Ive just got back from 2 weeks in Mexico booked with Diane from the Chester Travelbag office. I have to compliment both Travelbag and in particular Diane for her unmatched knowledge of Mexico/Cancun and her great customer satisfaction ethic.
The Hard Rock Hotel was tremendous and well worth the extra we eventually paid. The flights with BA were also top notch and we are very glad Diane receomeded them over the Thomas Cook flights we nearly went ahead and booked.

We have just returned from our cruise around New Zealand and we both enjoyed it very much. We would like to thank travelbag for your help and Jennifer's organisational skills for sorting this out. Anything went very smoothly, we even had good weather.
The location, the rooms, the food and especially the staff were all truly excellent. From the minute we got off the plane until they took us back to the airport absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Thanks to travelbag and Tim from the Chester office who were brilliant all the way though in sorting out my wife and I's trip to Bali and Bangkok. We had quite a few requirements but Tim was nothing but courteous and patient at all times.

I used Skyscanner to find the flights and dates I wanted and they put me through to the travelbag site. I gave my credit card details they took the money and I expected a confirmation. But instead they tell you they'll confirm in 72 hours. So I called them on a 0872 number (use App WeQ4U so it's free) and they were in fact polite and helpful BUT the flight at the price I had paid for was in fact gone. In the end I could get the price by changing our travel dates, but the fact is they took the credit card money and at that point the contract was made. They hook you in then use that as an opportunity to sell to you. This business model is probably legal (you clicked on agreeing to the conditions) but its dubious at best. Do not use them. NB I suspect the good reviews here are company Schills.
If you are booking a flight only think twice before using Travelbag. They can take up to 72 hours from when you make your request to when they actually book (that's right you don't get your booking when you select the flight through the website). That means that the price that was quoted when you looked at the flight will almost certainly have changed - if its higher they will definitely charge you the difference - if its lower you don't necessarily get a refund as I found out and the correspondence and service was just short of rude. By all means use the site to search and get comparisons but then book direct with the airline yourself to ensure you secure the flight and prices at the time. If they quote a 'low cost' airline it is almost certainly Ryanair or Easyjet so its quite simple to check their sites to find out and get the flight direct. It will also save you the £18 booking fee!

The hotel choice in LA was excellent and the airport flight timings were spot on with no delays between flights.
We were particularly grateful that you booked us an afternoon flight out of Miami at the end of the cruise because there was chaos at the ship terminal, seven cruise ships booked in for tranfers into one terminal had no chance of working. There were a lot of disgruntled passengers who had booked midday flights and missed them because the terminal closed down entries at least three times amounting to 2.1/2 hrs delay in leaving the ship!! We just sat back and watched (smugly). Because of the delays the airport transfers were also affected since the next set of passengers who were being shuttled in had to be organised in the car/bus park.
Thank you again and we would have no hesitation in using travelbag for a future break.
Booked with Travelbag after putting all my dates into SkyScanner. It bought Travelbag back as the cheapest, so i took a chance and booked with them.
Experience so far has been first class. Will be using again for the price and customer service.
My booking with Travelbag (holiday to New York and Mexico) was very impressive all the way through. Firstly, the price was cheaper than anyone else (i saw the add in the paper along with every other companies). Secondly, the person i spoke to was very polite and bent over backwards to help me get the date i wanted. Thirdly, aftersales service was great, easy to get hold of, prompt and courteous.
Overall, very impressive travel company to deal with.
All 3 words describe the girl who dealt with our honeymoon to Mexico. I know the travel industry pretty well and know how quick people are to moan but never bother to praise great service. Both the company and consultant were exemplary throughout, you cant train such heartfelt customer service. Absolutely brilliant!

Travelbag are the leaders in customer satisfaction. Both my parents and brother have used in the past and rave about the top customer service they received. I have used a couple of times for work purposes for flights to Europe in the last couple of months and am very happy with the high level of politeness and proffesionalism ive shown. Word of mouth needs to spread about how good they are.
Booked flights to Bangkok with SkyScanner. Travelbag came through as the lowest price so i clicked through and booked with them. Got a call with all my details about 20 minutes later. Very impressed with both SkyScanner and Travelbag.
I booked with travelbag to go to Rhodes at the very end of season 2013. I was unsure about traveling at that time of year but was reassured by the girl i spoke to on the phone. The main reason for traveling at this time of year was how cheap the flight and hotel were coming in at.
The weather was pretty good, chilly at night but nothing compared to back home. It was glorious in the day. The place we stayed was in the process of shutting down for winter but it was still excellent and cheap to go out. It was a good decision to go and very grateful that the girl at Travelbag recommended it to us.
Big respect to my people at travelbag who sorted out my trip to vegas with my buddies. Above and beyond my expectations. Customer service first class, price first class, advice on where to stay on the strip first class.
A special big out to the Chester office who dealt with my queries really well and really made me confident to book with them.
We booked a boys trip for 6 of us to South Africa, doing the Garden Route and ending up on Safari. It was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Beer and Coffee are particularly cheap over there so it made for a heady 8 days. The Garden Route is really something to look at and going on safari at 6am every morning something to really remember.
We booked everything with Travelbag as they were recommended to us, and we are glad we got that recommendation. Great all the way through and pointed us in the right direction every time. Great times.
Our holiday to KL and Bali was first class, the hotels recommended to us by Lewis from the Chester office were perfect. We found KL a fantastic place particularly for shopping and the contract between old town and new parts of the city a real eye opener. Bali is just a paradise.
We will certainly be booking with Travelbag again.
I'm not one for writing reviews however, following our multi-stop visit to Thailand I feel a 5 star rating is a must. We received excellent service throughout our stay.
The reps at each location were great in organising transfer times and reconfirming connecting flights, leaving us to relax and enjoy our holiday without any hassle.
Each of the three locations that we stayed at had fantastic accommodation, with extremely friendly staff. I fully recommend booking through travel-bag for a stress free holiday.
I cant talk highly enough of the experience we received when booking with Travelbag. We got Alison in the Chester office who was very helpful and extremely patient in dealing with all my calls. We are very happy with the service/price and most of all the patient way we were dealt with.
We have had a pretty terrible year this year, so we really need the pick me up of an end of year holiday, we are so glad we booked with Travelbag and Alison.
The internet prices are false, you book up and give card amount and details, they then phone you to increase amount by £39 each.
We mentioned the price promise on there website, and supplied another cheaper quote; they wont honour it.
We have cancelled and after 3 days are still waiting for transaction to be credited.....please please people do not use this company.

I used them through sky scanner thinking I was getting the best deal. After making the booking I got an email saying they would contact me to confirm booking (which I have never had in all my time using sky scanner) When they called me up they said my flight was no longer available at the quoted price even after taking card info. After some round about rubbish from them on the phone they told me I would be paying about £35 more than my original quoted price and they also said it was as cheap as anyone could do it including the airline. Well on the phone I went to the airlines web page and found my flight cheaper than the new quote from Travelbag, £25 quid more than my original but still £10 less than what they were trying to charge. They decided to match it and I eventually booked it, rather annoyed with them. At the end of the day the company is just trying to squeeze as much cash out of you as they can. If like me you use sky scanner and you see travelbag as an option I would advise using a different option even if it is the cheapest, there is always one the same or only a few pounds cheaper!

I booked with skyscanner.com only to find my actual booking was with Travelbag. I hadnt heard of them previously, but as they were the cheapest quote and seemed reputable i booked.
It turned out an excellent move. I got an email pretty soon after confirming everything for my Vegas flights, then a phone call asking if i was interested in Transfers or Hotels (i didnt as i stay with a friend), went through the details again and them got all my paperwork emailed to me by the end of that day. Perfect if like me, you try and avoid talking to companys on the phone!
Ive used Travelbag to book my annual holiday to Lanzarote for so long i cant remember the last travel agent i used. They have excellent customer service and choice. As much as i love Lanzarote, Ive been sold on going to Cancun next year by one of the girls in the Chester office who's just come back from the Hard Rock Hotel and it sounds that good im going to book to go there next year. Ive recommended before and will again in the future.
I received absolutely first class service in booking my 40 day Xmas Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, New York, Miami and Caribbean holiday today with Travelbag. First class knowledge of the places i wanted to go and all done with an absolute minimum of fuss. Business Class seats all the way through with no complications about availabilty, which is more than i can say about other companies. I would definately recommend for business or pleasure and will be looking them up again in April for my next trip.
Booked a week away in the Algarve with Travelbag. Bloke i spoke to was one of the nicest people ive ever met and very knowledgeable and helpful. Soon everything booked and then everything emailed to me within the hour. Extremely happy and will be spreading the word about them
Great service in booking my holiday with Travelbag. The person i spoke to had an excellent knowledge of the area and It was suggested i go to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, and this has turned out to be our best holiday to date!
From the time we boarded the plane going to Dubai to landing back at Heathrow we could not fault a single thing and will be looking to go back to the hotel again next year.
We were all well shuffed and would like to thank them and we look forward to booking again with Travelbag next year.
Have used them in the past for holidays abroad, it was mentioned that you can also use them to book UK hotels. So at very short notice i needed a hotel in Edinburgh for the fringe. Travelbag where the only ones who could offer me anything anywhere near where i needed to be. Great banter with the staff too which can really put you at ease. Top company very happy to big up to anyone who asks about a good travel agent.
We returned yesterday from our South Africa trip. We had a fantastic experience, due in most part to David Coupe's excellent advice concerning area and accommodation etc. Everything fitted together perfectly- Sanbona was wonderful- Lake Pleasant relaxing, and Cape Town fabulous. The seats on the plane were excellent and made our trip so much easier.
Car hire was excellent although we would have paid extra to have the car dropped off and picked up from the hotel. Car is the only way to explore these wonderful places.
I have used Travelbag to book quite a number of holidays to Dubai and since talking to and booking with Rob Vance the very first time, I would not book through any other travel agent.
Robs friendly voice and sheer hard work at booking exactly what you want goes beyond any other service I have had from other travel companies. If preferred hotel is unavailable, his patience at finding an alternative and also his knowledge of hotels/areas etc are second to none.
I have just booked another trip to Dubai through Rob this afternoon, and I know it wont be too long before I book through him again. I certainly will always book through Rob and I also always recommend him to my friends and family when they are travelling.

I had an excellent experience booking with Travelbag. Everything was perfect, which was really helpfull as the last company we used were awful. I was so impressed i will only use Travelbag from no on, as peace of mind is really important. I was also shocked to see so many negative reviews which just goes to show that some people just come on to moan.
Thanks to Danielle from the Chester office who was went above and beyond my expectations with her brilliant customer service for our holiday to Barbados. We managed to get a 2 Bed Villa despite them being sold out with every other travel agent we tried.
I had not heard of Travelbag previous to last night, however from now on they will be the only travel agent i enviage using.
I booked a flight to Vegas with Travelbag. For some reason my card payment failed and I was advised that a Rep would call me. I called them and was informed that the flight I had tried to book was now £40 more expensive. So I said no thanks. I went back to check their website and they were still advertising the cheaper price. I called them again to complain and was told that their site was not a 'live' site!
So how can they possibly advertise prices and allow a card transaction when they cannot allow a booking on-line.
This company is a scam. I am sure many people after spending time identifying and booking their flight would just pay the extra. I will not. I am going to complain to the advertising authorities.
Booked two hotels - one in Monterey one in San Francisco. Got an email about the Monterey one a day later telling me it was unavailable and offering me more expensive rooms in different hotels, most of which seemed to be available for less on other websites. After two phonecalls and two emails, I got an email about the San Francisco hotel FOUR DAYS later (not the 72 hours promised). The room which was quoted at £153 a night was unavailable but I could have a Deluxe room for £405 a night. I declined. Out of interest, I checked the Travelbag website again. The unavailable room was still on offer at £153 a night. Avoid unless you enjoy having your time wasted.
I used this outfit once - the customer service was fine until they get your money, after which they have no interest at all. We paid £6k for 2 weeks in Mexico (Travel bag were the cheapest). During the holiday we had an issue with our booked & paid for transport - it did not show. I emailed Travelbag (there was no rep to be found during the whole stay) and asked for their assistance and got a really helpful reply; 'call the transport provider and sort yourself'. A quality service provider they are not. We have at least 3 foreign holidays a year - none will ever be through Travelbag again. They have lost our business (circa £15k a year) for the price of a phone call. A business with a great future.....?

I booked flights for myself and two others to Dubai, finding travelbag's price the cheapest on a skyscanner comparison. After having looked for a while and keeping my eye on flights on skyscanner this seemed to be the best deal...how wrong was I!
I booked the flights then recieved the booking acknowledgement confirmation saying within 72 hours an agent would contact me to confirm the flights.
A little confused by the whole process I looked up travelbag online and my heart sank when I read mostly negative reviews of very unsatisfied customers. Like I expected I was told when I callled the next day that the availability for my return flight had changed so I could book a different flight costing an extra £60 per person and it flew from a different airport further away from where I live.
I have to say staff were initially very helpful and polite (with the exception of one very rude and clueless advisor I got when I had to call back). They were however unreachable during office hours at one point when I phoned so I left a message explaining I needed to speak with an advisor ASAP. This worried me further but when I got a call back from travelbag the advisor was helpful and happy to just go ahead and cancel the booking as no alternatives were of use to me. He assured me there would be no money debited from my account and he would send an email to confirm the cancellation.
I relaxed more by this stage and waited to recieve my email so I had it in writing. The money had not been taken from my account but my bank explained it could take up to five working days for funds to become available again...understandable.
So when the next morning I still had no email I decided to phone and find out if they had actually sent it. I spoke with the same advisor again who assured me the previous evening he had emailed me, we checked details and he sent it again even asking me to email him and he could reply. Still no luck....When I asked him what was I to do next he said "I really don't know" which filled me with not much hope. I suggested he try and email my partner to see if perhaps there was a problem with my account but he said due to data protection he could not send that info but my partner could send him a blank email to which he could reply.
As we were doing all this the advisor appeared to be rushing to get off the phone "I'm really needing to get on now" were his exact words. And when I asked him to wait until the email had been sorted he reluctantly agreed and then hung up the phone! Awful customer service in the end, and so annoying!! No the way to run a company.
Eventually I did recieve the email later on in the day (must have been a slow system) and a few days later my bank funds reappeared but I'm furious at the service its very misleading and dishonest. Please don't put yourself through what I did, I felt so worried until my money was back.
