything to give a gift, since the date the pack arrives is unpredictable.

In any case I can't wait for next deals. I'm addicted.

Lot of stuff with good prices

Very good ecommerce site, where you can fill all your needs for games, movies, music and men's fashion. Been a customer for many years, Few times I've have had wrong item that I haven't ordered, but you can allways do a return, altough you must pay for the return postages, but they will refund those later.

gute Preise

HIer kann man prima DVDs, Blu-rays und Spiele einkaufen. Dazu noch Klamotten, was mich aber nihct interessiert. CDs gibts leider keine mehr, wurden letztes Jahr abgeschafft. Die Preise für Filme und Spiele sind aber aber sehr gut.

Compro sempre qui i miei giochi per console, risparmio a volte il 50% rispetto ai negozi. Conviene per davvero e li spediscono in italiano!

I have recent brought a number of items from TheHut, they have always been well priced with lots of great offers on a range of products. Delivery has always been good, I have only used the free delivery option but my orders are always dispatched quickly and arrive in good time.

Good but room for some improvement.

This was the first order I've placed with The Hut. Initially, things looked promising. The ordering process was simple and delivery was within the promised timescale with full tracking updates. I cannot fault this aspect of the service.
My order was mixed - shoes, clothes and a DVD. All arrived well packaged, albeit without any packing note/receipt. The DVD & shoes were fine but the polo shirts I'd chosen were a disappointment and of a poor fit/quality. "Not a problem" I thought "I'll just return them for a refund".
Okay, here's the problem: The Hut's returns process. If you need to return an item, you are advised to contact customer services for an authorisation number. The other thing I'm a little annoyed about is the promotion on a 3pack of polo shirts. The offer read "SAVE AN EXTRA whatever%, ENTER CODE...". This effectively made the shirts more than half price. Now, alarm bells should have started ringing; I do a lot of online shopping, and in all honesty, if these shirts had been 'honestly labelled' at the low price I actually paid, I doubt I would have bought them for fear of them being of a quality indicative of that price, but I thought it was a genuine promotion and I was getting a good deal saving 58% or whatever it was. Remember the old adage "if looks too good to be true..." etc. Enough said. I think you'll be okay with any other products offered by The Hut, but for clothing you may wish to apply a little more caution before ordering (pay attention to product reviews).
I'd recommend that before you order anything from any website (especially clothes), check the returns policy and check to see if there's an easy way to contact the company in the event of a problem. TheHut.com is almost there, but I feel they could learn a thing or two from some of their competitors, particularly those who take steps to make the returns process as painless as possible for their customers.
After seeing my initial Trust Pilot review, The Hut's customer service team were quick to respond and took positive steps to make things better. That, in itself, is a rarity and I commend them for doing so.
