I ordered a set of luggage on Sunday. I checked My Account and saw that it was "Released for Delivery". Then I got an email from them on Monday saying that my address hadn't come through the ordering process and asked me to provide my address. I did so immediately. On Thursday afternoon I got an email from them saying my order had been cancelled "because the items you chose were so popular they sold out faster than our system could update". When I complained I got an email back saying they were sorry and my account would be credited with £5.99 to cover delivery on any future order. Trust me I would NEVER ever order anything from them again. What a shambles. It's the worst online ordering experience I have ever had.
I have always been a fan of TKMaxx and was really impressed when I ordered a designer bag from them! It is totally this season, was 75% off and came within a week. Packaged very well and I use it every day. They kept me updated with delivery and the product was exactly as it looked on site. I know TK Maxx has had some bad press, but I just don't know why!
Just before Christmas they had a premium eye cream when the order finally arrived it wasn't even that. After basically being fobbed off about the mistake the same Cream reappeared on the website at a much higher price, I found the entire handling of the mistake terrible. I lost all confidence in them and wont be ordering again.
Purchased a pair of trousers and a wooly cardigan and both arrived within 48hrs. The items were as described and the sizing on the site accurately described what arrived. All very good and excellent value. Cheers - will use again....
I was in the Rochdale store and the staff were very helpful in helping my son who is three. He needed the toilet (not the type you can just run outside for). They allowed us to use the staff toilet and were very quick in getting staff to take us. Hence no accidents thank god!!!! Thank you I did then go on to buy some thing as well, which I am very pleased with!!
I have purchased goods on a few occasions, never again. Everything I bought was either broken or substandard. As regards to the clothing it seems that they take the goods that retailers can not move or a last season's and try to sell them to the public at over inflated price's. The last thing I bought was an emergency phone charger, I left it in the packaging untill I need it, surprisingly in an emergency. And guess what it didn't work. Thanks tkmaxx. Will never set foot in the place again.
They used to charge for bags, you're hardly going to carry your clothes out of the store are you? They presumably found it wasn't good for business and dropped this. However, they now only allow 14 days to return items for a refund, very poor by general retail standards these days. Most stores offer 28 or 30 days. Even over Christmas they would not extend the 14 day refund period, bah humbug, I got caught out this time, as it used to be 28 days. My son and I had Norovirus over Christmas and New Year, so could not have returned within 14 days. They have no regard for customers, so shop elsewhere, presumably the goods are items they couldn't sell elsewhere anyway!
I went into the store in Bolton to return a Storm Digi Watch as it was faulty. This is the third time I have had to return these watches as only 1 out of 4 I bought is still working. These watches where supposed to be Christmas gifts. I turn up with another watch, which had stopped working but could not find my receipt. The item was still with its tags and in a protective wrapper, The Manager looked at the item and refused to give me a refund, as I did not have the correct receipt with me. This is complete lies as you do not need a receipt for an exchange or a credit note and as long as its faulty and you can prove you have bought the item from TK Maxx they should honour a full refund. Just ask Consumer watchdog regarding the "sales of goods act". I had a headache, was not in the mood for an argument with the Manager, and walked away. It turned out that I had the correct receipt with me after all and went back to him. He tried saying it is not the item on my receipt as they are not the same price. I told him the watch he is selling has the wrong price tag on it. I proved him wrong and received a full refund. It turns out that TK Maxx is selling the same watch at completely different prices as they were Selling the Storm Digi for £29.99 and I paid £16.99. In this store, there was on the shelf the same watch at these two different prices. I received no apology from him for messing me around. I will be contacting Trading Standards and Consumer direct about them and their returns policies. You can get some good deals but you need to check prices and I would never buy a watch there again as I had to return all but 1. So I now need to go Xmas shopping again. Not happy one little bit.
I been shopping with Tkmaxx for about 3 years now and never experienced any problems at all. They have bargains all year round and returning items ordered online to their store is a bonus as you don't need to worry about P&P costs. Is a shame they don't do worldwide delivery but perhaps in the near future they will. I recommend them to everybody!
You find the odd few bits which are half decent and yeah they have the big brands at small prices but the store in Exeter is like walking into a jumble sales the layout of the store makes no sense there is tuff everywhere and in some cases you literally have to dig your way through a pile of stuff to find what you want.
