I ordered an item on the Monday morning, which was actually cheaper than anywhere else I found on a Google search.
Received an email response from the online store a couple of hours later in acknowledgment of the order , and the actual item two days later on the Wednesday.
Excellent service, and a very smooth, efficient transaction.
I would certainly recommend this online company based on my experience.
I ordered a Jagwire Gear Cable Kit from these guys on Sunday evening and by Tuesday the package arrived and it was exactly what I needed. Most other online stores seemed to be out of stock, so I used UK Bike Store for the first time. The price was also good and same if not better than some of the so called 'leading' online stores. Bought a bike lock from them at a very good price. Item arrived when they said (couple of days to get from supplier). Was not charged until item was dispatched. Would use again, although as another shopper suggested I did ring first to check availability.
Ordered a seat post clamp from them as they were the cheapest, I made sure to phone them up first to check the item was in stock (as there are no real stock levels available on the website) and after ordering the item arrived next day.
Would certainly use in the future, making sure to check the availability by giving them a call first.
I asked for one of their standard products - a bicycle child carrier seat (Co-Pilot Limo) to have its standard EX1 bike rack to be swapped out for an EX1 for disc braked bikes. They had no trouble, the price was adjusted favourably to suit the difference in the rack costs, it was all delivered on time and as promised and everyone was happy. Hope the reveiws pick up guys :)
Ordered an item which turned out not to be in stock. Got a message saying they should get it in about a month. Nearly two months later, no item, no further communication and they still had my money (sent via paypal, so they hadn't committed the no-no of charging my credit card before sending goods). Requested refund.
I attempted to order bike parts from UK Bike Store but did not receive the goods. Their service standard is lacking, they do not communicate and in my opinion you cannot be sure that you will get what you pay for.
In short, I was given gift vouchers by my girlfriend for UK Bike Store which I have not been able to redeem. I ordered a number of items using the voucher but UK Bike Store did not dispatch any goods. I have requested the goods and asked for a refund but they have not responded.
