Don't buy Ticketmaster Gift Cards

Ticketmaster have just stolen £50 from me by denying my Gift Card and saying it had expired. The problem is I was given it as a present last May and as they do not have the expiry date printed on the card I thought it was still in date, but I was wrong. I asked what I could do now and was basically told that as it had the terms printed in tiny text on the back it was just hard luck. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they would ring me back but of course they didn't. I have been reading on different blogs and I think my chance of getting my money refunded is zero which I think is daylight robbery.

Hiked up prices - tickets on affiliate site +33GBP in under an hour

Buying tickets for "big shows" through Ticketmaster is just such a horrible experience. Especially when you've logged on early to try and get something decent and an affiliate website (aka professional tout) has taken them all. It's even worse when you get "Sorry these tickets aren't available here" and a little graphic is displayed advertising the affiliate site (an hour after on-sale) to the right saying "Buy tickets in the best places for 75 quid" when the normal price is 42 quid.

Ticketmaster's Customer Services team is great

Ticketmaster’s online complaint form is VERY poor – wouldn’t let me submit it, because it kept saying “you need to fill in all mandatory fields” – even though I HAD.

However, Ticketmaster’s Customer Services team (@TicketmasterCS on twitter) are great!
They responded really quickly to my initial tweet, and then sorted out my ticket problem fast.

Looking at the posts here, it seems that the Ticketmaster Customer Services team is getting consistently positive reviews (4 or 5 star).
Looks like it’s the rest of the Ticketmaster operation that is performing poorly (typical rating is just 1 star).
Hopefully, the Customer Services team can teach the rest of Ticketmaster a thing or two!

Rubbish company big con

Difficult site to negotiate every time you want to look for seats that dam squiggly writing come up which if poor sighted you can't read and the mp3 version of speech is appalling so slurred you have difficulty in even picking out what is supposed to have been said.
Bought ticket master gift cards as presents at premium prices then they have the ordacity to say you must use them within 12 months of purchase WHY ? If your not told the purchase date how can you be expected to use them within 12 months. When the time expires the purchaser has lost all that money not even a chance to extend the booking time.
RUBBISH COMPANY ABSOLUTE RIP OFF DONT EVER BY ANYONE GIFT TOKENS IN FACT AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Supplier of last resort

I would really avoid this organisation. No ticket delivery, and only 3 days to go. What makes it worse is that it's a free ticket, so the sponsor also loses any goodwill they hoped to generate through their generous offer.
1 star, because you have to give them one, but I don't think they're worth it.

Shame you have to give them one star

I had four people online at 9.00am this morning from different cities trying to buy two tickets for Paulo Nutini concert at the O2 Apollo Manchester. Surprise surprise they were all sold out, only to appear on get me in which is owned by Ticketmaster for nearly treble the face value.

They had a fans pre buy two days before general release, I was on there on the dot at 9.00am again sold out. Now once maybe I'm unlucky but four people from different cities,Manchester, Liverpool, London, Carlisle, something very not right there.

My advice would be to use Redmist sell your unwanted tickets there for face value, lets start fighting back to these greedy companies hit them where it hurts.

Customer Service cares nothing for the customers!

I have been on the phone for the last 25 minutes, and was told there was nothing that could be done about a disservice. First, I was told that my money could not be refunded because I was a day late sending an email. My email was never answered. Then I speak to Joe from the escalation department. He basically told me there was nothing he could do about it. This is not an example of a good customer support team! If you expect to have returning customers, you may want to rethink some policies and procedures. I know many theater and concert goers in Columbus, Ohio and other cities as well! I don't think my review of your company's experience will go well for them. So now I am out about $50 and do not feel secure about ever giving my money to anything that has Ticeketmasters name on it. Who knows how many more after I mention the dissatisfaction. Easier to keep a customer than to get new ones. You just lost one.

Keep your hands off.

I ordered my tickets five months ago. I wrote them twice but my request was not really taken seriously, although I already paid for the ticket and the service fee. I am flying all the way to England and have booked a plane ticket and a hotel just to see the concert. -_-

Rubbish keeps timing out when you try to bu tickets

This is a rubbish site when you press the buy button it says its connecting you to its other site and then after 5 minutes waiting for it to connect it keeps saying no gateway
Dont touch with a bargepole if you are desperate for tickets use another company as you will be disappointed.

I waited and waited and waited and…well still waiting.

I logged onto the site. I knew their was gonna be high traffic, but tickets go on sale at 10, but BOOM you have to have an NYU code. That was weird, but a couple minutes of refreshes and BOOM I'm in line. 8 minutes…not bad….then 7 minutes…now we're cooking…now 8 minutes again…whatever…now 9. minutes. We'll that's weird…back to 7…ok…keep going…now 5…then 4…now now…3 minutes!!! AND that was almost an hour ago. Ticketmaster, you have a monopoly on ticket sales. You bully, overcharge and make sure you are the biggest ticket provide. It has made you greedy, lazy and unhelpful. No one likes…and now I agree with them. Pearl Jam was right.

Is Ticket master going bust.?

When I phoned to book theatre tickets They denied my gift card number existed. Then put me on hold at premium rate , never to return, I waited 13 minutes. . This Company has some serious problems . Never buy a gift card they are a shambles. They are taking money under false pretences. I predict you will be seeing them in the hands of receivers soon. Beware.

Unbelievably poor!

It's 12 days before the event and no tickets. No problem I will just call them or visit their web page to see what is happening.
1. Call the number advertised and it's a paid for call with a long preamble that finishes: 'our agents are there to book tickets'. Right. Thanks for the help!
2. Off to the website and no matter how often you type in your query to: 'ask a question'
nothing happens except you get redirected to a FAQ page that does not help at all.
Ggrrrr.
3. Fed up with this nonsense and knowing I cannot be the only person with a query I search Trustpilot and all becomes clear.
Well, I wanted to go to the concert but if I don't get satisfaction I am glad I paid by credit card as a refund will be made if there are no tickets 48 hours before the show.
As for the future, no way will I use Ticketmaster (is this an oxymoron?) again.

Disgraceful being charged for ticket insurance which didn't needed.

I recently bought 6 tickets and at first try was reading all the small prints and time at the bottom right of the screen run out so had to try again went back to beginning started again at the last page saw terms and conditions was highlighted so thought was theirs so ticked the box at last moment and than got message saying thanks for buying insurance what insurance just bought tickets for events and they passed the details so insurance company doesn't even needs to us they just help themselves.and the costumer service is so unhelpful they think this will carry on like that but I think one day they will upset someone very important and that will be their end.

A company that does not treat its customers like adults

They only send tickets to the billing address. Why! Almost every other company allows you to have a billing address and shipping address. There are logical reasons for this. Most people do what is called WORK. Meaning, they are not always at their billing address, which usually is their home address, because they WORK!

I have now ordered two tickets from this company and both times, even though I stated to send it to my work address where somebody will be in to sign for them, because I won’t be at my home to sign for them and therefore it is a waste of time them sending them there, they said their policy is that they can't do that and have to send them to my billing address. They make us pay to send the tickets so it’s our money and we should be able to have the tickets that we bought with our own money sent to wherever we want to send them. And now, again, I’ve had to call their expensive phone line to have my tickets resent. However, they are able to resend them to a different address, which they weren’t able to do the first time. Why?! And I have once again been charge £5.50 to have them sent out to me again, knowing full well that I wouldn’t be able to get them the first time they sent them to me.

So many people have complaints about this and I’ve already decided not to go to one gig because the purchase of the tickets needed to go through Ticketmaster. This company does not listen to its customers and just ignores them. And it’s ridiculous for them to pass this off as a security issue, for they are sending the resends out to where customers want but just strangely ignoring their requests the first time. And I’ve just ordered two tickets from top venues that do not use Ticketmaster and both times I was considered adult enough to decide where I want my tickets sent out to. Ticketmaster obviously doesn't consider their customers to be adults.

Avoid!!!

Unless you want to pay double price avoid TM. I bought 3 tickets for London Lions for over £60 through TM only to discover that if I have bought them directly through Lions' website I'd have paid £30. I won't make the mistake of using ticketmaster again.
They also charge for "ticket delivery" via email. OUTRAGEOUS!

DISGRACEFUL AS CHARGED FOR AN INSURANCE I DIDNT WANT

I WAS CHARGED £5 PER TICKET FOR AN INSURANCE I DIDNT WANT AND CERTAINLY DID NOT ORDER.
THIS IS UNETHICAL AND DISGRACEFUL.

Very helpful customer service

After making a mistake with dates for a Christmas Present (Cirque Du Soleil tickets)...I tweeted the customer service team, who replied within 2 minutes providing me with an email address to contact.
Lucy who replied to me was a star....offering me initially to exchange tickets for another date. I needed to attend at a different venue so Lucy kindly allowed me to book tickets for another venue, and then issue a refund on my previously bought tickets.
Excellent prompt, professional responses by both email and twitter....I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Impossible to contact except on premium rate phone lines.

I recently read in the media that Ticketmaster make a charge for printing a ticket at home. Not quite believing this I made several attempts to email the company but the Contact Us doesn't allow for this unless it is for an event or problem of some sort after tickets have been bought. No phone numbers work on the alternatives given on SAYNOTO1870...so I can only conclude that Ticketmaster, despite no doubt selling thousands of tickets, is a company that one should consider carefully about using. Charging for printing tickets at home is most likely true.
