The quality of workmanship and value from ‘ThinLenses’ is just superb!
The type of lens I need is not normally offered without much arguing. No such annoyance here!
Accuracy and lens finish was an absolute necessity. The result - a perfect lens finish with an Excellent Ant-reflect coating.
I ordered what I thought was a cheap frame to keep the price to a minimum but, I needn’t have worried as the quality is better than my expensive frames.
I was a little sceptical about buying glasses online – but now with a company I can now trust I will return again. A very pleasing experience. I’m impressed! Thank you ThinLenses.

excellent quality lenses so much thinner then iv'e had before from any optician.
The glasses are surprisingly so much better than I was expecting. I was nervous about ordering on-line as I have always bought my glasses from the high street optician's but no need to as excellent quality, amazingly very fast delivery just over a week I normally have to wait up 6 weeks to receive them will definitely be using again.
Thank you for a brilliant service, would recommend to anyone. '

Well done thin lenses
I have worn glasses for 58 years and was very cautious about ordering on line.
Ash and the lady , I'm sorry i have forgot her name' was very patient.
I phoned up lots of times asking the most obvious questions and Thin lenses answered them with patience.
After going through the ordering process and still more phone calls to Ash I ordered the glasses and they turned up about ten days later.
At first I thought the lenses were wrong . I phoned Ash who patiently talked me through adjusting the frames and :Hey Presto : all turned out fine.
Even though I have worn glasses for 58 years now I realize I still have things I can learn.
The high street opticians are OK but are to expensive
If worried about ordering from Thin Lenses do not worry they deliver what they say

Outstanding service..100% happy
I have had years of disappointment with high street opticians ,having a very complex and strong prescription, I have always been disappointed with the (expensive) results of having lenses thinned.
I got an immediate reply after e mailing this company with fantastic advice offered to me..bought some frames, sent them off and two weeks later I was astounded when they arrived. Never had glasses like them before..the lightest, thinnest lenses I have ever owned. I was ecstatic. The price was much cheaper than any amount paid before and I cannot praise and recommend them enough.

This was personal service of a standard that I would only have expected from a small organisation which thought I was their most important customer.
My wife opened her glasses case to find that one of the lenses was broken. I rang ThinLenses from whom we had bought the glasses a couple of years ago and spoke to Ash Mehta. I asked if he could get me a lense so that I could have the glasses reglazed locally. Ash said that he could do this but wondered if I understood the process of reglazing glasses - I didn't, and when he had explained it I said I would like ThinLenses to do the job for us. Not having a spare pair of glasses we decided to order a pair and Ash was extremely helpful in finding our prescription, suggesting that my wife needed a new eyetest, and helping her choose a suitable frame. We ordered the glasses so that we would have them before sending the other pair off to be reglazed. Ash clearly expedited our order as our need was fairly acute, and we got the new pair within days. We could not be more impressed with the efficient, helpful and friendly way in which we were treated.

Excellent.
I bought a pair of eyeglasses from ThinLenses with double aspheric lenses. Received them after 2 weeks. Great quality. When you switch between eyeglasses and contact lenses, you notice that with eyeglasses everything appears to be smaller. Not so with double aspheric lenses. I liked them so much that I sent 2 pair of older eyeglasses to Thinlenses, to have the lenses replaced with double aspheric lenses. Turn around time 2 and a half weeks! I highly recommend Thinlenses.

Quality Reglaze Service, highly recommended.
A very reasonable price for reglazing a pair of 1.9 index glass lens. Delivery time in less than 2 weeks. Plus, the person that manned the hotline was friendly and gave really useful info.

I have use thinlenses.co.uk twice in a row (last year & this year) and i am very satified with the quality of the product + service they delivers. My glasses arrived within the 12 days time frame which is very fast compare to high street retailers. They offer very value for money for their lenses- On high street i would have paid at least £300 for thinning the lenses as i have very high prescription The only thing that could i could suggest is that they should increase their glasses frames ranges a bit more, especially for men and high prescription customers. Keep up the excellent work and Thank you very much.

Outstanding service, quality and value.
I have now purchsed my third pair of glasses from ThinLenses and must say I am extremely happy with all of them. With a very high optical presciption I found it especially difficult to obtain a
suitable pair of glasses from the high street who incidentally wanted double the price. The service was friendly,fast and efficient. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

The whole experience has been fantastic!
From the minute I pressed the 'Order' button to finally recieving my new specactles it has been superb. Within seconds I was contacted by telephone & given further advice & guidance on my selection in relationship to my prescription. It ensured that I didn't end up with spectacles that looked ridiculaus on me.
They arrived on time & I was delighted with them, but through no fault of Thinlenses I needed to return them. They kept in contact with me throughout the whole process with constructive advice & information.
I have been so impressed by their attention to detail & genuine desire to ensure I am fully satisfied. I initially tried them out with my prescription sunglasses & as a result of the experience I ordered my 'Every Day' spectacles from then.
A better service & more cost effective than the high street opticians.

Hard to find frames and nice quality lenses easily ordered online
I was amazed that this company had a set of these Gucci GG 3047 frames left in stock since this model is from 2-3 years ago. The installed lenses seemed to be of very good quality and clarity. My only complaint is there was some slight scratches on the arms of the frames but not really noticeable unless you look at them closely

Great range of glasses and lenses at great prices
I have ordered several pairs of glasses through Thin Lenses now. They have a great range of frames, an excellent selection of high index (thin) lens options, including sunglasses, all at great prices. Turnaround is quick and I have always been very pleased with the glasses. As good as my local optician, but with a much wider range and cheaper prices.

Most helpful to a picky customer
I was most impressed by the service I received from Thin lenses. They were always happy to answer my multitude of question, either by email or phone. They helped me pick the best frames for my prescription & the end result was just as they said it would be. I received an email to say my glasses were ready & being sent out & I received them the next day. All this for a service that is much cheaper than the high street.

good helpful service
I ordered a pair of varifocals. Very happy with the service and price so went back and ordered prescription sunglasses. Would use them again. Would like to see more frames on offer and a frame trial and buy service. With both pairs of glasses I bought the frames separately (to try out at home) and then used the reglaze service for the lenses. Would recommend them to friends and family.

Excellent Service - Recommended!
I placed my order late one night and realised once I had sent it that I had put the wrong prescription in! I received an email within 5 minutes querying the mistake and sorting it out! I was very impressed with that service. Received the glassses within 5 working days. Would definitely use again.

Just as I expected
Did a lot of research beforehand and finally got a pair of glasses I'm happy to wear. Unlike the last pair I got from the optician. Which also cost twice as much too!

Brilliant service
If you ave any doubts, speak to Ash at this company. He clearly knows his stuff, and was very helpfulful throughout the ordering process - so much so that I ordered a second pair. I have a high plus prescription and he has delivered lenses that are far thinner and better than high street opticians have ever been able to provide, at considerably lower cost.

As I have a really strong prescription I have always bought from my local optician and paid a small fortune for my glasses. I called Thinlenses to ask for some advice and they were really helpful, guiding me through the whole process of picking the correct lenses and best type of frame for my prescription. In end I got a great looking pair of designer glasses with lenses that are much thinner than my normal ones for less than half the price I usually pay.

Excellent Service
I was really struggling to find new glasses and a recent test prompted me to hunt in ernest. The Thinlenses site was great because I could look at the frames, try them on "virtually" and compare styles. I was still anxious and I contacted them regarding sizes and lense type and they were really helpful. I got my order sorted quickly and they look great. With the money I saved on my "designer" frames I am now looking for a second pair (and my wife is also bugging me for some sunglasses!!!)

Really Happy
I sent my frames them for reglazing and I couldn't be happier. I was impressed with the way the customer service team answered all my questions so quickly and efficiently. My glasses arrived yesterday and the new high index lenses are perfect! I have a -13 and -10 prescription and I have never had lenses so thin before. I will be purchasing all my glasses from here in the future. Great site with GREAT customer service.

abysmal lenses, Very disappointed
I paid for the thinnest, flattest most expensive lenses (1.76 double aspheric) and what I got delivered was anything but. They were the thickest and heaviest lenses I have ever had, you wouldn't believe there was any high indexing involved at all. They were at least twice as thick if not more than my old lenses which are a lower index and are not double aspheric.
Even my prescription sunglasses which have larger frames and which I don't like wearing because the lenses are too heavy, are still not as bad as these from ThinLenses.
On top of that they also screwed up the prescription (all blurry) and bent the frames as well, so the glasses were not even usable at all and destroyed the screw heads on the frames so I can't even remove the lenses.
Considering what good reviews they seem to have on here and as they claim to specialise in high prescription I really expected a lot more.

Easy, efficient and fast............
Here in the US you cannot get 1.9 high index lenses so I've had to send my glasses to the UK for re-glazing since I moved here in 2005.
The Thinlensses.co.uk experience has been eye opening. I mailed my glasses and had them back re-glazed quicker than my local optician can offer. Superlative: faster, better product and even cheaper.

A wonderful service and the thinnest lenses I've ever had!
For the first time in my life, I'm happy to wear glasses. I'm very short sighted and no optician ever told me that glass lenses were the thinnest option - they insisted I have plastic lenses. Now I have my new glass lenses, I no longer have that awful bottle-bottom specs look! A brilliant quick service too

Apart from face-to-face service, Thinlenses are comparable to the High St
I had replacement lenses from Thinlenses.co.uk a year ago and I have just had new lenses fitted by them into new, expensive, frames brought elsewhere for which I didn't fancy paying through the nose for the optics.
They're straightforward to deal with. Just because they're vastly more competitive on price than the high street doesn't mean the work, materials, communication, and service is of a lower standard. On the contrary, they're very good in all respects. Although I would hate to see the town centre without opticians, I can't think why one should pay so much for the same product. Sometimes high st opticians service can be over-fussy and cloying too. The high street opthamologists really need to broaden the services they offer at more competitive prices. And , if you required more incentive, returning customers to Thinlenses get 10 percent off their next bill. That means the high index lenses I had in my recent frames were £110 cheaper than what a nationwide 'budget' optician fanchise quuoted.
They could improve, by selling top-end designer frames. That would make them competitive all round. But I doubt such manufacturers are prepared to discount.

Awesome will recommend to everyone!!!!
First of all customer service was awesome, answered every question I had. Second, delivery was about 12 days and I live in the USA. Third, my Rx is -8.00.... these 1.9 high indexes are great, they look more like an average -3.00 lens! Very pleased with these glasses. I recommend for anyone who likes the look of glasses over contacts without the bottlecap effect.

Fabulous value and quality you won't be able to find on high street
Received my new lenses in my frame in less than two weeks. My queries prior to making order were answered courteously and this is the second time I've used Thinlenses. Really nicely finished - quality looks improved since my first pair last year- who needs expensive Zeiss lenses anymore - thinlenses offer a very good alternative. I'm saying this is as someone who from the early 90s only wore Zeiss high index lenses as my prescription is - 8.70 and -7.50. Until I discovered Thinlenses last year I was paying close to £300 for Zeiss lenses alone (excluding frames). Added bonus - I had a 10% discount as I'd bought before. All in all, an excellent buying experience. Keep up the good work Thinlenses and remember, don't ever get complacent!

Okay
Rimless glasses and the inner securing screws/nuts had not been treated with a locking solution - the result was the glasses fell to pieces within a couple of hours. My local optician kindly remedied the problem without charge. They did however make some comments about the firm that had assembled my glasses.
