Just bought a Microwave, Ordered it over the weekend for delivery on Wednesday 30th January 2013.
Delivered on schedule, but when i unpacked it and set it up, i found that it didn't sit flat on the kitchen worktop. i looked at the legs to find that one had been pushed in.
The box must have been dropped at some point.
i contacted Tribal Uk within an hour of delivery to explain the problem, they said they could not pick it up until next Monday and that i would have to wait until they received it back before they sent a new one out.
Very poor service, cant see why they could not send another one and collect the damaged one at the same time!
I found out about this company through Amazon marketplace. Price was cheaper than amazon. Delivery was free and next day. Much faster than Amazon Super-saver delivery. I could even select the delivery day in checkout. Delivery company sent me a text in the morning about an hour slot and delivered it on time.
I sent an email to company about my order through contact us link on site and got the repose back quickly. I even got 3% discount and hopefully 3% cashback through Quidco.
I ordered the radio on the Wednesday afternoon with delivery expected on the Friday. On Thursday I received an email and text message telling me that I would receive further contact on the Friday with an accurate delivery time. On Friday morniung i received both a text message and an email giving a time slot of 12.30 to 1.30. The package arrived at 12.45.
It is difficult to better that sort of service.
Did the usual searching to find the best possible price for a Sony LED TV (the 22" Smart TV - KDL22EX553BU). TribalUK was by far the best price I could get (and with free delivery). So of course I go ahead, make the purchase (on the credit card to be safe) and I'm a happy punter. For some reason, having made the purchase, I then start looking for reviews of Tribal (Doh!). Perhaps you, like me, then start finding some bad stories. A history of (apparent) poor service. Regret starts to sink in, but by then it's too late.
I think about cancelling the order, then I think of the hassle. So I search some more to try and find some good news. Which I do.... In September last year appears Tribal was bought by Hughes Electrical. Now these guys have a great reputation. So I'm feeling better. But I reserve judgement until the delivery date, which I was able to choose when I placed the order. Not all companies do that.
So today (Dec 21st) is the day of reckoning. Not only is the world due to end, but my TV is due to arrive. I just hope it turns up before that catastrophic event so I can watch it on my new TV.
So what happens? First thing I see is the invoice in my inbox from last night. OK, at least something is happening. Then, at 08:30, another note. "Your order will be delivered 21 December". Things are looking good. And then.... nothing happens.... for a little while anyway. At 10:22 precisely this very precise note turns up with a very precise message - "Your order is due for delivery between 15:22-16:22 today". Brilliant!! And guess what... it did!
I don't recall any other such precise delivery service, other than when my Olympics tickets were delivered. Maybe they are related. But, I can't fault it. Well done TribalUK and a Happy Christmas to you all....
Ordered a Hotpoint washing machine from Tribaluk, which was by far the cheapest anywhere i could find. The delivery man turned up on the date that i requested and within the time window i was given. Would definitely recommend.
