This was a horrible company to work for.
As stated in previous posts the customer service from this company was rubbish. And my experience working there was just as bad.
I didn't work in sales but in the warehouse, where I would daily hear the managers tell us to send incorrect items when the correct items weren't in stock, just to buy a little time till their true purchases came back into stock.
We also had to work in dirty, cold and sometimes dangerous conditions. The warehouses were so overstocked, overspill would be put wherever there was a space. No decent system had ever been put in place to keep track of the stock and where it was located. Extending the time of finding an item, sometimes by days.
The company was constantly lying to their customers over the phone and making excuses that were frankly ludicrous. These guys would also send faulty or incorrect lower value or even graded items, and then claim that because the item wasn't checked when delivered (the customer usually wouldn't be given the opportunity to do so) then the company would claim they were not liable after the delivery driver had left. How they got away with this I have no idea.
The point of this was to hold onto your money for as long as they possibly could. This would usually take months of being fobbed off on the phone or having your emails ignored. Usually the only way to get your money returned to you was by threatening legal action. Getting a solicitor involved would usually result in a refund and sometimes compensation within a couple of days.
John Delaney, the owner was a tyrant who would fire anyone not doing things his way, and was at times capable of threatening and abusive outburst's.
John would hire anyone who came through the door, and didn't seem to care who they were or if the had any discernible skills at all. I know personally of 3 employees who couldn't even speak or read English. And these are the people who were picking your orders from the warehouse. No wonder, nothing worked right. John was only interested in getting your money. and would not invest any of it in either good staff or improving his infrastructure. Which is a shame because he had the contacts and could have got some good people working there to turn it around and really make a go of it. But this never really seemed to interest John, who as I say just wanted you to show him your money.
The average employment expectancy at this company was approx 4 weeks. New hire's would usually see the reality of the company and quit or be fired for any number of reasons. Damaging stock, making mistakes, asking for a raise, asking to be paid correctly, and being truthful to the customers were all valid reasons for dismissal. And from what I heard, John was always fighting unfair dismissal tribunals.
I didn't last too long with this company before moving on to very similar company that does thing's properly. Which made the world of difference in regards to my own personal job satisfaction. I can't imagine how anyone with a conscience could stay working for these criminals for more than 3 months. I'm well glad to be see the back of them.
I really hope this is truly the end for this wretched company. And I really, really hope they don't start up again under another name.

Terrible company, poor service, absolute dire experience with these cowboys.
Go to a well known reputable company, it may cost more, but it will be worth it for the peace of mind.
After many phone calls, letters, emails, and broken promises - I never received the goods I have ordered.
I requested a Visa debit chargeback from my bank, which I have now received.

Standard order :1x cooker in stock, extractor in stock, sink not you may have to wait up to ten working days thats what i was told and that was ok,but that was back in january the date is now 27february,to date i have been told repeatedly that i will get call backs from these people you will speak to when you call to order JOE,STEPHEN,SAM,NICKY,JOHNATHAN and others ,I have called them about 23 times since january and these people are out right liars plain and simple....I,M not a person who bothers to write reveiws sorry to say but with this exsperience i feel action needs to be taken! And can so many bad reports be wrong?
I am so upset that I've only just read these!!! I have called them 3 times over the last week - all of these times they should have contacted me.
I ordered the sink online, paid for the sink online and then... silence....
I called to find out why I hadn't had any confirmation (only from Sage that they'd taken my money) and they said they had SENT me a letter with a security code in it to confirm my delivery address. SENT?!?! I had completed the whole transaction online, why couldn't they send a security code to my email?
So get home, found the code - called them the next day. They wanted me to confirm my delivery address. The reason this was so complicated is that I work. Yes I know crazy isn't it, that for 8 hours a day I am not at my flat and therefor can't answer the door and receive deliveries. I stated that if they were able to deliver at the weekend then I would like to recieve the item to my home. They couldn't confirm when it would be delivered which made it hard for me to confirm a delivery address. AGH!!
Anyway I went with 1 address and said that they have to call me to let me know what day/time it's going to be delivered so I can make sure someone is there to receive. They promised to call me later..... they didn't.
I had to call them (the 3rd time now) and chase for a delivery date. Apparently it had been dispatched... thanks for letting me know... and I'll find out more on Monday (I'm guessing I'm going to have to call them again). FYI complaints can be directed at Sam.Saulter@tradingpost-appliances.co.uk
I'd rather not give me name (the company has my details and delivery address) and I fear revenge. But, lets say I am unhappy!!
Quick to take money, not so quick to tell me the item I had been waiting for for 4 weeks was never actually available, despite in the end making almost daily calls where I was given reassurances that it was all just a delay elsewhere. Turns out that's not the case (although the item is still for sale on their website) and having asked for a refund they are now just sitting on my money. 5 weeks of my cash. Brilliant. And customer services are soooooooo rude and infuriatingly, put the phone down and cut me off repeatedly - and I've not been remotely rude! I so wish I'd seen this site before ordering from them. I will be in touch with trading standards.
When we read these reviews we had already ordered the goods and paid nearly £500! We thought OMG what have we done!!! But we need not have worried. We ordered over the Christmas period. The goods arrived at the start of the week, we asked the courier not to deliver untill Friday(today) they duly arrived and were great. All was ok. Now we live down in Dorset so nowhere near them and we are very impressed with the service. Maybe we were just lucky but I think we would buy from them again!
purchased a sink it was by far the cheapest and in stock, im local so collected, would recommend. Seems a lot of disgruntled folks here thou, may be because a lot of folks will shout louder after a bad experience but remain quiete after a good one.
If it weren't for their cheap priices this company would have ceased trading a long time ago. Returned a sink to them which was several weeks late in delivery and despite the transport company confirming they had returned the sink to Trading Post they claimed not to have received it and as I had no proof of delivery I should claim from the transport company.

Absolutely pathetic. Gave me a two month runaround chasing an order i had made on a Belfast Sink and taps. They sat on my money and gave excuses over the phone. They did not reply to emails. Trading Standards need to investigate. I am awaiting my refund.

Item arrived at the end of the second week - they stated 2-3 weeks - item was £250 cheaper than anywhere else. Correct item delivered, undamaged by helpful courier - no probs.
I have never dealt with such an awful incompetent firm. If you get what you want and have no problems you're lucky. The moment you need any sort of customer service from these people the wheels fall off.
The staff are all complete muppets who lie and lie and lie.
I am currently trying to organise a charge back with my credit card company.
Avoid these crooks or pay the price!
[Update] Eventually got my money back after sending them a 'final notice before action letter', but I really can't describe just how much stress this company caused me, my wife thought I was going to have a break down![/UPDATE]

My story is as below. Wrong cooker delivered, Jonathon gives different answers each time I ask for a replacement - basically, they can't get a replacement. When I gave 3 alternatives, I got no answer when I rang and kept being put through to an answermachine. I, too am going to Trading Standards
placed order. salesperson told me product numebr had changed. item came. wrong item. called. jonathan said they'd send the right one. days passed. called. jonathan said he was waiting for the salesperson's paperwork adn he'll call tomorrow. days passed. called. jonathan said i got what i ordered, not their problem, i can send it back at my expense. i told him it was their error, their fault and their problem. have reported to trading standards and my credit card company. do not buy anything from this company. they are one of the worst companies i have ever had to waste my money and time dealing with. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Delivered me damaged goods and then refused to do anything about it. Thankfully my credit card company saw they were acting comlpetely unlawfully and have given me my money back. Do not use this company unless you want months of aggro.

This is an awful company to deal with - they tell lies, don't respond to phone calls or emails, send faulty and incorrect goods, and blame the customer. I ordered a cooker, hood and splashback and was assured that they would be delivered in two weeks from my order. The phone operator told me that they have access to the manufacturer's system and so could see when items would be delivered to Trading Post prior to delivery to me. The delivery date came and no delivery. I phoned them to be assured that the item was due in 3 days - again, no delivery. This went on for a further 3 weeks - I phoned them every few days and was always given a new delivery date which never happened. When I complained that I had been mislead on the delivery date, I was accused on lying. When the items finally arrived one month later, one is faulty and one is the wrong colour. Trading Post are refusing to replace the item which is the wrong colour - they say it is my fault and they couldn't possibly have made a mistake! I am going to contact Trading Standards for advice before I phone them about the faulty cooker as I can predict the customer service I will get from Trading Post! Zero!
Absolutely disgraceful customer service.
I've been without a kitchen for nearly 2 months now. They delivered the wrong sink, and I'm still waiting for them to pick it up and deliver the correct one.
I basically don't believe it will ever happen, and am now trying to swap or sell the wrong sink.
I'm going to report them to trading standards now I've seen so many others have had similar experiences. It's obviously not isolated!!
I won't be dealing with these people anymore. Ten days after ordering two appliances, and having my credit card debited, I received an e-mail saying that both were discontinued models, so I asked for a refund. It took another twenty days and numerous phone calls before the refund was actioned. Later I checked their website, only to find that they are still advertising these so called discontinued models.

This company couldn't care less about your customer experience. They lie about absolutely everything from lead times to issue resolution. They will tell you your order will be delivered 5-10 days from payment clearance. In fact, their orders take over a month. If you call them to chase up your orders, they will make up some rubbish about stock takes, item being out of stock and will tell you that your order will be despatched 3-5 working days, which never happens. The funny thing is when you call again and speak to a different person 5 minutes later, you will get a completely different story. Sorry for bad language but it's just a tin pot outfit staffed with complete incompetent bulshitters who couldn't care less about your experience. Save yourself trouble and go somewhere else. Any money you can save by buying it cheaper from this company is wasted on all the phone calls you have to make to find out what's happening with your order.

I bought a cooker, it was delivered damaged, informed them the same day of the problem, they said it's nothing to do with them. I have sent an email to the MD of the company and still no word. To the lady below who wants to know the owner of the company His name is John Delaney. it's a family run business. This tuesday will make it 4 weeks since the cooker was delivered. My advice to anyone who wants to buy something from them. If you want High blood pressure, bad quality/damaged goods and appalling customer service this is the place to shop from. To others who have to burned by these people PLEASE report them to Trading Standards they should not be allow to treat people like this.
Message for those who have been burned by them PLEASE PLEASE log on to a website called www.canyoutrustthem.com and post a message of your experience with this company. The more people that do so the better.

Goods delivered after 4 weeks (quoted 7 days) then a cheaper version arrived. Agreed to a refund which took 2 months and every time I phoned to enquire was lied to that it would be refunded the next day. When it finally arrived it was £50 less than I had agreed to. Staff unhelpful and sometimes rude and basically accused me of lying about accepting the refund. Do not use them.

No matter how much I hassled delivery never came. Kitchen fitters came - no cooker, no hob, had to buy others. Telephoned to cancel, was informed the items had left warehouse day before, therefore i had to pay £30 delivery fee. They never credited my credit card so I had to chase them six weeks after placing order. No apology just rude staff, told credit would be sent within 3 working days, when I commented on curt manner of member of staff, she put the phone down on me. When I called again, before I had said more than one word, she put the phone down on me again. I have tried and tried to get some form of apology but all I have received is that I now have to pay £80!!! Wish I could find out the name of the owner of this company. I will do my best to find it out. Wish I had found out about TrustPilot BEFORE I dealt with TradingPost.

I would give lower if possible. Ordered a sink they delivered an alternative without telling me. The one delivered was £100 cheaper and they didnt tell me. 6 weeks later I am still waiting for them to collect it and refund my money.
