Funds taken out of account on day of ordering. Goods were not delivered within 30 days as promised. No contact from company. No apologies. Snotty responses to all emails. We are trying to get our money back, we have now been told we will get money back within 30 days, but having read other reviews it looks like legal proceedings will be the only way to retrieve our £900! Avoid this company at all costs.
....we went up to the store in Bedford to demand our money back. Again the staff were rude and told us that we wouldn't get a refund and that there was a national shortage on the pushchair we ordered. They also told us that they had replied to the emails we had sent which simply wasn't true. After a good half hour of demanding my money back and getting louder so that other customers could here I eventually got it back.
I printed the bad comments form this site prior to going to Bedford (100 mile round trip) and distributed them to potential customers outside the shop. Also my email to Watchdog was one of hundreds they had received and they aired a program slating the company. The MD had promised everyone a refund immediately. This is the second time the company has been investigated by Watchdog.
I eventually got the pushchair I was after the next day from a company called Peppermint. Friendly and helpful staff and the pushchair was in stock!!!!
Don't be tempted to buy from twoleftfeet. I ordered a pram and had to wait over 9 weeks for delivery even though they advised 5 weeks. Even then there was part of the order missing and I had to wait another 2 weeks for that.
There is no contact phone number if you want to chase your order. I had to send several emails enquiring about my order only to be fobbed off saying that they were waiting on a delivery. I should have checked the reviews before ordering. Oh well you live and learn.
I ordered my loola pushchair and car seat in december 2008, 30 days later no product delivered, I emailed them twice with no response. They refused to talk to me over the phone and will not respond to my emails. They took my money straight away and now they will not deliver the product and they will not give me a refund. I have contacted my credit card company and they are now going to get my money back from TLF.
This company has caused me nothing but stress!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
As first-time parents, we wanted to plan and organize things with plenty of time.
I've researched for a pram for a good two months prior to deciding on a Mountain Buggy, and the best deal was from Two Left Feet.
Placed the order 30/12/08, with the hope of receiving it by end of Jan. Not only we didn't receive the product, the communication from the After-sales Team was non-existent, and only when I contacted them after the month has passed I received a short reply saying that the product was being delivered in the next 3-7 days. That didn't happen either, which led me to check the reviews on this retailer and found a lot of horror stories.
As many other people mentioned in this useful site, I suggest you STAY WELL AWAY OF TWO LEFT FEET.
No customer should be left without After-sales service, and someone to discuss your Order with after it's been placed is a basic principle in retail, isn't it?
It's a pity I didn't check the reviews beforehand, as I'd rather pay more but receive a good service.
We ordered a travel system on 19th October 2008 and are still waiting for it, even though the website suggested that it would only take 4-5 weeks.
It is not possible to speak to anyone over the telephone once they have taken your money, all contact is via email.
Emails often go unanswered, or there is a delay in replying.
There has been no explanation or apology for the delay.
I have asked for my money back now and I hope that it is not too late to order a similar product from another company as my baby is due in only four weeks.
I wish I had read other customer reviews before paying for the product. I would certainly not recommend this website
Do not be tempted to buy from this shambolic company, especially if they're the only company that stocks the item you want...they claim to have items in stock that they simply haven't, then take your money and don't give it back when they can't fulfil the order! I ordered a potty on 10th August which failed to arrive within the 28 days specified on their website. No courtesy phone call or email to let me know. Due to the nature of the item it was quite important to receive it quickly so I had to buy one from elsewhere and cancelled my order on 7th September. This company does not allow you to talk to them on the phone (unless you're placing an order); all communication is through email which they mostly ignore. They claimed I cancelled on 24th September and offered to refund my money 'within not more than 30 days' of this date. Either way, the 30 days has now well and truly expired and still no refund. I have since emailed them 3 times, even threatening legal action, which they have completely ignored.
Our order was placed on September 4th and the money was taken immediately (715£). The order was supposed to take 28 days at most.
As we didn't receive a tracking number to follow the status of our delivery, we wrote to them few times... half of our emails remained unanswered.
On October 10th we've been told that they will receive our products within 7-10 days. This means that they took the money knowing they didn't have the products in stock... this wasn't stated on their website, I would probably not have ordered from them if I'd known.
We tried to contact them by phone... They don't deal with after sales over the phone and as they don't answer most of their emails, it's very difficult to get anyone to talk to. Plus, the people I talked to on the phone were extremely rude.
We still haven't received anything or received an update about the order. So we've decided to cancel the order (our baby is due for November 18th) and are now waiting for the refund. I can't believe I have to deal with this type of problem being at this stage at my pregnancy. This has caused me so much unnecessary stress and fatigue.
From this experience I learned few things:
- Do not buy from this company
- Do your research before buying online
- Make sure you pay by credit card, as your credit card company can help you to get your money back if you encounter this type of problem.
I placed and paid for an item. The company web site gave no indication of stock or delivery period. I tried telephoning but all I got was a recorded message saying that my call was important to them!!! Eventually I wrote to the MD but didn't get a reply. My emails also went unanswered. Eventually an email advised that the item takes 6-8 weeks delivery. That came and went and I'm still waiting for my item. I really don't advise anyone to deal with this rude, uncaring company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have had so much stress and wasted time and energy trying to get a refund out of this company and it took me 2 months! Ordered a childs car seat and when I 'phoned to see where it was it was out of stock with no delivery time so I asked for a refund. The money was not put back into my account and after countless 'phone calls (which take up to 1 hour or more and they wont discuss previous orders on the sales line) and numerous e-mails (which were also unanswered) a threat to take them to small claims court (three times) was my answer. I have reported them to trading standards. THE BEST WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK IS THROUGH YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD COMPANY USING A CHARGE BACK SERVICE WHICH IS FREE EVEN IF THE AMOUNT IS UNDER £100. Hope this helps others waiting for a refund or thinking of ordering with them.
We ordered a pram, buggy and car seat combo from them as they had the right colours in stock at a good price and could deliver within 14 days. 14 days later, it turns out they didn't have the goods in stock and didn't bother letting us know until we contacted them. Customer service is appalling - once I'd worked out where to send my email to I got several emails saying "we have no recorded emails from this address", "no previous emails attached" etc. We had to buy the goods from Mothercare and John Lewis in the end as baby arrived before the goods did and we weren't getting home from hospital without a car seat.
I sent a cancellation email as soon as the goods were overdue as I saw all these reviews. When I hadn't had a refund 30 days later I filed a claim with the HMCS Money Claim Online service. The refund, court fees and interest were subsequently paid in full by the company behind Two Left Feet.
At a time when my wife should have been calm these people added dangerous levels of stress. Don't go near them with a barge pole. If you have placed an order, have no goods and can't get a refund, try the HMCS Money Claim Online service - it worked for us.
