Dreadful - lied constantly

I booked tickets for Rodriguez at Hammersmith back at the beginning of March. Then heard nothing. Emailed about 2 weeks before the event and thus began the saga of lies and contradictions. One email said the tickets had been sent and were lost, the next that they hadn't been sent but I should wait. Then in one email both stories were told. In all I had about a dozen emails saying different things. Eventually someone responded on FB and said they'd been lost in the post and could be collected on the day. Only a day later someone else emailed to say they hadn't ever been sent. Frankly I was reduced to tears. I didn't know what to believe. Fortunately the tickets were waiting at the venue to be collected but I promise I will never use Ticketweb again - they can't be trusted. And the ticket clerk at Hammersmith said they have the most dreadful trouble with them. Stay well clear!

Don't believe the (negative) hype

I was initially rather worried about purchasing from Ticketweb given the other reviews on TrustPilot - concert tickets are notorious for either not turning up, arriving late or being wrong in terms of venue, artist or time. So when I read a tonne of negative reviews /after/ purchasing my ticket for an upcoming gig in London (VNV Nation in November), I was quickly reviewing the refund policy just in case.

I bought my tickets on the 18th of March and went through a fairly painless booking procedure, even if I did end up paying £2.50 p&p and another £2.50 booking fee for a £20 ticket - though fees seem to be standard everywhere and Ticketweb were certainly cheaper than See Tickets who wanted a full £5 booking. There were two options for delivery - e-ticket or posted out, but they both (for some bizarre reason) cost the £2.50. Opting for the security of physical tickets, I had them posted out.

Order confirmed! Brill, and according to the website the ticket would be posted out within 48 hours. Okay, so... 48 hours. No dispatch notice. Okay, well maybe it's 72 hours - the concert isn't for a few months, they might be waiting for more purchases to do a print run.

Four days later, motivated by the negative reviews here, I did ask for an update on the Ticketweb facebook page. If you're going to ask a question, publicly allows for very little wriggle room. Thankfully, the post was answered with a 'Yup, they're being printed/dispatched, will be out for delivery soon'.

Lo and behold, the hold up wasn't actually ticketweb - it was Royal Mail. The tickets took about a week to arrive, which is forgivable given the Royal Mail 5 - 7 working days time frame. The tickets arrived in a branded Ticketweb envelope, with a colourful ticket holder inside. And one ticket, complete with pretty shiny hologram.

I will admit, Ticketweb seem to be a bit hit and miss judging by their facebook page. It seems to be a fairly even split between those complaining and those praising, though the complaints do seem to get answered if you complain publicly (as I did above).

If push comes to shove the contact details are available on the website here: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/help/helpdesk/?l=en-us&tm_link=tm_i_1&language=en-us&tm_link=tm_i_1

and here they are for your information:

'If you need help or have a question please use the "Ask a Question" feature above or call Customer Services on 08444 999 999.

The lines are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 8.00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. International Customers please call +44 (0) 161 425 7563.'

I hope this review helps you make a decision. I had no problems with the company, but at least if you do you can get some assistance. :)

DONT BUY TICKETS ON TICKETWEB UK!!

In Dec I bought 3 tickets for a gig in February and never got them!!!
They charged my account though a few days after my order!!
Then I tried to call them (nobody was answering) and I tried to find a contact email-adress in the whole freaking Internet: NOTHING!!!! No way to contact them!!

So I put my first complaint on their facebook wall, someone called Jason answered me and told me he's gonna take care of my case! That was a few days before the concert and he never got in contact with me again!!

So just a few minutes ago I posted a similar comolaint to this on their fb-wall again and.... Surprise: it got deleted a few seconds after posted!!!

I am really pissed!!! This is just a really easy way for a company to earn his living!!!

DONT BUY FROM TICKETWEB UK!!!

Ticketweb

HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, RIP OFF, DO NOT USE THEM

I booked for a show that did not exist in the first place, very difficult to book, finally I could do it and had to pay 28 pounds per person (4) when we arrived they told us there was not show at that venue and sent us to another venue but they did not recognise the booking reference and we had to pay again, but this time directly from the show organisers it was 12.50 per person. I spent 112 pounds, 10 minutes worth of premium number the day I wanted to book, another 15 minutes worth of premium number trying to talk to someone only for them to hang up after reading to me a lot of possible options ..... I spent 30 pounds on the cab from one venue to the other, there is no email you can use to contact them, only numbers that make you give them more and more money, maybe this is the new business they have, premium telephone money. And more importantly, I am wasting a lot of my time trying to get my money back and discrediting them so they improve or go. I will fight until I get my money back, and I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN, OR ANYONE THAT I KNOW IF I CAN HELP IT.

Ticketweb

Shockingly poor service

The only smooth part of the whole transaction was the efficient transfer of money from my account to theirs.

Ordered (and paid) for tickets 4 MONTHS prior to the concert and I had to chase them all the way right up to the day of the concert to find where the tickets where. A believe me they do NOT make it easy to contact them. In the end they told (not asked) me to collect the tickets from the venue. When I got to the venue they knew that TicketWeb had sold a number of tickets but had not been told who had what seats despite emailing them for the information.
Out of frustration I asked TicketWeb if they would be refunding the 'delivery' cost considering they did not deliver them and I collected them and was told 'Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your handling as the collection charge is the same cost as the delivery charge'.
So be warned the service charge is a levy applied for the privilege of receiving such a sterling 'customer service experience'.

DO NOT BUY FROM TICKET WEB

I brought tickets to a concert that was supposed to start at 9pm. I paid $105 for VIP tickets. After waiting in the rain I finally was admitted inside at 8:30pm. The performer who I paid to see did not come out until 11:30pm. Duiring the two and a half hour lapse I left due to being fustrated and tired. When I contacted TicketWeb for a refund they said there was a sound check problem and ultimately the performer did perform so I was not entitled to a refund. After a two and a hald hour lapse I am not entitled to refund?? There was not a sound check problem because people from the audience were going on stage performing just to kill time. I will never purchase from here again. Take my word for it please do not become another one of their victims.

Terrible Service

I never recieved my New Years Eve event ticket in the mail so contacted TicketWeb as was directed to. My ticket was supposed to be at Will Call. I arrived at the event with my boyfriend whose ticket had arrived and was turned away by the extremely rude manager. He told me it was a ticket web issue and there was nothing he could do. He took my boyfriends ticket away and left us withno options. I called TicketWeb the next day to get a refund for both tickets and they seemed upset and concerned. They accepted a simple "no refunds given" from the bar. They did not require any reason nor contact the bar after repeated requests to recieve a refund. The bar spit on ticketweb's name and they didn't seem to mind. Makes sense that such a terrible company would work and aasociate with such a rotten manager and bar such as the one I dealt with on New Year's Eve.

Ticketweb

Absolutely awful service

I have never been so frustrated with a service in my life, I literally just got off the phone with my bank after an hour because of them. I went to purchase tickets through this web service after being directed to them through a different venue. Once I went to purchase my tickets I accidentally entered my address wrong and I got an error message from ticketweb saying there was an error and they placed my funds on hold on my bank account, keep in mind this wasn't some measly $25, they put $200.59 on hold in my account. It is still currently on hold and it has been 5 days and I still cannot access my money. ALSO keep in mind my purchase never actually went though and I wasn't able to actually purchase the tickets. I had to use a separate web service and call the venue myself making a completely different purchase. OH and one more thing, this was on New Years Eve, so when I wanted to go out and actually spend my money I couldn't because this effing bullshit website put my money on hold.

Once i realized my money was still on hold i complained to the service and they basically told me my bank is the one who has the authority to issue my funds back. So I call my bank and they said no, they put the funds on hold. I talk to ticket web once again and they direct me back to my bank, you get the story. Absolutely ridiculous. after an hour speaking with my bank, ticket web AFTERALL had to call my bank themselves to remove the hold, once i was confident this would get done a ticket web customer service member said he would call me back with the resolution and i never heard back. This was my last draw. I still do not have my money back, it is still on hold and these fuckers didn't contact me or do anything about it.

NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE, EVER. THEY ARE AWFUL, TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS.

Ticketweb

Terrible service

I have bought tickets for an event in October. Firstly their website is very bland and hard to navigate. It doesn't tell you when to expect your tickets , it only tells you to call them a couple of days before the event. Do not buy tickets from this website if you intend on going to the event. There are many other websites

Ticketweb

An ancient dog of a site which is hurting the industry

I have been trying to integrate Ticketweb into a promoters website an still find it baffling that this company exists on the internet. Every other ticket service is able to do it (enven iFrames would be nice).
The promoter is a major promoter and so quite invested in Ticketweb making moving unfeasible. Not good for an industry.

There site itself is also a fine pice of vintage web design.

Ticketweb

Good Delivery Time

Received tickets within 5 days of purchasing.

However website was a little difficult

Ticketweb

Ticketweb sent tickets without a stamp so they arrived 7 days after gig

Ticketweb sent tickets in an envelope without a stamp, so they arrived 7 days after gig and I got charged £1.30 by the post office!

Ticketweb

Untrustworthy Ticketweb

My tickets never arrived & ticketweb said that I should take official photo id or my credit card to a gig to pick up replacements - I expected to relax, drink & dance like a madman to fat boy slim & where I would likely lose or have my documents stolen. A long email conversation & they agreed to refund, however, NEVER REFUNDED. Have raised with credit card company.
NOT TRUSTWORTHY

Company rip you off

I originally ordered 1 ticket to a gig in London I wanted to go to. Order went through fine. Then a friend from overseas was going to be in town on the date of the gig, so I went back online to order him a ticket to come with me to the gig. That is where the problems started with this company.

I went through the whole booking process only to get a message to say that because I had already bought a ticket on the same card for the same gig I couldn't complete my order, and to call a number if I needed further assistance.

I called the number, and it was a sales agent. The service fee online was £1 per ticket, the service fee by phone was £1.40. Fair enough it's only 40 pence more, but it is the principal. It was their company stopping me ordering online, as I had wanted to, so why should I pay the higher rate of service fee. I asked the agent this and was given a customer service number.

Called the customer service number, the agent was very friendly, but totally unable to assist my with processing the order with the lower service charge, even after asking her manager.

Since the gig is fast approaching and I want me friend to come with me I booked the ticket paying the higher service charge. BUT I have emailed the company complaining about this terrible practice, and to date have had no response from the company.

I will not be using this ticket agency again, and will make a point of warning friends, family etc not to use this company either, due to their bad practices.
